Preface: After my character's initial debut in Sailor Moon Defenders, I tried finding out how I can expand the character's growth a bit more. It took a couple of years, but eventually, I ended up coming up with this story.

For Context: This story coincides with the Defenders of the Earth series. Inspired by Marzena's story "Defenders of the Earth: This is Their Story", I created these chapters which would be set during certain points of the series, and the Defenders will be making at least one appearance during the story, hence the crossover.

Mongo Showdown Part Two

Duncan held Richie in his arms, trying to comfort him the best he could, "Hang in there, Richie. Hang in there."

"Mac, you don't understand," Richie looked at his teacher as his eyes were starting to droop, "Zorelda's minion placed a curse on me."

"Spell?"

"The spell of never ending sleep."

Richie yawned again.

"Richie, hang in there," Duncan coaxed him again.

"I'm trying," Richie replied while nodding off and trying to talk to his teacher, "The spell's so…..powerful. Mac, before the spell takes me…...there's something I want…..to tell you. It's something…...important."

"What's that?" Duncan asked.

"I want you to know…...that I forgive you," Richie told him.

Duncan smiled, not really knowing what to say. Then he noticed Richie going limp in his arms.

"Richie?" Duncan called. No response.

He shook him, "Richie? Wake up!"

Again, there was no response.

He realized that Richie was now under the never ending sleep spell.

Duncan held Richie's head in his lap and was soothing him before he started to sing a Lakota lullaby. He could remember Little Deer singing this lullaby to Kahani at night. The Highlander could only hope Tori would prevail so that she could wake Richie up from this spell. Duncan then kissed the top of Richie's head while he was sleeping.

Amanda swung her sword and took out her opponents that were in her path. Flash, Rick, April, LJ, Kshin, Lothar, Barin and Tevrok used their weapons to take out their opponents in their paths. LJ and Lothar also used their strength to take down their opponents as well.

"I'm going to teach you ice pricks that it is not okay to take away my castle!" Krotan exclaimed before he used his telekinetic powers to use a giant stick to take out some of his opponents, "I still got it!"

"By jungle law, the ghost who walks calls forth the power of ten tigers!" the Phantom called out his powers before he used his ten tigers power to take down some of his opponents as well as shooting down other opponents in his path.

Castra used her empathy powers to take down her opponents while Aura knocked down her opponents and fired her gun at other opponents. Thun and his lion men attacked their opponents.

"Time to even out the odds," Mandrake stated before creating illusions to defeat his opponents.

Baylin and Zyna fought against the minions and the former helped the latter gain the upper hand against the minions they were fighting.

Jedda used her telepathy to summon some nearby flyers to take down her opponents, and even helped out Vultan and his hawkmen.

Vultan chuckled before he told her, "Thanks for the help, lassie!"

"Glad I could be of help," Jedda replied.

Katarina noticed one of the minions trying to give Tevrok a killing blow, "Gun!"

Suddenly, the gun vanished from the minion's hand, and then appeared in Katarina's hand.

"Katarina?" Castra quipped as the others looked at her in surprise.

"What?" Katarina replied, "Premonition isn't the only power I have."

Methos gasped, reviving from his latest death. He found himself on the ground and slowly sat up, and then noticed the robed being's dusty remains as well as his robe, "Looks like somebody had a bad day."

He stood up and hurried to meet up with the others, realizing there was nothing he could do for Richie at this point. Maybe he could help the others at the Mongo battlefield.

Tori looked on at Zorelda as they were at the mountain top.

"Are you ready for the duel?" Zorelda asked.

"As I'll ever be," Tori answered bravely, "After I win, I will rescue Richie from your imprisonment and your reign on Mongo will never happen."

"What if I win?" Zorelda asked.

Tori hated the possibility of that outcome happening, but found it upon herself to answer anyway, "Then I'll be dead."

"That's right," Zorelda nodded, "and I will regain the throne room of Mongo to rule forever and for all time. Not only that, your man will remain under my spell forever and he will never wake again."

"Spell?!" Tori exclaimed in shock.

"That's right," Zorelda explained, "I was going to make him another servant for me, but he chose to be stubborn, so that will be his punishment, a never ending sleep."

"I will stop you," Tori declared before she and Zorelda began their duel.

"What did I miss?" Methos asked as he met up with the others.

"We defeated all of our opponents," April answered, "and it was far too easy."

"And Tori?" Methos asked.

"She is dueling with Zorelda as we speak," Amanda answered.

As the duel progressed, Tori found herself surrounded by many copies of Zorelda, who was trying to confuse her. She looked around, trying to decide which was the real Zorelda.

Zorelda struck Tori with an energy blast, making her fall to the ground.

She looked up, "This is like dealing with Mandrake, only much worse."

"Giving up?" Zorelda asked, eyeing her opponent.

"Not a chance," Tori answered. They continued to duel some more as they were lower down in the mountain.

After awhile, Tori was being worn down, and it appeared as if Zorelda was gaining the upper hand.

Just as the witch tried to multiply herself again, she recognized a pattern with that trick.

"I can decide which witch is which," Tori stated before she knocked down the real Zorelda.

"But how?!" Zorelda exclaimed in shock.

"I've had years of training," Tori answered, "I happen to be a genius too."

She eventually gained the upper hand against Zorelda, she disarmed the witch and placed her on her knees. Tori then beheaded Zorelda before she declared, "There can be only one!"

Tori then proceeded to take the witch's quickening, which was a spectacular quickening.

Amanda, Methos, the Defenders and the Mongo allies looked on with anticipation.

"I wonder who won the battle," Aura stated.

"I was going to say," Methos chimed in, "Who is winning this battle."

"I hope it's Tori," April added.

The group witnessed the quickening from the distance. They had to duck as several lighting rays came towards them.

Duncan noticed the quickening from outside. He quickly covered Richie to keep him from getting hit from being hit by any debris.

Amanda, Methos, the Defenders and their allies looked on as the quickening ended, leaving a huge thing of fog in the process.

"Well?" Krotan spoke up.

"So, that's what a quickening is?" Castra asked.

"In a nutshell," Flash answered, "Your father had to fix his headquarters after MacLeod and Tori had a double quickening last year."

"Wow," Aura nodded.

The group looked on in worry as they saw the fog.

"Who won?" Baylin asked.

"Is Mongo doomed?" Katarina added.

Tori appeared moments later, emerging from the fog. Everyone exclaimed in relief as Tori dropped to her knees, exhausted.

"My God, Tori, you did it!" Amanda exclaimed happily.

"I'll be damned," Krotan added, "You defeated the witch Zorelda!"

"Unbelievable," Barin stated.

"Incredible," Tevrok added.

The heroes all congratulated Tori.

"I'm so proud of you, Tori," Flash helped up his niece.

Tori looked up as she was finally back on her feet, "I need to get to Richie."

"We shall take you to the room, Hero," Amanda replied.

"And I will lead the way," Methos added.

"Well, don't die this time around," Amanda replied.

Methos gave her a disapproving look before leading the heroes to the castle where Richie was being held.
