Finally, another chapter for you all. That's all i have to say, so enjoy!

The gunman level his gun down toward Goliath who was still pinned to the other ones.

"Once you're out of the way," the leader stated. "We'll hunt down the rest of those freaks."

"No…" Goliath protested weakly, struggling with the effects of the dart. "I won't…let you…"

"What makes you think you have a choice?"

His answered was heard when Elisa stomped down on her captive, allowing his to release her in shock. She balled her hands together and elbowed him in the stomach then bringing both elbows down to his back. With him out of the way, she ran toward the leader, tackling him like a football player. Both went flying with the leaders gun bouncing across the ground and disappearing in the bushes.

"Goliath!" Elisa called out.

Goliath continued his efforts to escape. He kicked the gunwoman away, getting on his feet including throwing the other gunmen away. Elisa ran up to Goliath to see if he was alright but was short lived when the gunwoman fired her gun at them. The gargoyle picked up Elisa but groaned still in the effects of the dart. He didn't stop as he ran in the park road with the gunwoman following.

Goliath didn't look back as the merc kept firing. He locked onto a small hill to his right and ran toward it. Using it as a runway, the gargoyle jumped off it, spreading his wings and took off. The merc kept firing, even with Elisa and Goliath disappeared.

"Cease firing!" the leader gunman ordered grabbing her gun. "They won't get far."

The young gargoyles continued their little adventure of the city. As they glided, the aqua one took notice of a pretzel vendor down below. When he landed to the vendor, he scared the poor man, and took all the pretzels since the man looked like he wouldn't be coming back.

As they were gliding, the aqua one ate almost all of them in an instant without asking his rookery siblings if they wanted any. He found himself being glared at by the red one.

"These are great, you should try some." The aqua one beamed pointing at the large bread.

"We would have," the red one as he looked forward. "If you hadn't eaten the entire cart full."

The aqua one gulped the rest of his pretzel as the female turned to him on his other side. "I still don't know where you put it all."

The aqua laughed as he turned to her. "What can I say, I love food."

"You do, I can give you that much." She remarked as she, the aqua one, and red one landed on top of nearby rooftop.

They looked back to see the green one coming at a fast rate and looked out of control. They moved out of the way, and the green one crash landed hitting the wall upside down. He grunted as he slid down to his side.

He sighed as he looked up at the others who were circling him. "This is a big city; my wings are tired."

"Mine too," the red one agreed massaging his left shoulder and flexing his wings a little. "And it's a long way back to the castle." He then looked down at the city with the female looking with him.

"Yo taxi!" down below, a man hailed out and a taxicab pulled up beside him. He opened the door, got in, and the cab drove off.

The red gargoyle narrowed his eyes as a plan formed in his head.

Soon, he and the others were inside the building entrance. The red one looked out for the familiar yellow cab.

"I still think we should stay on the rooftops to rest our wings." The female spoke as she crossed her arms.

"Will you relax," the red one turned to her then looked back out. "Here it comes."

The others looked out behind him as another taxi came driving down the road. The red one stepped out of the building and pulled his hand out in the air.

"Yo taxi!" he shouted mimicking like the man.

Instead of the car stopping, it screeched to a halt and made a complete U-turn and drove in the opposite direction. The four gargoyles slumped with their wings drooping behind them.

"Now what?" the female groaned.

"Looks like we walk." The aqua one mumbled.

Back in Central Park, Elisa and Goliath trudged under a bridge, in which the gargoyle was leaning against the human. He fell to his knees, his vision blurry as he groaned.

"What is wrong with me…?" he let out.

Elisa pulled the dart from his arm. "This is what's wrong, they pumped you full of something." She then found something else on Goliath. A small shimmer of metal was under Goliath's wing. She plucked it from his back, her eyes narrowing.

"And this is how they found us." She showed him the metal piece.

"What is it?" he asked holding out his hand.

"A radio transmitter." She put it in his claw for him to examine it.

Goliath hummed, then looked at her. "Some form of magic that led them to us?"

Elisa nodded. "That's one way of putting it." She took the dart again to examine it closer and found something. "Look," she showed him a logo of a black beetle on a red background. "Some kind of manufacturers logo."

"But how did this…err, transmitter, get on me?"

Elisa narrowed her eyes and turned away. "Good question."

She spotted a stray dog rummaging through some garbage under the bridge with them. Carefully, she approached the dog and softly called to it. The dog first growled at her thinking she was a threat. Elisa slowed down, crouching down and offering her hand for it to sniff. Once it realized the detective wasn't going to hurt it, it calmed down and gave her a few licks.

Elisa smiled and gave the dog a head scratch, simultaneously slipping the transmitter behind its ear. "Go on. Go on. Go!" she insisted as the dog ran off into the park, taking the transmitter with him.

"There, let them chase Rover for a while instead of us." She stated as she went back over to Goliath, helping him to his feet before they continued onward.

"Let's get out of here before something else happens." She ended as they left the bridge.

Back at the castle, Hudson sat in the TV room after Owen giving him a quick explanation of what the TV was. During the rest of the night, he was enjoying himself laughing at the various channels as the gargoyle beast was resting on the love seat.

When it was almost dawn, both left the room, and were out on their tower. He was standing on the tower where they perch for the day as he waited for the others to arrive from their adventures. Pretty soon, the four young gargoyles landed in front of him and the beast.

"It's about time you lads and lass came home." He said as the beast barked happily and stood in front of the female. She gave the beast a scratch behind the ear as the others started to talk.

"This city is a fascinating place." The red one started.

"There are these underground tubes with giant metal snakes." the aqua one noted.

"They have lights that turn night into day." The green one chimed.

"There were these metal carriages on the streets that had no horses attached to them." The female beamed still petting the beast.

"Huge metal ships," the red one said spreading his arms and wings out.

"And all kinds of food!" the aqua one ended.

Hudson held up his hands with a smile on his face. "Have ye seen Goliath?"

The young ones stopped as they looked at each other with confused expressions. They looked back at the old one.

"He's not back yet?" the female asked. The old one shook his head.

"We'd thought he'd be back by now, it's almost dawn." The green one said with a look of worry on his face.

"Aye that's what worries me." Hudson said as he looked at the sky that was tinted light blue with a little of orange and yellow on the horizon line.

In Central Park, Elisa was still helping Goliath, who still was in the effects of the drug. Goliath turned to the brightening sky with a look of worry.

"Too late…" he let out. "I'll never make it back before sunrise."

"Before sunrise?" Elisa repeated.

Goliath freed himself from Elisa's grip, moving into the shades of the trees getting into a crouched position.

"Helpless…" he groggily explained. "During…the day…no defense…"

"I don't get it. What happens at sunrise?"

"You'll see…" was all Goliath answered, making the detective still confused.

Elisa went to ask more but turned and saw the mercenaries coming toward them. She cursed, turning back to Goliath as the sun rays shined through the skyscrapers.

"Goliath we-" she gasped when she saw Goliath becoming a stone statue right before her eyes. She reached for his arm, only to feel cold stone under her palm.

"Goliath?" she whispered. "Goliath?!

When Goliath wasn't answering her pleas, Elisa turned back to the mercenaries who were coming closer to her and the statue. Without any other options, she ran out in front of them, then turned tail away to distract them.

"There she goes!" the lead merc exclaimed.

"Where's the beast?" the female merc asked.

"We can track him later with the transmitter. Get her!" he answered, then they all followed after the detective.

Elisa ran through the foliage as fast as she could and made sure she was ahead at all times. She almost slowed down as she hit a tree branch, but she continued as the mercs gave chase.

The detective painted as she found herself at a picnic grounds. Needing a moment to catch her breath, she ran toward the maze of picnic tables and ducked down behind one of them. The mercs reached the area, and the lead one ordered them to fan out.

One of the mercs began approaching Elisa hiding. Elisa crouched lower as he cautiously stepped forward. When he was next to her, she tripped him, knocking him out, and snatching his gun. Two other mercs spotted her after hearing their comrade go down and immediately turned toward her. They began to open fire, which Elisa dodged easily before letting off a shot of her own and took one out.

Elisa continued running, ducking into a nearby boathouse sitting near a lake. The two remaining mercs closed in on her, but slowly in case the detective tried anything.

Inside the boathouse, Elisa checked the gun, then grunted. "Empty…" she made an annoyed sigh, then tossed it in the water.

She didn't have to take long to dwell on her luck before the two mercs opened fired in the boathouse. She ducked down, covering her head silently praying of not getting hit. When the firing stopped, she began to smell gasoline. She turned toward the smell, and red flags instantly rose as she saw gasoline tanks were spilling their contents.

She didn't have time to say anything as she ran out of the boathouse. The moment she jumped into the water, explosions were heard, and the boathouse instantly went in flames as the mercs opened fired again.

Back at the mercs, they were smiling in delight with what they've done.

"That takes care of that." The leader declared.

"Lets just make sure." His companion suggested as she went toward the boardwalk.

Under water, Elisa swam as fast as she could, trying to put some distance between the boathouse and herself. She swam toward the pier, surfacing quickly as she gasped for air under it. As she regained her breath, the slow moving steps of the mercs caught her attention. She saw one of them looking over the water for any sign of her, gun ready in case.

Elisa watched her move across the pier through the gaps in the boards, waiting for her time to strike. As the merc stepped closer to Elisa's post, the cop instantly wrapped her hand around the mercs ankle, yanking her into the lake.

The leader heard the splash, then turned around and saw Elisa's running form heading into the woods. He grinned, pulling out a fresh clip and shoving it into his gun.

"You don't know it, but you're making this harder than it had to be!" he shouted at her retreating form.

Elisa ignored her as she ran deeper into the forest, trying to escape her pursuer. Unfortunately, her chance at escape became short when she found herself staring at a large cliff with a waterfall and a creek. She cursed as she could hear the leader closing in on her.

The merc slowly walked toward the cliff with his gun reader and pointing it at anything that was moving.

"Its over lady," the leader called out. "Don't get me wrong, I admire you. You and that freak job took out four of my people.

As he moved in, he saw a flash of red amongst the trees. He turned, then grinned that he knew he found her. "And now…" he slowly moved into the trees, then jumped forward to end her once and for all. Much to his surprise, all he found was the detectives jacket hanging on a branch.

"Uh-oh." The leader let out, knowing it was a trap.

Elisa jumped out from behind a rock, tackling the guy quickly. The leader's gun let out bullets in the air, then the detective knocked it out of his hand and into a stream. Even with the detectives training, the leader overpowered by her as he pushed her back hard. He went to tackle her, only to be flipped over her shoulder, and knocked on the ground hard. He was knocked unconscious.

Elisa panted hard, knowing this is over for now. She turned to her jacket that was still on the branch.

"Lot to go through for a piece of lawn sculpture," she remarked as she took her jacket, then left the fallen merc with a winded face.

For the rest of the day, Elisa went back to Goliath's statue and stayed with him throughout the entire day. The only person who was suspicious of the statue was a local jogger who never saw him in the park before. All Elisa could say was, "This park is full of surprises."

That evening, the sun began to set, pulling Goliath from his stone slumber. Hearing the loud cracking sound, Elisa bolted awake with a jump to her feet.

She gasped as Goliath broke free of his stone slumber, sending her back as stone debris flew everywhere. Once he was done, Elisa ran to his side.

"Goliath are you alright?" she asked, her tone laced with worry.

"Of course." He answered, not sure why she was worried.

"At least the sedative seems to have worn off." She commented, seeing Goliath not exhausted from the other night.

Sleep rejuvenates us." The lead gargoyle explained as he looked down at her with a curious expression. "You stayed with me, throughout the entire day?"

Elisa shrugged. "Someone had to make sure those comic book rejects didn't find you." She added.

Goliath smiled. "Thank you…It is quite possible, that you saved my life."

He offered out his hand, which made Elisa a little surprised at his gestured, but accepted it with grace.

"So now we're even." She suggested.

Goliath nodded, then glanced up at the Eyrie that was off to the distance.

"I must return to the castle. The others will be worried."

"I understand." She nodded. As Goliath turned away from her, she later added. "So…Later tonight?"

The smile on Goliath's face was all she needed.

At the castle, the other gargoyles woke up stretching from their sleep feeling rejuvenated again. The red one hopped off his perch, giving a small glance to the top of the tower where Goliath usually slept. The other young gargoyles followed his gaze with looks of worry as well.

"Don't worry lads and lass," the old one assured them as the others turned to him. "He'll be back. We didn't survive a thousand years sleep just to lose him now."

"I hope you're right." The red one said as the female placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. She looked over him and sees a familiar figure heading toward them.

"Look!" the female exclaimed pointing forward. The others turned and grinned as they saw Goliath coming in for a landing. Everyone surrounded him with large grins as he landed.

"We were worried about you." The red one explained.

"What happened?" the old one asked.

Goliath narrowed his eyes. "It appears we have enemies." He explained to them that he and Elisa were attacked by the attackers two nights ago after they woke up.

"Them again?" the female mumbled crossing her arms. "Every time we're around, we get attacked for no reason." She turned her head away from the other with a look of hate on her face. "Jerks…"

"Given what happened," the leader turned to the old one. "I wish you had accompanied us last night Hudson."

The four young gargoyles turned to the old one with surprised expressions.

"Hudson?" the red one asked.

"You named yourself?" the female added.

"Aye, it's my name," Hudson then turned to them with a challenged expression. "What would you make of it?"

From his tone, it was like he was up for a challenge. Luckily, nobody said anything to provoke him.

"It's a fine name." the aqua one said.

"Hudson, I like it." The olive one added.

"It suits you." The female beamed.

The red one then had an idea. "We should choose names too. Names that suit our new lives here."

Goliath smirked, crossing his arms. "Oh? And what might that be?"

The red one scratched his head in thought. "Brooklyn." He then pointed at himself. "I'm Brooklyn."

"Broadway." The aqua one spread his arms out.

"Uh Lexington." The olive one piped up. "Do you like it?"

Goliath and Hudson smiled at each other, then turned to the female who was looking at her necklace in a quizzical look.

"And what of you lass?" Hudson asked.

"Huh?" the female looked at the old one, then back to her necklace. Looking at the shiny opal charm, she then thought of something as if this name were familiar to her, but she doesn't know why. She looked at the others with a smile. "You can call me Chelsea."

Goliath beamed proudly at them all. "They're all fine names," he looked at the gargoyle beast who gave a loud bark. "I guess he'll need a name as well."

"Oh I got one for him too," Brooklyn said hitting his hand on him fist, then crouched down at the beast. "From now on…you're Bronx."

Bronx huffed and walked away leaving the red gargoyle stunned. Chelsea covered her mouth to hold her snicker, but it didn't work as she gave a small chuckle that everyone heard. Brooklyn turned to her with a slight glare.

"Sorry, but that was funny." Chelsea snickered as she covered her mouth and turned away trying to calm down.

"I think he likes it." Lexington chuckled.

There laugh soon ended when they heard someone clearing their throat behind them. Owen arrived and asked for Goliath to join Xanatos in the dining hall. When he arrived, Xanatos greeted him warmly.

"I'm glad you made it." The man greed.

"You wish to see me Xanatos?" the leader asked with his usual frown.

Xanatos stood at the main table with his smile not faltering. "Goliath, there's someone here I want you to meet. An old acquaintance I believe." He gestures to a door behind him, and it opened automatically.

"Who?" the leader asked, not sure what is going on.

His answer was heard, when his mate, the second in command, stepped out of the doors with her wings capped around her body. Goliath gasped suddenly, taking a step back with sheer shock as if he is seeing a ghost. In his case, he thought she was dead for all these years.

"You're…you're alive?" the leader asked, as if he is seeing a ghost of his mate.

"Goliath," the second spoke with much passion. "My love." Her face then became dark for a split second, but it wasn't noticed.

After a few seconds of frozen time, Goliath and the second spread their wings out, and came to one another in a warm embrace. The second wrapped her wings on her leader, then Goliath encased both him and his newly found love with much passion.

"My angel. It really is you." He said as he petted her deep red hair.

"Oh Goliath," the second said with smile. "All the days I have dreamed of you, and this moment."

They eventually released one another, though they continued holding each other's hands.

"I'm very happy for you both." Xanatos said coming to them.

Goliath looked at Xanatos with a slightly confused frown.

"This man has brought us together, my love." The second answered. "We owe our reunion to David Xanatos."

"But…How?" Goliath was confused. "You were shattered by the Vikings."

"No. I feared for your safety, so I left the castle to find you. But I lost my way and the sun rose before I could return."

"But how did you survive all these centuries?" Goliath examined his love, not seeing a single age marked her face.

The second caressed her loves face. "When I returned to the castle, the Magus had already turned you to stone. I begged him to cast my spell on me, so that we might awaken together."

"I saw her a year ago and was so impressed," Xanatos spoke. "I acquired her for my private collection. Then after I woke you and the others up, it seemed plausible that a trip to the castle might have the same effect on her."

Goliath looked at Xanatos, then to his love in his arms. "With you alive, I can start to live again as well."

The second smiled warmly at him. "As you said, you and I are one. Now and forever."

Chelsea sighed as she sat on the stone railing. "Wonder what's keeping Goliath?" she asked.

"Since when are you impatient?" Brooklyn teased across from her.

Chelsea rolled her eyes. "I'm not, just-"

"LASS!" Hudson exclaimed, then everyone turned to who he was talking about. The second they saw who it was, they were overjoyed seeing the second in command who they thought was dead. They all came over to her and Goliath as Bronx instantly pounced on her licking her to death.

Questions were being thrown in the air by the clan. "Lass, is it really you?" Hudson asked.

"How is it possible?" Brooklyn inquired that he thought she was dead.

"How did you…"

"I will answer your questions later," the second answered petting Bronx. "It's just good to see all of you again." As soon as the second stood up, she gasped when she saw Chelsea next to Hudson.

The young gargoyles' face was stunned and looked like she was seeing a ghost than the real thing. Chelsea didn't know what to think, seeing the gargoyle who she looked up to in all of her life who she thought was dead, is now standing in front of her and her clan. She's not sure if she was dreaming or not.

"My child," the second spoke in a soft gentle voice as she stood in front of her. "It's me." She stretched her arms out to her with a warm aura around her form.

Chelsea didn't say anything but rushed to the second and wrapped her arms around the older gargoyles neck. A soft sniff was heard from the young gargoyle as the second wrapped her arms around her waist. The others looked at their reunion with small smiles knowing that the young female missed the second more than ever.

Chelsea sniffed as her head tiled to the seconds ear. "But…how did-"

The second shushed her as she looked down at Chelsea's face and wiped unshed tears from her thin face. "I'll explain everything later my child," she then turned to Goliath who hasn't moved from his spot. "My love, I must ask a favor of you,"

"Anything,"

"Xanatos has told me of the disks that were stolen from him," she said making her hands look like a disk.

"He wants our help in retrieving them." Goliath stated, remembering Xanatos's words from two nights ago.

"Yes, and I think we should help him." She said as she took his claw and gently caressed in it. "Out of gratitude for reuniting us, if nothing else."

"I agree. Perhaps in helping him, we can rid ourselves of the humans who hunt us." He kissed the seconds hand so gently. "Besides, with you by my side. I can do anything."

The second smiled, knowing where this is going.

The gargoyles gathered around in Xanatos' office. After a quick explanation of what a television is, Xanatos explained what they are doing.

"I've explained the strengths and weaknesses of each fortress," Xanatos explained. "And given you want I think are the best plans of attack."

Goliath and the others digested this information, knowing this will be different than the raids back in Scotland. Chelsea gulped next to the trio as she saw all three fortresses. She turned to Xanatos as she finished.

"Only your speed and strength can stand against their defenses."

Goliath turned to his mate. "We will take the air fortress." He turned to the trio and Chelsea. "You four will breach the tower."

"Cool!" Brooklyn exclaimed.

"What?" the leader asked with a raised eye ridge.

"It's a new word we heard last night." Broadway explained.

"It indicates a positive response." Lexington added.

"Now only that one, but there are other new words as well," Chelsea ended.

"Ah…" Goliath said after a minute, he turned to Hudson. "Hudson, the underground base is yours. But take Bronx with you."

Hudson gawked, miffed that he has to have a partner. "I'm perfectly capable of-"

"Take him with you." Goliath insisted. "He needs the exercise."

Hudson sighed, then turned to Bronx with a smile.

"Be careful all of you." Goliath announced to his clan. "Humans are much more dangerous in these times."

"Then what other way to start this night than bring back stolen property?" Chelsea inquired, which made Goliath rumble of a chuckle.

"Come on then." Hudson announced then turned his heel out of them.

Pretty soon all the gargoyles exited the office one by one. Unbeknownst to all of them, Xanatos looked at the departing gargoyles with narrowed eyes and a smirk.

Outside on their tower, the gargoyles stood on their perches, waiting if everyone was accounted for. When everyone was here, the second turned to Chelsea who was perched next to her.

"Be careful," she said to her.

"You as well." Chelsea answered with a smile as she turned to the trio.

When Brooklyn saw she was ready, he jumped off and flew in the night. "Lets go!"

After him, Broadway jumped into the night, then Lexington, and lastly Chelsea. Goliath followed her form as it shrunk smaller and smaller into the distance. A slight look of worry edged on his face.

"They better not be harmed." He mumbled.

"They are young and impetuous," the second spoke. "But they are also warriors trained by the best." She turned to her mate, knowing who he's thinking about. "She'll be fine." She added softly.

Goliath turned to his mate with a warm smile then nodded. He then took her claw, then shook his head like he wasn't believing anything. "To soar with you again. It's like a dream."

"We've dreamed for a thousand years Goliath. It's time for our dreams to come true."

After she said that, the second jumped off her perch gliding into the night. Goliath gliding close behind her. They decided to have a little fun by doing a few air acrobats, then souring high into the sky with the second in front of her leader. This night will be one night that'll never be forgotten.

The flying fortress soared high above the skies of Manhattan like a huge vessel sailing through waters. The ship read "CYBERBIOTICS" on the side in big white letters as it slowly flew in the skies.

Trailing behind them, Goliath and his mate glided toward the bottom of the ship. To their efforts, the powerful gusts of winds from the rotors proved to be difficult as they fought against the winds. Goliath was the first to grab an antennae for support, then looked back as his mate took grip as well.

Maintaining a firm grip, Goliath used his claws to tear a hole in the hull of the ship, pulling himself inside the craft. He reached back down to pull his mate in as well.

The leader looked around and found themselves in the engine part of the ship. "The disk will be well guarded no doubt." He hypothesized.

"If the humans wish to throw away their worthless lives guarding it, that's their concern." She replied coldly.

Goliath blinked as he was caught off guard at her lack of feeling.

"This way." The second told him, as she walked down the hallway.

Goliath followed her, after a short moment of he followed her. He knew she wasn't a fan of the humans back in Scotland, but this cold response was something he didn't expect.

As they marched on for a short while, the sound of guns being cocked halted their progress.

"Hold it right there." One of the security guards ordered.

Both Goliath and the second turned, the latter with a smirk creeping on her face.

"You won't fire those guns in here." She told them, closing in on them with her eyes glowing red. "You could damage the airship."

"Don't bet your life on it monster." The guard warned as he aimed their guns at her.

Goliath narrowed his eyes. "Its too risky." He warned.

"Stand back, I'm warning you." Before the guard could say anything, the second jumped onto the wall before pouncing on one of the guards. The other stepped back in shock attempting to shoot her, but was short as Goliath ran forward, tackling his mate out of the way of the fire. The bullet hit one of the pipes, making the hallway filled with steam. Goliath used this to his advantage as he disappeared in the mist.

The remaining guard stood his ground, looking around for the two gargoyles, but to no avail. His stomach felt like he swallowed too much air as he was sweating profusely. As he continued his search, his companion suddenly came out of nowhere as he was hit by the adjacent hallway right in front of him. The remaining guard didn't have time to turn as he spotted the second stalking toward him, her eyes glowing like two demonic orbs.

He yelped in fear, then a shadowed loomed over behind him. He turned, then yelped again as Goliath grabbed a hold of him and knocked him out cold.

"The gunfire may have alert the others," Goliath stated. "We'd better hurry."

The second didn't say anything as she grabbed a hold of the first guard, dangling him over to the hole they just entered.

"Wait," Goliath gasped then grabbed her wrist. "What are you doing?"

"What does it look like?" she countered. "I'm making sure they don't cause us more trouble later."

"No!" Goliath snapped. "To kill in the heat of battle is one thing, but not like this!"

The second narrowed her eyes at Goliath, then to the human who was dangled over the hole. After a few seconds of dead silence, the second threw the guard away like a sack of potatoes.

"The centuries have made you weak Goliath." Was all she said as she continued forward.

Goliath watched her go, an ominous feeling in his heart as he followed her closely.

Over at another part of the city, Brooklyn, Broadway, Lexington, and Chelsea flew toward the tower at the bay. It was a tall tower that was surrounded by fortified walls, but the four gargoyles were able to glide over it as they landed on the roof with ease.

"Man, the magic in this century is so…" Lexington began, stumbling on the last word. "So…"

"Cool?" Brooklyn suggested.

"Exciting?" Chelsea added on the other side of Broadway.

"Exactly." The green gargoyle agreed to both words.

Brooklyn looked at his surroundings. "We need a way in."

The sound of knocking on metal was heard to the three males as Chelsea found a metal hatchway. She pointed at it with her thumb. "How about this one?"

"No problem." Broadway cracked his knuckles as he easily teared the door off its hinges. He turned to Chelsea with a smile.

"After you, my lady." He declared with a slight blush.

Chelsea chuckled good naturally, then descended into the building with the others not far behind. They found themselves in an empty room. There was an elevator right next to the entry point as Brooklyn walked forward.

"Xanatos said its four floors down," he said as he easily pried the doors open.

When he opened the doors fully, the others looked down into a bottomless elevator shaft.

"This isn't like the elevators back at the castle." Broadway said.

"Perhaps its in use?" Chelsea inquired behind Lexington who was in front of her.

"Hmm, not enough room to glide down." Lexington pointed out looking down on his claws and feet.

"Well, we'll just use this rope here in the middle." Brooklyn pointed at the metal cables that were supporting the elevator. He then jumped out grabbing onto one of the cables before sliding down.

The other three looked at each other with confused looks, then they followed the red one's movements as they were sliding down to their designated floor.

"One…Two…Three…Four!" Brooklyn stopped as he found the floor. He jumped onto the ledge of the door, then began prying the doors open. Lexington, Broadway, and Chelsea stayed to their cable.

"This is easy," Broadway declared with a confident smirk. "We'll have that disk and be home and time for supper."

Chelsea made a unsure look. "Don't you guys think this was too easy?"

Before anyone could say anything, the doors finally opened, only to reveal several armed guards aiming their weapons right at the four gargoyles.

"A…late supper." Broadway rephrased as all them froze at the guards weapons.
