Blue Bloods Story

So full transparency I have never seen one episode of Blue Bloods in my life. I know of the show but, but have never watched it. So here is a story I thought of while watching clips of Eddie and Jamie on you tube. I don't know if there are actually scenes of this storyline as I couldn't find anything online, so here is my attempt at writing what I feel is a missing scene in the series. Also, I am slightly drunk from too many White Russians and Peanut Butter Whiskey Cocktails so please be forgiving. We'll see if I want to change anything when I am slightly more sober tomorrow!

Roll Call two days before Jamie and Eddie's wedding. By some grace of God, the officers at the 29 precinct have not figured out that Jamie and Eddie are together. They have all seen how close they are, and have freely speculated amongst each other about how Eddie is sleeping with the Sargant to get favors and primo postings/shifts at the 29.

Jamie gave out the days assignments and then before releasing everyone to tour knew there was one more thing he had to say.

"All right before I release you to your assignments, I feel it is time to come clean with some information I have been keeping from you." Jamie said and took a fortifying breath to gather his courage. He had no doubts about Eddie and their future together, but he couldn't lie that he was a little worried about how his fellow officers would react to his announcement. "As many of you know that this weekend is my wedding." There was a murmuring among the squad assembled in the briefing room.

"So, I will be out for the next two weeks on my honeymoon and I feel it is imperative that I tell you how things are going to run. Sergeant Harris from the night shift will be covering for me while I am gone. I expect you to give him the respect you afford me. In fact, I expect you to give him beyond the respect you give me. He is a fine officer, and I know he will lead the precinct greatly in my absence."

The squad was murmuring amongst themselves looking from one to the other. They knew that something important was about to be announced.

"There will be another among you that will be out for the next two weeks, and I feel that it is only fair that I, that we explain why she will be out." Jamie smirked a little as he looked at the faces full of confusion spreading across the men and women he worked with every day. "Officer Janko, will you come up here please."

He couldn't lie that the murmurs that quickly rose among the men and women gathered in the briefing room was satisfying. He was not one to court attention, but the looks crossing among the faces around the room satisfied him to no end.

"So, the reason that Officer Janko will be out for the next two weeks is that quite simply I will be marrying Officer Janko on Saturday." The reaction to his announcement was surprising to say the least. The gathered men and women of the 29 were no longer silent at attention and were looking back and forth to each other gossiping about what many had suspected.

"All right, all right!" Jamie yelled banging his hand on the podium and shaking his head at Eddie who was beaming at him. "Listen up! We are going to tell you a few things so that things are clear."

There was a chorus of shushes that ran around the room and just as quickly the room was silent again. "Ok, one: Yes, Eddie and I met four years ago when we were partnered together. No, we were not sleeping together during that time."

"Not to say I didn't flirt with him at that time. It was super fun watching him squirm!" Eddie jumped in teasing him.

"You are not helping!" Jamie said exasperatedly shaking his head at her. "Anyway, about six months ago we were involved in a shooting and she saved my life. Well, we decided there that we didn't want to take a chance on something happening again and we got engaged."

"Then Jamie was promoted and we decided though we knew we couldn't ride together anymore we still make a pretty good team and wanted to stay working together." Eddie explained. "Any questions?"

The room was silent for a few more seconds with people glancing back and forth to each other before Kara hesitantly raised his hand. "You expect us to believe you two weren't knocking boots years ago, I mean ask anyone at the 12th and they can tell you there were many bets going around on when the two of you were going to be caught making out in your cruiser." She laughed and looked to the other officers that had come over from the 12th for backup. They were all nodding their heads.

"Hey why did no one ever tell me about those bets! I could have made a fortune over the years!" Eddie exclaimed.

"On that note, we are done." Jamie huffed his face reddening slightly. "If there are any more questions, we, may or may not answer them after tour at McLarens. Come join us for a drink to celebrate." He emphasized by pointing back and forth from his bride to himself. "Go out everyone and be safe. Dismissed."

Eddie's grin was back as she watched the men and women leaving the room. She could hear the snippets of conversations that ranged from, I knew there was a reason she was always in his cubicle to "I don't believe they never did anything for four years. I mean look at them they're both too hot to resist temptation all that time." She was about to turn to Jamie and pull him into a hug when she felt a presence behind her. She turned to see Kara and the other officers from the 12th standing there grinning at them.

"We're really supposed to believe nothing happened between you two in all that time? I'm sorry I don't believe it. You two were always so, "comfortable" with each other." She teased with a smile on her face. "We all saw you two had something after your first tour together." The other officers gathered around nodded with beaming grins on their faces. "No, but seriously, you two, we are super happy for you both." She finished and held out her hand to shake both of theirs.

"Thanks Kara." Eddie glanced back to Jamie who wore a matching expression on happiness on his face.

"No, thank you." Kara said with a teasing gleam in her eye. "I am going to make bank when I call Brady Collins after tour today. He was the mastermind behind the Janko Reagan Betting Pool, and I stand to make a healthy $1000."

"What..." Eddie scoffed and stared at the officers who were all laughing as they trapsed out of the briefing room. "But…"

"Let it go Eddie." Jamie interrupted her. "You can't honestly be that surprised by this."

"No, I guess not." Eddie smirked and stared at her fiancé. "Looking back, we were not exactly subtle with our feelings. You were always protective over me."

"Protective, me?" Jamie joked. "I will always be protective over you, no matter what for the rest of my days."

Eddie couldn't keep her heart from swelling at the look of love projecting from Jamie. It was the heartfelt caring things that he regularly said that was one of the many reasons Eddie had fallen in love with him. She could feel the tears welling up in her eyes so she took a fortifying breath and smiling at Jamie said, "All right Fiancé, it feels good to say that, give me a kiss and wish me luck."

"Here?" Jamie nervously looked around.

"Yes here. Don't be a prude. We went public we can share a kiss." Eddie scolded.

"All right." Jamie pulled her forward and gently kissed her for a few seconds before pulling away. "I will do better than that after tour."

"Ugh, you suck!" Eddie scolded and playfully hit him on the shoulder before walking out of the briefing room purposefully adding an extra sway to her hips that she knew drove Jamie crazy.
