A few days had passed since the incident that occurred at Gym Gamma. The students of Classes 1-A and Hatsume were informed about who the Kamaboko squad was. Of course, the students were shocked to find out about their status and that they were from another world. Not only that, but they were slayers. Demon slayers, to be exact.
Midoriya acknowledged their fighting styles during their training. They were certainly experienced, maybe even more than Ojiro and their teacher. Bakugo knew that something was off with them from the moment he set eyes on them. He considered them untrustworthy from the very beginning. Todoroki noticed something different about them too, and they rarely knew things that any common teen should be able to know. Kanao was able to adapt quickly, and Zenitsu was picking up the pace, but the rest were almost hopeless.
Their curiosity and doubts had been cleared thanks to the clarification of what was misunderstood between them. However, the students felt guilty, apologized to them for what had happened so far, and hoped for a fresh start.
And so it continues...
"As you can see, it is not the prettiest question, but try to see if you can solve it. Raise your hand if you know the answer." Ectoplasm looked away from the board to the twenty-six students in front of him.
Most of the students were scribbling down how to solve the equation. This was one of the hardest math questions they've seen since their first year here. Inosuke chewed his pen, not bothering since he had no idea what to even do in this situation. He was still struggling with the basics of this topic, and now this. Kanao and Genya had ideas but couldn't arrive at an answer, no matter how hard they tried.
In the midst of sizzling brains and groans of frustration from the students, a hand shot up, causing Ectoplasm to glance its way.
"Yes Yaoyorozu."
"Damn it. That was one tough question. I couldn't find an answer no matter how hard I tried." Genya stood up from his desk once the bell rang, signaling for lunch. Other students were also going to leave for lunch at the cafeteria.
"I'm surprised that you even had a method of solving that thing." Zenitsu stated, walking next to him.
"I'm sure you will get it next time, Genya, and let's do our best, Zenitsu." Tanjirou encouraged the gloomy boys.
"It's just a question anyway." Kanao looked at Inosuke, who was already standing at his desk, heading to the group.
"It is not like you attempted it anyway." Zenitsu hissed.
"What was that, Buttnitsu?"
"Okay. That is enough." Tanjirou said he was coming in between the two. Nezuko patted both their heads to prevent them from fighting again. Soon they were in the cafeteria, sitting on an unoccupied table. They were used to sitting amongst themselves and had gotten to know one another better than before.
"Mind if we join you?" Tanjirou looked up, seeing the rest of Class 1-A behind them.
"By all means." The entire class sat next to each other and started small discussions between themselves.
"Yaomomo is the smartest in our class. I mean, she always ranks first in midterms. Didn't you see the way she answered that question flawlessly today?" Mina spoke to those around her.
"Eh? Really? You are really good then." Genya replied in awe.
The brunette that was spoken off flushed in embarrassment. "I'm not that good."
Jirou sighed "You are. You really have to appreciate praise like that."
"Oh my..." Uraraka squealed. "The lunch rush has done it again. This food is amazing."
"I second that, Kero." Asui chimed in.
"Have you guys tried your food yet?" Sure enough, Inosuke was showing down the tempura in a sloppy way. Iida had to reprimand him for stopping or else he could choke, but Zenitsu interfered, saying that it was a waste of time.
"Aren't you eating Tanjirou?" Midoriya asked the boy. He hasn't touched his food since they got here, and he has been staring at everyone else. The boy broke out of his stupor, finally showing signs of reaction.
"I was just thinking about something." Bakugo glanced at the boy and continued to eat his food, ignoring their conversation. "Yeah, I was about to begin. I never knew you liked Katsudon.. Nezuko and the others were enjoying their meal while talking to the rest.
"It is my favorite food."
"I've always liked Fatsia sprouts."
"That explains your lunch." Midoriya smiled. Tanjirou hummed and thanked her for the meal.
"And that is how my hair changed color." Kaminari, Kirishima, and Sero blankly stared at Zenitsu. They had no words, but hey, who were they to judge? They lived in a superhuman society.
"I still find it hard to believe that." Sero snickered.
"I thought it was dyed." Todoroki spoke.
"You were listening?" The dual-haired boy nodded, confused by why they were surprised. "You have two-toned hair for crying out loud." Zenitsu pointed to his hair.
"UMAI!!"
The entire table jumped because of the boisterous voice. Slowly, their heads turned to Tanjirou, who was happily eating his meal. Midoriya himself had been shocked by how he yelled. The stares didn't even stop the lad as he continued eating enthusiastically. "This is so good," he happily stated.
Zenitsu and Inosuke stopped looking at their friend. He kept on saying that word after each bite and decided to join in, confusing the rest. Of course, Inosuke had turned it into a competition while some boys (*cough*)—Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero (*cough*)—cheered them on. Yes, they gained some odd looks from other tables, but it was fun and entertaining.
Sniffing could then be heard now, as Tanjirou was the first to break down. Tear droplets could be seen slowly forming in his eyes, making the students perplexed by the sudden change in mood. Zenitsu also began sniffing, while Inosuke became unexpectedly quiet, but one could notice that his body was shaking. They could tell he was fighting back to hold back the tears.
Kanao and Genya didn't speak but glanced worrisomely at their friends, knowing the cause of their sobs.
"Hey dudes, anything wrong? We are here to help." Kirishima began. This was the first time they had seen three of their classmates looking so down. Tanjirou wiped his face before thanking him for the meal again once he soon finished.
"It's fine. It's just that, that single word reminded me of someone." Tanjirou smiled sadly. Kirishima withdrew his hand as his friends gave him a sign that it must be a touchy subject they weren't willing to go deep into.
"So you guys are like the heroes in your world?" Mina intervened to loosen the silent tension engulfing the table. Thankfully, it worked.
"You could say that," Kanao replied.
"Do you guys have something like Pro Heroes or just the six of you?"
"No, we have Hashiras. Otherwise known as Pillars, they are the strongest group among the demon slayer corps."
"Wow! That is awesome."
"During our fight against the demons, We noticed that our swords and attacks produced effects. They don't show water or lightning effects." Zenitsu showed down the last rice ball. They examined with the others breathing techniques and their derivatives.
"Wait, so you are saying that there were no effects before. It suddenly just started happening."Midoriya took note of this.
"Yeah. We think it has something to do with us coming here."
"Nezuko's fire technique was so cool. She was all badass, you know." Mina energetically exclaimed, getting bumped up.
"I think she's getting overhyped, Mina." Jirou set her down.
"But to think that you guys were already doing this at our age." Ojiro spoke. "Isn't that too harsh?"
"Our world is far from peaceful when Muzan is still alive." Tanjirou frowned.
"Who's that?"
"Oh, he means MJ!"
"Who now?"
"The smooth criminal, you know, hee hee guy."
"Shut it, Pikachu!" Bakugo growled as everyone gave him weird looks. "It's that demon king they told us about."
"Mmm.. Your world sounds very dark." Tokoyami commented. No one said anything after that. The students wondered how their lives must be to kill demons all the time.
"If it isn't class 1-A," Almost everyone rolled their eyes. Monoma came towards the desk. " Huh? It's rare to see you all gathered here together. Some sort of conspiracy arose, my dear class."
"Where is Kendo when you need her?" Kirishima groaned. Monoma snickered at their reaction. His eyes darted to the slayers, who were practically ignoring him, all except for Nezuko and Kanao, who were confused.
"I must say at least some of you have the decency to look up to me." The blonde snorted.
"Excuse me?" Kaminari frowned. "You need to go back to where you came from."
"Yeah, you heard him. Shoo, go do Monoma things somewhere else." Mina added, using her hand to dismiss him. "By the way, where is Bakugo?"
"Oh, he left once he saw Monoma." Sero responded. They all glanced at his seat, correlating to what Sero said—he was gone. Iida heaves a sigh of relief. If Bakugo stayed, a fight might have broken out since Kendo isn't here yet.
"I just wanted to remind you that Class B stands tall. We are superior, and you are."Everyone gaped at Inosuke, who threw a headbutt at the blonde.
"He's just unconscious or whatever." The wild boy waved it off. He was tired of his antics and made too much trouble. Kendo had just arrived, and it was startling to see someone else other than Bakugo attack him. She apologized for his behavior and soon left them to continue their meal.
"You guys are patrolling?" Uraraka asked curiously. It was 9 p.m. in the dorms. Most of their classmates had gone to bed except the slayers and a few others that stayed in the general area.
Tanjirou nodded "Yes, we are. Well, only us three are going." He pointed at himself and his two best friends. Genya and Kanao stayed behind in case anything happened and watched his little sister.
"Does Mr. Aizawa know? It would be best to inform him about your leaving." Iida spoke.
"Don't worry. We can handle it. He is already aware."
"Tontaro, Monitsu, and I can handle it, no problem. Yosh! Let's go." Inosuke proudly said, rushing out of the dorms with his two friends following behind. The rest of the class bid them safe patrolling.
The Kamaboko trio made their way across the city, and thanks to their senses, they were able to scout any low-level demon available and fend it off. Some of them had mild blood demon arts that put up a weak fight. It had been a full hour since they started.
The night was rowdy, with car noises and people enveloping the streets. Luckily, no one noticed them having mastered how to be less attractive during their mission at the entertainment district.
They made their way by jumping from rooftops and houses in the area non-stop. Soon, they came to a halt after Zenitsu suggested a break. They watched from the rooftops how people seemed so carefree in this world, knowing that heroes were available, whereas in their world, demon slayers were scarce, and despite few knowing about their existence, their minds were not at ease.
"I miss the butterfly mansion." Zenitsu let out a deep sigh. "Naho, Sumi, Kiyo, Aoi, and the others."
Inosuke grunted in response, agreeing with his friend. He certainly wasn't used to modern civilization and missed going out to mother nature to find acorn. He missed Aoi's cooking and Shinobu. He refused to admit it.
Tanjirou hummed. They made new friends, like members of Class 1-A and people such as their teachers and the detective, but home is where the heart belongs. Besides, they still have a battle to finish, which has barely begun. ' I hope the former pillars and Kiriya are all right. They must be frantic about our disappearance.'
Immediately, Tanjirou's breath hitched. His eyes widened as his noise detected a huge, ominous scent. He immediately took off, forgetting about his comrades.
"Gonpachiro!/Tanjirou!" Both his friends called out, rushing after him. The boy being called out didn't stop and continued. He bit his lips, trudging forward, taking a left turn to a narrow corner, and skidding under the truck before continuing his dash.
The ominous wave was getting thicker. He glanced back, seeing his subordinates tailing behind them. Whatever he detected was not something he should charge into.
"I thought you inherited Inosuke's brain for a moment there. Why did you rush out on us like that?" Zenitsu scolded.
"I'm sorry. There was this ominous scent I detected. Another demon." Tanjirou explained.
"Normally, you are the one supposed to be scolding both of us." Zenitsu took note, his eyes darting to Inosuke, who was shaking nervously. How unlike him!
"Demon slayers? This world is full of surprises."
The three boys came to an abrupt stop. Tanjirou hesitated to move forward. His eyes gaped as he looked at the demon in front of him.
Upper-moon one.
Taisho secret
Inosuke wanted to pay back Monoma for that time.
* Nezuko made sure to pat the three boysheads after lunch.
*To everyone's shock, Genya and Bakugo's relationship improved over training. Genya was giving Bakugo some pointers on aiming and making while Bakugo taught him the use of stun grenades. It was safe to say that they didn't fight a lot anymore.

"Kanao, do you have a crush on anyone?" Mina asked, throwing her arm around the girl. Kanao blinks a few times before losing her composure and turning red.
"Ah! I see. Who is the lucky guy?"
"Mina, you can't just ask Kanao things like that." Uraraka said she wascoming to defend the flustered girl."And who says you aren't like her?Or should I say, "
Uraraka waves her hands in front of Mina, ushering her to stop while turning red. Satisfied, Mina grinned widely as Uraraka floated upwards.
"Uh Oh." Thefluster girl watched as Uraraka floated inawe.
"Next, Chapter 19: Waves of Threat. Release." Uraraka placed her fingers together and landed on the chair, relieved.
