Hey, guys. Welcome to the new chapter of Avatar: The Blue Spectator Chronicles. I hope you guys will enjoy it...anyway, I don't own anything, except for my OCs, as the OCs Mako Yami and Okami belong entirely to 9655."

NOW LET'S GET ON WITH THE STORY!

{Book 1: Water-Chapter 11: Jet}

"Hey, guys, where are Momo and Fluffy?" Aang asked curiously as we see him and the others walking through a forest, trying to look for their pets as, elsewhere, we see Momo and Fluffy chasing a bug through the trees as, in their pursuit, they land on the ground to see a neatly stacked pile of lychee nuts and the Avatar Pets ran over to try and grab them, but got pulled into the air by a cage trap, joining two other caged animals as Team Avatar Spectator heard their panicking screeches and squeaks as they were quick to run towards the sounds of their screeches/squeaks and spotted their pets and two other animals in their cage traps hanging by rope on tree limbs.

"Hang on, guys!" Aang says while using his Airbending to fly to the top of the tree, jumping from trunk to trunk to get higher as he finds the traps' mechanisms, undoes them, and carefully lowers Momo and Fluffy to the ground from where Naxon, Mako, Katara, and Sokka are waiting as they open the trap together and the Lemur and Bunny run out of said trap and began eating the lychee nuts, acting as though nothing has happened as Naxon and Katara shared a bemused look while Mako rolled his eyes playfully as Sokka grunts in frustration and facepalms as, when Aang lands, he looks up to see the other two animals seemingly crying out to him for help. "All right, you too-,"

"This is gonna take forever." An annoyed Sokka says while throwing his boomerang to simply cut the animals free as they all landed on the ground and ran off as he then went over to inspect the traps. "These are Fire Nation traps. You can tell from the metalwork."

"Then we'd better pack up camp and get moving. Come on, guys, let go." Naxon says as everyone nods and goes back to their Campsite to pack up their stuff and are planning to place them onto Appa's saddle but are stopped by a stern Sokka.

"Uh-uh, no flying this time."

"What? Why wouldn't we fly?" A confused Aang asked as Sokka went over to take his sleeping bag out of the Avatar's hands.

"Think about it: Somehow Prince Zuko and the Fire Nation keep finding us. It's because they spot Appa, he's just too noticeable."

"What? Appa's not too noticeable." Katara says with a frown as a bewildered Mako turns to her.

"He's a gigantic fluffy monster with an arrow on his head. It's kinda hard to miss him." Mako says as the Bison yawns, and Aang goes over to comfort him.

"Not gonna lie, I agree with Sokka. No offense to Appa, but it's very noticeable to spot him in the air. I say that we continue walking to our next campsite on foot and if we get caught anyway, then we just go back to flying, simple as that." Naxon says as Sokka gives him a relieved look.

"Thanks, Naxon, at least someone here sees things as I do. Look, I know you all wanna fly, but my instincts tell me we should play it safe this time and walk." Sokka says as a bemused Katara leans forward at her brother and smiles.

"Who died and made you the boss?"

"I'm not the boss, I'm the leader." Sokka pointed out as Katara scoffed amusedly.

"You're the leader? But your voice still cracks."

"I'm the oldest, and I'm a warrior, so I'm the leader," Sokka says as Mako raises his hand.

"If it's any consolation, I legitimately thought that Sokka was the leader of Team Avatar Spectator because he's the one who usually comes up with the plans and tells us what to do."

"Oh, please, if anyone's the leader, it's Aang and Naxon. I mean, they are the Avatar and the Blue Spectator." Katara said as Sokka scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Are you kidding? No offense but Aang's just a goofy kid and Naxon is literally out of this world." Soka says as Aang is revealed hanging upside-down from Appa's right horn with his feet sticking out in the air.

"He's right."

"Besides, we can't be the leaders of the group because I'm an Alien, and Aang has been frozen in ice for one hundred years. Neither of us has any knowledge about this world or how it works, so we will be horrible leaders for the group, and as a Soldier from an Alien War, I can safely say that Katara can't be the leader of the group either because she is too driven by her emotions."

"Well, why can't Mako be the leader then?" An annoyed Katara asked as Mako shook his head.

"No, I'm too new to be the group's leader."

"So, it's decided, I'm going to be the Leader of Team Avatar Spectator. Now, my instincts tell me we have a better chance of slipping through on foot, and a leader has to trust his instincts." Sokka says as Katara rolls her eyes and crosses her arms.

"Okay, we'll try it your way, oh wise leader," Katara says sarcastically as Aang steps over and lands on the ground as he is now wearing a backpack with Momo sitting on the top.

"Who knows? Walking might be fun."

~{Avatar: The Blue Spectator Chronicles Intro!}~

"Water."

A man wearing Nothern Water Tribe clothes weaves a stream of water from the ground as he twirls it around him before thrusting it to the side.

"Shadows."

A woman, wearing Shadow Nation Clothing, could be seen twirling and dancing around, drawing up multiple shadow tendrils as she then tossed it over to slam it across the readers' faces.

"Earth."

A man wearing Earth Kingdom attire kicks the ground, bringing up a large rock as he punches it to smithereens.

"Fire."

A woman wearing Fire Nation attire crouches down as she summons hot flames from under her feet before leaping up as she does a spinning high-kick that spreads the fire around.

"Air."

A man, wearing Air Nomad clothing, lands on the ground gracefully, and he then proceeds to make a circular motion with his hands and summons a gust of wind as he forms it into a ball and throws it at the readers.

"Long ago, the five nations lived together in harmony." Katara's voice was heard as we saw a glimpse of each individual nation and people living in harmony. "But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked," Katara says as we see hundreds of Fire Nation ships invading other cities and burning them to the ground.

"Only the Avatar, master of all five elements, could stop them," Katara says as we see the Avatar standing on top of a pillar as he grins, and his eyes glow blue as he proceeds to perform multiple bending techniques at once. He started out by summoning a Tsunami, then splitting a mountain in half, generating giant torrents of fire by his hands and feet, summoning an air sphere around him that levitated him off the ground, and raising his hands as he summoned multiple giant hand-shaped shadow constructs. "But when the world needed him most...he vanished," Katara says as the Avatar suddenly vanished, and we fast forward a hundred years later, where we see the decimation left by the Fire Nation as they burned everything sight without mercy, not caring who gets in their way as long as they achieve victory in the war.

"A hundred years have passed, and there was no sign of hope of the Firebenders ceasing their attack, but that all changed when my brother and I've discovered a boy who fell from the stars, an alien soldier named Naxon Ecojifan," Katara says as we see her past self, and Sokka looking up in shock as an unknown object fell down from the sky and crashed down as they investigated the crash site, and were surprised to see a wounded Naxon came out of his ship as he crashed down on the floor, and Katara look down at him worriedly while Sokka stared at him suspiciously.

"Naxon explained to us about the war going on his own planet Elysium, and how the Ventis, a race of hostile aliens led by the great and powerful General Tes'lar, effectively dominated them," Katara says as we cue to space, where we see General Tes'lar commanding his Ventis army to take down the Detanons, who tried to fight back but were quickly overwhelmed as they were forced to retreat.

"But the Detanons haven't lost hope as Naxon and his uncle formulated a plan to prepare a base for the Detonans on Earth. Once the base is constructed, Naxon and his people will reunite to end their war once and for all." Katara says as we see the Detanons retreating to a large tower and run over to the escape pods while Naxon and Tarkal are formulating a plan. After agreeing with his uncle's plan, Naxon left for Planet CV-52, but not before giving one last somber look at his planet as he promised his people that he would come back and flew off.

"After explaining his backstory, we had agreed to help him and taken him in as one of our own. A few weeks after going on a fishing trip, my brother, my friend, and I have discovered the new Avatar, an Airbender named Aang." Katara says as we see her past self, Sokka, and Naxon finding Aang trapped in an iceberg as his eyes and tattoos were glowing brightly. "And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone," Katara says as we see Aang standing in a meadow with a grin on his face as he created an air sphere and jumped on it as he laughed and rolled across the meadow, but lost control as he crashed against a stone column and fell down.

"But luckily, he's not alone as Aang will get help from an old friend," Katara says as we see Aang standing on top of a mountain's peak, looking down at the four nations that he will be protecting as Aang feels a little bit nervous, but calms down as a blue glove was placed on his shoulder, and Aang looks up to see Naxon giving him a reassuring smile while wearing his Blue Spectator Armor as Aang smiled and grew determined as the Avatar and The Blue Spectator looks down at the five nations fearlessly, ready to face whatever danger comes their way.

~{Avatar: The Blue Spectator Chronicles Intro Over}~

"Walking stinks." An annoyed Aang says as we fast forward in time, and we see Team Avatar Spectator walking between the trees as they trudge along. "How do people go anywhere without a Flying Bison?"

"Well I don't know, Aang. Why don't you ask Sokka's instincts? They seem to know everything." Katara said sarcastically as Aang and Mako snorted amusedly and began laughing.

"Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!" Aang and Mako laughed loudly as Sokka rolls his eyes dryly.

"Ha ha, very funny."

"I'm tired of carrying this pack," Aang whined as Katara glared at Sokka.

"You know who you should ask to carry it for a while? Sokka's instincts." Katara sat as Sokka's eyes turned to her in irritation.

"Would you guys stop complaining already?" A scowling Mako says as Naxon nods in agreement and gives Katara and Aang a withering look.

"Yeah, this walk is so easy. You soft babies wouldn't survive with my War Group. We once had to walk halfway across the planet for weeks with hardly any breaks and only had enough food and water to last us a couple of days. We have only been walking for five hours, so stop whining like little bitches and deal with it." Naxon said sternly as Katara and Aang glared at him as a grateful Sokka smiled at him.

"Thank you, Naxon. Anyway, don't worry everyone, I know that you are all tired, I am too, but we should be close to our new campsite soon. Besides, the important thing is that we're safe from the..." Sokka trailed off while walking through the bush and spotted a Fire Nation Campsite with a lot of soldiers; most of them were seated or crouched near the fire with bowls in hand, and a couple of them sat close to the tents, which had the Fire Nation emblem on the door flap as one of these soldiers has a patch over his left eye. "...Fire Nation..."

"Run!" Mako ordered as Team Avatar Spectator was about to try and run away, only for a Firebender to block them off by setting the bushes behind them on fire. "We're cut off!"

"Sokka, your shirt!" A worried Aang says while pointing over at Sokka's shirt, which was set on fire as Katara thought quickly and used her Waterbeding to clear out the fire.

"If you let us pass, we promise not to hurt you...too badly," Naxon says with a cocky smirk on his face while reaching into his pocket to pull out his glowing Blue Spectator Coin as he held it up high into the air. "It's Morphing Time!" Naxon exclaimed while raising his glowing Blue Spectator Coin as a blue glow covered his body, and once it died down, we see that Naxon had transformed himself into his Blue Spectator Form as he and the others got ready to attack, only for a whooshing sound to be heard and the Eye Patch Soldier is knocked out by an unseen tranquilizer dart on his back as the gang were left surprised by this until they spotted a young man standing in a tall tree as he tosses his blowpipe and unsheathes two hook swords before jumping down to take down two soldiers on landing and then runs forward and takes down two more using his hook swords.

Standing before them is a 5'6-feet-tall, 16-year-old Boy with black eyes, shoulder-length poofy and wild brown hair, thin brown eyebrows, a small nose, a sharp chin, Tan Skin, a short yet muscularly slim build, and his outfit consists of a long-sleeved red shirt, a white belt wrapped around his waist, long baggy dark blue pants, and a pair of dark brown shoes as he also had a piece of hay in his mouth. His name is Jet, the leader of a Group of Refugee Earth Kingdom children who call themselves the Freedom Fighters as, when he was only 8 years old, he witnessed his parents' deaths at the hands of the Fire Nation soldiers known as the Rough Rhinos, and grew up to become a hook sword-wielding vigilante, possessing a burning hatred for the Fire Nation and going to extreme lengths to exact his revenge.

"Down you go." Jet says as Blue Spectator looks curious while Katara is amazed, Aang is shocked, Mako is bewildered, and Sokka is confused as another Fire Nation Soldier charges at Jet, but he is defeated by a mysterious warrior.

"They're in the trees!" A Fire Nation Soldier says as a young boy lands on top of the soldier and turns his helmet around to blind him before riding him around while laughing as another boy launches arrows at the soldiers while more boys come out of the trees as Team Avatar Spectator reacted quickly and Blue Spectator summoned his Trident while Aang held out his staff as they ran over to whack away multiple Fire Nation Soldiers with their weapons while Katara whipped away several Fire Nation Soldiers with her Waterbending as Sokka holds up his boomerang and yells as one of the Fire Nation Soldiers approaches him, but stops when Jet takes him down first with his hookswords.

"Hey, he was mine!"

"Gotta be quicker next time!" Jet says with a wink before running off as Sokka looks dismayed, and we then see a huge boy falling out of the trees and easily taking down two soldiers as Jet skilfully takes down one more, causing this soldier's spear to hit another soldier, who was going to battle Sokka, in the head, making that soldier also fall down.

"Man!" Sokka yelled angrily as Jet disarmed another soldier and ran up to Katara.

"Hey~,"

"H-Hi." A blushing Katara says as a distracted Aang looks around to see a now empty camp.

"You just took out a whole army almost single-handed."

"Army? Pfft, there were only like, twenty guys." Sokka says disdainfully as Naxon nods in agreement while reaching up to grab his helmet as he takes it off.

"Not to mention that he had help from his group." Blue Spectator says as Jet walks up to them.

"My name is Jet, and these are my Freedom Fighters. Sneers, Longshot, Smellerbee, The Duke, and Pipsqueak." Jet says as he gestures over to his teammates.

Standing before them is a 4'9-feet-tall, 14-year-old Girl with black eyes, shoulder-length poofy dark brown hair, thick dark brown eyebrows, a small nose, a sharp chin, Light Skin, a short slim build, and her outfit consists of a long-sleeved red shirt, a white belt wrapped around her waist, long baggy black pants, and a pair of black shoes. Her name is Smellerbee, a member of the Freedom Fighters who is proficient with bladed weapons such as the sword and knife as she also has a crush on Longshot.

Standing before them is a 5'6-feet-tall, 15-year-old Boy with black eyes, short black hair, thin black eyebrows, a small nose, a sharp chin, Light Skin, a muscularly slim build, and his outfit consists of a brown bamboo hat, a long-sleeved high-collared blue robe wrapped around his body, a pair of fingerless black gloves, a white belt wrapped around his waist, and a pair of black boots a black strap wrapped around his chest that contained his black bow and quiver that held a bunch of black arrows. His name is Longshot, a member of the Freedom Fighters as he is often taciturn, though his opinions are greatly valued by his peers as he is understood by his companions through his eyes and facial expressions, which indicate his thoughts and viewpoints on particular subjects, and in addition, Longshot is a very skilled archer, able to aim with extreme precision at enemies, even while upside-down or while using multiple arrows at once.

Standing before them is a 4-feet-tall, 8-year-old Boy with black eyes, short brown hair, thin brown eyebrows, a small nose, a sharp chin, Light Skin, a slim build, and his outfit consists of a silver helmet, a long-sleeved high-collared white shirt with green accents on it, long white pants with green accents, and a pair of black boots. His name is The Duke, an Earth Kingdom boy, who is the youngest and smallest of the Freedom Fighters as he is also close friends with Pipsqueak.

Standing before them is a 6'5-feet-tall, 16-year-old Boy with black eyes, short spiky dark brown hair, thick dark brown eyebrows, a big stumpy nose, a sharp chin, Light Skin, a tall muscularly stout build, and his outfit consists of a orange face helmet, a long-sleeved high-collared dark brown shirt with green accents on it, long dark brown pants with green accents, and a pair of black boots. His name is Pipsqueak, the largest and physically strongest member of the Freedom Fighters, who wielded a simple wood log in combat as he is also close friends with The Duke.

"Ha ha, Pipsqueak, that's a funny name," Aang says with a chuckle while pointing over at the Duke, who sniffs and points over at Pipsqueak as he looms over Aang in a threatening manner.

"You think my name is funny?" Pipsqueak asked in a low, growling tone of voice as Aang looked taken aback for a second before replying in an upbeat tone.

"It's hilarious!" Aang says as Pipsqueak, still looming forward with a frown on his face, suddenly starts laughing, and the others follow suit as a laughing Pipsqueak then pats the Avatar on the back in a friendly manner, though the hit is hard enough to knock Aang flat on the ground as the Duke stops laughing and looks down at Aang sprawled on the ground before his feet, face flat in the dirt, though when Aang raises his head and continues laughing, so does The Duke as we then fast forward in time and we see Freedom Fighters raiding the empty camp as Sokka feels a little uncomfortable when he see Smellerbee carrying weapons with her as Katara approached Jet by the tree.

"Umm, thanks for saving us, Jet. We're lucky you were there."

"I should be thanking you. We were waiting to ambush those soldiers all morning. We just needed the right distraction, and then you guys stumbled in." Jet says as Katara eyes Sokka disdainfully.

"We were relying on instincts."

"You'll get yourself killed doing that."

"To be fair, we would've been shot down by the sky by the Fire Nation, so we were going to confront them either way." Blue Spectator says while leaning against a nearby tree with his arms crossed as the Duke and Pipsqueak look through two barrels.

"Hey, Jet, these barrels are filled with blasting jelly."

"That's a great score."

"And these boxes are filled with jelly candy."

"Also good. Let's not get those mixed up." Jet says as Duke nods.

"We'll take this stuff back to the hideout."

"You guys have a hideout?" A surprised Mako asked as Jet nodded.

"Yeah, you wanna see it?"

"Yes, we wanna see it!" Katara says, very excitedly as Jet smiles at her, and we then fast forward in time as we see Team Avatar Spectator and the Freedom Fighters standing on the forest floor.

"We're here."

"Where? There's nothing here."

"Hold this." Jet says as he hands a skeptic Sokka a rope.

"Why? What's this do-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Sokka says before screaming in shock and fear as he is pulled up into the branches.

"Guys?" Jet asked while offering the boys three ropes as they shook their heads.

"We'll get up on our own." Blue Spectator says while crouching down and jumping up high into the air as Aang and Mako used their Airbending and Shadowbending to leap up into the trees as Jet turned to hold out his hand to the Waterbender.

"Grab hold of me, Katara." Jet says as Katara blushes and takes his hand, and they rise up through the tree together in a romantic setting as the duo comes to a landing on a wooden platform in the trees, and once up there, Aang is seen zip lining through the trees with Momo.

"Nice place you got!"

"It's beautiful up here," Katara said as Jet nodded.

"It's beautiful, and more importantly, the Fire Nation can't find us."

"Yeah, but they can easily burn down this place with their Firebending." Blue Spectator thought to himself with a big sweatdrop on his head as he didn't think that having your hideout be in the really flammable trees while having enemies that can produce fire is very a good idea.

"They would love to find you. Wouldn't they, Jet?" Smellerbee asked with a smirk on her face as Jet smirked back.

"It's not gonna happen, Smellerbee." Jet says as Team Avatar Spectator and the Freedom Fighters begin walking across a wooden bridge.

"Why does the Fire Nation want to find you?" Mako asked with a raised eyebrow as Jet shrugged cheekily.

"I guess you could say I've been causing them a little trouble. See, they took over a nearby Earth Kingdom town a few years back."

"We've been ambushin' their troops, cutting off their supply lines, and doing anything we can to mess with 'em," Pipsqueak says as Sokka is now seen comically hopping around trying to get past him.

"One day, we'll drive the Fire Nation out of here for good and free that town."

"That's so brave." Katara gushed as Sokka managed to get by Pipsqueak.

"Yeah, nothing's braver than a guy in a tree house..."

"Don't pay any attention to my brother," Katara says to Jet reassuringly as he nods.

"No problem. He probably had a rough day."

"So, you all live here?" Katara asked curiously as Sokka, who is being ignored comically, sank back behind them.

"That's right. Longshot over there? His town got burned down by the Fire Nation, and we found The Duke trying to steal our food. I don't think he ever really had a home."

"What about you?" Katara asked as Jet flinched and sighed somberly as he looked away.

"The Fire Nation killed my parents. I was only eight years old. That day changed me forever."

"Sokka and I lost our mother to the Fire Nation."

"I'm so sorry, Katara." Jet says sympathetically as we then fast forward in time and we see a cloud of cawing birds being disturbed due to Appa and Okami raising their heads with a loud roar and growl while Momo and Fluffy flew and bounced around them as, in the hideout, we see ropes with lanterns hang between branches and Sentries keep watch on several upper platforms while Team Avatar Spectator and the Freedom Fighters sits at a banquet table as Jet then stands on the table.

"Today, we struck another blow against the Fire Nation swine." Jet says as everyone cheers with Katara and Aang smiling, a still armored-up Blue Spectator merely takes another swing of his drink, Mako looks interested, and Sokka cops an attitude and a scowling face. "I got a special joy from the look on one soldier's face when The Duke dropped down on his helmet and rode him like a wild hog monkey." Jet says as a grinning Duke, without his helmet, climbs up the table and marches on the table with his arms in the air as everyone cheers again. "Now, the Fire Nation thinks they don't have to worry about a couple of kids hiding in the trees." Jet says as he prepares to take a drink from his wooden cup. "Maybe they're right," Jet asked rhetorically as a very loud and long boo is heard. "Or maybe...they're dead wrong." Jet says with a very angry glare on his face before going over to sit next to Katara as a loud and long cheer is heard.

"Hey, Jet, nice speech."

"Thanks. By the way, I was really impressed with you guys fighting earlier. That was some great bending I saw out there today."

"Well, the boys were great, especially Aang and Naxon because they are the Avatar and the Blue Spectator. I could use some more training." A blushing Katara says as Jet rubs his chin thoughtfully.

"So I might know a way that you, Mako, and Aang can help in our struggle."

"Unfortunately, we have to leave tonight," Sokka says as Naxon nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, it's too dangerous for us to stay in one place without any good reason."

"Guys, you're kidding me, I needed you and Sokka on an important mission tomorrow." Jet says with a fake dismayed look on his face as a dismayed Sokka and Naxon turn to him.

"What mission?" Sokka asked as we cue to the next day, and we see him, Naxon (Who had his helmet on), and Jet standing on the branches of the same tree placed in the forest as the Leader of the Freedom Fighters cups his hands and makes a birdcall as, several trees down, Pipsqueak and Smellerbee step into view from their branches and they reply with another birdcall as the Leader of Team Avatar Spectator then jams his jawbone knife into the trunk of the tree.

"What are you doing?"

"Shh, it amplifies vibrations."

"Good trick." An impressed Jet says as Naxon turns to his friend.

"Got anything yet?" Blue Spectator asked as Sokka put his ear to the handle of his knife.

"Nothing yet-Wait, someone's approaching."

"How many?" Blue Spectator asked seriously as Sokka turned to him.

"I think there's just one," Sokka says as Jet nods and does a bird call.

"Good work, Sokka. Ready your weapons." Jet says while pulling out his hookswords as Blue Spectator summons his Spectator Trident while Sokka takes his knife out of the tree as the duo is then surprised to see an Old Man wearing a Fire Nation Garb walking underneath them.

"Oh, wait, never mind, it's just an old man, stand down-Whoa!" Blue Spectator says with a sigh of relief before yelping in surprise as a furious Jet leaped to the ground in front of the traveler, and the duo watches with shock and horror as he uses one of his hookswords to knock away the old man's cane.

"What are you doing in our woods, you leech?!"

"Please, sir, I'm just a traveler!" The Old Man says fearfully while backing away, but when he tries to flee the way he came, he runs face-first into Pipsqueak's chest, and the force of the impact knocks him to the ground as the panicking Old Man tries to crawl away, but Pipsqueak's foot on his backside effectively pins him.

"Do you like destroying towns?! Do you like destroying families? Do you?!"

"Oh...please, let me go...have mercy..."

"Does the Fire Nation let people go?! Does the Fire Nation have mercy?!" Jet snaps down on him viciously as he is about to kick the man, but his foot is snagged by Sokka's club before it can be delivered as an angry Blue Spectator marches over to pull him back to face him and his friend as they glared at him angrily/disapprovingly.

"What the hell are you doing?!"

"Yeah, Jet, he's just an old man!" Sokka says as Jet narrows his eyes indignantly.

"He's Fire Nation! Search him!" Jet ordered as Pipsqueak held the prisoner, and Smellerbee stepped up to search the poor man.

"But he's not hurting anyone! You can't just randomly antagonize him like this!"

"What are you talking about, don't you want to defeat the Fire Nation?!" Jet asked, shocked as Naxon rolled his eyes with a scoff.

"Of course we do, but we don't want any innocent lives to get caught in the crossfire for that to happen!" Blue Spectator says as Sokka nods in agreement.

"Yeah, everyone knows that in wars, you don't kill innocent civilians! What you are doing is considered a War Crime, Jet!

"Have you forgotten that the Fire Nation killed your mother? Remember why you fight!"

"Don't you dare bring up my mother! You don't know anything about me!" Sokka snapped furiously while pushing him back as Jet was aiming to fight him but got stopped by Smellerbee as she walked over to them and held up the old man's bag.

"We've got his stuff, Jet," Smellerbee says as the old man is thrown back on the ground.

"So just because anyone is from the Fire Nation, they deserve death? Even when they have nothing to do with the war?" A glaring Blue Spectator says as Jet gives him a cold glare.

"We need to do anything to win this war. Now let's get outta here." Jet ordered while pushing past the duo as Pipsqueak and Smellerbee followed as Naxon and Sokka looked back at the old man still on his hands and knees in pity and righteous anger.

"...Hey, Mako, look what The Duke gave me." An excited Aang says while he and Momo are playing with the ziplines again as the Avatar leaps over to land in front of him and is wearing a bag as he pulls a small pellet from it, and with a sly grin, Aang tosses it next to Momo, where it explodes with a pop as he puffs up like a startled cat before hissing angrily and lunges for the bag as Momo sits on Aang's shoulder and started tossing several pellets at his feet. Aang dances about wildly. "Ow! Quit it!"

"Ha, ha, ha!" Mako laughed just as a glaring Blue Spectator, who had his helmet off, and Sokka appeared back onto the scene as Katara walked up to them.

"Hey, guys, is Jet back?"

"Yeah, he's back, but we're leaving." A stern Sokka asked as Aang raised an eyebrow confusedly.

"What?"

"But I made him this hat," Katara says with a pout while showing a cap made out of stitched leaves with a flower on top as Naxon glares at them seriously.

"Your boyfriend Jet's a thug, Katara. He beat and robbed a harmless old man."

"What? No way. You have to be lying." Katara says as Sokka shakes his head.

"No, he's not. I saw it too."

"I wanna hear Jet's side of the story," Katara says doubtfully while crossing her arms as we then fast forward in time and we see Team Avatar Spectator talking with Jet in a room.

"Sokka, Naxon, you two told them what happened, but you didn't mention that the guy was Fire Nation?" Jet asked while sitting on a hammock bed with Naxon and the others standing in front of him as Aang is wearing the hat Katara made; he looks absolutely ridiculous and goofy.

"No, they conveniently left that part out," Katara says with a firm glare on her face as Naxon rolls his eyes.

"We left that out because we didn't think it was important to mention that the Old Man was from the Fire Nation because beating up a harmless civilian is wrong, no matter what side they are on."

"He was an assassin, Naxon." Jet says while pulling out a knife and thrusting it into a nearby stump as it is a sinister-looking curved blade, and there are four spikes evenly spaced along the grip with enough space for fingers to go between them as there is a ring on the butt of the knife. "See? There's a compartment for poison in the knife." Jet says while pulling on the ring and removing a small glass tube filled with red liquid. "He was sent to eliminate me. You helped save my life, guys."

"I knew there was an explanation." A relieved Katara says as a suspicious Sokka crosses his arms.

"I didn't see any knife."

"That's because he was concealing it in his bag that we confiscated from him."

"But I watched you guys check his bag and there was no knife inside. That's it, we are out of here." Blue Spectator says with an angry huff as he and Sokka turn around to walk away.

"Tell me you guys aren't leaving yet. I really need your help."

"What can we do?" Aang asked as Jet gave them a serious look.

"The Fire Nation is planning on burning down our forest. If Mako uses his Shadowbending to locate the underground water, Aang and Katata can use their combined Waterbending to fill the reservoir, and we could fight the fires, but if you leave now, they'll destroy the whole valley." Jet says gravely as Aang and Katara look at each other nervously while Mako eyed him oddly as we then fast forward in time, and we see Naxon and Sokka packing up their stuff as the others appear.

"We can't leave now with the Fire Nation about to burn down a forest!"

"I'm sorry, Katara. Jet's very smooth, but we can't trust him." Sokka said stoically as Katara huffed and glared at him angrily.

"You know what I think? You're jealous that he's a better warrior and a better leader!"

"Katara, I'm not jealous of Jet. It's just that my instinct-,"

"Well, my instincts tell me we need to stay here a little longer and help Jet," Katara says with a scowl as she turns around to leave.

"Is that your instincts talking or your hormones?" Blue Spectator pointed out with a glare as Katara froze and fumed as she then stalked off, and Aang gave them an apologetic look and walked off as Mako turned to them.

"If it's any worth, I believe you guys."

"You do?" A relieved Blue Spectator asked as Mako nodded.

"Yeah, my instincts tell me that there is something off about Jet, and we won't stop until we figure out what is wrong with him," Mako says as Naxon and Sokka perk up and nod as we then fast forward in time and we see that it is nighttime as the full moon shines down on Appa and Okami, who are lying on their backs and snoring extremely loud as they sleep, and we cue to the Team Avatar Spectator's Hut as we see Sokka sleeping propped up against his still-packed gear while the others sleep in their sleeping bags.

"Let's go," Jet whispered off-screen as it woke up Sokka and went over to pull the door flap aside enough to see some of Jet's followers descending on the rope lines as the Leader of Team Avatar Spectator grabbed a rope line down to a lower branch, and on the ground below him, Jet's Freedom Fighters are quietly pushing the loaded wagon as Jet leads them out of the camp and Sokka stealthily follows them as, in the dark valley, upstream, and up toward the wall of the valley there is an old fall, and beyond that, is a man-made dam as a bare cliff off to the reservoir's left provides the view and Jet and his boys emerge from the forest as he goes to the edge and looks down on the dam below as the reservoir behind it is low. "Now listen, you are not to blow the dam until I give the signal. If the reservoir isn't full, the Fire Nation troops could survive."

"But what about the people in the town? Won't they get wiped out, too?" Duke asked worriedly as an empathetic yet emotionlessly Jet placed his hand on the Duke's shoulder.

"Look, Duke, that's the price of ridding this area of the Fire Nation." Jet says as he then turns to glare at Longshot seriously. "Now don't blow the dam until I give the signal. Got it?" Jet asked as Longshot nodded with Sokka watching incredulously from the bushes as he frowned, and heard rustling behind him just before Pipsqueak dragged him out by his wolf-tail as Smellerbee's knife was instantly at his throat.

"Where do you think you're going, ponytail?" Smellerbee sneered as it was now morning time, and we see Jet standing near the edge of the cliff as Pipsqueak and Smellerbee dragged a struggling Sokka towards him.

"Sokka, I'm glad you decided to join us." Jet says maliciously as Pipsqueak and Smellerbee send Sokka to his knees.

"I heard your plan to destroy the Earth Kingdom Town."

"Our plan is to rid the valley of the Fire Nation."

"There are people living there, Jet; mothers and fathers and children." Sokka pointed out as Jet stepped forward with a serious glare on his face.

"We can't win without making some sacrifices." Jet says as Sokka points an accusing finger at him.

"You lied to Aang, Mako, and Katara about the forest fire!"

"Because they don't understand the demands of war. Not like you and I do."

"I do understand just like how I understand that there's nothing you won't do to get what you want," Sokka says bitterly as Jet sighs disappointedly.

"I was hoping you'd have an open mind, but I can see you've made your choice." Jet says while snapping his fingers as Pipsqueak and Smellerbee go over to grab Sokka as, before he can even react, Jet has his wrist pinned with the hooks of his shuang gou as Sokka's other hand is forced behind his back. "I can't let you warn Naxon, Mako, Katara, and Aang." Jet says as he releases Sokka's hand, and it is immediately forced behind his back. "Take him for a walk, a long walk."

"You can't do this!"

"Cheer up, Sokka. We're gonna win a great victory against the Fire Nation today."

"But what's the point of winning a war if we can't live with ourselves afterwards?!" An angry Sokka asked before being dragged away by Pipsqueak and Smellerbee as, unknown to them, they were being spied on by a stoic Blue Spectator, and we then fast forward in time as we cue over to the riverside upriver from the dam, and we see the collected water behind it is much less than the larger cavity of the reservoir as the river leading to down to it is a thread compared to its 'rainy season' gully as Jet, Katara, Mako, and Aang are seen walking upriver along its west bank.

"Jet, I'm sorry about how Sokka and Naxon have been acting."

"No worries, they already apologized."

"Really?" A surprised Aang asked as he and Katara shared a bewildered look as Mako looked doubtful.

"Yeah, I was surprised too. I got the sense that maybe you talked to them or something."

"Yeah, I did," Katara says as Jet nods.

"I guess something you said got through to them. Anyhow, Sokka and Naxon went out on a scouting mission with Pipsqueak and Smellerbee."

"I'm glad that they cooled off. Sokka and Naxon can be so stubborn sometimes." Katara says as they are now walking in the gully beside the river as Aang pauses after noticing something strange and is launched into the air by a blast from the geyser he was standing on and lands down safely on the ground with his Airbending as Jet smirks.

"All right, we're here. Underground water is trying to escape through these vents. I need you guys to help it along." Jet says as the trio nods and we then fast forward in time as we see Aang and Katara stand on one of the many geysers in the gully while Mako stands behind them and uses his Shadowbending to locate the water as he tells them where it is and the lovebirds used their Waterending to have a big stream of water emerges from the hole as the Avatar and the Waterbender pull it to their height and send it towards the river where it continues to flow like a waterfall as the water quickly joins the river. "Yes, good job. This river empties into the reservoir. A few more geysers and it'll be full."

"Look, there's another steam vent," Aang says excitedly as he and the others walk off in its direction.

"Okay. You three keep it up, I'll go check on things at the reservoir." Jet says as he turns and walks away.

"When we're done, we'll meet you over there," Katara says as Jet stops in his tracks and sweats nervously.

"Probably better if you meet me back at the hideout when you're done." Jet says while resuming walking away as the trio bends the next geyser into another fountain, and we fast forward in time as we see that Aang, Katara, and Mako were able to make a dozen geysers flow into the river.

"Okay that's enough," Mako says as Katara perks up and turns to him.

"Let's catch up with Jet at the reservoir."

"I thought we agreed to meet Jet back at the hideout," Aang says as Katara shrugs.

"Well, we finished early. I'm sure he'll be happy to see us." Katara says as we then cue to another part of the forest, and we see Pipsqueak and Smellerbee following Sokka, who has his hands poorly tied behind his back as Blue Spectator can be seen bouncing between trees to catch up with them.

"Come on, move along!" Smellerbee ordered while giving Sokka a shove as he strumbled but remained on his feet and turned to glare at them.

"How can you stand by and do nothing while Jet wipes out a whole town?"

"Hey, listen, Sokka, Jet's a great leader. We follow what he says, and things always turn out okay." Pipsqueak says as it was only now that Sokka noticed that Naxon was hiding in the trees, and gestured at him to keep quiet as he nodded subtly.

"If that's how Jet leads then he's got a lot to learn," Sokka says just as Blue Spectator dropped down to land on top of Pipsqueak's head, knocking him out as a surprised Smellerbee whirled around to try and stab him in the chest reflexively with her knife, only for it to break off due to his armor as Naxon then delivered a mighty kick to her chest, sending a grunting Smellerbee flying over to crash against a tree and then falls down into the floor as she grew unconscious. "Thanks for the help, Naxon," Sokka says while easily breaking apart the worthless bindings around his hands as Naxon nods.

"You're welcome. So do you want to save Aang and the others or what?" Blue Spectator asked as Sokka hummed thoughtfully and grinned slyly as we fast forward in time and we see Katara, Aang, and Mako standing on the edge of the cliff as, at the base of the dam, four of Jet's people were unloading barrels from the wagon and arranging them.

"What are they doing?"

"Hey, those are the red barrels he got from the Fire Nation," Mako says as Katara raises an eyebrow confusedly.

"Why would they need blasting jelly?" Katara asked as Aang's eyes widened in shock and horror.

"Because Jet's gonna blow up the dam."

"And if he does that, Jet can destroy the entire town, killing everyone inside," Mako says as a stunned Katara covers her mouth in surprise and worry.

"I've gotta stop him," Aang says while reaching behind him to grab his staff and run forward as, before he can reach the edge, Jet crosses his path from behind and snatches the glider as the Avatar is left wobbling precariously on the edge, and uses his Airbending to get himself back on stable footing as Jet turned to glare at them stoically and a tearful Katara turned to him.

"Jet, why?"

"Katara, you would too if you just stopped to think. Think about what the Fire Nation did to your mother. We can't let them do that to anyone else ever again."

"This isn't the answer!" Katara snapped as Jet sighed heavily.

"Look, I want you to understand me, Katara. I thought your brother would understand, but-,"

"What did you do to my brother?!" A tearful and grateful Katara asked while sending Jet flying away with the water from her waterskin as she drew it back into the skin when she was done.

"Aang and I will go to the dam after we are done with Jet," Mako says while he and Aang glare over at Jet, who rushes over to swing the swords at them as Mako jumps to the left while Aang somersaulted backward to avoid the extra reach as he finishes his retreat in a nearby tree and Jet hooks the branch and pulls himself up as he attacks Aang, who defends himself with balls of air, which the Leader of the Freedom Fighters dodges and then attacks head on, but Aang blocks with his arms and sends his opponent flying into a tree trunk with an air kick as a furious Jet then combines his swords again and advances as the Avatar avoids the flail-like move and sends another air blast as Jet stoops down and lets the airflow over and past him before lunging as they continue the chase through the many levels of the forest and Jet catches up to Aang and sends them both freefalling, attacking as they go as the duo ended up on a branch and the Leader of the Freedom Fighters continues his attack and the Avatar avoids it all as he then hits him with a jetstream of air and Jet falls as he recovers, but loses the glider in the process as, before Aang can get to the ground, Jet kicks him into a trunk and he lands with a thud next to his glider.

"Ugh..." Aang groaned in pain as a small tributary flowed past him and was slow to get up as Jet landed on the ground and ran over to attack him, only for multiple shadow tendrils to pop out of the ground, and his hookswords were stolen by Mako as an angry Katara ran forward and hits him with a large water strike as she then uses water from the river to throw Jet against the trunk of the tree repeatedly and the force of the water plasters him against the trunk as the Waterbender then freezes Jet from toe to neck.

"Why, Jet? I can't believe I trusted you. You lied to me, you're sick and I trusted you." A tearful and grateful Katara says just as a birdcall is heard, startling the trio and looking to the valley beyond where it's coming from as Jet gives an answering birdcall.

"What are you doing?" A scowling Mako says as Jet grinned sinisterly.

"You're too late."

"No!" A horrified Katara says as Mako turned to her.

"Don't worry, Naxon and Sokka are still out there, they are our only chance."

"Come on, guys, I'm sorry that I ever doubted you both, please." A pleading Katara says just as a stoic Longshot pulls back his bow as he has a flaming arrow on the string and takes aim as the Archer then fires the arrow, and it arcs down to the base of the dam as the center of the dam explodes in a cloud of smoke and fire as Team Avatar Spectator watched on a massive wall of water goes into the town, which was empty except for the occasional barrels and the Cabbage Merchant's cabbage cart as the water rushes through the open gate and a cresting wave dwarfs it as the wall and gate are swallowed as the wave strikes the town as the flotsam carried away includes a smiling doll in a purple dress.

"Sokka and Naxon didn't make it in time." A somber Aang says as Katara teared up.

"All those people...we helped kill all of them...and it's your fault, Jet!" An angry Katara yelled as Mako nodded and pointed at him aggressively.

"You are a monster! A murderer!"

"This was a victory, guys. Remember that. The Fire Nation is gone and this valley will be safe." Jet says before his eyes bugged out in shock as the rest of Team Avatar Spectator appeared as they rode around on Appa.

"It will be safe, without you," Sokka says firmly as Katara and the others are overjoyed and relieved by the sight of them. "Naxon and I were able to warn the villagers of your plan, just in time."

"What?!" An outraged Jet asked as Naxon nodded.

"At first, they didn't believe us. The Fire Nation Soldiers assumed that Sokka and I were spies, but luckily, one man vouched for us, the old man you attacked. He urged them to trust us, and we got everyone out in time." Blue Spectator says as an embittered and resentful Jet berates Naxon and Sokka with strong animosity.

"Naxon, Sokka, you fools! We could've freed this valley!" Jet says as Aang and the others make their way up to Appa's saddle as Sokka prepares to fly.

"Who would be free? Everyone would be dead."

"You traitors!" Jet says while contorting his face with spite as Sokka's face shows a little sympathy to Jet.

"No, Jet. You became the traitor when you stopped protecting innocent people."

"Come on, guys, get me out of here before the townspeople show up! They will kill me if they find out the truth! I... I didn't mean to-,"

"No. Of course not. It's always someone else's fault, isn't it? It makes it so much easier to justify your own atrocities. You're not a hero. You're just another thug." Mako says with a serious glare on his face as Naxon narrows his eyes stoically.

"We won't kill you, but we don't have to save you. Let's roll."

"You're seriously leaving me here to die?" Jet asked with a shocked look on his face as Mako shrugged.

"Oh, we're just leaving. Whether you die or not, we really don't care."

"Come on, Aang, your the Avatar, are you okay with this?" Jet pleaded as Aang sighed somberly.

"Yeah, pretty much. I mean, you did almost kill an entire town just to get rid of a few Fire Nation soldiers. That is pretty much unforgiveable, not as much as the Fire Nation destroying an entire nation, but still, this is up there."

"Bottom line is that you have to suffer the consequences of your actions, Jet. Goodbye." Blue Spectator says as Sokka gives Appa's reigns a flick.

"Yip yip," Sokka says as Team Avatar Spectator then flies off, leaving a frozen Jet to his fate as we see the gang flying through the skies at high speeds.

"We thought you were going to the dam. How come you went to the town instead?" A curious Mako asked as Katara grinned slyly at Sokka.

"Let me guess, your instincts told you."

"Hey, sometimes they're right."

"Um, Sokka? You know we're going the wrong way, right?" A bemused Aang asked as Sokka was surprised but quickly recovered as he blushed sheepishly.

"And sometimes they're wrong, which is why I want you guys to not always agree with me and express your own opinions and plans, but also treat me with respect as the Leader of Team Avatar Spectator. Deal?" Sokka asked as Naxon and the others nodded as Appa then whirled around to fly off in the opposite direction.

And done. I hope that you guys enjoy the chapter, and I can't wait to write the next one.

Anyway, as always, I will catch you all later.
