This story loosely takes place towards the end of the episode 'Ulysses,' after Ulysses admits he has fallen in love with Xena. She agrees to stay around in Ithaca. With Penelope dead, Xena thinks her life is finally settling into place and that she can finally love again. However, she soon discovers that life in Ithaca is far from peaceful, and her biggest obstacle yet...Ares.

Xena, still determined to be the Destroyer of Nations, now faces a life she never imagined—motherhood and a home with Borias. While he dreams of peace, her thirst for power and conquest remains. The life she shares with Borias feels at odds with the conqueror spirit that still burns within her, leaving her torn between love and destiny.

The Huns Part V: As the Huns seek peace, the Gokturks ascend to power, causing conflict between the fused empires. Arielle starts to doubt her ability to lead her people as she continues to encounter resistance from the Persians. To assist with the conflict, Xena and Gabrielle find themselves intertwined in Persian political warfare that could destroy the Hun-Persian alliance.

(Xena/Ares) What would it take for a god to lose the will to live? a sequel to "Starting Anew" (AU, post-canon)

Xena, Gabrielle, and Eve face destruction as the gods unleash their wrath. At her breaking point, Xena calls for Ares. He reminds her of their deal: his help in exchange for her becoming his and bearing his child. Desperate, Xena accepts, but with the deal made, her path to redemption becomes uncertain, and darker thoughts begin to cloud her mind.

A cut scene I found in my archives, originally written as the ending for my story "Fortuna's Champion" (Outsiders Book II). It was supposed to go at the end of the story, before the Epilogue. I cut it because it didn't fit structurally, but it makes a little vignette in its own right. (X/A)

Once Xena learns that she has to go to Chin to kill the Green Dragon, all hell breaks loose- but what the Bard breaks a certain War God has to mend so, once again the Warrior Princess is a lucky woman. As there is always a twist, Ares is of course up to something...

Taverns are a great place for Gabrielle to brush up on her bard skills. Going around, traveling with Xena for years means she never runs out of interesting stories to tell. Said stories do a lot to endear Xena to people. A little bit too much in some cases.

(Xena/Ares) He almost kills her in a fit of madness. And, unlocks a side of her that drives them both wild - and for once, gets to her as he never did as a god. But if he is to stay mortal, he won't settle for breadcrumbs. If all she can give him is several days of playing house — well, he's got a better offer. This is a story of what would happen if Xena took over the entire world. It also dives into a what if scenario where Gabrielle has a homophobic father.

After the Rheingold Trilogy, Xena and Gabrielle are making their way back to Greece and stop for a night in a barn. They have a quiet night in to themselves, loving and taking care of each other.

This is the tale of a time Xena and Gabrielle decided to dress as a newlywed couple in order to sneak past some warlords in a tavern so they could get some sleep. But it doesn't go exactly according to plan.

Summary: Ares tries his best to get an irritated Xena to come back to him only to have it backfire horribly. Warning: In this short I try to make sense of how Xena went from rushing to fight for the greater good to having intense suicidal thoughts. Enter Ares, the God of War who drives her to near insanity.

Part two summary: Ares backs off after turning our favorite warrior into the suicidal and vulnerable woman we see in the first episode of the series. Warnings: In my world Xena becomes absolutely in love with Gabrielle from the very first sight of her. I also think there is a very good reason why Gabrielle touches her lips when Xena is driven from her house by Gabrielle's father's

Around S2E15, Xena and Gabrielle are staying in a tavern overnight and they find their room only has one bed in it. The two are forced into the small space and have to navigate the joys and consequences of the brewing tension between them since their kiss in The Quest.

Gabrielle receives a scroll with Xena's last words to her, before saving the world from an undisclosed apocalypse. (simple one shot.)

This is the sequel to Last Chance in which I'd love to edit, but I refuse to at the moment. Last Chance was written several years ago and requires a lot of work. In this sequel, Xena & Gabrielle have found happiness living with the Amazons, but they soon find out their life is not without conflict.

An alternate timeline where Xena is still on warpath accross the lands. She's still angry, lost and on a path of destruction. Both for everyone around her as well as herself. That is until one fateful day that while she doesn't know it at the time, the seemingly meaningless events will become the spark of something that will completely change the course of her life.
