-Zedekiah's POV-
It's only been a couple hours yet it feels like years since they left to meet Quillam and Filía... I know I wouldn't be much help but it's killing me not knowing what's going on.
"Is that for her?" I turned around and saw Alethea standing behind me, "It is, isn't it? You plan to marry her don't you?" She said almost happy for me.
I put the ring back inside my pocket, "What are you doing here?"
"She's remembers Zedekiah, and she wants you to know that. She doesn't remember everything but enough to know who she is and where she belongs."
"Why should I believe you?"
"I warned you about Quillam and Filía coming."
"You went to you brother. How do I know the two of aren't working together?"
"She wanted me to get you this," She said laying a letter on the arm of the chair, "Maybe you'll believe her." She said then disappearing.
I opened the letter:
Zedekiah,
If Alethea said that I partially remember who I am and where I truly belong, believe her because it is true. I don't have all memory but enough to know what I have to do. Be patient with me, please. I don't know when we'll see each other but I promise you we will, and hopefully it'll be soon.
Love,
Filía
-Filía's POV-
"Glinda, I wasn't aware that you decided to join the fight." Quillam said as we approach Mom and Glinda, "Not to worry, you'll just be an added bonus." He smiled with delight, "So, shall do this the easy way or the hard way?"
"You know we won't go down without a fight." Mom answered.
"The hard way then."
"Wait... Someone else is here." I said feeling the presents of a wizard and witch.
"There's no one here but us." Mom said.
"Filía, what do you feel?" Quillam asked.
"Arron... Alethea's brother."
"Go and fetch him. Take him to his sister."
"But-"
"Do as you're told child!" He spat.
"You said we would do this together. You said we were a team." I said faking my tears, "You said it'll all stop if I killed her."
"Do as you're told. Go and fetch Arron."
"I want this to stop, I want this witch out of my head!"
"And I will take care of that Filía."
"Filía don't listen to him. Killing us will only make it worse." Mom said.
"Listen and listen well Witch! I mean what I say, you will be stopped." I said walking towards where Arron was hiding, hoping she got the message.
"Arron, where are you? I'm not here to hurt you, I need your help."
"We're here child."
"Yackle, do you want to seal our fate?"
I looked up the tree, "Arron, grandmother, what are you doing?"
"Suppose to be restoring your memory." Arron said.
"Get her home, quickly and then come back here. I need your help and Alethea can only do so much." I said climbing up the tree.
"Filía... You must go and see him." Grandmother said taking hold of my hand weakly.
"I will, but I can't do it now. I'm close to taking him down. I can't let my feelings for him get in the way."
"He misses you. He's practically falling apart without you."
"It won't be long until this is over. Arron's going to take you home, keep an eye on Zedekiah for me?"
She gave a weak grin and nodded her head.
I handed Arron directions to where to go, " Be quick."
-Few Hours Later-
"He came without a fight?" Quillam asked not sure if he should believe me.
"Yes, he did." I said.
"And you don't wonder why?"
"I would if I had to chase him."
"You've changed. What happened to you?" He said changing the subject.
"Nothing has happened."
"You started to care earlier today. You started to care about us, why?"
"I enjoyed us working together. Can you blame me?"
"I don't believe you."
"Quillam-" My throat started to close up.
"You remember, how do you remember?"
My throat opened up for me to speak, "How did you know?"
"A certain red-head can only keep a secret for so long. That is until she forgot what I was capable of." He said with a grin.
"No..."
"I don't have your lover, nor did I shape as him." He said tossing me a ring she had always worn, "Her blood is on your hands."
"You won't get away with this."
"Oh but I will. I will become to new Wizard and I need your help to do so. You'll make a lovely sacrifice."
-Zedekiah's POV-
"Where's Arron?" Glinda asked bargaining in the library, "Mother Yackle is here so where is Arron?"
"I haven't seen Arron," I said standing from the chair putting the letter in my pocket, "I didn't even know Mama Yackle was back. Is Elphaba with you?"
"Quillam took her..."
"Glinda, there's something you need to know."
"What is it?"
"Filía remembers and she has a plan."
"What is it?"
"I don't know, but being the girl she is I know she has one."
"I'm afraid that it's a dangerous one." Arron said leaning against the doorway, blood dripping from his body, "Filía is to be sacrificed in order for him to be the new Wizard. He invites you to watch the savior of Oz die in three days. And Elphaba..." He said then passing out on the floor.
Glinda rushed to his aid, trying to heal some of the wounds.
"He's out cold."
"We need to get Filía and find Elphaba."
"I'm just one witch Zedkiah. I can't do it alone."
"I'll help you."
"You'll be killed."
"Arron is not an option right now. Even if he is healed, do you really think he'll be capable to help?"
"You better have a letter for her if something happens to you." She said.
I didn't lie, it is a game changer but for who?
