Kim Possible The day that Changed Shego
Chapter 1 Day Of The Incident
Kim and Shego are on the cliff fighting when they stopped for Kim to say something to the pale green villain. "You know what I hate?" She spoke with anger to her nemesis.
She look at the redhead with a wicked sneer. "That you boy friend melted." Was her response, holding her hands into fists. Ready to strike as soon as there was an opening.
Kim sneered back. She had some pent up anger at the realization that Drakken and Shego had play an evil trick on her emotions. "You!" She said as she spun around and kicked Shego off the cliff, right into the radio tower, that was controlling the little diablo toys.
When Shego made contact with the tower, it's cheap morning cable, that Drakken said he got at a bargain, began to snap. One after the other. The tower started to buckle, where the emerald eyed woman had hit it with her back, causing a power cable to break lose. The live power sent enough volts through it to electrocute anyone. And the villain woman was taking all of it, as she was being electrocuted.
The tower started to fold up and snap apart dropping it almost twenty feet. As the metal folded and snapped, Shego began to fall. She was hitting broken beam after broken beam. She felt her arm break in at least three places. She was sure she broke three ribs on that last beam she hit. Then a leg got caught in between two beams and snapped.
By the time she had hit the ground, she had dozens of cuts and bruises. Some of the cuts were deep and bleeding profusely. Some were shallow with only a little blood dripping out. Her left are was broken with a bone sticking out. Her left leg was about the same. Broken with a bone sticking out. Several fractured or broken ribs. One may have pierced one of her lungs. It was getting harder to breath. It hurt to breath in anyway.
Shego's eyes were black and blue and almost swelled shut. She could still see the steel girders laying around her and on top. There was no way for her to escape. Even if she could get through them, she still had to content with the physical damage to her body.
She was about to pass out from the pain. Her last thought was of the look she got from Kim. Anger mixed with rage. So much anger that it caused her to kick her off the cliff and right into the tower. As she stared to phase out, a tear escaped her eyes, how could she have been so stupid to not to get Drakken to tell about the drones. She didn't know that Kim's new boyfriend was nothing but one of his synthrodrones. And then she was out.
Kim was still standing on the cliff watching as the tower began to fall, taking Shego with it. It collapsed in a cloud of dust, keeping Kim from seeing what had happened to Shego. The look of anger, rage and satisfaction to leave her face, only to be replaced with fear. What if Shego died in the fall. To have killed her arch enemy was not something that would set well with her.
Now instead of being happy at winning the battle, and stopping Drakken. She was filled with trepidation that she might of killed someone. It's a thought she didn't want to deal with. She didn't think she could live with knowing she had killed someone out of anger. And now she needed to know for sure if Shego was dead, or alive.
The teen hero started to make her way down the the mountain, to try and see if they had found Shego yet. She would help with the search if needs be. She just had to know. She had to find out if what her actions had done to the pale green woman.
In a way, she admired Shego and her fighting style. She was just as good as Kim when it came to fighting. And it not like she wasn't a bad looking woman, her pale green skin did set off her emerald eyes though. And she always smelled so good when they were close together in combat.
What the hell? Did she actually have feelings for Shego. Those are things you would only notice if you really like someone. How could this be. She only dated boys. How could this be happening. But none of it mattered right now. She had to help find Shego and make sure she hadn't killed her.
When Kim arrived at the bottom of the mountain, she saw Drakken being carted away in cuffs and restraints. She saw Dr. Director watching as her men were searching for Shego. All of them looking in the wrong places. She ran to the red head spy to tell her what she knew. And then, help dig Shego out from under the debris.
Kim ran up to Dr. Director. "Betty!" She yelled out to the spy lady. "Betty, I know where Shego is. She's under what's left of the radio tower. It was my fault. I was mad and I kicked her into the tower, and it collapsed with Shego. I think she was electrocuted, and then the whole tower swallowed her up as it went down. We have to find her please? I need to know if she's alive or dead. I can't live with the fact that I've killed someone out of anger." She begged the woman spy.
"Calm down Miss Possible. You said she went down with the tower. Hmm. I don't know if even the great Shego could have survived that high of a fall. Much less with the debris falling on top of her. This might just be a recovery mission then one of rescue." She said to the teen hero.
Kim started to cry as Betty said those words. "Don't say that. If I killed her, I could never be a hero ever again. I can't live with myself if I killed someone, no matter what the reasoning is." She cried into her hands, shaking with fear with that thought.
"We will begin digging right away. Men lets come together over by what's left of the tower. We have information that Shego my well be at the bottom. So let's get digging. Wil, go see if we can get a crane in here to help move the bigger pieces of girders out of the way." Betty ordered, and everyone got busy forming a lines and started passing debris and piling if up at the end.
They worked for hours moving as much small debris as they could, before they need the crane to move some of the heavier stuff. Kim was in one of the lines the was moving down farther on the pile as it grew smaller. Suddenly Kim caught sight of something green at the bottom. She dug down deeper till she could make out that, it was indeed, Shego laying on her side under the pile. As soon as the last of the small debris was removed, the crane was pulled in to remove the last of the heavy stuff, that lay all around Shego, but not on her.
Kim was the first to reach Shego, who was laying as still as possible, not moving. The hero reached for her neck and felt for a pulse. It was there, but it was week. Eventually a litter was placed next to Shego, as the medics did everything they could to stabilize the very injured woman. They placed a neck brace around her neck to keep her head straight. then started to bandage what cuts they could see and then raced her to Upperton hospital, with the best trauma word in the tri state area.
Kim wasn't allowed to go with her because there was a debriefing that had to happen first. And as Dr. Director questioned Kim, she cried while answering some of the harder ones. She didn't want to be here, she wanted to go to the hospital and check up on Shego. She knew the pale woman didn't have anyone to be with her. Her brothers pretty much disowned her after the attitudenator events. Shego was about to tell Kim something she kept private and to herself. She wondered what it was. Maybe if Shego gets through this, she might finally tell the hero what it is.
Once the questioning was done, Kim ran to her car to head to the hospital. She had to check on Shego, to see if she was still alive. She was driving way too fast, but didn't care. She had to get to the hospital, and fast. She wanted to be there for if and when Shego came to so she could apologize to her for what she had done to her.
When the teen hero arrived at the hospital, she was on her phone to her mother. She was still tearing up explaining to her mother what had happened and how stressed she was to find out just how bad Shego was. She also need a change of clothes. Her mother told her she would meet her in the hospital with a change of clothes and to offer her daughter support for what she was dealing with.
As soon as she got to the hospital, she inquired about Shego, but only got the run around about, how she isn't family and they couldn't give her any information. But when Betty showed up and flashed her GJ badge and top security clearance, Kim could here just how bad of shaped the green villain was in. She also heard that the raven haired woman was in a coma. They then walked to Shego's room together to see the villain laying in bed with her left arm in a cast. Het left leg was also in a cast, and she had bandages all over her body.
When the Dr. Walked in to check on her, Kim asked how long Shego was going to be in a coma. His answer was less than encouraging. He said it was up to Shego at this point. She had lost a lot of blood through the various deep cuts. But she should make a some what full recovery. He wasn't sure, to be honest, if she would actually survive all the damage she had received.
Kim was devastated at hearing that. She asked if she could stay with Shego until she either, one wakes up, or two passes away. One way or another she had to be here for her. After all, it was her actions that brought Shego to this point. Injured and near death. When she got closer to Shego she could see the tube draining Shego's damage or collapsed lung. Which brought and tear to streak down her face.
She was a little relieved that the Dr. said it would be ok for her to stay. Someone should stay with her, at least so she wasn't alone. Dr. Director also volunteered to stay when ever Kim needed a break. So she could go home eat and shower. And then she would be back to take her spot next next to Shego. The hospital even moved another bed in the room so Kim had something to sleep on. She was here for the long haul.
When no-one else was left around, Kim sat next to Shego's bed. "Shego, I'm sorry about what I did to you. I hate the fact that I almost killed you. I hope you can hear me. I didn't mean it when I said I hate you. I don't hate you, I'm kind of in awe of you. I'm mean your a great fighter, we're almost equals. And if you survive I wouldn't mind sparring with you. Please don't die on me. I don't think I could handle your death on my hands. Please wake up soon. I miss talking to you, even if it is just our usual fighting banter. I...I think I might be feelings for you. I mean who wouldn't, with those gorgeous emerald eyes, you sweet smile, and your rocking body. Oops, did I say that out loud?" She asked no one in the room.
It wasn't long after that that Dr Anne Possible showed up with Shego's dr. When she was getting Kim some clothes around, she got a call from him for a consult on a particular pale green skin woman with raven hair. She knew who he was talking about. She told him she was actually on her way there as it was. And she would meet up with him there.
Once there Anne was on the elevator, she was on her way up to Shego's room. When it stop a floor short. When the door opened, it was Shego's dr. He step in the elevator and they continued on there way up. After leaving the elevator, they both walked into Shego's room.
Kim seen who was walking in and said, "Hi mom, hi dr. Stanten."
Both Anne and dr. Stanten look at each other. "Dr. Possible? I'm Dr. David Stanten. I guess you could call me the "head" dr. around here." He chuckled, not getting one in return. "Yes well Dr. Possible, I call because this young woman here is not acting normal for someone who is in a coma. Her brain activity is the same as someone who is waking and talking." He said, showing her the print out of her brain waves.
"Well that is odd." Dr. Possible said, looking at the activity. "Let's see, how about we check her eyes." The suggestion being that if Shego's eyes tried blinking, and closing, she would be faking a coma. When her eyes just stared ahead, with no movement and no reflex after, as if one was trying hard to wish the glare away. "Now, let's try a needle." She grabbed a needle and began to poke Shego in various sensitive areas. No response. "Well, either she's really skilled, or she's still comatose." She said, putting the needle back on the tray.
"Then, how do we explain this activity?" He asked seriously, not comprehending what the activity was all about.
"Well, maybe she's dreaming, or having a nightmare she can't wake up from?" Kim asked them both. Just suggesting something she thought off.
Anne looked at the scan again. "If this is a dream, or a nightmare, it must be a real hum dinger of one?" Anne said holding her chin. "At any rate, this activity isn't life threatening. She should calm down when it's over." Concluding her consultation.
"Oh, well, I see. But one problem with that." Dr. Stanten said, "Then she's been having this dream since she got here. We started the brain scan in the E.R. It's been like this since she's been here." He concluded, putting a pause on the two girls.
"I see." Anne had a shocked look for an expression. Not sure how this could be.
"I bet I know." Kim spoke up, realization on her face. "She's continuously reliving the towers collapsing in on her. Can you imagine the pain of all her bones breaking. I'd probably be in a coma too with that much pain."
"Now that could be a theory Kim. But if that is what is happening here, how do we wake her of from such a thing?" Dr. Possible asked, pondering to herself.
"It's simple, we let her heal at her own pace, be here for her when she wakes up. Even if she does hate me for what I did to her." Kim broke down in tears for what happen. She let her anger get the best of her. And now this was the price she paid.
Hugging her daughter, she listened as Kim told them what happen with Shego and her, what her last words were too her, and the kick that started the tower collapse. And now, as Shego laid there, how the guilt was now taking her over.
Dr. Anne stayed with her daughter till visiting time was over. When everyone else left, Kim stayed so she would be ¡with the green woman should she wake up in the middle of the night. No one wanted Shego to be alone, for fear of her waking up and freaking out. They needed someone who could handle the woman should she wake up and lite her hand up. Blasting at everything with her green plasma.
Only Kim could be there fast enough to react, should something like that happen, she could try to calm her down before she burned the place down. The teen hero sat down next to the unconscious pale woman. She held her hand and just talked to Shego softly. Hoping calming words would slowly resolve her extreme dream she was having.
"Shego, Shego, it's time to wake up now. You're going to be ok. You just need time to heal. I'm sorry for what I did to you. I hope you'll forgive me? I shouldn't have lost my temper like that. You shouldn't be laying here like this. You should at least be in jail, not comatose in the hospital." She whispered into the pale woman's ear as she slept. Hoping her soothing voice would help bring her out of her nightmares.
Nightmares she had created. She let her fiery red head temper final get the better of her. But the fact is, Drakken and Shego lead her along with the Eric synthrodrone. Messing with her emotions like that, was a new low for both of them. Oh Shego said she didn't know, but Drakken was terrible at keeping secrets. That how come they get caught so much. It's like as soon as he sees me, he starts spilling his entire plan to her.
Such was the life of dealing with her biggest nemesis of them all. And, well, not the brightest one either. Sure he had a lot of world domination plans. He had a few on how to get rid of her too. But, lets face it, none of hid plans would never have been feasible. Not by a long shot. Kim would have stopped him easily with Ron.
What'll happen when they graduate though. She's certain GJ wants her to come on board. And she's betting on getting into the world saving organization. But what'll happen to Shego when she comes too. Everyone know there will be a trial, and she'll go to prison too. But for how long, or, will she escape again. And then start stealing again or working for some other super villain. Time will tell. But for now, off to sleep. Tomorrow will bring it's own problems.
