Walking into his two-story house, Lucas looked for his beautiful wife. "Brooke?" he shouted while walking towards the living room. "Hey baby, what's up?"

"Hey, pretty girl, I was thinking of inviting everyone over for a barbecue since we're all free tonight?" Lucas suggested, sitting next to Brooke. "Sure! It's getting pretty boring around here we're getting boring ."

"Really, it's getting boring? Even if i do this? " Lucas smirked as he leaned towards Brooke's giggling lips, kissing her deeply .

Lucas spent the rest of the moring proving to brooke that they werent boring

Nathan frowned when he rolled over laying his arms on his right side and was met with cold sheets instead of a petite body frame. Reaching for his phone, he dialed the familiar digits.

" Haley? "

" Nathan "

" why arent you in bed next to me? " Nathan spoke into his phone while sitting up on his bed, Haley giggled into the phone as she walked out of Nathans bathroom drying her hair with a towel " Im right here sweetheart " Haley closed her phone and went to sit next to him on the bed .

" I thought you left me all alone without making breakfast " Nathan pouted " your sleeping with me for breakfast? " Haley gasped rolling her eyes at him

" I love you " Nathan quickly said kissing her cheek " say it again " haley giggled wrapping her arms around his neck " I. Love.you " Nathan between kisses as he kissed her lips " I love you too! " Haley said pushing nathan on his back .

In the middle of their little makeout session haleys phone rang " my phone " haley mumbled against Nathans lips " dont care " he replied while kissing her lips , rolling her eyes at him haley answered her phone while Nathan started to kiss her neck .

" hey hales "

" hi brookie whats up " Haley said biting her lips " i just wanted to tell you that luke and i are having a barbecue tonight we invited all of our friends "

" oh that sounds great ill tell nathan bye now! " Haley ended the call before brooke could say anything " what did she want? " Nathan asked against her neck " her and luke are having a barbecue " mumbling an mhm nathan turned around so he was on top of haley .

" something smells amazing " Nathan smirked as he stood behind his gorgous girlfriend " I know right! " Haley giggled when he kissed her cheek and whispered " its not just the mac and chesse that smells amazing hales " turning around in his arms, Nathan started to kiss her when Haley stopped him " as much as i love kissing you we're late and i dont need to explain to people especially your brother why we were late "

" we'll just come up with something to tell luke " Natha shurgged wrapping his arms around her waist " oh im sorry for being late luke i was doing dirty things to your big brother? Or sorry being late your brother needed his haley time? " Nathan laughed loud kissing her cheek " well he doesnt need to know about my haley time " Haley rolled her eyes giggling .

" look after the barbecue i promise you a lot of haley time okay? " Nathan noded as he carried the bag that contained mac and cheese in containers .

" why were we late? "

" i showered late then i came to pick you up since you had no ride "

" my babys smart " Haley kissed a smirking Nathan " Thank you "

"Come on, let's go!" Haley said as she walked towards the front door. Knocking on it, the door opened, revealing Peyton, who was smirking at them. "Hello, love birds," She whispered the last two words. "Hi, Peyton," Haley smiled at her friend. "Why were you late? And tell me the truth. I'm not Lucas." Peyton folded her arms, waiting for an answer, while Haley rolled her eyes. "We were busy."

" with what? " peyton smirked " i was having my haley time now excuse us peyton we have to say hi " Nathan smirked at peyton who highfived him and followed them towards the backyard .

After exchanging hugs and hellos the guys were standing at the grill while the girls were chatting, haley felt her phone vibrate signaling a text message.

Opeing her phone she smiled when she saw the text was from Nathan that read:

having fun?

Yeah but i miss you :(

me too, why did you have to wear this dress! All i want do is kiss you now!

giggling haley typed a sad emoji

me too, you look so good in your black jeans turn around so i can see your ass winky face

Haley James! Your best friend who is my brother is next to me and you wanna see my ass?

Haley typed please with a pleading face emoji, groaning nathan turned around till he heared haley giggling and typed:

happy now?

More than you know, i love you!

chuckling Nathan typed I love you too with two hearts-

" who are you texting? " Lucas eyed his brother suspiciously " uh no one? " Nathan replied nervously.

" hey luke come see this! " Jake said quickly when he saw how lucas looked at his older brother. Nathan mouthed a thank you to jake who noded his head smiling .

" foods ready! " skills annouced as everyone gathered on the table they set up on the backyard, Nathan quickly went and sat down next to haley who kissed his lips when lucas turned around, Nathan smirked and dropped his hand to her thigh .

" your mac and chesse is delicious haley! " Bevin said as everyone noded in agreement " here hales " Nathan said as he handed her a beer she smiled and thanked him, Nathan was about to kiss her when he remebered where he was .

After eating they were sitting outside laughing and playing games like old times when Nathan saw that his phone had a message he noticed haley was gone .

Meet me at the bathroom asap!

smirking, Nathan mumbled something about needing the bathroom. When he was about to open the bathroom door the door opened and haley pulled him inside " wha-" Nathan was cut off by haleys lips on him laughing he pulled away " what are you doing? " Nathan raised his eyebrows at haley " nothing i just missed you " Haley pouted and wrapped her arms around his waist .

" well i missed you too now come on lets go back " opeing the door Nathan and haley were met with lucas who was looking Confusedly at them

" l-luke "

" we can explain "

" just forget it " Lucas said madly as he walked back to the backyard " no lucas just hear us out " Haley said as she ran towards him " so what? You can lie to me again? " lucas folded his arms in front of his chest " we never meant to lie you man its complicated " Nathan said as he stood behind haley .

" of all the girls in the world you chose my best friend ! Shes not one of your toys Nathan! just leave, both of you I cant look at you guys right now! " Lucas screamed at the most important people in his life, haley noded and took Nathans hand .

The car ride back to Nathans place was quiet, taking haleys hand in his Nathan said " its going to be okay hales i Promise we'll talk to him soon when he's clam " haley noded as she wiped her tears .

" Im sorry i didnt tell you about them they just made me promise not to say anything " Brooke looked up at her husband who looked at her smiling he kissed her a soft kiss " I know cherry, its not your fault. I just need some time to think " Brooke noded as she snuggled closer to lucas " I love you " Brooke said kissing his cheek and laying her head on his chest " i love you too "
