Sorry for being late! I forgot about halloween and had to visit my folks during the holiday.
WARNING TAG: DEATH!

Right.
Yang did not know what she was thinking when she and Ruby charged in for Round 2.
Did they think everything was suddenly going to go their way just because they were fighting for revenge and justice?
Yang scoffed at that, or at least she would have if she were able to.
As it was, she only began to choke on her blood more and only her hands reaching up to her neck blocked the blood from spurting out of her throat.
Damn did dying hurt. Yet there was only so much pain and adrenaline one's body could take before their mind goes into shock. It was the only reason Yang could think of that allowed her to have such thoughts like this despite being on the brink of death.
Still, despite the damage done to her, Yang knew she was lucky because the ass wasn't just aiming to slit her throat, he was aiming to cut her head off!
Only instincts saved her from instant death as she managed to lean her head back right before her Aura broke.
She wasn't fast enough to avoid it completely however but it did stop her from dying instantly. Instead, she was just dying slowly.
Fuck her life.
"YANG!" She heard Ruby, Blake, and Weiss shout as she fell sideways.
She watched as her sister got manhandled by Roman down to the floor and while Weiss tried to put up a fight, she was no match for Neo while she was distracted. It wasn't long after that until the large Faunus decided to join the fight and leave Yang's side before managing to grab Weiss and slam her towards the floor.
By then, Team RWBY was down for the count with Blake being the only one on her knees watching them struggle.
"This is the price of your betrayal, Blake." Adam Taurus piped in, pointing his sword at Yang's crumpled form before continuing. "This? This is all your fault."
Oh like hell it is!
Yang wanted to assure Blake that no, this was not her fault. Blake had no idea she was even leading them here in fact, Blake wasn't even leading them! The only reason they were in the first place was to back up Ruby who encountered the White Fang!
So yeah, what was happening to her was not Blake's fault. Instead, it was this ass' fault for getting her with a cheap shot!
Yet it was a cheap shot that worked and all Yang could do was curse the guy inside her mind as she struggled to breath. Gods, she wanted to punch his face in but all she could do was lay there and cover her throat for as long as she could. She couldn't even lean away from Ruby's wide eyes and by the gods did she hate that.
Yang didn't have a lot of regrets but what she was showing her sister right now was something she really really regretted. If only she could turn just a bit then Ruby wouldn't have to see her sister dying….
Dying…
Yeah….that's what was happening to her.
Warm blood started to seep through her hands as she felt coldness begin to invade her body.
Not…good.
Her thoughts slowed and the edges of her vision started to darken. All she could see then were Ruby's silver eyes looking straight at her.
Gods…Ruby…..I'm so-
And then ruby-colored light appeared in front of her and out comes a streak of black so fast that Yang couldn't even take note of it because finally, her vision completely goes dark.

The moment Raven felt Yang's Aura break through their connection was the moment she shot up her bed.
It was still dark outside but Raven did not care, she was already grabbing Omen and her mask from her bedside before cutting a portal through reality.
Her heart beat fast then as she leapt through the portal while still wearing her nightwear. She must have made a strange sight for anyone involved. A woman loosely wearing a black kimono while wearing a Grimm mask coming out of thin air? Nobody should have been expecting her but these guys did.
Before she knew it, Raven was already ducking past under a sword swing and parrying another.
"You again."
She heard a man growl and Raven snapped her eyes towards him for a moment to see one of the guys who attacked Qrow.
This fuckers again? Raven glared at him as she assessed her situation.
Adam Taurus was here and he was not alone.
A large Faunus sneered at her while Roman Torchwick and his partner inched away from them back towards another room.
Her eyes don't linger on them for long however because she immediately scans the area for Yang. What she does find stops her heart however.
Yang, her daughter, laid sideways while clutching her neck as blood pooled on the floor near her head.
Raven had a choice. Kill these motherfuckers and let Yang bleed out to death or save her daughter.
It wasn't even a choice.
Ba-Dump!
A heartbeat later and she was swinging her sword around her for all she was worth. Omen screeched through the air as her eyes blazed behind her mask and fire shot down her blade.
The powers of the Spring Maiden answer her call and flames form around her.
Screams rang out around her then but it was too late, she had the space she needed as everyone leapt away at the sudden wave of fire enveloping and streaming through the air around her.
She wasted no time. She dashed to her daughter and knelt beside her as she gingerly brought a hand to her neck. She tried to pull her daughter's hands away only for her to gasp as blood weakly spurted out of a gash.
Damn it.
She could feel her heart beating rapidly under her chest while tears began to prick her eyes. She will not give up that easily however. One hand clenched on Omen tightly even as the other closed around her daughter's neck.
Not giving her the time to doubt herself, Raven heats up her hand to seal the wound close. She could hear skin sizzle but she didn't have the luxury to check on her daughter further because someone was already shouting in her direction.
"FOR THE WHITE FANG!"
A chainsword revved to life and Raven barely looked up to see the large Faunus charging through the now dying fire. Heavy steps neared her as Raven saw the man begin to swing his chainsword down towards them.
She didn't even need to think.
Raven rose up and Omen whipped out twice with a thin layer of fire still running across it. The first swing slices the chainsword into two, the second was a return stroke that cuts a head off.
Aura was useless when brought up against the superheated sword of a Maiden and the Faunus falls dead in front of her just before he reaches Yang. Blood sprayed out from his decapitated corpse, staining the floor near Yang even more as the head landed just beside Raven's feet.
Silence dominated the area for a moment but only for a moment. The man dying in front of her acted as a signal.
Everyone moved.
"Yang!"
Rose petals suddenly burst beside her to materialize as a figure kneeling worriedly next to Yang. Raven was just about to swing her sword before she managed to stop it. It took her a moment to realize that this was not Summer Rose. Instead, Ruby Rose bit her lip worriedly at Raven as the two looked at each other.
She blinked as she looked down at her…daughter's sister.
Ruby Rose looked queasy at the blood and the dead body around them but she gripped her sister's shoulder tightly while still looking up at Raven.
She was just about to speak when the train they were apparently in suddenly decided to shake.

Time: 2:57 AM
Lisa Lavender was in the middle of writing her piece on Pyrrha Nikos when she felt the ground shake.
At first, she didn't think much of it. After all, it wasn't so strange to feel as if the ground was moving after intaking ungodly amounts of caffeine while having little sleep. Instead, it was even expected for her heart to do quick jumps!
Was it healthy? Of course not! But Lisa was a firm believer that the only thing that separated her from other journalists out there was diligence and hard work! That and talent, beauty, and contacts with the criminal underworld.
Still, one does not just write a tabloid piece about Pyrrha Nikos.
One must aim to write a masterpiece instead!
Nothing stirs up a crowd like a celebrity's love life does and the potential Lisa could smell on Pyrrha Nikos' love life? Priceless.
Still, one must tease the public's interest first if one wants to be a credible source. Any sudden accusations would just have Lisa be labeled as a liar.
And thus, the late-nighter and hours and hours of researching, note-taking, and writing.
A visit to an orphanage here, nothing too suspicious but it would get some raised eyebrows. That was of course until they find out that it was all just a mission assigned by Vale's Police Department.
Still, that was only the beginning because the next thing they know, Lisa posts about Pyrrha Nikos' team and their closeness to one another. Again, nothing too scandalous or suspicious but being a team of two boys and two girls would certainly have eyes aimed at them. Specifically, at the boys.
Now normally, things like that would just be overlooked as normal but Pyrrha Nikos was not normal. She was extraordinary and thus, people would look at them in a not so normal way.
Tongues would start to wag and rumors, no matter how ridiculous, would start to pop up. Is Pyrrha Nikos dating one of them or better yet, both of them?! What if she likes women?! Does Pyrrha Nikos actually have a harem formed from her team?!
Lisa could already see it and a smile crawls up her face. While everyone else was wondering if Pyrrha Nikos even has a love life or not, Lisa was already researching her potential target.
Jaune Arc.
And then finally…..bam!
Pyrrha Nikos, mooning over taken man, Jaune Arc!
And together with the headline? A picture of Pyrrha pining over Jaune Arc.
Now all she needed was something to make Jaune Arc a lot more memorable in the minds of the masses other than being a taken man. After all, he got the Invincible Girl's attention, so there must be something special about him.
Not to mention, Lisa knew something about the kid. He was involved in stopping Roman Torchwick. Other than a promising Huntsman-in-Training, what else could he be that he would be put in charge of his team over Pyrrha Nikos? Ozpin's apprentice perhaps?
No, no, even that was too much.
Perhaps, the coffee really was getting to Lisa.
She sighed, leaning away from her Scroll and looking at the ceiling above her.
Regardless, a smile forms on her face.
No matter what Jaune Arc was, special agent, spy, another prodigy, or something else, Lisa already had the biggest scoop of the season.
Too bad that the biggest scoop she was working on gets figuratively thrown out the window two minutes later as a huge explosion rocks the southern districts of Vale.
BOOM!

Blake stumbled as the train shook around them.
"Fuck! Adam, we're going to pass the station connected to Point Bravo!" Roman shouted from the engine room in front of them and Blake's wide eyes met Adam's who only looked at her behind his Grimm mask.
"Adam! Can you hear me, you bastard?!" Roman screamed again and it is only then does Adam turn around from them before walking toward the engine room.
"Can you stop it?" She heard him ask but Blake was already running towards Yang while warily staring at the strange woman beside them.
Before either of them could speak however, the train shook even more as Roman's voice filters in from the Engine Room.
"SHIT! WE'RE GOING TO HIT VALE!"
The thing about trains was they were supposed to stay on rails.
This train didn't.
Blake's eyes widened and the world slowed down as she got thrown off her feet. She had a moment to witness Yang's body slowly lift up from the floor. She saw Ruby and the strange woman crouch down to embrace Yang but before Blake could even reach them, the world was already speeding up and Weiss was crashing straight into her.
One word was all she heard before everything went to hell.
"DUST!"
Ice formed around them right as Blake saw a bright light flash right near the Engine Room.
Location: Southern Wall, Vale.
Time: 2:59 AM
"Did you feel that?" Condal asked his fellow guard, Hess, as they stood on one of the gates below Vale's walls.
"Shut up, Condal. I'm busy trying to think of a plan to have Rhae-Rhae and Alice fly off into the sunset." Hess replied.
Condal rolled his eyes at that but kept his eyes peeled open.
Guarding the gates, especially at night, was mostly a boring assignment for Vale's meager defense force but every now and then, Condal and Hess loved being assigned to it. It gave them peace and more than that, some time to write their own novels like what Hess was doing right now.
Still, that didn't mean they could neglect their jobs so while Hess was busy writing, Condal was peering beyond the wall. The gate might have already been closed but that didn't mean that there wouldn't be any late night travelers trying to enter the city because of some emergency.
No need to leave them to the Grimm when Condal could just open the gate a bit before closing it back. Sure, the people might have to leave their cars out in the open for the night but hey, it was better than being eaten by the Grimm.
His eyes widened however when the ground near the wall in front of them bucked upward.
"Hess! Something is-" Was all he could say before suddenly, the walls around the gate were shaking.
See, the thing about Vale's walls was that it was built deep into the ground, except in some cases. Those cases happen to be where old underground railways were and wouldn't you know it, the gate Condal and Hess were guarding was just on top of one of them.
He knew it because every single member of Vale's defense force had to learn every possible way into Vale. He knew the southern wall was unique. They were the only ones with railways under them leading from Mountain Glenn!
It should have been blocked off during the Fall of Mountain Glenn to stop the Grimm from flooding into Vale but just the fact something was happening right now told Condal something was wrong.
He didn't know what it was just yet but whatever it was, it was above his pay grade.
So when he saw the ground warp, Condal was already running.
Hess wasn't so lucky. She was sitting against the wall when everything happened.
He fell to his knees as the world shook and Condal felt the ground beneath them push the wall upward around him a bit. A heartbeat later and it was suddenly all falling back down. Any other day and if it was just a normal earthquake then that would be it, the wall would be cracked but other than that, it would have been fine.
This time however, the ground didn't just shake.
It exploded.
And so at 2:59 AM, Condal and Hess die in a fiery explosion.
At 3:00 AM, that section of the wall was being blown wide open as a train crashed into downtown Vale.
At 3:01 AM, the train finally stops and Vale was slow to wake up to the sights of explosions and Grimm suddenly marching inside it.
Time: 3:02 AM
Weiss Schnee slowly woke up to a ringing sound beside her.
She could not make out the words but Weiss still winced at it. Her ears rang at every single noise and she felt her sore body groan in protest as she tried to put a hand on her head.
What….happened?
She remembers….Yang….Ruby….and then the training speeding up and shaking.
And finally…..crashing just as she managed to spray Ice Dust around them.
Her eyes snap open as she finally remembers everything. Kneeling beside her was her teammate, Blake Belladonna, looking frantically around them.
She must have felt her movement because Blake suddenly snaps towards her. Weiss still couldn't hear the words Blake was certainly shouting at her however.
"WHAT?!" She screams back or at least she thinks she did.
Blake's face falls at her but Weiss only shakes her head slowly with her eyes closed. Eventually her hearing slowly returns as she struggles to sit up.
She freezes however when she finally takes in what Blake was saying.
"They're gone, Weiss. I can't find them." Blake murmurs and it is only then does Weiss notice the tears pricking her teammate's eyes.
Her eyes immediately scan the area around them and all she could see were broken pieces of metal, wires and a dead body that Weiss tried not to linger at. She felt queasy at the sight but shakes her head as she notes the smoke flowing out to a hole in the ceiling. How that exactly happened, Weiss did not know but she was happy to attribute that to the train crashing.
What she was not happy about was the lack of Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long around them.
Yang….
"Yang?! Ruby?!" She shouts but it is not them that answers.
"Schnee." Adam Taurus glared as he hovered painfully just beyond to the Engine Room in front of them.
His mask cracked and Weiss gasped as an SDC brand stared back at her.
Adam survives by virtue of Raven needing to do something else.
P.S. Fuck Condal and Hess!
