"Tanjirou!" Mitsuri and Muichiro pounced on the boy with gleeful smiles on their faces, relieved to see the boy. The Pro-Heroes they engaged were barely conscious but could only get a blurry glimpse of what was happening. Tanjirou wrestled to be let loose, if only for a second. One, they were barely giving him space to breathe, and two, his nose has picked up another wave of murderous intent aside from Bakugo. Gulping, he glanced at Obanai from the corner of his eye and flinched, not liking the expression he gave him at all. Noticing the color of his face was changing, the others except Bakugo tried to pry them off.
"I think that's enough now." Genya said she was trying to tell Muichiro to release him while Kanao pried Mitsuri off, only for the Pillar to hug her instead of muttering incoherent words.
Tanjirou gasped after being set free. He sighed happily, knowing that they had gotten these three. He wondered how the others were holding up with Sanemi and Giyuu. Immediately, he felt a hand gripping his shoulder tightly. Turning, he met face-to-face with an enraged Snake Pillar.
"Iguro-san, It wasn't like that." He began waving his hands quickly to defend himself but was cut off from a hit by Iguro, knocking him out. Bakugo smirked proudly, still annoyed by the fact he didn't get his turn. Kanao, Genya, and Muichiro blinked. Midoriya wondered why they weren't coming to his aid, while Mitsuri, still oblivious, fawned over the two strangers.
"Now that it's been dealt with," Obanai straightened his composure, walking towards the others, leaving Tanjirou's body. "Can someone explain what is going on?"
"Now isn't a good time. First, we need to get away." Kanao explained as she and the greenette approached the knocked-out slayer.
" You. I don't seem to remember you, and why are you trying to touch Tanjirou?" Muichiro grabbed Midoriya by the wrist as he was about to pick up his friend.
"They are not what you think they are. They are allies." Iguro and Muichiro eyed the two students suspiciously.
"Is that so? Alright." Iguro flinched, hearing Mitsuri.
"Any friend of Tanjirou is mine as well." He swiftly turned his head, gaping at Muichiro. The others looked at him, expecting an answer. He sighed before nodding along.
"But... I don't think I fully trust you yet. Whatever you are, if they say you aren't demons", Iguro informed them, not bothering to look at them as he moved to the other Pillars side. Bakugo internally scoffed, rolling his eyes at the short man. Maybe he would have been better following Hawks and that crybaby.
"The police and heroes would arrive soon. We should get going." Midoriya stated, looking at Gang Orca and Kamui. "We will meet up with the others at U.A."
"Yeah, we get it, Deku!" Bakugo snapped, irritated by the explanation that was stated for the 7th time on their expenditure.
"Okay. Let's go."
Zenitsu sat on the roof of a flat, waiting patiently with his eyes drifting to the No. 2 Pro Hero on a call. From what he heard, he said a lot of words relating to his society. 'Hero Commission' is probably an agency of some sort.
He sighed a little, wondering why he was chosen to come along. Inosuke would have been better suited for this type of job with his spatial awareness. Now that he thinks about it, why didn't they pick him? Tipping his head backward, Inosuke would blow his cover easily, especially given the situation he is in.
"From what I gathered from my last meeting with them, it looks like Shigaraki hasn't been found yet. Ah, yes, I'll notify you at the end of the day. Alright, Bye." Hawks sighed, cutting the call. The blonde boy fully heard the conversation due to his sensitive ears.
'A double agent, huh? Wonder what that's all about.' Zenitsu wondered, gazing at the hero's figure. A shadow blocked the light from above, forcing him to look up.
The pile of feathers carrying Sanemi and Giyuu landed in front of the duo. Immediately, they retreated back to their owner. Sanemi's eyes shot open as he sat up on the cold surface of the floor.
He immediately seized his sword, as did Giyuu, looking at the new environment. Both eyes landed on Hawks first, about to attack, until the man spoke.
"Woah! Woah! Now, we aren't here to fight."
"We?" Giyuu asked.
"Um, right here, Tomioka-san." Zenitsu internally cursed at how the two didn't even gaze at him. Was he that unnoticable? It was almost like he was a side character.
"A demon slayer." Sanemi's eyebrows were knitted.
"You are one of Tanjirou's friends." Zenitsu smiled inwardly; at least Tomioka remembered him in some way.
Suddenly, he gasped from the force that Sanemi had gathered to pin him down. His eyes were full of rage as he glared at the boy.
"What do you think you are doing with that feathered freak?!" Zenitsu panicked, placing his own hands on top of the pillars to let loose.
"Shinazugawa, you shoul-"
"Shut up, Tomioka! If he is from the corps, he should know that demons are the enemies." Sanemi barked angrily at the raven-haired man.
"Shinazugawa-san, I can explain." Zenitsu spoke, gaining his attention. The man glared at him threateningly before releasing him.
"They are not demons. They are humans just like us." Sanemi had enough and was ready to knock some sense into the blonde, but Tomioka held his forearm. Sanemi forced a crazy smile as a vein popped from the side of his head.
"Oi! Tomioka, This isn't time for another ass-wiping session. Now let go." Sanemi slapped his arm away, pulling his haori forward to deliver a blow, but Giyuu dodged it, not wanting to get hit.
Immediately, Sanemi clicked his tongue and forced a powerful slam to the water pillar's back. Simply brushing it off, Giyuu distanced himself from the bloodthirsty man.
"Okay." Feathers blocked the wind pillars way around him. "Guest talking isn't your style. Sorry to cut short your spar, but this is an urgent retrieval mission."
Zenitsu was contemplating whether to be happy the man interfered or furious for not doing so sooner. Either way, they stopped, right? Should be alright, right?
"Come again." The store attendant waved goodbye to the customer who had walked a few meters away. He walked callously on the pavement, holding a grocery bag in hand.
"Guess that is all." He took a glance at his phone. A message notification was placed underneath the time.
'We might need more bread. Can you stop bythe bakery while you are shopping? Thanks again for volunteering.'
The boy checked the time.
6:48 pm
Placing his phone back in his pocket, he continued his journey onward to a familiar bakery.
"Welcome, how may I help you?" The lady, most likely to be in her early twenties, smiled at him.
He hummed, scratching his head. "I would like to purchase some bread."
"Shokupan?"
"Yes."
"Alright. Please hold on."
Once she left, he took the chance to scan the bakery. His friends are very familiar with this bakery. There were various pastries, goodies, sweets, and jams, plus the attendant was bright. Almost reminding him of a certain green-haired boy.
She came back with the bread, handing it over to her customer. He replied with a short thank-you, taking it from her hands as he paid.
"Are you by any chance from U.A?" The boy nodded.
"Ah, so that's why you looked familiar. You are that kid from the sports festival. You were doing well there."
He scratched his head again, feeling a bit abashed by the praise.
"Hitoshi Shinso, am I right? Your friends talked about you a lot while coming to purchase from here." He awkwardly blinks his eyes as a nervous smile crawls up his face.
Suddenly, a short but piercing scream rang from the back. The lady startled and apologized to the boy before leaving him confused at what was happening.
"What's going on? Did anyone get hurt?" She came to the aid of the shocked assistants, all staring at something.
Shinsou curiously peeked at the scene. Something, or rather, someone, stood out amongst them in the most dramatic way possible. The figure sat down, but in a stylish way, as flour covered his entire body.
"Damn, this is the most unflashy entrance and reaction I've experienced."
Taisho secret
* Deku made it clear to stay far away from Mitsuri anytime he sights Obanai.
*Kanao internally raged when Tanjirou was knocked out.
*Uzui didn't anticipate for Flour to diminish his flamboyant entrance to the story. Neither did he expect the author to do dirty to him.
