"Ben, you were late for the mission and our date! Again!" Kuri said, her arms crossed as she glared at him in frustration.

Ben leaned back defensively, rubbing the back of his neck. "I know, I know. I just lost track of time."

"You need to manage your time more wisely!" Kuri said firmly.

"She's right," Reiko added, leaning against the Rust Bucket. "If Kevin and I can juggle everything, so can you."

"He's just lazy," Kevin muttered, crossing his arms.

Ben groaned. "Fine, I'll figure it out. You'll see."

The team was in the middle of a high-stakes mission against the Forever Knights. A strange energy device had been discovered in a remote warehouse, and the group was racing to stop it before it could be activated.

"Ben, we need you to disable the power source!" Kuri shouted as she deflected a laser blast with a flick of her hand.

"On it!" Ben yelled, slamming the Omnitrix dial. He twisted it, selecting Echo Echo, and transformed in a flash of green light.

As Echo Echo, Ben moved quickly, his sound-based attacks knocking several Knights off their feet. But as he reached the core of the warehouse, the defenses became more intense—more Knights, stronger weapons, and energy barriers blocking his way.

"I can't do this alone," Echo Echo muttered. He suddenly had an idea. "Wait a second… maybe I don't have to."

He braced himself and released a high-pitched sonic wave, splitting into three identical versions of himself. Each Echo Echo looked at the other, sharing a determined nod before charging forward.

The mission was completed in minutes—one Echo Echo disabling the power source, another holding off the Knights, and the third coordinating the strategy. When the dust settled, the three Echo Echos regrouped and merged back into one Ben.

As he returned to human form, Ben staggered, holding his head. "Whoa. Did I just… split myself?"

Kevin gave him a skeptical look. "Yeah, you did. Weird, even for you."

Reiko raised an eyebrow. "That was impressive, but… what if you split yourself in human form? Would you still be… you?"

Ben hesitated, glancing at the Omnitrix. "I mean… maybe? Only one way to find out."

Kuri crossed her arms. "Ben, no. That's reckless."

But before she could stop him, Ben twisted the Omnitrix and activated Echo Echo again. With another high-pitched wave, three identical Echo Echos appeared.

"I guess this is happening," one Echo Echo said.

"Let's give it a shot," another added.

The third Echo Echo slapped the Omnitrix, and in a green flash, the three Echos became three separate Bens: Battle Ben, Smart Ben, and Romantic Ben.

The next morning, Kuri woke to the sound of a knock on her window. She groggily pulled back the curtain to see Ben standing outside with a bouquet of flowers and a boom box held over his head.

"Ben?" she said, sliding the window open. "What's going on?"

"I thought we could spend the day at that secret garden you like so much," he said with a soft smile.

Her eyebrows shot up. "I told you about that in confidence."

"And I would never betray such a confidence," Ben said earnestly, handing her the flowers.

Kuri blinked in surprise. This wasn't like Ben—he was hardly the romantic type. Her suspicions deepened, but she decided to play along for now. "Alright, Ben. But tonight, when we deal with the Forever Knights, you're merging back together."

Ben chuckled, leaning in to kiss her cheek. "No need. The more of me, the better!"

Kuri sighed. He was still as arrogant as ever, just packaged differently.

Meanwhile, Reiko sat at the library with another version of Ben—one who was engrossed in a thick textbook.

"And the converse of the square is…" Ben said, trailing off as he scribbled in a notebook.

"Whoa," Reiko said, watching him work. "You've really been hitting the books."

Ben nodded enthusiastically. "Been at it all night! Did you know that when deconstructing pi, you can calculate—"

"Okay, okay!" Reiko interrupted, throwing up her hands. "I'll study hard too, I promise!"

At the same time, Battle Ben and Kevin were staking out another Knights' hideout.

"Alright," Kevin said, scanning the perimeter. "We wait and watch. No barrelling in this time."

But Battle Ben was already moving, his fists clenched and his face twisted in determination.

"Wait—Ben!" Kevin shouted, but it was too late.

Battle Ben charged headlong into the hideout, taking out several Knights with raw, brute force. His punches were wild, and his tactics were reckless, leaving him vulnerable to counterattacks.

One of the Knights raised a weapon, but Battle Ben showed no hesitation, disarming him with a vicious kick.

Kevin caught up, grabbing Ben by the shoulder. "What the hell, man? You almost got yourself killed!"

"They're bad guys. They deserve it," Battle Ben said coldly, shrugging Kevin off.

Kevin frowned, realizing something was wrong. "You're not yourself."

As the day went on, Kuri began to notice something strange about the Romantic Ben. While she appreciated his attentiveness, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing.

Her suspicions were confirmed when they passed a purse snatching on the street.

"Ben, look!" she said, pointing.

Romantic Ben shrugged, taking her hand instead. "You're more important than heroics, Kuri. Let someone else handle it."

Her eyes widened. "What?"

Before he could stop her, Kuri transformed into Miko, summoning her sword. She dispatched the thief in seconds, returning the purse to its owner.

When she turned back to Ben, she found him staring at her dreamily. "You're incredible," he said.

Kuri frowned, her concern growing. If Romantic Ben lacked heroism, what did that mean for the other two? She pulled out her phone and called Reiko. "Reiko, bring Smart Ben to the Forever Knights' castle. I think we have a problem."

At the castle, the three Bens regrouped.

"This splitting thing is great!" Battle Ben said, cracking his knuckles.

"No, it's not," Kuri said firmly. "You're incomplete. Romantic Ben, you're kind but lack the drive to be a hero. Smart Ben, you're brilliant but cold. And Battle Ben, you're fearless but reckless. You're not whole without each other."

Smart Ben adjusted his glasses. "Logically, she's correct."

Battle Ben scowled. "I don't need them."

"Yes, you do," Kuri said, stepping closer. "Because I don't love part of you—I love all of you."

Her words hit like a thunderbolt. Romantic Ben smiled softly, Smart Ben nodded in understanding, and even Battle Ben's expression softened.

As Kuri kissed each one on the cheek, the three Bens merged into a single, unified Ben.

With a green flash, the three Bens merged into one, the Omnitrix glowing brightly as the original Ben Tennyson stood before them. He blinked, looking at Kuri with a small smile.

"You said you love me," he teased.

Kuri rolled her eyes but kissed his cheek. "Don't let it go to your head."

The group stormed the castle, taking on the Forever Knights in an epic battle. Ben transformed into Four Arms, tearing through their defenses with ease, while Kuri and Reiko used their magic to disable traps and disarm the guards.

At the center of the castle, they confronted King Urien, who wielded a powerful energy weapon. Ben charged at him, deflecting the blasts with his armored arms, while Kuri and Reiko worked together to create a barrier around him.

With a final blow, Ben shattered Urien's weapon, sending the king fleeing into the shadows.

As they regrouped outside, Kuri turned to Ben with a grin

"I think I like you better this way," she said, smiling.

"Yeah? Me too." Ben grinned, his confidence restored. "But, Maybe splitting up wasn't such a bad idea after all. You liked Romantic Ben, didn't you?"

Kuri laughed. "He was alright. But I prefer you as a whole package."

"Barf," Reiko muttered, making Kevin snicker.

Ben ignored them, his gaze softening as he looked at Kuri. "Thanks for putting me back together. I guess I needed that."

"Anytime, Alien Boy," she said, smiling.

As the team climbed back into the Rust Bucket, Ben couldn't help but feel grateful. No matter how much he changed, he knew Kuri would always be there to keep him grounded—and whole.
