Caelus was on a roll today. Robin could feel it in the air—that subtle yet unmistakable energy that spelled trouble. She should have known when he showed up at her door with that lopsided grin, the kind that promised nothing short of chaos.

The two of them were an unstoppable mix whenever they went out, a blend of sticky antics and sugary sweetness that left everyone else either smiling or rolling their eyes. Today, though, Caelus seemed especially bold. Robin tried to keep her composure as they strolled through the park, but the moment his hand brushed against hers—casually, as if it were no big deal—she nearly jumped.

"What do you think you're doing?"she stammered, pulling her hand away as if it had touched lava. Her cheeks flushed a dangerously pink hue.

"Hmm?"Caelus tilted his head innocently, the picture of mischief incarnate. "Oh, nothing. Just holding hands with my best friend. Isn't that normal?"

Robin glared at him, but without much bite."Normal people don't just do that out of nowhere!"

"But it's cute,"he said with a devilish grin. Before Robin could react, he grabbed her hand again, this time interlocking their fingers as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Robin's brain short-circuited. Her face turned so red it probably matched the roses blooming along the park path. She wanted to pull away, yell at him, but the warmth of his hand against hers kept her rooted in place.

Caelus was insufferable. Insufferable and… far too charming for his own good.

Robin tried to steady herself, but Caelus was relentless. As they walked, he would occasionally lean close, his breath brushing against her ear as he made some teasing remark. Robin barely registered half of what he said—her mind was too busy running a marathon of mortification.

Then came the stolen kiss.

It happened so quickly she almost didn't register it. They were standing by a vending machine when Caelus suddenly leaned in and gave her a light peck on the cheek, as soft as a feather's touch. It wasn't until he stepped back, smiling smugly, that reality hit her.

"You…!"Robin pointed a trembling finger at him, her voice an octave higher than usual."You can't just—"

"Relax, Robin,"Caelus said, clearly enjoying her meltdown."It's just a kiss on the cheek. Friends do it all the time."

Robin opened her mouth to argue, but no words came out. She might as well have had steam coming out of her ears. Friends? What kind of"friend"did things like this?!

Determined not to let him win, Robin squared her shoulders."Two can play this game,"she muttered under her breath, fists clenched. If Caelus wanted to mess with her, she'd show him she could fight back. Well… sort of.

The opportunity came near the end of their park adventure. They had wandered into a quiet alleyway shaded by overhanging trees. Caelus was rambling about something—probably another silly prank idea—when Robin decided it was now or never.

"Caelus,"she called, her voice unexpectedly firm.

He turned to her, eyebrows raised."What's up?"

Before she could overthink it, Robin grabbed his arm and pushed him against the nearest wall. Caelus let out a surprised "oof" as his back hit the brick surface. Robin planted her hands on either side of him, trapping him. She leaned in close, trying to look confident even though her legs felt like jelly.

"W-Who's nervous now, huh?"she said, her voice trembling. Inside, she was screaming. What was she doing?! This wasn't like her at all.

Caelus blinked, , slowly, a sly grin spread across his face."Robin… are you trying to be seductive right now?"

"I—!"Robin's brain flipped upside down."No! I mean, yes! I mean… ugh, shut up!"Her face was crimson, and her heart felt like it was going to explode. She tried to hold her ground, but the embarrassment radiating off her in waves was impossible to hide.

Caelus chuckled, his golden eyes glinting with amusement."You're adorable, you know that?"

Robin groaned, burying her face in her hands. This was a disaster. Why had she thought she could beat him at his own game? She was about to back away when she felt a gentle hand on her wrist. Peeking through her fingers, she saw Caelus smiling—not with his usual mischievous grin, but something softer.

"Hey,"he said quietly. "You're doing great."

Robin blinked. "What?"

Before she could process what was happening, Caelus leaned forward, brushing his lips against hers. The kiss was brief but sweet, leaving Robin completely speechless. When he pulled back, he was the one blushing now, his cheeks dusted with pink.

"There,"he said, scratching the back of his neck."Now we're even."

For a moment, neither of them said anything. Robin was too busy replaying the kiss in her head, while Caelus avoided her gaze, suddenly shy.

Then Robin started laughing.

Caelus looked at her, confused. "What's so funny?"

"It's just…"Robin wiped away a tear. "I can't believe it ended like this! You're supposed to be the bold one, and now you're blushing like crazy!"

Caelus pouted. "Hey, I can blush too."

Robin grinned, regaining her confidence. "Aw, is someone embarrassed? Poor Caelus."

He groaned, covering his face with his hands. "This is the worst. I'm never going to hear the end of this, am I?"

"Nope,"Robin said, her laughter turning into a warm smile. She reached out, intertwining her fingers with his again, this time on her own terms. "But… thanks."

Caelus peeked at her through his fingers. "For what?"

"For putting up with me,"she said softly. "And for making everything so… fun."

Caelus lowered his hands, his expression softening. "Anytime, Robin. You're worth it."

Robin's heart skipped a beat at his words, but she quickly covered it up with a playful shove. "Okay, don't get all mushy on me now."

Caelus laughed, pulling her into a surprise hug. "Too late."

Robin rolled her eyes, though she couldn't help but smile as she leaned into him. Maybe having a sticky, chaotic relationship wasn't so bad after all.
