I have a few favorite Densi headcanons, and this 1 felt the easiest to write because of how sweet it is. :) And yes, it's post Series Finale.
While recovering from what happened in Syria and Morocco, Hetty was very happy to see her 2 happily married agents, and Rosa, and even more surprised when she found out they were having a baby!
'I'm so happy for the both of you. You both deserve it so much.' She said.
'There's something else. We'd like to know if, you'd like to be the baby's aunt. You've been through so much these past 2 years, and we don't exactly have a lot of family members to begin with, well. You get what we're asking, right?' Deeks asked.
Surprised. 'I get what you're asking, Martin. Are you both sure you're okay with it? It's been a really long time since I've looked after a baby.'
'We're both confident you'll do well. That, and we've also asked Callen to babysit when he can as well so he can have good experience when he eventually has kids of his own. We figure you can both help each other out.' Kensi replied.
'This, is an amazing honor. I'm happy to accept.'
Their decision worked out perfectly. Hetty and Callen working to take care of the baby not only helped them have good parenting experiences, but also helped them rebound from the rift they had been in for the last 2 years.
And in return, Kensi and Deeks were able to keep going on date nights when they just needed to get away. And as expected, it took them a couple of tries before they stopped being completely obsessed with checking their nanny cams during the dates just to make sure there was no mischief afoot.
'It's not really Hetty and Callen messing up that I'm worried about, it's my mom potentially interfering more then she should, like maybe bringing guys over and kissing in front of the cams!' Deeks confessed.
Kensi chuckled. 'You are such a baby sometimes, you know.'
'Try picturing your mom kissing some random dude up close in front a camera and seeing it.'
Frowning. 'Oh. Yeah, I can see what you mean by that. Well, let's just hope that doesn't happen.'
It happened a week later, and it almost caused Deeks to throw up his food when he saw it.
'We, definitely need more babysitters. Got any friends who aren't too busy and have good experience with babies?' Deeks asked.
