The following day, at school, I realized I forgot there was a test going on. Luckily, in class, we were allowed to study for a bit until it was time. Only, I was spacing out. This never happened to me. Mrs. Mason noticed something was wrong. I couldn't focus on a test.

Later, on my way to lunch, I could hear my name going to the principal's office. I went there. This is starting to make me feel nervous.

"We would like to talk to you," said the principal.

"Is there something I did?" I asked.

"No, but I can tell something is bugging you," said Mrs. Mason.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

She gave me the test graded a F.

"I noticed you were spacing out," said Mrs. Mason. "Kayla came to me and she was also worried about you."

I was a bit embarrassed because she's one of my favorite teachers. And, I knew I was lucky I had a good friend who watched out for me.

"Whatever it is, you can talk to me," said the teacher.

That was when I opened up and told her everything. "Then, I realized that I totally forgot there was a test."

"No worries," said Mrs. Mason.

"I wish I would've known that the guys were bad news," I said.

"It's okay to be angry at yourself to let things happen," said Mr. Gomez.

"I don't know how to bring it up to April," I said.

"She's lucky to have a friend like you," said Mrs. Mason.

"I never dealt with anyone like that," I said.

She gave me great advice on how to talk to April. We also talked about to redoing the test.

"I'll let you do it for homework," said Mrs. Mason as she gave her a new blank test paper.

"Okay, I can do that," I said.

At lunch, I got nervous about going to April. I was too shy to see her right away. I went to go talk to Kayla.

"I'm a bit nervous about how to handle this," I said.

"We can go with you," said Kayla.

"What if she doesn't believe us?" I asked.

"Kayla and I are the witnesses here. We have been seeing Andy going to April trying to get her on drugs," said Kaylee.

"Wait, she knew about this?" I asked.

"Yes," said Kayla.

"But you were right to say no to drugs," said Kaylee.

That was when April came to us. "What are we talking about here?"

We knew this would be a good time to speak up.

"April, I think that we need to talk," I said.

"About what?" asked April.

"Did you knew Andy is on drugs?" I asked.

"I had no idea," said April.

"We don't believe it," said Kayla.

"I'm not lying," said April.

"Oh, yes, you are. How do we know this because Kayla and I witnessed that we've been seeing him going to you trying to get attached doing drugs," said Kaylee.

"How I knew this is that he have been trying to get me to start doing it, but I said no way," I added. "Rick and Jack started doing that to me, too."

"Wow," said April.

"Dad knows about these things and he's glad I didn't go for it," I said.

"We're just telling you these things because we all care about you," said Kayla.

"I get that, but I'm the one who is in the relationship," said April.

"So you're saying you don't care?" I asked. "Forget for what I said."

"That's not what I was...," started April.

"Drugs can ruin friendships," said Kayla.

"Forget it. April won't listen to us," said Kaylee.

After school, we were walking home.

"I can't believe April was trying to lie about it," said Kaylee.

"Me, either," I said.

"I knew the guys were trouble from day one," said Kayla.

"At least you were smart to tell me what was going on," I said.

"And, you didn't ignore us," said Kayla.

"I just hope April will see that, too," said Kaylee.

"I wish I should've known better," I said.

"Don't blame yourself, you just didn't know," said Kayla.

"I had a hard time focusing on my test and I learned I failed. Mrs. Mason knew what was bothering me. She was concerned. She said I was right to be worried about April," I said.

"She's great for that," said Kaylee.

"I knew something was bothering you in class, too," said Kayla.

"I noticed how lucky to have a good friend," I said.

"Of course. At least you see that more than her," said Kayla.

"I'm not looking forward to join the guys for dinner tonight," I said.

"We'd come, but we have to watch our siblings. Mom is working late," said Kaylee. "We don't have anyone until after 4 pm, so we have time to hang out."

"But you can tell us about it," added Kayla.

"If it was up to me, I'd rather stay here instead being with them," I said.

"We wouldn't blame you for that," said Kaylee.

I was dreading to go without the girls.

"How could I be so stupid for not knowing that until now?" I asked.

"You're not stupid, things happen," said Kayla.

Later, I was redoing the test. Somehow, I was able to focus on that instead of worrying about things. The phone bill is due in a few days, but Dad would let me spend some money first. There is always enough time to do it.

That night, I went to the diner. As soon as I got there, I could smell weeds on their clothes. After dinner, Andy said, "Do you need a ride home?"

"No, I'm all set," I said. "Dad's going to pick me up."

"Yeah, right," said Jack.

At that moment, I went to the bathroom to call him saying I was ready to get picked up. There was no way I'd put myself in danger in their car and I bet their car would smell like smoke. When I came out, I noticed my purse was missing. I couldn't find it and I noticed they left without me.

"The guys just took everything," said the waitress.

"How did they expect me to pay for my meal?" I asked. "I don't remember dropping it. I didn't leave anything with them. I thought I had it with me."

"The police have been notified and they will be caught," said the waitress. "You can stay in here until your father comes."

That was when I saw him and went out there.

"I could smell weeds on their clothes," I said. "I didn't want to tell you that on the phone in case they were nearby."

"I'm glad you called me," said Dad.

"They almost didn't believe me when I told them you were picking me up," I said.

"It's okay to say a white lie. You did it for a good reason," said Dad.

"My teacher was concerned about me. She did noticed I spaced out and I failed a test because of them," I said.

"I believe it," said Dad.

At home, I said, "I'm going to take a shower so I can get out of these clothes and going to call the girls."

When I went to go upstairs, I felt better after taking a shower and putting my nightgown on. After that was done, I asked Sharon on what she wants me to do with them.

"We can just put them in a plastic bag," said Sharon.

"Okay, good idea. I never had this problem before," I said.

"It's good to ask questions," said Sharon.

I looked at the clock and wasn't sure if their mom is home yet or not, so I called the girls. I texted them to make sure it was a good time to talk. That was when my cell phone rang and I answered.

"I didn't want to call in case you were still watching the kids, that's why I texted you first," I said.

"You're fine. Mom had just gotten home," said Kayla.

"Okay, good," I said.

"How did it go tonight?" I could hear Kaylee in the background.

"Let me put you on speaker," said Kayla as she did.

"That's why I was calling you girls. The guys tried to offer me a ride home, but I said no," I said. "I could smell weeds on them, so I called home for Dad to pick me up."

"You made the right move," said Kayla.

"And, what part of no don't they get? You made it clear to them," said Kaylee.

"I have a problem," I said. "My purse got stolen by them."

"You're kidding," said Kaylee.

"No. The waitress was the witness and called the police," I said.

"Good," said Kayla.

"We almost forgot to mention that he asked us to join his group, but we said absolutely not. We didn't trust them enough for me to be part of it. We prefer being with you," said Kaylee.

"The way I look at it, I don't know what I'm going to do," I said.

"It reminded you two of the people you had lost their trust," said Kayla.

I knew what the girls were talking about. I almost got rid of Tobey recently because he didn't want Kayla and Kaylee to know he had a crush on them. I didn't feel comfortable. He was Stacey's former boyfriend. I told them anyway. They said I did the right thing because they wouldn't be doing that to their best friend. When Tobey found out, he got mad at me. I didn't care though. I told him I do not hide things from my friends. I tell them everything. They just wanted to be friends with him. Dad came close to forbid Tobey from staying contact with me. It took him a long time to apologize to me. I trusted him. It took awhile for him to regain that trust.

Another thing was Jenny: One of Happy Days characters. She tried to steal Logan from me when my friends and I went to see them for the Willis' girls' birthday. I got so mad that I didn't want to be around her when we visited them over the summer. She betrayed my trust and I never trusted her again. I dropped that friendship with a little from Dad. She tried to win me back, but I refused to budge. She bothered me so much with that he ended up telling Ralph to forbid Jenny from staying in touch with me.

After we finished talking, I took a picture of it and sent it to Kayla's phone. I do know for sure I am reporting this to the principal first thing in the morning. I needed to do something about these guys.

Kayla texted me and replied she thought it was awful on what the guys did to my wallet especially to steal my money. Kaylee encouraged me to tell my father. I replied that I will.

But after that, I knew that I needed to focus on April first. I worry about her safety. Andy trying to get April attached to drugs is not a good thing to do. My heart is telling me to call her mom, but at the same time, I'd worry to make things worse. On the other hand, imagine if her mom didn't know about this? She'd have a fit. I'll talk to Dad about that part before telling him about what they did to me or asking him on what to do about the idiots. I do know I'd tell myself he'd understand helping a friend is important. I also put my phone away for the night to keep my mind on April.

I went over to Dad. "I'm just glad to be home and to be out of those clothes that were smelled like weeds."

"I bet," said Dad.

"The girls were glad I called home," I said. "They said I shouldn't have to tell the guys no."

"You do make good choices," said Dad.

"I tried to talk to April about Andy while my teacher and I were talking about it," I said.

"I was just about to ask you on how that went," said Dad.

"It did not go well. She claims she didn't even know about it, but Kayla and Kaylee knew that she was lying because they both saw Andy trying to get April addicted with drugs," I said. "She didn't seem to care on what we told her. She said she's the one who's in the relationship with him."

"She said that to you?" asked Dad.

"Yes," I said.

"If she did knew about it, she should've done about it instead of ignoring you," said Dad.

"I know," I said.

"Was she trying to cover for Andy?" asked Dad.

I knew what he was saying. "I didn't think of that part. I'm debating to call her mom."

"I bet her mom would be glad you called her to tell her what was going on," said Dad.

Leave that to Dad. He is always good at fixing problems.

"Part of me miss that friendship," I said.

"That's normal," said Dad.

"But I'm not sure how I can keep up with that," I said. "I remember how happy to here to spend time with her and I recall how glad she was about me moving here. Now, I find she's not the same person I used to know. All because of Andy. I do want things back the way we were."
