Chapter 2: Red One
The next day, I met up with Sarah, James, and Henri, as well as some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, and Max Greenwald at the Loews Waterfront Theater to see the new Red One movie. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. We jammed out to 98 Degrees and Lizzo prior to the movie and headed to the Gourleys' apartment for a bird-themed party with a Feather Flight game, an Eggs in a Nest lunch, bird watcher decorations, and a pail of paints and paste for a favor. We enjoyed the movie and headed to dinner at Red Robin. "Did that movie get you in the holiday spirit, Max?" Henri asked. "Of course it did, Henri," Max replied. "How is the Music Support Group Academy band coming along, Justin?" James asked. "Well, now that marching band season is over, we are getting ready for Christmas, James," Justin explained. "We have our parade on Black Friday and our Christmas concert on the Friday before Christmas, AND... we are going to perform with the Greater Pittsburgh Concert Band at Heinz Hall!" "We will definitely be there," James happily stated. "By the way, that medal looks really good on you, and it matches your shirt." "Can you believe that Benedict is not around anymore, Alex?" Sarah asked. "Benedict has been gone for 2 years now, Sarah," Alex replied. "Can't you get over it already?" "I am sorry, but when we got back together, I thought that we were going to be together forever," Sarah explained. "By the way, how is the Music Support Group Academy band coming along?" "We have our Christmas parade the day after Thanksgiving and we will be performing with the Greater Pittsburgh Concert Band at Heinz Hall the Friday before Christmas!" "Not only is it Thanksgiving weekend, but it is also my birthday weekend," Sarah stated. "By the way, that medal looks good on you, and it matches your shirt." "This is how I always dress for movie and dinner nights in the spring and fall," Alex explained. "There is also a JAM band elective for the best musicians in the band along with jazz band." "I would love to see you make more music on your flute because you are so talented," Sarah remarked. "Why thank you!" Alex remarked. "My favorite concert that I performed in was my last concert of high school, which was the spring concert my senior year." "Emily, Lauren, and India are so lucky to work with you," Sarah stated. Pretty soon, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
