And that's it. At first, the idea for this story started out with just Anais and Nicole having the conversation they did in this chapter, but then I realized I would have to set up a situation first, that gives them a reason to have this talk in the first place.

That's when I got the idea for Gumball being the one to push them together and just kept adding a lot of details. And now the built-up for what this story was supposed to be has ironically become longer than that part itself but overall, I'm pretty happy with the way it worked out and I hope you're as well.

Some feedback would be appreciated, as I'm planning to become more active with fanfictions for this series from now on and already have some more ideas for TAWOG stories I want to write soon, so I could need your advice. Thanks for reading!

Headcanons of Valha28, I included in this story:

- If Anais is scared or upset she goes to her brothers over her parents for comfort (I tried to come up with an explanation for why she does this in Gumball's talk with Nicole)

- She sometimes wishes that she wasn't as smart as she is, as she feels her life would be easier if she wasn't

- Though she told Nicole that she didn't want to be dumb anymore, she still secretly enjoys doing dumb stuff with her brothers every so often, especially if she is stressed or burnt out

- She has a bed in her room, but sleeps with Gumball and Darwin in their room because she's still too afraid to sleep on her own

And one headcanon of my own, I included:

- Just like Gumball was shown to have a deep connection to Darwin in the episode "The Origins" due to their love for each other, where they could sense when the other one was near and even their emotions, like when Darwin felt that Gumball gave up on finding him, he has grown to have a similar connection to Anais over the years unconsciously, in the way of a literal "Big Brother Instinct", where he is able to sense when she is in trouble or distress. The reason he was able to sense this and Nicole wasn't, is because her mother senses are more focused on her kids causing or being in physical danger instead of emotional turmoil, like when she could hear Gumball screaming for her in "The Mothers", when him and Darwin were hanging from that banner and in danger of falling to the ground from a high distance.
