Chapter One

Carol Danvers, Miss Marvel, friend of both Captain Marvels, Mar-Vell and Monica Rambeau, has found herself a new sidekick of her own, in the form of a young girl, Kamala Khan. Soon after the Terrigen bombings that ignited one by one and spread its mist across the globe, unlocking and activating the special Inhuman gene within each, any, and all descendants that end up exposed to it. As fate may have it so, the Khan family would turn out to be one of those carrying the birthright, even if none of them knew of it, since the young Kamala found herself enveloped in the path of the Terrigen Cloud one night and wrapped in a chrysalis. Once released, she had gained polymorphic powers, able to shrink or enlarge any part of her body with the simple command of "Embiggen". Learning of this, Carol takes Kamala under her wing and trains her to use her abilities for good, justice, and responsibility, as Kamala christens herself as 'Miss Fantastic'.

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States

In the luscious green of the Liberty State Park, far beneath the mostly clear skies above the city, another fight had already been underway. Two superheroines; a fair-skinned adult woman of long bright blonde hair and stern blue eyes, donned in a domino mask, evening gloves, and thigh-length boots, and polo-neck leotard of matching smooth black with a simple thin yellow lightning bolt running down her torso, along with a red sash tied around her pelvis that ended with a long flowing ribbon from her right hip; and a young dark-skinned teenage girl with eyes and long hair of brown, wearing a domino mask, calf-high boots, and a T-shirt of matching blue with that same bolt symbol, along with bangles of gold around her forearms and a scarf, sleeves, and leggings of matching red.

Opposing the two was a lone pale-skinned androgynous individual with short hair of black with ends dyed in electric blue, donned in a white full catsuit with gloves of blue and and boots of cyan. This strange and unfamiliar figure posed firmly with feet spread apart and fists clenched tightly while their gold eyes gave off a piercing glare.

"Someone remind me who this is supposed to be again?" the young brunette asked, even briefly scratching her own head.

"Call me Power-Person", the new foe introduced themselves.

"Wow, very unique and intimidating name there", the blonde dryly commented. "Did you just pick two random words that were close together enough on a dictionary for just the sake of alliteration?"

"Shut up!" Power-Person scowled and shouted.

"Okay then, this person means business", the brunette tutted.

"Born ready, Miss Fantastic?" The blonde asked the brunette

"I was ready before I was born, Miss Marvel", the brunette nodded and grinned. "If that makes any sense to ya".

"Then let's roll!" Miss Marvel said right before she then took flight.

"Embiggen!" Miss Fantastic shouted with excitement in her tone. Such a simple word was actually a command of sorts as both her fists inflated in size until they each were almost just as big as her whole body.

Both superheroines went forth and charged, with Miss Marvel soaring straight through the air and Miss Fantastic running just below her to the side with both arms extended and both fists ready to strike. While Power-Person held their ground, their left fist forming a clubbed shell around it made of purely concentrated ice, while their right fist bursted into a hot blue flame. They then threw a ball of fire at Miss Marvel, forcing her to evade to the side and pass by, then they dodged one of Miss Fantastic's embiggened fists, then the other. Power-Person then finally slammed down on the teenage heroine herself with their own large fist of ice, breaking right on her head. Feeling that hit to the back of her head, Miss Fantastic yelled from the throbbing pain as she collapsed forth to the ground with a thud. Her hands gradually shrinking down and her outstretched rubbery arms soon retracting back into normal.

Gasping at this sight from above, Miss Marvel glowered before swooping down to deliver retribution upon the new supervillain. Power-Person unleashed a long stream of blue fire at the marvellous heroine, who stopped mid-fight to block with both arms, absorbing the flames and the full force itself unto herself. As Miss Marvel carried the hot blue flames in her arms as if it were nearly nothing, Power-Person looked on with scowling confusion, wondering how anyone could not only manage to deflect their fire, but also even house it in.

Meanwhile, as soon as the pain started to fade, Miss Fantastic tutted and groaned as she struggled to get back onto her feet again, rubbing the faint bruise in the back of her head, then looking to see Power-Person's attention being fully taken by Miss Marvel. So as the pain faded, Miss Fantastic decided to take this opportunity for a sneakier attack from behind. Seeing her companion recovering and seemingly approaching the foe from behind Miss Marvel smiled with confidence before throwing the blue fires right back at Power-Person, who was figuratively and literally taken back by surprise.

As Power-Person staggered back from the deflected fire, Miss Fantastic began to re-extend her arms until they were at least twice as long as her body, if not longer, and launched them forth at the distracted foe, wrapping around them from the boots upward. Looking down and realising this, Power-Person attempted to form another clubbed gauntlet of ice with their left hand to punch at the stretching encircled arms reaching up to their torso, but to barely any avail. While Miss Marvel swooped down once more to deliver a right kick to the face, knocking the villain off their feet and to the ground.

Landing against the ground with just as much a hard thud as they made Miss Fantastic endure, the once-powerful Power-Person laid out on the pavement with their face cringing, mouth groaning, and teeth grinding. Once then, Miss Fantastic unwrapped her arms from the supervillain and retracted them back into normal proportions. Miss Marvel landed on her feet right in front of the barely conscious foe and picked them up over one shoulder.

"Good job, rookie", Miss Marvel complimented Miss Fantastic, patting on her shoulder. "I'm surprised how you managed to get back up, even when you took block of ice to the head".

"I guess I needed to cool off anyway", Miss Fantastic responded with an obvious pun and a cheeky look in her face. "Besides, I do try to learn from the best anyway".

"Glad you try at least", Miss Marvel chuckled and nodded before doing a fist-bump with her sidekick. "I'll take good care of the rest from here on today. I better deliver this lot to containment, and see what S.H.I.E.L.D. would do with them".

"You do that, I better be heading off soon as well anyway", Miss Fantastic said before she then dashed off. "My family and I will be going on a flight tomorrow".

"Where to?" Miss Marvel questioned.

"Chicago", Miss Fantastic revealed. "To see my cousin. See you soon!"
