-Zedekiah's POV-
"Are you out of your mind?" She was upset, "Of all times you could have asked, you choose NOW!?" Correction, she's pissed. "I almost met my grave today, I barely remember who I really am, and you have the audacity to be asking now?" Her hand let out a spark. "You're lucky I don't kill you for this." She said walking to her grandmother's room, closing the door behind her.
"Okay, I'm glad she didn't give you an answer… But that's not Filía." Arron said climbing up the rest of the stairs, "You did make a fool of yourself though, I mean, seriously?"
I stood up and glared at him, "You're right," He gave a slight grin, "That's not Filía." And there his grin went, "I'll wait and see what she's like when she restores her memory."
"I'll wait-"
"You can go find Elphaba."
"I'm here." She said coming down a flight of stairs with a book in her hand.
"Where have you been? We could have used your help." I said.
"And risk people knowing that I'm still alive?"
"From what I understand, when you saved your daughter from a mob chase two years ago, they already know you're alive." I stated.
"They saw a figure, Zedekiah, never my face."
"Again, where have you been?" I repeated, "Your help would have been useful."
"While you were off saving my daughter, I was here, finding a way to stop Quillam. I'll tell you if you're willing to listen."
Before Elphaba could tell me anything Filía flung the doors open, her head hung as tear drops feel. Something was clearly wrong.
"She's dead... Why do people around me keep dying?" She asked as she flew down the stairs and stormed out the door. I, of course, followed her. "Why does this have to happen to me? Why am I not aloud to be happy!?" She yelled at the sky as a bolt of light struck beside her.
-Filía's POV-
Tears ran along side my face. My mind was racing in confusion and... Comprehending what had just happened. Anger... Pain... Loneliness... Never know the life I had... Ever... The storm grew stronger.
"Filía!" I heard a faint voice, "Filía let's go! Let's get out of this storm!" I felt a grip on my arm, it a was Zedekiah, "We'll find another way but right now we need to get inside."
All I could think about was what it had felt like, getting struck by lightning but never did I ever think that it would happened the exact moment I thought about it... It struck us both, and we collapsed to the ground, possible taking our last breathe...
-Arron's POV-
"That's... Interesting." I said once the stormed stopped. I stepped outside to see if Filía was alright, but once I saw her lying on the ground along side Zedekiah, I knew that they were fighting for their life. I got to Zedekiah first, knowing that's what Filía would want me to do. I said my magic words, healed Zedekiah, and not a moment later he awoke and hurried to Filía's side. I tried healing her too, but... Something was keeping me from doing so...
I picked her up and ran back to the castle and found Elphaba, thinking maybe (hopefully) I was just weak from healing Zedekiah that I just couldn't help Filía... But I wasn't. Elphaba believes that she had put herself inside her mind in order to find her old self or the lighting struck her well enough that she's been put into a coma. Honestly, she is in a coma but not just any coma; she's searching for her old self right now and to make sure that she isn't disturbed, she put herself in a this state. And there's no guarantee that when she wakes up- if she wakes up- that she will ever be the same again.
-Zedekiah's POV-
Struck by lightning... Why did it have to be lightning? Actually, why is it always a thunderstorm when Filía gets mad? Or upset even? What is going on... Why do I feel like I'm being punished? Ever thing I do just turns sideways, what did I do to deserve this? I just wanted to spend my life with the one person that I love, why can't I just do that?
"You okay?" A strange yet familiar voice asked, "She'll be okay Zedekiah. She's just confused."
I looked up to seeing Nessarose siting in a chair next to me.
"Aren't you supposed to be dead?"
She giggled, "You're dreaming silly."
Do that mean I'll wake up to the life I want? I asked myself.
"Confused how?" I asked.
"She doesn't know who she was, she doesn't remember how much she loved you, how she felt about you and it's just about driving her mad. Nothing seems to be going her way, all she sees is her loved ones dying or getting hurt." She placed her hand on mine. "Take care of her Zedekiah, no matter what happens."
I stared at her for a few moments, "What happened to you?"
"I returned a favor. I did what she would have done for me. I saved her life." She looked down at my hands, "Don't forget about me, make sure Filía doesn't forget about me. We may have had our... Faults, but we're still family."
"I won't forget about you Nessarose and I'll make sure that your sister won't either. I promise." I said tightening my grip on her hand.
"Wake up." Arron said shaking me.
"What do you want?" I asked straightening myself up in the chair.
"It's my turn to watch, go get some rest."
I looked over at Filía, she hasn't moved at all. Why did you do this to yourself? I thought to myself.
"I'm fine."
"You're falling asleep."
"I'm fine." I said again.
"You need sleep. I'll watch her for a few hours and then you can come back." Arron said.
He was right. I do need some sleep. So, I stood up and walked toward the door.
"N-no... A-Arron... Don't... Leave..." Filía mumbled.
"I guess she really does love me." Arron commented.
I turned around and socked him in the jaw. If it wasn't for that comes he said it shouldn't have bothered me. Needless to say, I didn't leave the room.
Oooo what's going to happen? Review, let me know your thoughts so far!
