Summary: A fortune teller by trade living in Cairo, Egypt, Avdol had an unfortunate encounter with the newly-resurrected DIO after he returned home to his shop. Having been warned by Joseph Joestar of who he is before, he barely escaped for his life when DIO tried forcing him to become his servant. After fruitlessly searching for his whereabouts four months later, Joseph's grandson, Jotaro Kujo, was able to discern where DIO is hiding. And so, driven by a desire to rid all forms of evil in the world, the newly-formed Stardust Crusaders journeyed around the world towards Egypt. The group eventually reached their destination and managed to kill DIO, though not before Avdol sacrificing his life for Polnareff and Iggy's sake.
Impossibly, in spite of being disentegrated to nothing, Avdol was revived back from the dead to become part of the seven-member bodyguard group to protect and ensure Franchouchou's safety. Now back to the living as a shambling corpse, he initially struggled to cope with the fact he became an undead similar to the likes of DIO, but he came to the terms of his undead status thanks to his fellow members assurance, on top of the fact he retained his humanity and morality. Thus, he strives to prove he's nothing like the monster who terrorized countless victims in his quest to rise above humanity and whom he escaped for his dear life.
