This is the origin story of my longest played D&D character, a Half-Drow Bard named Elsie-Esperanza Baenre It opens with her as a street urchin in Waterdeep, having to steal for an abusive Thief's Guild, and how she was rescued from that situation by a chance encounter and set on the path of the Bard.
