A celebration for the 20th anniversary of Soul Eater launching in the heart of spooky season. This will be a collection of short stories that I write for Soul Eater. And they have time to master their craft? The story and all but one of the OC's are mine, the other is a friend's with his permission. There are some inspirations from Guilty Gear as well, if you spot them congrats!

After an unexpected moment of closeness, things between Maka and Soul start to change. Best friends and partners, they find themselves navigating unfamiliar territory as their feelings begin to blur.

"I got more wet sand," he replied, setting his bucket down next to his unorthodox construction. Then he eyed Spirit's hands clasped near to his chest. "Did you finally catch an octopus?" Spirit grinned. "Come here!" The younger boy crossed the sand toward him, eyeing his hands with a slightly narrowed gaze. "Not an octopus," Spirit said, hesitating.

The wild west. A place of rugged beauty and daring adventures. A place where romance is free to roam and love and bravery are as vast as the endless Texas sky.

Spirit slowly stood and turned to face everyone. He grinned briefly, ran a hand back through his hair as he cleared his throat, and his expression grew nervous as blue eyes began slowly scanning the small crowd. And then, Stein felt a familiar warmth hovering at the edges of his wavelength. He hid behind the pillar, holding his breath. "And for the final piece...one witch soul!"

When the gang is sent to infiltrate a suspicious series of gatherings that turn out to be at the heart of a dark coven, shenanigans ensue. Is this mission doomed before it can even begin, or will our heroes get it together long enough not to become witch fodder?
