Inuyasha stared down the well, "Damn it," He said out loud. His friends were sitting against a tree ten feet away and Kikyo was with her sister. Inuyasha moved to try again but Sesshomaru graced them with his presents. Miroku and Sango stood while Inuyasha glared at him, "Well?" He snapped,

Sesshomaru looked down the well and Inuyasha sniffed, "Why do I smell her on you," He growled. Sesshomaru slowly turned his head towards his brother, "Time can not separate the bond,"

"There ain't no bond! I thought you said you could fight it!"

"To fight it is to fight her Inuyasha,"

"What does that mean!"

"Is Lady Kagome ok?" Miroku asked making Sesshomaru turn his eyes to him, "She is angry but in one piece,"

"What did you do to her!" Inuyasha made a fist,

"I did nothing,"

Inuyasha backed up, "But, I smell her,"

"She came to me," He threaded his fingers through his hair.

"Came to you?" Inuyasha mumbled confused,

"It was mothers idea,"

"Your mother's idea?" Miroku questioned, "Kagome is not hurt is she?"

"Just her fragile feelings,"

Sango growled and narrowed her eyes, making the demon Lord look at her "Something you wish to say, slayer?"

"Dont be an ass!"

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes, "My mother brought the Miko to me, fear not, my mother's magic is stronger than my will,"

"But for how long?" Miroku asked suddenly,

"You doubt me as well?"

"I do not doubt your strength at all,"

The two men looked at each other eye to eye and Sesshomaru knew the monk could read him.

"Having her close helped."

"Then why is her feelings hurt," Inuyasha snapped,

"The only way to cure this is death,"

Sango sighed, "You said death was more inviting didnt you."

He did not like the fact that these people knew him so well.

Inuyasha took out his sword, "Well why dont I just help with that,"

"Inuyasha, killing him alone would only cause her more pain,"

"Dont say it like she cares for him,"

Sesshomaru smirked, "Does it bother you that much,"

"What, what!"

"Perhaps I should indulge in her feelings,"

Inuyasha growled and pointed his sword "I said stay away from her!"

"Enough!" Sango yelled, "You two stop it!"

Both men looked at her, "Inuyasha you have no say in Kagome's feelings, and you!" She pointed at Sesshomaru "Stop playing with her like she food!"

A small breeze ran through the clearing and through the leaves of the tall thousand-year-old trees.

Sesshomaru ignored the slayer and looked down at Inuyasha's sword, unafraid of it. "If you point that sword, point it at us both,"

"Cant you do something!" Inuyasha yelled,

The brothers stared at each other and slowly Inuyasha lowered his sword. Sesshomaru did not answer him and then turned and began to walk away.

Miroku stared and Inuyasha whose ears went down and then at Sango who nodded. Miroku followed Sesshomaru deep into the woods.

"My Lord," He said making Sesshomaru stop again, "We all understand the power of the moon, but, if you care for her why fight it?"

"For the same reason she fights it,"

Miroku stopped breathing for a second and then sighed, "To protect, but I dont understand, it seems simple."

"You humans," Sesshomaru sneered, "The Miko wanted Inuyasha to choose her for her, not for who she may have been,"

Miroku tilted his head,

Sesshomaru looked away, "She will not accept the moon's forces of my feelings, just as she did not accept his false feelings,"

Miroku's eyes went wide and then he smiled, "Sometimes it is just that simple,"

Sesshomaru looked at him,

Miroku pointed up, through the tree canopy, "The moon is not out my Lord, it is not more forcing your feelings right now than hers,"

Miroku bowed, "With all due respect, you do have a choice and so does she," He stood up "And lies are beneath you,"

Mirkou turned and walked away.
