Chapter 1: Saving Lana

Lana's POV:

When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie theater I had only one thing on my mind. Getting home before Adam and Lute find out I left the house. I am not supposed to leave without their permission. But I had to escape the house to get away from their abuse just for one day. I couldn't take it anymore. As I spread my golden and white wings, I felt something attack me. I yelped when I got pushed to the ground.

"I found her, sir!"

I recognized that voice. The voice belonged to Lute. Oh no. I am in big trouble. Adam flew down beside her.

"Nice work, Lute," Adam said. I was going to run, but Lute held me in place. Adam walked over to me. He had an angry look on his face.

"You think you can get away with breaking the rules, bitch?" Adam said dangerously.

"Adam, please don't do this to me," I begged while tearing up. I yelped in pain when I felt the collar going off.

"How many times have I told you not to beg unless we are having sex?" Adam said. Adam smirked at me. "You know, Lana. You're hot as fuck, but sometimes you need punishments."

"ADAM NO, PLEASE!" I yelled. I tried to get away, but Lute held me down.

"Stay still," Lute growled at me.

I braced myself for a beating. Adam punched me in the face multiple times and kicked me in the stomach. I spit out blood and cried. When will this end, I kept thinking. Adam continued beating me until I heard a voice call out.

"Hey!"

Ruby's POV:

I made my way to the movie theater with my team. We are going to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie, the movie I have been looking forward to see. "Come on guys, we don't want to be late!" I said, leading my team toward the entrance of the theater.

"I'll get the snacks while you get the tickets," Yang said.

"Okay, sis," I said. I heard something going on outside the distance as we were about to enter the building. I peeked around the corner to see two adults beating up a teenage girl. The woman was holding the girl down while the man in front of her punched her.

The man's eyes were normal-looking and had a golden color. He had a pair of horns on his head. There was a golden ornamental attached to the tips. He also had a pair of large and golden-colored wings on his back. The man had a halo bright gold in appearance. He wears a smooth white and golden cloak that appears to have a large 'A' symbol embolized on the front. His visible hands are black in appearance.

The female who is holding the girl down has a black, white, and grey uniform along with her face with some bloodstains. She has two large goat-like horns on her head, above that sits a black halo with a white glow. She has two large white wings on her back.

The girl that was being beaten had long brown curly hair with yellow and white streaks in between the brown color. She had her hair in a ponytail along with large golden and white wings on her back. She is wearing a graphic t-shirt with black leggings and has a visible scar on her eye with a cut left ear.

"You pathetic excuse of a wife." The man said, kicking her. My eyes widened in horror as the girl was still being held down, not fighting back.

"You know you are not supposed to leave the house without our permission." The woman said. She picked the girl up by her wings. I turn my back to see my team looking at me. I felt a couple of tears forming in my eyes.

"Ruby? What's wrong?" Blake asked me.

I wiped the tears in my eyes. "I am going to save that girl. I can't stand here and do nothing." I said. Everyone nodded.

"Be careful," Weiss said.

I gave Weiss a small smile. They followed me as I made my way around the corner towards the girl and her abusers.

"Hey! Stop beating her!" I yelled. The man and the woman turned their attention towards me.

"Why should we? She's a good-for-nothing wife. She can't do anything right." The man said.

"Always breaking the rules." The woman added. The man kicked the girl once more. I used my semblance to run past them. Yang punched the woman who was holding down the girl. I grabbed the girl and sped toward the back of the theater to get her away from the abusers.

Lana's POV:

I looked in surprise as the girl with red hair saved me from Adam and Lute. The red-haired girl got me to a safe distance away from them.

"You little bit-" Adam is cut off when the yellow-haired girl punches Adam hard in the stomach. Lute went to hit the red-haired girl, but the white-haired girl made a circle to speed up the black-haired girl to stop Lute. I held onto the red-haired girl tightly as she went to comfort me.

"Are you okay?" She asked me.

"I-I think so..." I said quietly. "Thank you for saving me."

The red-haired girl smiled at me. "My name is Ruby. These are my teammates, Weiss, Blake, and Yang."

"I-I-I'm Lana." I stuttered.

I groaned when I felt a sharp pain from where Adam had hit me. I felt blood gushing out of my skin. Ruby looked at the ground next to me and noticed spots of blood.

"Yang, look at the ground," Ruby said with worry. Yang looked down. I watched Yang's purple eyes turn red. Yang walked towards Adam and Lute.

"Yang, no. We'll let someone else take care of them." Blake said. Yang took a deep breath to calm down. Her eyes turned back to her normal purple color.

Blake leaned down next to me to check me for wounds. "We need to get this girl help as soon as we can," Blake said.

Weiss inspects my wings. "I think she is a Faunus," Weiss said.

"I'm actually an angel... I'm from Heaven and Hell." I said. The team looked at me with confusion on their faces. Blood kept pouring down my skin.

"We need to go now before she loses more blood," Yang said.

"Right," Weiss said.

Blake picked me up. "Everything's going to be okay," Blake assured me. Adam and Lute were going to follow, but Weiss pointed her blade at them.

"Don't you dare. Unless you want to get the police called on you." Weiss said threateningly. Adam and Lute stayed silent, not daring to follow after Weiss's threat. Ruby looked down with sadness on her face.

"Are you okay, Ruby?" Yang asked.

"I just feel bad that this poor girl has to go through all of that," Ruby said.

"Well, we've done everything we can," Weiss said.

"At least we saved her from that torture," Blake said.

I found myself struggling to stay awake after the amount of blood I lost from the beating. Not able to stay awake any longer, I blacked out.

Ruby's POV:

The doctors had me step outside as they took Lana into emergency surgery for her wounds. Lana ended up having a broken wing and a broken arm as a result. I feel so bad for that girl. I wondered why she stayed with those two people if they were abusing her constantly. My team and I waited outside for the surgery to be done. Yang paced around nervously while I fidgeted in my lap. A few minutes later, a doctor came out of the room.

"Is she going to be okay?" Yang asked with worry in her voice.

"Yes, but she has lost a lot of blood. She will need to be in casts for a while for her broken wing and arm. We will need to run a few tests on her before we send her home." The doctor said.

"Thank you," Weiss said. The doctor left us alone.

"We should go back to our room. There is not much we can do here at the moment." Blake said.

I sighed. "Okay."

Yang places her hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry. We can come visit her again when they finish operating on her."

I nodded and then we left the hospital. Later that night, I heard a knock on the door. "I'll get it," I said. I walked to the door to answer it. I saw Professor Ozpin standing at the door with his usual mug of coffee in his hand. Team JNPR was next to Professor Ozpin. They heard about the incident that happened earlier today.

"Hello, Professor," I said, greeting him.

"Hello, Ms. Rose. I'd like to chat with you and your team for a moment." Professor Ozpin said.

"Okay," I said.

"Ms. Rose, team RWBY. You all did the job of a true huntress by saving this young girl from abuse. But I have one question. What are you going to do now that her spouses left, and her family is nowhere in sight?" Professor Ozpin asked me.

I looked at the team. We whispered amongst ourselves for a minute. We took a moment to talk to team JNPR too. I then turned to Professor Ozpin. "Me and my team will take her in. We will adopt her," I said.

"And my team will adopt her too," Jaune said.

Professor Ozpin raised his eyebrow. "Are you sure? Raising a child has a lot of responsibility. It comes with many challenges."

I had flashbacks of Lana being abused in my mind. I nodded, knowing it is the right thing to do for this girl. Team JNPR agreed with me too.

"Good. Make sure you take good care of her. Let me know if you need anything. I'll get the adoption papers tomorrow." Professor Ozpin said.

"Thank you, Professor," Pyrrha said.

Professor Ozpin left the room.

The next day, my team, team JNPR, and I went back to the hospital to pick up Lana. The doctor informed me that they finished all the tests that they needed to do on her and that she was free to go home. They told me that Lana had a collar around her neck but they were able to remove it during surgery. Lana's right wing and her right hand is still in a cast. Before we went home, I introduced Lana to team JNPR.

"Lana. This is team JNPR. Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha, and Ren." I said.

"H-Hi," Lana said, a bit nervously.

Jaune gives Lana a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. We're not going to hurt you."

"We will take good care of you," Pyrrha said.

"I will protect you. So will my team and team JNPR." I said.

"We won't let those bastards go near you again," Yang said.

"Yang, watch your language. She's only a child." Weiss said.

"It's fine... my husband swears a lot, so I'm used to it," Lana said. Lana held onto my hand tightly as we made our way back to Beacon Acadamy. Lana didn't let go. This poor girl must have gone through a lot at the hands of her abusive husband. No one should have to go through this.

I am glad my team and our friends' team JNPR saved her and are able to take her in.

"I have a question?" Lana said.

"Yes?" I said.

"C-Can I call you guys Mommy and Daddy?" Lana asked.

I giggled. This girl is really cute. "Of course you can. I already told Professor Ozpin that we would take care of you. We adopted you too." I said.

Lana hugged me and Jaune tightly. "Thank you guys. Thank you for saving me too," Lana said.

"Anytime, kiddo," Jaune said, rubbing her head.

Jaune and I returned Lana's hug. I vowed as a new mother that I'd do anything to protect this girl and keep her safe.

Hey everyone, welcome to my new chapter for my RWBY fanfiction. I finally figured out how I wanted this story to go so there should be no more deletions of this story from now on. This chapter is mostly written in Ruby's POV to explain more of how Team RWBY and Team JNPR adopted Lana. Most of this story will be told in Lana's prospective. This story takes place after the events of Volume 2 and before Volume 3.

Another thing to note is that I do not own any Hazbin Hotel or RWBY characters. The only character I own is Lana. I hope you guys enjoy this story and please vote/review I appreciate it if you guys do. Thank you and have a good day.
