ALLIANCE ARC

The streets of Musutafu were busy once again. Both young and old continued their various activities for the day.

Heroes walked by, greeting fellow citizens while patrolling the area and stopping criminals. Mount Kamui had recently caught three armed men robbing a ramen restaurant.

He handed them to the police, who were about to leave the scene until he could hear some voices. The thing is, no one was talking at that moment. Where did it come from? He had no idea.

Curiously, he strolled out of the restaurant, trying to pinpoint where the noise was coming from. Outside, it was busy, but then again, he heard a series of curses that followed. The person seemed to be particularly angry.

No one was in that heated moment. Glancing at the road, he furrowed his eyes before scratching his head. He placed an ear on the ground, ignoring the looks bystanders gave him. A few seconds later, he fell to his back, his entire face turning pale.

"FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCKING MUZAN! FUCKING DEMONS! FUCKING PLACE! FUCKING SEWAGE! Where are you, cowards? I'LL KILL EVERYONE OF YOU BASTARDS!!"

Damn, How pissed he was!

A vein popped on the side of his head, designed with an ungodly amount of scars. He had seethed and raged long enough, and nothing seemed to happen. He just couldn't find a way out.

The following sewage ran quietly past the spiky, long, white-haired man, who gritted his teeth. "Tch! Just my luck." He turned, facing the dark path from whence he came. Should he turn back or move forward?

He picked up the latter and sighed before moving again. It has been a day since he got to this strange place. It was quiet last night, but this morning he heard rumbling from above, which led to the conclusion that he was underground. He searched many times for a way out. Shouting, climbing, everything, but it was all in vain. The annoying part was that he didn't locate any demons or hear from the other pillars. To say he couldn't understand anything was an understatement.

This place reeked badly. So bad to the extent that he almost lost his sanity. If not for the pledge he made that he refused to leave anything important to him after the death of Muzan, That bastard cost him and his fellow colleagues a lot of pain. Kaguya Ubuyashiki was dead, burnt to crisps, along with his wife and two daughters. There was nothing he could do to bring them back. That's why...

"I'll kill them all." He muttered angrily, facing the darkness in front of him. He wanted to end this and make it peaceful for himself and his stupid little brother, as he would put it. The idiot shouldn't have joined the demon-slayer corps at all.

He came to a halt soon enough, listening. Footsteps could be heard approaching him. The man didn't let his guard down. He held the hilt of his sword, eyes furrowed, gripping the hold tightly. He readied himself in case it was a demon.

Immediately, he drew his sword before gaping as it came into contact with another sword. He snarled, overpowering the swordholder before jumping backwards. He snarled, clicking his tongue and eyes, boring the so-called demon.

"Shinazugawa-san, How unexpected of us to run into you." A pitched voice gasped. Sanemi flinched slightly, his frown deepening more as his eyes landed on Kanroji Mitsuri.

"Why did you attack me?" Tomioka asked, eyeing the wind pillar.

"I thought you were a demon." The man responded by walking away from the two.

"Hey? Where are you going? It's best if we stick together." Mitsuri called out. He continued walking away, ignoring the two, till he was pulled on his fabric by Tomioka.

"Get your hand off me!" Sanemi yelled, smacking his hand away. Giyuu's expression didn't change. "Why the hell would I stick with you idiots?"

"Don't you think it would be better if we stuck together?" Mitsuri pouted at the insult.

"Screw this; I'm leaving." He finished leaving the two. He turned to the left, ignoring the pillars, only to look back and see them following him. He didn't argue or say anything. The three continued in silence.

'This is not what I had in mind.' Mitsuri thought, glancing at the two men next to her side from time to time. She wondered how the others were. She and Obanai were together before she found herself here.

Giyuu found Mitsuri, or more like, they found each other when they both fell at the same time. It was comforting, at least, to know one of your comrades was here with you. He hasn't heard from the others, including the Kamaboko squad, making him wonder how Tanjirou was. It was going to take a while to get used to Shinazugawa not being here.

Giyuu stopped walking, catching the attention of the other two. He looked up, seeing a little light from the roof.

"Oi, wha-huh?" Sanemi's gaze trailed to the light source. There was a ladder attached to the wall and a few holes on top of the ceiling. He quickly scampered up the ladder, pushing the man hole aside, only to be greeted with the sun's rays blinding his eyes temporarily. How pleasant.

"Oi! There is light up here." Tomioka and Mitsuri flinched slightly before following him. Finally, Mitsuri came out on top. She looked gleeful, but then again, her head started spinning. There were so many tall buildings that she had never seen before.

"Where are we?" Tomioka mumbled.

"How the heck are we supposed to know?" Sanemi snapped.

"You shouldn't answer then." Sanemi's wild smile appeared, slowly glaring at the water pillar. Before he could retort, Mitsuri spoke.

"Umm... what's going on?" The two men faced her, catching sight of an ongoing commotion. The next thing that happened resulted in an explosion.

Obanai had not even spent five minutes in this new environment, and he was already frustrated. First of all, Master is dead. Second, Muzak is alive somewhere, but they have to locate him before he gets away. Third, he had no idea where he was. Fourth, Mitsuri is missing.

Kaburamaru hissed softly at his friend.

"I know. She and the others are probably nearby." He said he was jumping down from the rooftop of a short home. He landed without any casualties. Great, now he had to find Muzan.

A thud was heard behind him from the dumpster behind him, causing his friend to hear it. The short man would have dismissed it, but he stopped once he heard a groan. A voice all too familiar.

Turning around, he faces the misty Pillar, who clutched his head. "What happened?" Muichiro sat up, looking around him. His eyes spotted the snake pillar as it shone in recognition.

"Iguro-san..." Muichiro trailed off, rubbing his head. "Where am I?"

"I have no idea, honesty speaking. It seems like we are in a strange place." Muichiro blinks at the short man. "Also, we have to hurry and find Muzan before he escapes. That is our priority at the moment." He finished pulling Muichiro out of the dumpster.

The boy nodded, remembering what they had to do. Find Muzan and kill him. The others must be doing the same. His thoughts were disrupted by a shriek, possibly from a woman. A group of people looked at the commotion.

"Iguro-san! " Muichiro called.

"Yeah. Let's g-" An explosion caught him off guard because it happened near them. Thankfully, both slayers were on guard and managed to avoid the flying debris aimed at them.

Obanai narrowed his eyes at the approaching figure. Slitted eyes peered at the man. That was when it clicked.

Demons.

No words were exchanged as the slayers were about to attack until it disappeared. Police officers arrived at the scene soon enough.

"Place your hands behind your back!" One officer shouted at the two, aiming his gun at them. The other officers did the same.

"Why is the government police here?" Iguro asked, slightly annoyed that the demon was getting away. It was a battle of death among the slayers and demons. Aren't the Kakushi supposed to evacuate residents in the area? Oh, right, they weren't here in this strange place, and neither did they know where they were.

"Reasoning with these idiots would slow us down." Muichiro stated casually, not heeding the officers. He exchanged a look with his senior as they both nodded and rushed off.

"Hey! Get back here." One of the officers yelled.

Rounds of bullets were shot at the two. It was random, so no harm was done. Muichiro recognized the weapon they held, reminding him of Genya's, who used something like that in the swordsmith village. Aren't the police meant to be holding batons and ropes?

He faced them again, stiffening at the sight of a black cat dressed in a police uniform. Obanai was taken aback to see Muichiro heading in the opposite direction. His eyes met those of the black cat.

"Are they so oblivious?" He muttered, running with Muichiro, both aiming to draw out their swords.

'Mist breathing, first form.'

Mist began enveloping the scenery, confusing the officers. He was fast, they all thought. A powerful thrust was heard, startling all of them. The man cried out loudly in anguish. Fear was written on their faces as his gaze settled on them.

"Why are you working with this demon?" Muichiro spat, glaring at the nearly-dead man.

"Yosuke!" An officer yelled, running towards the bleeding man with a cloth and pressing the wound firmly. All the officers snapped out of their shock, aiming their guns at him.

"He's a kid. Not more than fourteen years by his looks."

"What is he doing with a sword?"

"A murderer?!"

"Strike him down."

"But he's a mere child."

"Are you blind? Look at what he did."

Muichiro had heard enough. These people were crazy. Perhaps it was the effect of blood-demon art.

Obanai stood next to Muichiro now as he witnessed what happened. His face darkened, reminding him of his dark past. These people definitely lost their brain cells.

"Arrest them! The other one is an accomplice."

"Are you dumb?" A brown-haired male officer flinched at the young boy's tone. "Are you so stupid to realize how exceedingly dumb your comrades are? That is not normal, and neither are all of you. If you used your head a little, you might understand. He stopped once a gun was raised at him.

"Because of you! Yosuke-kun is going to die!" A female officer angrily said it, tears brimming out of her eyes. Her finger was nearly pulling the trigger.

"Don't!" The chief exclaimed.

Suddenly, the gun was knocked out of her hand, smashing it against the nearby wall. The lady withdrew her hand fiercely from the stinging pain she felt from the kick's impact.

Multiple veins popped on the side of his head. Mitsuri jerked at the dark aura emating from Sanemi as he chuckled darkly.

"Oi! Oi! Oi! It seems like you have some fun brewing up here. Mind if I tag along?"

"Nezuko Kamado is gone." Kiyo cried.

"So are Miss Shinobu and the other Pillars." Sumi sobbed.

"Not even their crows can be traced." Naho continued. The three sniffed while Suma comforted them.

"Has anyone seen the former sound pillar?" Shinjuro asked those in the room. Just then, Senjuro rushed in.

"The sound pillar is missing!"

"What do you mean he is missing?" Makio asked doubtfully.

"Next, Chapter 22: Trouble."

"This is getting troublesome, alright."
