Kevin gripped the steering wheel, guiding the car down the highway as Reiko lounged in the front seat. In the back, Ben stared out the window, lost in thought, while Kuri sat beside him, her hands glowing faintly with silver light.
Suddenly, Kevin's Plumber badge began to buzz, the holographic display lighting up the car. At the same moment, Kuri's eyes flashed silver.
"We have to stop them!" she exclaimed. "There's a boy—a Pyronite hybrid. He's been wrongly accused and imprisoned."
Kevin glanced at the badge. "Coordinates locked. Looks like it's out in the countryside."
As they drove, Ben frowned. "Are you sure Grandpa Max isn't out there trying to help this… boy?"
Kuri sighed, her gaze softening. "Ben, I didn't see Max, but I can feel him. He's out there somewhere."
Ben crossed his arms, glancing away. "Right. Of course, you'd know."

The coordinates led them to a small town and an abandoned ice warehouse on the outskirts. Kuri's silver eyes flared as they approached.
"He escaped," she said with a smile, her relief palpable.
"Great," Ben said, slamming down the Omnitrix. "Now we chase him. He has some explaining to do."
"Ben, wait—" Kuri started, but he transformed into Jetray and took off before she could stop him.
Ben found the boy just outside town, his Pyronite form engaged in a desperate fight against the sheriff and his deputies. Fire streaked across the sky as Alan deflected their attacks, his movements clumsy but determined.
"Hey, down here!" Kuri shouted from the ground, running toward the chaos.
Alan turned at her voice, his flaming body dimming slightly as he descended. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he transformed back into his human form—a lanky teenager with dark skin and glowing orange eyes.
Kuri grabbed his hand, pulling him into a nearby barn. "Come on, let's get you out of sight."
Ben flew in and reverted to his human form, his expression a mix of irritation and curiosity. "Why are you two helping him?"
Alan looked wary, his gaze flicking between them. "Why would you help me? You don't even know me."
Kuri knelt beside him, her voice gentle. "Because we know what it's like to have powers that set you apart. You're not alone." She flicked her hand, telekinetically closing the barn door.
Alan hesitated, then nodded. "I only got my powers a couple of weeks ago. My mom's human, but my dad—he was a Plumber. He gave me his badge before he…" His voice trailed off.
Ben handed him the badge, his jealousy fading as he saw the pain in Alan's eyes. "Here. You'll need this."

Meanwhile, outside the barn, Kevin and Reiko were cornered by the sheriff and his deputies.
"We know you've got Alan and his friends in there!" the sheriff barked.
Kevin crossed his arms, his smirk defiant. "Problem? Just me and my girl out for a drive."
The sheriff hesitated, his face reddening. "Oh, uh… never mind," he muttered, motioning for his men to retreat.
Reiko watched them go, raising an eyebrow. "What do you think?"
Kevin shrugged. "Plumber's kid. Alien ancestry. Makes sense why they're after him."
"I'm not an alien. I'm a Vessel," Reiko corrected.
"Whatever that means," Kevin replied, rolling his eyes.

The group regrouped at the edge of a valley, where strange crop-circle-like patterns etched into the ground led to a rising metallic tower. As the tower activated, the weather turned unnaturally cold, snow swirling around them.
Alan shivered, his Pyronite form barely keeping him warm. "This is wrong. That tower's feeding off something."
"You!" the sheriff shouted, pointing at Alan. "You built this to fuel your powers!"
"You need to calm down," Kuri said, stepping in front of Alan protectively. "He's not the bad guy here."
"They won't listen," Kevin muttered, absorbing a gun and breaking it in half.
"Oh, they'll listen to me," Reiko said. "Everyone, plug your ears."
Her comrades obeyed as Reiko unleashed a calming illusion, her voice carrying an almost hypnotic tone. "You feel calm. It's time to go back to the precinct. Alan is your town hero and a friend to all."
The sheriff and his men turned to leave, but their movements were halted as a group of DNAliens arrived, freezing them in place with energy blasts.

The group sprang into action. Kuri transformed into Miko, her priestess attire glowing faintly in the snowy air. Reiko summoned her Kitsune form, her blue kimono billowing as she summoned orbs of light.
Ben slammed down the Omnitrix, transforming into Swampfire. "Let's end this."
The DNAliens unleashed a barrage of ice attacks. Miko raised her hand, deflecting the blasts with a shimmering barrier of cold energy. "I've got this!" she called, freezing several DNAliens in place.
Swampfire melted through the icy assault, his fiery attacks carving a path toward the tower. "Kevin, take Kitsune and bring that thing down!"
Kevin and Kitsune ran toward the tower. Kitsune hurled glowing orbs at its base, while Kevin absorbed its metallic structure, destabilizing it.
As the tower crumbled, the weather began to return to normal.

Back in the field, Alan stood his ground against the remaining DNAliens, his Pyronite form blazing brighter than ever.
Miko deflected another attack, her energy waning. "Alan, you're amazing. You've got this."
Alan looked at her, his confidence bolstered by her words. With a roar, he unleashed a massive fireball, scattering the DNAliens.
As the fight ended, the sheriff and his men began to wake from their frozen state. Ben approached, placing a hand on Alan's shoulder. "You saved them. You're a hero."
Reiko smiled faintly, knowing her suggestion had helped the sheriff see the truth.
"So, Alan," Ben said, grinning, "wanna come with us?"
The sheriff interrupted. "He can't. We need him here."
Alan winked at Kuri. "Call me anytime. Especially you."
Kuri laughed, rolling her eyes as Ben glared. "Relax, Alien Boy," she teased. "You're the only hero I need."
Ben smirked, his jealousy fading as the group walked back toward the Rust Bucket, ready for whatever came next.
