Chapter 23 Beach Day

The past few days on Gaea had been very peaceful with only a few small Gohma attacks. It was so peaceful that Asura's family along with Balder, Rosa, Bayonetta, Luka, and Loki decided to go to the beach and have some fun and relax.
Bayonetta absolutely loved going to the beach as a child. She remembered building sandcastle sand collecting seashells with her parents. Now she was older Bayonetta enjoyed other beach activities such as surfing and volleyball. Bayonetta had her hair down and was sporting a black bikini and top that showed off all her curves. She smiled at little as the other beach goers stopped what they were doing to look at her as she walked across the beach. Bayonetta located a good surfboard and paddled out to the sea to get some waves. She made it deeper out to sea got in position as a wave arrived and the board got picked up. Bayonetta stood up with a smirk on her face as she rode the board across the wave.
Bayonetta could here cheering from her family and companions as they watched her surf. Her battle senses then alerted her of a threat as a few Gohma Stingers burst out of the water ahead of her and tried to attack her.
"You lot aren't going to ruin my beach day." Said Bayonetta as she conjured her guns into her hands ready to fight.
Bayonetta blasted the Gohma and used her hips to steer the surfboard out of the path of the Stingers that managed to avoid getting shot. In a matter of minutes the Stingers were all eliminated. Bayonetta was fixing to ride another wave before heading back to shore, when her danger senses picked up again. She glanced down at the water and saw a Gohma Glider rising up from beneath the water with it's jaws wide open attending to swallow her whole!
"Nice try!" Said Bayonetta as she tensed her body and jumped onto the back end of the surfboard causing it to lean back just barely avoiding the snapping jaws of the Glider and the board and Bayonetta to ride the geyser that shot out of the water alongside the Glider as it rose out of the water.
Bayonetta jumped off the surfboard and fired several bullets into the Glider's right eye making it scream in pain and trash as both it and Bayonetta fell back towards the ocean. The witch then summoned Madam Butterfly who delivered several powerful punches to the Glider before delivering one last powerful punch that smashed a hole though the Gohma killing the creature and sent it flying off into the distance.
The crowd cheered as Bayonetta and Madam Butterfly exchanged a quick first bump. Bayonetta landed on the surfboard and made her way back to shore where she was hailed as a hero by the beach goers.
Later that day as the sun was setting Asura's family and Bayonetta's family were all together watching the sunset.
"This was a good day." Durga.
"I couldn't agree more." Said Rosa.
"Some unexpected company from the Gohma, but other then that it's was a good day and I got to put on a bit of a show." Said Bayonetta.
"We really don't get too many days like this." Said Balder.
"We don't, but we can change that. Once Vlitra shows itself will use everything we got to put a end to it and the Gohma once and for all. I promise to use every ounce of strength I have to make that happen." Said Asura.
"And I will use all of my strength to help see that through." Said Balder.
"As will I." Said Bayonetta.
"Thank you both." Said Asura with a bow.
The sun then finally set ending the nice little beach day. Little did anyone know that trouble was fast approaching on the horizon and many events would shake up their world.
