One day, when they were walking home, some dude said some things to Kensi that sounded weird to Deeks.

'That dude was totally flirting with you!' Deeks insisted.

'You jealous? Cause you definitely sound like it.' Kensi replied.

'What? No, I'm not jealous, I just want to know why some stranger said some cute things to you in a way that sounded like flirting.'

'Sounds like jealously to me.'

'I'm not jealous! I don't get jealous! I'm the least jealous person there is!' Deeks insisted.

Kensi snickered. 'You're really not helping yourself there.'

At work the next day, Deeks pleaded his case to his workers to try and see if they understand, but they weren't much help.

'No offense, bub. But random people just saying stuff to you on the street is not that uncommon. It mainly depends on what you like in my opinion. I mean, I'm sure you've had your fair share of random women just saying hi to you in a cute way.' Sam said.

'True. There was that 1 time when we were out on a workout and those ladies just said hi to me and Kensi pushed me off my bike… Oh jeez, she's right, isn't she?' Deeks asked.

'Probably so. Men saying hi to hot looking women they don't know has been happening to years. I've done my fair share of that over the years.' Callen replied.

'Did any of those women actually date you?' Sam asked.

'None of your business.'

Later on.

'I'm sorry. I got jealous, and I'm sorry. Saying hi to people is a perfectly normal thing to do.' Deeks confessed.

'You're forgiven. Just remember you're with a hot woman who can handle herself and has heard every pick-up play in the book' Kensi replied.

'Okay. Hey, what pick-up playbook?'
