Chapter 24 Space War

A few weeks later there were numerous earthquakes around Gaea as well as a few large Goham attacks. The people of the Shinkoku, Lumen, and Umbra studied these phenomenon sand quickly came to the conclusion that Vlitra itself would emerge from the planet and attempt to wipe out the human race.
With the admit threat coming the combined forces Shinkoku, Lumen, and Umbra quickly went about making sure the people of the various villages and cities were either evacuated or the people were moved to much safer areas as they prepared for an all out assault on Vlitra and the Goham.
Up above the planet the Karma Fortress floated along with a vast fleet of ships and warriors ready for battle. Emperor Strada, Grand Elder Odin, and Grand Elder Hel were on the Karma Fortress to oversee the battle and provide instructions and encouragement to their warriors. Deus, Olga, Sergei, Kalrow were also on the Karma Fortress to protect the base and give out commands.
Asura Augus, Yasha, and Wyzen were out among the ship's ready to lead the armies into battle. Bayonetta got into the Queen Sheba and Balder got into the Jubileus to join in the battle.
Mithra was in a special chamber aboard the Karma Fortress where she could use her powers to take prayers and turn them into Mantra was accompanied by Durga, Loki, Rosa, and Luka.
Hundreds of Goham Gliders, Lashers, and Carriers began to emerge from the planet's surface and head towards the army in space. Emperor Strada addressed the armed forces.
"Tonight, the Impure have defiled and scorched our land, but it is we who shall live to see tomorrow's light. Legion of Demigods! Lumen Sages! Umbra Witches! Heed your Priestress' words, and purify our land once and for all!"
"Faithful people of Shinkoku! Offer your prayers! They will become Mantra to aid us in battle. Let us offer Gaea the greatest blessing in the name of Emperor Strada. May the Mantra guide you to victory. Purify any who threaten to desecrate our land, divine warriors of Shinkoku! Even if you fall in battle, your soul is eternal. With his Majesty's power, you shall be reincarnated in a golden paradise and rejoice in prosperity for all eternity." Said Mirtha to the gathered forces.
Both Asura and Durga felt a immense sense of pride for their daughter before the battle began.
The two armies collided as ships exploded, Goham were blasted, sliced, or bashed to bits, demons fell, angels fell, Lumen fell, Umbra fell, and demigods fell as well. The Demigod Generals, Queen Sheba, and Jubileus tore through the horde of the Goham as they searched for Vlitra. The battle raged on with neither side was making any real progress, so Deus gave the command to fire the Karma Fortress to fire it's most powerful weapon, a cannon called the Brahmastra. A powerful beam of energy shot out of the forehead of the Karma Fortress destroying tons of Goham in the process as it struck the planet.
All was calm and Asura, Yasha, Bayonetta, and Balder were stunned by the powerful display of the cannon. Then they saw something happening on the planet's surface.
"Behold! Vlitra is rising!" Yelled Wyzen pointing at the planet below.
A enormous shape began to emerge from the planet's surface. It was Vlitra and it resembled a enormous serpent made of rock and lava. Vlitra let out a mighty roar as more Goham appeared alongside it and rushed to attack the army.
"Attack!" Yelled Asura as he rushed towards Vlitra followed by the rest of the army.
Vlitra let out a terrible roar as it's mouth opened and unleashed a massive barrage of powerful lasers. The lasers struck Asura and the others with great force knocking them all back and inflicting a good amount of damage on the army.
Mirtha sensed her father and uncle's pain.
"Father!" Said Mirtha as she sent Mantra to the two of them.
Asura and Yasha were immediately healed and powered up by the Mantra and we're ready to go after Vlitra. Asura sprouted four more arms to show he was powered up. Bayonetta came up with a crazy idea to get Asura close to Vlitra.
"Time to end this mess." Said Bayonetta as she had Queen Sheba grab Asura and then she tossed him at Vlitra with all her might!
Asura flew with incredible speed at Vlitra dodging more lasers as he fired a few blasts of his own at the serpent, before he made contact with the head of the beast and delivered a powerful punch that inflicted a great deal of damage on Vlitra making it scream in pain as cracks appeared all over it's body. Asura was thrown off and was fixing to attack again, but Vlitra knocked him away with a energy blast from it's mouth before it sank back into the planet, wounded, but still alive.
Asura was furious and annoyed about not being able to kill Vlitra. The beast still lived and it would continue to cause more trouble for Gaea in the future. What Asura had done was simply subdue it.
Aboard the Karma Fortress, Deus was surprised at what he had seen Asura do. Deus realized that Mithra had given Asura the power to injury and force Vlitra to retreat.
"With that kind of power at our disposal, we can end Vlitra and the Goham once and for all and turn this world into a paradise." Thought Deus.
Unbeknownst to Deus, Loptr was in the shadows watching him. Loptr smirked with glee. Humans were very easy to manipulate and with Deus's help the Sovereign Power and the Eyes of the World would be his.
