The next day, at school, Mrs. Simon said, "How did you made out yesterday?"
"So-so," I said. "I found it hard to use this hand. It got sore after using it for periods of time to type, so I had to called it quits."
"That's okay," said Mrs. Simon.
At lunch, Kristy said, "The girls and I are coming over to do the wallpaper after school. We're letting you rest your hand."
"Sounds good. Dad is probably done with dusting. He offered to do that," I said.
"I'll be coming after practice to bring the things up," said Logan.
"We should be almost done by then," said Dawn.
At home, the girls went to start doing the wallpaper. My hand was sore. I went to take Aleve. I noticed I was starting to get low on that, but would I have enough if I need it tonight. I went to go tell Dad.
"Okay. I can go that real quick," said Dad.
"Want me to stay in case Sleepy's calls?" I asked.
"That would be fine," said Dad.
Then, the phone rang as I went to go answer.
"Hello," I said.
"Hello. This is Sleepy's. We just want to let you know that we're coming with the beds shortly," said the clerk.
"Okay, great, see you soon," I said.
I went to go let Dad know.
"You can let them in know if they get here before me," said Dad.
"Okay," I said. "I'll go check on the decorating crew."
I went downstairs after Dad left to do an errand.
"How are the decorating crew making out with the wallpaper?" I asked.
"Good," said Kristy.
"It didn't take long. We already put up the curtains as we went along," said Claudia.
"That's a good. Dad left to do an errand. I'm starting to get low on Aleve," I said. "And, Sleepy's just called. The delivery truck is on their way to deliver those beds, so he said to let them in if they get here before him."
"Logan's coming after practice to bring up the nightstand and the drawer," said Dawn.
"If he gets here, we'd be halfway done, so it won't be too bad," I said.
30 minutes later, the doorbell rang.
"It might be Sleepy's," said Claudia.
I went to go downstairs and I was able to open the door as the guys did all the beds. At least I got something to do.
"You can also bring the beds up in the attic," I said.
"Okay," said the clerk.
They did the beds for the other rooms first before they brought it up to the attic. Dad came home at the same time.
"Sleepy's had just got here," I said.
"Oh, good," said Dad.
"I'll just go bring Aleve's and put the other two in this bottle," I said as I went to go do that.
Logan showed up about 10 minutes after they left.
"Tell Logan we'll be done in a few minutes," said Stacey.
I came down and said, "Stacey said they'll be done in a bit."
"No problem," said Logan.
He didn't had to wait too long. Then, Dad was ready for him to bring the nightstand and the drawer up. By the time we were completed, it was almost time to leave for Claudia's for our club meeting. I was planning to leave, too, but my hand was starting to bother me. It was weird because I didn't do much except holding the doors. At least I was able to do that in time.
"Are you feeling okay?" asked Claudia.
"My hand is bothering me tonight," I said.
"Do you want some ice?" asked Dad.
"Sure," I said.
I went to sit on the couch after I took Aleve while he did that and put it on my hand.
"Will you be okay to come to the club meeting with us?" asked Kristy.
"I don't think I will," I said. "My doctor wants me to skip any club meetings if I feel any pain."
"I can take over for the rest of the week in case your hand gets sore," said Dawn.
"Sounds good," I said.
"We'll see you later," said Dawn.
"I'll have pizza here for you girls when you get back. You all deserve for working hard today," said Dad.
"Okay, great," said Kristy as they left.
"I admit you did worked hard too," said Dad.
"I know," I said. "I'm glad I was able to get things done. That's all I care about."
"That's true," said Dad.
"But I don't get why it was sore. I barely did anything except to hold the doors," I said.
After they returned after 6:00 pm, we had a small pizza party. My hand was less sore by then.
