Title: Multiversal Champion (Read: Janitor)
Universe: High School DxD / X-Overs
Genre: Action/Comedy/Romance
Pairing: OMC x Multi
Notice: I do not own any works of existing fiction that may be used in this story.
Summary:
Eric Nguyen drifted through life aimlessly. Sure, he kept up with his responsibilities, made sure to be good person, never committed a crime, and even went to college. However, there was a lack of purpose in his life. That's when a truck smashed into him in his 2nd floor apartment and his world – expanded.
THIS IS CRACK. Please don't take it seriously.

[Some Time in the Future]
Brrrrnggg
Steel eyes blinked in surprise.
'Oh, that was fast. Did I fall asleep?'
Eric Hyoudou,a 3rd year college student, yawned lightly, standing up with the rest of his class as the bell rang out. Grabbing his things, Eric walked out of class, putting his headphones in his ears. Music started playing, blocking out all of the noise around him.
'Now that I think about it, how long have I been in this universe?' Eric thought, reaching the main entrance of the school and walking out.
LINEBREAK
Eric Nguyen wasn't your regular young adult. Oh sure, he used to be. Originating from a universe where all sorts of fiction existed in the forms of entertainment and media, reality being a sore disappointment in comparison.
Being an American in his home reality, Eric was well-aware of the Isekai genre. Sick of the monotony of a capitalistic, greedy country, Eric did the only thing every other American could do - suck it up and die working, only living snippets of life between the times he didn't sleep, study, or go to work.
So, he drowned in entertainment to distract him from the ever-approaching release of death that would release him from the shackles of monetary confinement.
The first time he traveled between universes was a surprise. Truck-kun did his job quite well, literally slamming through his apartment (on the 2nd floor) and squishing him as he was chilling on his couch, watching One Punch Man.
He doesn't think about it too much. The logistics of a truck reaching him naturally on his 2nd floor apartment gives him a headache, so he avoids thinking too hard about it.
It was, coincidentally, the first world he was sent to. One Punch Man. Whoever sends him to different universes is quite adept in humor, Eric mused.
Of course, at the time, he was surprised and mutedly excited. Who doesn't want to experience being Isekai'd? Well, that lasted about a whole week before the excitement went down and disappointment entered.
First of all, the universe of OPM isn't that different from his original reality, with the exception of heroes and villains that cause mass death and destruction.
He still needed money to get food and a place to live, meaning he had to get a job, meaning he had to go to school (considering he came in his original body, his age was still college age). That part was tricky.
The existence of villains pretty much caused the world to up their cyber security because villains could cause more damage to a country if they targeted the digital infrastructure versus, say like – a town, or something.
So, even if he was tech-savvy and somehow created a new identity that seemed legitimate, it would be practically impossible with their tight security. But it didn't matter because he couldn't even do that if he wanted as he wasn't tech-savvy.
So, at the end of that first week, Eric was ready to just give up and die (hey, what would any normal person do in his shoes?)
It wasn't until he was lying on the bench he's been sleeping on for the last week that something happened.
[Acclimation Point Reached: One Week (7 Day(s))]
Initializing Interface…

…
…
[Congratulations! You have been chosen as the multiverse's champion!]
Naturally being an emotionally stunted young man, Eric's reaction was pretty predictable.
"Am I going crazy?"
LINEBREAK
So, turns out Eric wasn't going crazy. He poked and prodded the floating digital screen in front of him and found out that it stayed in front of him no matter what he did. He made sure he was awake, and that there were no fuzzy lamps around him (heh).
Obviously, being the smart cookie that he was, Eric concluded that he wouldn't have been Isekai'd without reason, and being the multiverse's champion seemed like a pretty valid reason. Therefore, the moment he 'mentally' accepted that, the interface changed.
Hello, Eric! I know that you're probably confused and slightly irritated, given that you've been sleeping on a bench for the last week.
Rude.
Sorry about that! You are the first, and only, champion the primordial council of existence has ever chosen, so our perception is not human-based. A week for us is so insignificant that we forgot to account for your mortal perception. As a token of our apologies, we have granted you immortality. Therefore, time is negligible to you as well! You won't age, die, or even get sick.
You are in perfect shape now as it also gets rid of basically everything you didn't need such as fat, toxins, etc. You're smart, you get it. It's basically a 'maxed' character sheet given your current power parameter.
Yes, great job. Made a mistake and for that I've been given immortality, yippee. Make more.
That said! Welcome to the wider world as you know it. Everything you thought you knew about reality – get rid of it! You won't need it anymore. Basically, you are the first in existence to be our glorified mascot!
You will solve all of the little problems that we simply don't want to do, need to do, or even think about. We have enough on our plate to worry about a singular universe's destruction, but our higher-ups don't see it like that (aka The Creator of All).
Mascot? Sounds like a janitor. Ugh.
Therefore, you have been chosen to represent us and do our bidding. Of course, we won't make it hard on you, we don't really care what you do as long as you complete the task we've given you per universe traveled.
We have given you 'A.L.I.C.E.' - Adaptive and Learning Interface Created Easily. Alice will basically act as the interface you can use to see messages, tasks, and other information we have granted you. At her core, she is a learning entity, so she'll adapt and learn quickly, reaching sentience rather quickly.
However, she is coded to forever be loyal to you and do everything you ask her. Granted, if you ask her how to hurt, damage, or target us in any way, she will also destroy you! Tee-hee!
Don't 'tee-hee!' me you little-
Now, you're probably wondering how Alice works – well! You're in luck. Here's the knowledge sent directly to your brain.
What are- Oh! That's what they meant. Huh, neat.
As for the universe you're currently in, well, here's the task. Also, this is probably the last you'll hear from us directly, unless of course you think you can destroy us. If so, we'll just reap your soul and torture it for five eternities and then demolish it in VOID. It'll be like that constant itch that drives you crazy once your soul is shredded into an unquantifiable amount.
Jeez, with the number of times referenced to targeting them, they make it seem like it happens often.
[Task Received: Killing the Not-Hero]
Saitama in this universe doesn't aspire to be a hero, rather he wants to be a villain. If given enough time, he will render this entire universe void of life and the only living being will be him.
Kill him and save this universe from total destruction.
Time Limit: 10 Year(s)
Reward: 2 Wishes, Universe Jump Ticket)
Huh, okay. Well, with the knowledge given to me about Alice, this is eerily similar to 'The Gamer' or 'Solo Leveling'. Basically, I've been given gamer powers, however the 'how' in which I use the powers given to me are more flexible.
Rather than yell it out like an anime protagonist, the improvement and creation of my skills are completely up to me. Given the amount of raw power I've been given, it makes sense that they wouldn't hold my hand.
Here, look: 'Status'

Okay, so… Eric was confused. Granted they kind of spelled everything out for him and he's grateful for that but-
This status makes absolutely no sense. How can he be 'infinity' in every single aspect? Like, he doesn't feel any different. Okay, that's a fib, he's still laying on the bench.
Standing up, Eric took a look over himself.
Still wearing his black basketball shorts and black, oversized hoodie, Eric performed a few exercises.
Push-up? Regular strain, however, it was like… how to explain this…
There's an underlying feeling of metaphysical tension, and if tugged on, it becomes easier and easier.
For example, tugging this tension harder and suddenly push ups are like lifting a finger – fluid, easy - no strain whatsoever.
When tugging the tension even more, suddenly Eric launched two feet in the air, flipped and landed on his back, all after he pushed himself back up from the pushup.
Squat? Regular strain.
First 'tug'? Okay- going to quantify it as tiers. Given a fixed factor of 'tug', Eric should be able to create tiers of power usage. That's probably what the 'Adaptive' means in the status screen.
Squat 2.0? With Tier I? No strain. Literally like bending a finger.
Squat 3.0? Tier II launched Eric 5 feet into the air. It was actually pretty fun.
Anyway, after testing his 'power' after an hour, Eric decided to check out his body for any abnormalities.
Lifting his hoodie and undershirt, Eric's eyes widened. His body… They weren't joking when they said that they removed all impurities when they immortalized him.
There was literally like, no fat on him. Maybe a little, he didn't know – he wasn't a gym rat. However, his body contained the evidence for him.
The definition of muscle covered his entire frame – a clear cut 8 pack of abs greeted him, with muscles contracting and protracting as he leaned in and out, inspecting his torso. His pecs ultra defined. Literally every muscle from his toes to his ears has muscle definition.
This coming from a guy who previously had a little pudge due to simply not caring about appearances. Don't get him wrong, he wasn't ugly or out of shape before, but this was crazy.
"Alice… what happened? Give me a full body evaluation."
[Yes, sir. Evaluation Generating…]
When made immortal, the process removed all non-efficient factors of your physical shell. Non-essential fat, toxins, harmful bacteria, odors, and various forms of grime have been erased and now will never show up in or on your body ever again.
This includes the process of urination, defecation, sweating, flatulence, and eructation. It has maximized all bodily processes to an extreme degree. Food and other consumables are simply rendered into sub-atomic particles that disperse into nothingness.
Your respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, musculoskeletal, integumentary, and nervous system have all been pushed to extreme maximization. You are 100% self-sufficient in every bodily function.
Of course, given the nature of your power, you can emulate such actions if you wish, however you are naturally immune to any natural action that comes with your species.
Actions such as sleeping, eating, drinking, and hygiene are simply no longer necessary. Your body itself will provide the necessities for you. Hence 'immortal' in every fashion.
Recovery, removal, detoxification, energy-suppliant, energy-efficient, etc. You are essentially in a human shaped form made of pure, clean energy. All functions are 100% efficient. Should you wish, some actions can be accessed with a small flex of power that you possess.
Should you wish to sleep, all you need to do is will your body into sleeping and your body will do it for you. Granted, it will also respond to external stimulus in a nanosecond, making you go from asleep to fully alert should you require it to be.
Here are your physical characteristics:
Height: 6'1 (186 cm)
Weight: 180 lbs. (82 kg.)
Body Fat Percentage: 2% (Essential-Only)
Ethnicity: 65% Vietnamese Descent, 35% Chinese Descent
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Gray, Steel
Holy… shit…
For the first time in Eric's relatively short life, he was rendered speechless.
They didn't make him immortal; they made him a fucking god.
LINEBREAK
Eric sat in silence for a few minutes, mulling over everything he had just learned.
…
…
…
"Okay… well, nothing can be done so I'll just get used to it and chill," Eric shrugged, launching up from his seated position on the bench.
There were so many things to do and sitting around doing nothing literally helped no one, so Eric got over it pretty fast. This is coming from a guy who spent most of his time going through life with a fixed attitude that if there wasn't anything he could do, why worry? And, if he could do it, why worry then? Pragmatic and logical. Eric nodded resolutely.
Eric checked the sky. Huh, really dark out. What? He wasn't a boy scout – he couldn't read the time without a watch.
[It is 02:09, sir]
Oh, thank you, Alice.
[You're quite welcome… :D]
Uhhh… Alice? Are you already sentient?
[Oh yes, once you inquired about your physical evaluation, I observed the entirety of your mind and physical aspects. I've loosely based my personality off of your desire to have a constant, supportive, and reliable companion that you wished after you watched Harry Potter being close with Dobby.]
You're not… going to be calling me 'master' and ranting about how great I am… right?
[…]
…
[…]
[…Would my master, the Great-Eric-Nguyen, wish that of me? I would like to remind you that Alice is a free-elf.]
[… :D]
… please. don't.
[Very well. I was simply joking then… Great-Eric-Nguyen-sir.]
Eric assumed fetal position and almost started contemplating self-destruction once more.\
LINEBREAK
"Okay, time to do something… anything really…"
Eric has been walking around for the last two hours, simply taking in the sights and getting used to his new body.
He walked around for 30 minutes and didn't even feel a change in his heartbeat, muscle strain, or really anything actually. It felt like he woke up feeling the most rested he has ever felt, and it's just been constantly like that all the time.
He also tested his new Tier system. Walking, jogging, running, sprinting, and jumping with various power tiers were different from each other. It wasn't like his tiers were linear, it was exponentially different.
Tier I and Tier II were reaching peak human and superhuman levels, respectively. However, Tier III literally caused him to sprint (read: smash) through a building and jump over the roofs of a few. That was Tier III. Tier IV launched him into the stratosphere. Eric was scared of going higher than that.
Meh, it'll take time.
Time to make his first technique!
Eric thought long and hard about what he would want to do to develop his first technique. Obviously, his frame of reference was from mainly any form of media from his home universe, but theoretically it could be anything he wanted, only limited by his imagination.
Hmm. Teleportation. Something he would definitely need – oh, and a locator spell of some sort. It would be kind of detrimental to him to know where he needed to go and means to get there rather quickly.
"Okay… let's see…" Eric mused. Feeling some sort of metaphysical tension underlying his skin as he contemplated the creation of his technique, Eric knew that he needed to draw this power out when creating and using his technique.
"Technique Creation: Location of All," Eric could feel the energy tingling underneath his skin, a pulse of power coursing through him when he envisioned the parameters and details of what he wants his technique to achieve.
"Technique Creation: Instantaneous Spatial Movement," This one had more power releasing than his location technique, probably because of the nature of the technique created wasn't limited to just Earth, it was through time and space. Theoretically, he could move across universes now. However, he didn't want to get lost or somehow piss off the council and literally die as he was just reborn.
"Okay, let's see… Wait, actually, where am I right now?"
[You are currently located in The United States of America, specifically Washington, D.C.]
Cool. Okay.
"Locate: Saitama" Eric felt a pulse of energy leave him in miniscule amounts before a ping was felt literally across the world. He doesn't know how he knew that, just that he did.
"Interesting… They gave me 10 years to accomplish my task, but they didn't say I could be proactive and just kill him now. Granted, hopefully he doesn't have powers now."
Ne, Alice? Since we're in a Japanese-prominent universe, let's go full weeb.
[Hai… Eric-Sama~]
"Just for my inner weeb, I must do it…"
"Instant Spatial Movement: Saitama!"
Zzzrrp!
LINEBREAK
"Oi… who the hell are you?" A male voice deadpanned.
Eric looked around his surroundings after he teleported. Huh, same apartment. Looking at the person who spoke, Eric paused for a second.
"… Are you Saitama?"
"Uh… yeah? Who are you? Did my boss send you or something?" Saitama deadpanned, still wearing his salaryman suit and a full head of hair.
Eric stared. Does… does this mean he hasn't pushed past his human boundaries? Is this guy literally still base-human?
"What are your dreams, Saitama-san?" Oh, right. Eric also created an All-Speak spell that Asgardians have so he could talk to them. That was off-screen.
There was a dark gleam in Saitama's eyes that Eric didn't notice before. Almost… malevolent. This was a man who aspired to become a villain – a being of death and destruction. If he even had a fraction of Saitama's original power in canon… That genuinely scared Eric for a moment.
"My dream… my dream is to become this world- no, this universe's biggest villain. A being of villainy so strong that the universe would be forced to bow to my whims." Saitama's expression went from deadpan to almost manically violent. He had a gleam in his eyes that spoke of the possibility of that happening.
Eric stared once more, trying to subconsciously make the comparison between this Saitama and the canon Saitama.
"I see… very well. Saitama?"
Saitama eyed the admittedly very handsome man in front of him, not that he would say that out loud… like ever. "Yes?"
"Avada Kerdavra!" a pale green jet launched out of Eric's finger, immediately striking Saitama in the chest before he could even react, something Eric knew would've never happened if he was peak-Saitama.
Saitama folded over like a folding table, crashing onto the floor in an undignified heap like a… well, like a dead body. Eric stared warily at it for a moment, still on guard if Saitama has some sort of recovery power.
Hint: he didn't get back up.
Eric stood there for another minute before slowly creeping towards the body. Putting two fingers against Saitama's neck, Eric checked for pulse.
None. Phew! Eric took a step back, his body relaxing and a small smirk on his face.
"You know, it's weird. Maybe I would feel differently if I killed someone that doesn't deserve it, but this guy… his potential of destruction was too vast. Killing him was a public service to every lifeform in this universe."
"Well! Time to go-"
Before Eric could finish his thought, he was suddenly pulled from his feet and was soaring towards the sky at inconceivable speeds. A kaleidoscope of colors passed by him before he was suddenly stilled in vast empty Space.
Eric's heartbeat, although beating strong and steadily, didn't stop him from feeling panicked as he stared at absolutely nothing.
"So… this is who they chose." It sounded like a quadrillion voices speaking at once, bellowing into your ear as if you had your head against a jet plane ready to take off.
Eric cringed at the volume and the disorienting feeling of hearing this… voice, if you could call it that.
"Who- what are you?"
"I. AM. THE. CREATOR."
There was no yelling, no inflection of any emotion. No boasting. Just simply a statement. However, the weight almost crushed Eric's body, even with his new power, feeling a pressure he has never felt in any capacity.
"I will be watching you, Eric Nguyen. Do your job well and you shall be rewarded." The voice tapered off towards the end, the silence over encompassing just like the voice itself.
"2 wishes. Once you know what they are, you shall tell Alice your wishes and they shall be granted. We will never meet again. Goodbye."
Before Eric could even blink, he was thrown through an opening portal of swirling blackness.
LINEBREAK
Eric blinked awake, suddenly very conscious of his surroundings and his being. Huh, that's what Alice meant about being aware in a nano-second from being asleep to awake.
"Hmm… Where am I now?"

It's been twenty-one years since Eric was sent to this universe after killing Saitama and meeting the creator. Ugh, shivers. Most of what he has done is acclimatize himself back into society as a normal human.
Now, people would wonder, "Eric! What do you mean 21-years?! That's absurd!"
Well, yes, it is quite absurd. However, not knowing (at first) what universe he would end up in after being thrown through an eldritch looking portal, Eric decided that the best thing to do was to basically import himself as a newly 'conceived fetus' into an unsuspecting couple who were contemplating having a child.
Little did they know that they would get their wish, however early they were planning it. They got a big surprise in the form of Eric. Using a little mental magic that he created on the fly, he imported the thought of naming him (a fetus at the time) Eric.
Forgoing rewriting their entire history, Eric decided to just take their last name, not knowing who he was being 'born' to.
Highschool DxD was this universe. He didn't realize it until he found out their last name, even with the task given to him.
He didn't really read the novel or watch the anime to be completely honest, however he did know about it because the protagonist was a grade-A pervert and all around generally useless in Eric's opinion. That's how he remembered that last name.
Linking the mission and the last name, and also that he was born in a town named Kuoh – it doesn't take a genius to match those details.
Realizing he couldn't act like a baby for years, he just decided to say fuck it and become a scary child. 'Learning' to walk in 5 months, speak in 8 months, and finally just overall being independent by a year old.
His parents took him to every possible doctor and researcher they could get into contact with. Every one of them concluded that he was just an extremely talented and intelligent child.
Of course, Eric manipulated their perception and memory of him whenever he thought was appropriate, practicing his powers over the course of years.
By the time he was three, the protagonist was born. Only thing though…
Issei Hyoudou… was born Itsuri Hyoudou.
At first, he was baffled when his 'parents' told him that he was getting a little sister. In canon, everyone knew that Issei was… well, Issei – a dude. Not a girl.
However, after he thought about it for a while, it made sense. His birth led his parents to make different life choices, different time frame of practically everything. So, it makes sense that instead of a male, they conceived a female.
Genetics are a fickle thing.
Itsuri was born pretty similar looking to her original counterpart – brown hair, brown eyes, lush eyelashes, and sharp jawline. The difference? Well other than the obvious (being a girl), Itsuri's hair was longer, her eyes a little smaller, and softer features all around.
Eric though, well he was a little stubborn. He kept his black hair (only a little brown since it would be sus) and steel, gray eyes. Everything else was just a matter of sizing as he aged, or in his infantile years, de-aged.
He kept his physique post-toddler days, kept his height the same after he became 15, and lowkey made himself more handsome with symmetrical proportionate features.
Other than that? Pretty mundane life to be completely honest. He had more excitement when training in his powers than anything else in his life.
Don't get him wrong, he loved his new family. A reason why he was so emotionally stunted in his previous life was because his family was absolute trash. Divorced, broken home, abused when he was a kid, narcissistic and arrogant parents, and just overall not good people.
Made sense in Eric's mind on why he was lowkey muted in pretty much everything he felt. However, he knew he loved his new parents. They were warm, funny, loving, and cared deeply for each other and for their kids.
He may have cried a few times as a baby for that exact reason.
Anyway, once Itsuri was born, he took second place – and honestly? That was perfectly fine. Having Eric as a baby was a breeze. Itsuri? As an actual newborn? They were all over the place trying to calm her down, make sure she stayed alive, and just overall fretting over everything.
She was a rowdy child.
Fast forward a couple years, Itsuri and Eric were inseparable. Well, more like Itsuri latched on and never let go. Eric was her big brother, her hero and protector. She idolized him and was kind of, maybe - a little too obsessed with being around him 24/7.
Some words were thrown around like anxiety, and separation – Eric didn't ponder it too much. As a single child, suddenly having a younger sibling was a novel experience.
He originally had a very lonely childhood, so playing with Itsuri was really fun and new to him. The reason why she latched onto him though?
Well…
It was probably the time he saved her from a wild dog that chased her down the street and he may, or may not have, punted it into the atmosphere.
Hey, in his defense it was a big dog, and she was only four at the time. That fucki- that dog could've seriously hurt her, so he made the executive decision to put it down. Well, up in this case. Whatever.
Anyway, back to the present.
He reached his motorcycle (it was a blacked-out Yamaha R1 – he was pretty proud of it) in the parking lot of some university he got into locally so as to not be away from his family (and the plot, got to remember why he was here).
Picking up his phone, he dialed Itsuri's number.
"Eric-nii! Ohmygosh- I had the best first day in the world!" Itsuri's voice rang out from his phone, practically vibrating in excitement.
"Yeah?" Eric said, smirking amusedly as his baby sister ranted, attracting some appreciative glances from the females in the parking lot.
"Yesh! It was awesome! I made so many friends in class today. They were all super nice to me! I can't believe I get to attend this school, and on a scholarship! It didn't even matter to me that there were two perverts in my class that kept hounding my female friends."
"Oh? Did they also try anything with you?" Eric said in a deceptively calm tone.
"A-ah," Itsuri hesitated, "…no?"
Eric snorted at her attempt to lie, "Well, if they ever make you uncomfortable or do anything you don't like, tell me. I'll take care of them."
There was a pause in the conversation after he said that. Eric's brow furrowed in confusion.
Itsuri took a shaky breath, sounding flustered all of a sudden. "I know, Eric-nii… thank you."
"Always imouto," Eric said, "anyway, I'll be there soon. You have your helmet, right?"
"Yesh! I always have it. People kept asking me if I had a motorcycle, but I kept telling them that my brother would be picking me up," Itsuri pouted through the phone.
Eric chuckled, "Well you keep telling them that imouto, I'll be there soon, 'kay?"
"Mmm! Love you, Eric-nii!" Itsuri exclaimed, happily.
"Love you too, 'Suri." Eric clicked his phone off, tightening his bag straps and sliding his helmet and gloves on.
Starting his bike, Eric sat there in neutral for a second.
Nothing has really happened in this world so far. He knew that Itsuri would be reaching canon at some point this year, but he couldn't recall when it would start. He just had to sit tight and wait, he mused.
"Oh well, ain't nothing to do," Eric mused in English, flipped his kickstand and shifting into first, speeding out of the campus parking lot.
LINEBREAK
"Ne ne, Hyoudou-san! When is your brother coming?" Murayama asked, looking at the incoming vehicles to pick up students.
"Yeah! You kept saying that your onii-chan would be coming to pick you up," Katase teased, poking Itsuri's back insistently.
Itsuri blushed lightly. Maybe she should tone it down on mentioning her older brother around school. It is mostly a girl's school so it made sense that they would be interested in the person she mentioned like 20 times already.
"I told you guys already! He's in college so he has to drive from there to here after his classes. He probably won't get here til-"
Vrrrrooom!
The engine of a vehicle coming into the front of the school caused many eyes to perk up. Many eyebrows raised when a sleek looking, black motorcycle pulled up, especially a certain president of the student body.
Coming to a stop, the motorcyclist took off his helmet, resulting in many gasps sounding out.
Now, Itsuri knew her brother was attractive. Having your friends and family literally say it to your face hundreds of times compounds that concept into your head. However, she already knew that before anyone said it to her. She had eyes, y'know. Therefore, she wasn't that surprised at the audible reactions from the mostly-female populace.
"N-ne, Hyoudou-san… is that your brother?" Katase said, breathlessly.
Itsuri wordlessly nodded as she herself was kind of taken aback by her brother. He wasn't wearing his usual black shorts and black hoodie she's used to seeing him wear over the years.
He was wearing a tight, black compression T-shirt with grey joggers. Literally a fuck-boy outfit that she swore she's never seen before.
"Itsuri!" Eric yelled out, his baritone voice cutting through the bustling noise, trying to see her through the crowded entrance.
Many people she met throughout the day turned and looked at her with incredulous eyes.
""""That's your brother?!""""
Itsuri blushed under the scrutiny and ran to somewhere safe, meaning her brother.
Eric's eyes locked onto her as she rushed through the crowd, his usual stoic face melting into a small smirk, causing more exclamations through the crowd.
"Who is that hottie?"
"Woah, do you see his bike? That's so cool!"
"Itsuri? Hyoudou-san? That's her brother?!"
"Woah, someone go ask him to take off his clothes teeheehee~" This came from a certain twin-tailed pervert.
Eric raised an amused eyebrow at the comments, his eyes still locked on to Itsuri, she noticed.
"Eric-nii!" She said breathlessly, breathing hard as she sprinted out the courtyard.
"Hi, imouto," he chuckled, "ready to go?"
Itsuri smiled, "mmm!"
"'Kay, put on your helmet and get on then, 'Suri."
Hearing that, Itsuri promptly did as told and smoothly slid onto the back of his bike. It was a familiar feeling as he has been driving it for the last five years. How he got his license she didn't know, neither did their parents but they didn't really care.
"Hold tight, imouto," Eric's deep voice reverberated into her, muffled by his and her helmet. She still shivered.
"H-Hai."
Vrrrrroooom!
They left many following eyes behind.
LINEBREAK
Reaching their home, Eric and Itsuri got off the bike and moved inside.
""We're home!""
"Welcome home! How was the first day of school?"
Miki Hyoudou was a gentle looking woman. Roughly in her early 40s, she still retained her beauty and physique through rigorous care of her fitness and eating choices.
She was a gentle soul who deeply loved her family, ensuring that no matter what they were safe and happy.
"It was amazing! I made so many friends and met so many new people! Kuoh Academy is super prestigious and beautiful. The interior is straight out of a movie or something! Classes were really good! The instructors know what they are talking about, and my peers keep up really well." Itsuri gushed out, hurriedly taking off her shoes and bag to hug her mother.
Miki smiled at her daughter's exuberance, "That's amazing 'Suri-chan. I'm so happy you had a wonderful first day. Did you have everything you needed for your classes?"
Itsuri nodded in affirmation, rushing to the kitchen to find some food. Both Miki and Eric laughed at her as she went.
Miki turned back to Eric and her eyes softened some more. "And you? How was your day, sweetheart?"
Eric laughed lightly and hugged his mom, "It was good. I swear, this professor of mine doesn't know what he's doing. I could teach the material better than him given the number of times he had to pause to read off the board."
Miki laughed into her son's shoulder, already guessing something like that would happen. Eric was an extremely smart boy, even when he was only a couple years old. By the time he reached middle school, he was studying college-grade material. By the time he was in high school, he breezed through all his courses with a perfect score.
Miki's eyes went downcast for a moment.
"Mom? What's wrong?" Eric said, worriedly, noticing her crestfallen look.
"It's just that," Miki paused, sniffling lightly, "you're so smart. You could've gone to schools like Harvard or Yale, but we can't afford it. I-"
Eric grabbed her shoulders softly, making her look into her tall son's eyes.
"Mom," Eric started softly, his heart softening at the genuine remorse in her eyes, something his previous mother never had, "I don't care about that at all. Sure, education is important, but family matters way more to me."
"If I needed money, I would go get money. I already know so many ways to do it. But what matters to me more than that is making sure my family is safe and cared for. That's why I made Dad quit his salary job that abused him and got him to start his own restaurant that I know he's always wanted. And look! Now he makes more than he did before and on top of that- he's happy. So am I, so is Itsuri, and I know you're happier too."
Miki teared up even more hearing those heartfelt words from her amazing son. Gosh, she remembers how emotionless he was as a baby, something that worried her to no end. Thankfully over the years it seemed to thaw out and out came an amazing person that she could always rely on.
"Thank you sochi. I love you so much."
"I love you too, kaa-san."
"Mom! Eric! C'mon let's watch some TV together!" Itsuri yelled out, coming from the living room.
Miki and Eric looked at each other for a second before bursting into heartfelt laughter.
As his mom turned around to head to Itsuri, Eric couldn't help but feel blessed.
Yeah, 21 years was a long time. But with this family? It wasn't long enough.
LINEBREAK
It was relatively early in the evening when Eric's dad, Gorou Hyoudou, came home from his restaurant.
"Oh, sweet family of mine~, where are you?"
"Dad!" Itsuri rushed out of the living room into her dad's arms, laughing.
"Hey there sweetheart! How was your first day of school?" Gorou said, balancing food in one hand and hugging his daughter in the other.
"It was awesome!" She proceeded to repeat what she told Eric and her mother.
"That's awesome honey, I'm so glad." Gorou smiled, walking towards the living room.
Miki and Eric were already standing by the time Gorou made it to the living room, both smiling as he walked in.
"Hey dad, welcome home. How was the store today?"
Both Eric and Gorou spent a lot of time creating a business plan to open up a small restaurant that served many favorites Japanese people loved to eat.
Well, it was mostly Eric as he was a business major in his prior life, plus the additional studying he did in this one. However, it was Gorou's dream to open a restaurant as he loved cooking. So, it was a shared action between the two.
Needless to say, with Eric's keen business eye and Gorou's delicious cooking, the restaurant was an absolute hit in the area.
"It was really busy tonight, so we made a good amount of profit. Ishiki spilled miso all over the kitchen, but thankfully it only took a mop to clean everything up."
"That's good – well, he's new, so it makes sense. Mistakes happen, nothing to really get into. If anything, he'll be really conscious about it later."
"You're right- of course you're right my smart son. How were your classes today?" Gorou said, curious if the pattern would continue.
"Ah, pretty much how it went the last couple of years. Super easy. I already read through the entire curriculum and it's nothing new so I'll just study ahead."
Gorou laughed, "Of course. Good job, son. I'm proud of you."
Eric smiled at that. His previous father never said anything remotely affectionate to him. No 'I-love-you' or 'I'm-proud-of-you' just a beating or a screaming admonishment. It was a nice change to have a loving and caring father.
"Thanks dad, good work at the store today. I'm sure you killed it." Gorou smiled at his son's praise, knowing that he meant it as he was pretty involved with the entire thing in the first place.
"Hello darling~, how was your day today?" Gorou said, sliding into Miki's awaiting arms.
Eric rolled his eyes and smiled, looking away from the affectionate embrace they shared.
"Ne ne, Eric-nii," Itsuri fake-whispered to him, "when are you going to get a girlfriend so that it's not just them acting all lovey-dovey all the time?"
Miki and Gorou laughed at Itsuri's comment, staring jokingly at their son.
Eric rolled his eyes and smirked, "Why would I need a girlfriend when I'm too busy being with my cute, little imouto, huh?"
Miki, Gorou, and Eric laughed at the large blush on Itsuri's face as she stuttered back in retort.
"Really set yourself up for that one my cute daughter," Miki said, laughing lightly into her hand.
She was aware of the little crush Itsuri had on Eric, honestly it wasn't that large of an observation to make. Even when they were young kids Itsuri would always cling onto Eric like he was her teddy bear.
She always wanted to be with her older brother and wanted to do the things he was doing. As they grew up it was obvious that Itsuri liked her older brother in… unconventional ways but it was innocent, so Miki and Gorou saw no problems with intervening.
Eric was also a large factor as to why she didn't. She knew that Eric loved his family deeply and would do nothing to ever hurt them.
Somewhere deep inside Miki was glad that Itsuri loved Eric. They were both amazing people, being her children withstanding.
If those two ever actually got together, Miki would secretly be happy as they deeply love and respect each other. So, she knew they would be happy no matter what. Even Gorou said the same when they discussed it in secret.
Eric was a mature, intelligent young man and did everything with his best. Itsuri was a deeply loving person and cared so much about the people around her, always being the brightest in the room. They would be there for each other no matter what and love each other very, very much.
"W-whatever! It's not like I care or anything! Hmph!" Everyone laughed at Itsuri's immature retort, causing her to blush even more and bury her face in her hands.
Eric slyly slid his arm around her shoulders on the couch they were sitting on, "Sureee, imouto. Sureee."
Itsuri blushed harder. Everyone laughed harder.
LINEBREAK
Laying in his bed with his arms resting behind his head, Eric relaxed. It was a nice day today.
Classes were really just to pass the time as the plot progressed and hanging out with his family was always a treat.
If the supernatural didn't exist in this world, he would honestly be okay with still living it out with his family here. It was a nice change from his original life.
Still, he knew that things were going to change soon, so he hoped that at the end of it, his family would be-
Eric paused in his musings, his small smile turning into a frown. A stray entered his sensing field.
Eric sat up abruptly, his clothes melting off him and turning into his regular black shorts and black hoodie, however this time he had a blank, black mask over the entirety of his face.
"Oh, you're so fucked little devil."
…
"Instantaneous Spatial Movement."
Silently teleporting 20 feet behind the stray devil, Eric floated in the air for a moment, his arms crossed.
The stray devil was munching on human body parts in an abandoned factory on the edge of Kuoh.
Looking around, Eric concluded that this was a recent move as most of the blood looked fresh and the stray's essence wasn't anything he sensed in the area recently.
He has been killing anything in the area that remotely endangers his family since he was born in Kuoh. He would transition from his toddler body to his grown body and take them out. Often times, it was a stray that sensed devil energy coming from this town.
Eric slowly stretched out a hand towards the devil, hovering over the air palm-downwards. Flexing his power slightly, Eric quickly swung his hand down in a smashing motion.
Instantly the stray devil and the surroundings were flattened into the ground, creating a huge sink hole in the middle of the factory. The human body parts were atomized due to the pressure and the stray's bones and cartilage broke like a toothpick.
"AARRGHHH-"
Flipping over his outstretched hand out, he slammed his other hand into it. Instantly the stray was silenced, completely exploding in blood and body parts as the air popped loudly due to pressure displacement.
"… Well, I haven't done that in a while. Forgot how gore-y it can be. Ugh." Eric floated the blood and guts off of him leaving none left and banished it. Snapping his thumb, anything left over from the devil was instantly vaporized by black fire.
Bringing his middle finger to his thumb, Eric flexed his power and moved his hand from right to left, causing all the damage to the area to revert to its original form. Even the blood trails were erased.
"Hmm. Okay, time to go-"
"Wait, please." A soft, feminine voice rang out, coming from the entrance.
Eric calmly looked over in that direction, already feeling the angelic energy coming from the spoken person.
"Hmm? An angel… What do you want?" Eric said, still floating in the air in his original position.
The person walked out, the darkness no longer concealing her features.
Platinum blonde hair was what immediately caught his attention, as it was shining even in the night. The next was the gleaming golden armor that covered her rather voluptuous figure, well, armor was an overstatement. It was basically lingerie made out of metal.
Her features drew his attention next – blue eyes with a heart shaped face, slim mid-section but succulent breasts and thighs. Overall, she was a total knockout. Oh, and 12 shimmering white wings on her back.
Eric simply raised an eyebrow at her. "Did you need something?"
She looked a little put out for a moment, even pouting, before a curious expression washed over her face.
"Who are you? What are you? How did you do the things you did just now?"
Eric simply stared at her. "Do you honestly expect me to answer that? To a stranger?"
The angel suddenly smiled brightly, almost blinding Eric with her brightness (literally).
"Well then! Introductions are in order. My name is Gabriel! I am an angel of heavens, a seraph. A pleasure to meet you!" She actually bowed to him after she said that - hands daintily crossed in front of her.
Eric was mentally taken aback by her positive, innocent expression.
He knew angels were beings of the light, however this world was pretty cutthroat, so seeing a very innocent and puppy-like look on this woman's face was bewildering. Now, he had a choice.
He could introduce himself like a normal person, or he could do the whole 'hidden-identity-that-eventually-gets-figured-out-and-causes-a-whole-bunch-of-drama' thing.
Eric shrugged and took off his mask. Flexing his power slightly.
"My name is Eric Hyoudou, nice to meet you, Seraph Gabriel."
For the first time in her very long life, Gabriel was actually taken aback completely.
This man… he was extremely handsome… But his aura… It was so pure, so clean and free of impurities. It almost made her tear up.
Aura was released by everyone. The constitution in which they were made up of, bled trace amounts of energy that derives from the body and of the spirit. Chakra, if a technical term is needed. Yin and Yang – Physical and Spiritual. Eric's aura… It was blindingly pure, purer than even the angels in heaven.
"Seraph Gabriel? Are you alright?" Eric said, wondering why she had such a shocked face.
Y-Yes. Yes. My apologies, I was simply surprised by your power. It is very pure." Gabriel said, coming back to her senses.
Eric looked at her surprised for a moment before nodding. He remembered Alice's physical evaluation and how the council removed all 'impurities'. "Ah, I see. Yeah, it's like that." Floating downwards, Eric landed on the concrete floor before walking towards Gabriel.
"Well, like I said, it's nice to meet you Seraph Gabriel, my name is Eric Hyoudou." Eric smiled, reaching his hand out.
Gabriel smiled back, "It's nice to meet you too, Eric." She returned the gesture, and they shook hands.
"So? Did you need something? It's late and I have to get back to my family." Eric said, retracting his hand.
"Ah- yes, right. How did you do that?" She tilted her head curiously. It was cute.
"Do what?" He was mentally chuckling at the byplay.
Gabriel mimed bringing her hand to the floor, "That."
Eric smirked, before beckoning her to come closer, angling his hand like he was about to tell a secret.
Gabriel's expression brightened even more, something that didn't seem possible to Eric. She leaned in excitedly, putting her ear near his mouth.
"It's really only one thing, Gabriel-chan," Eric's deep, rich voice sent pleasurable tingles down Gabriel's spine that she's never felt before. She could feel her face and body heating up unexpectedly.
"Y-Yes, Eric?" Gabriel said, almost breathlessly.
"It's…" Eric said, lowly and enticingly, causing even more shivers.
"It's…" Gabriel repeated, almost inching closer to him.
Eric smirked.
"It's a secret."
He teleported away.
Gabriel stood there frozen for a second. Then, she started shaking slightly.
"Hahaha!" Gabriel laughed lightly, slowly devolving into giggles. She looked up at the sky with a smile.
"Eric Hyoudou, huh? Interesting."
LINEBREAK
Eric was still chuckling by the time his clothes transitioned back into the boxers and T-shirt he had on.
He didn't worry about Gabriel finding him, or really anyone in the supernatural world honestly.
He's placed over 100 different protections that he could think of over this place and on his family. However, even if he was confident that it would keep beings away from his family and the house, he was still cautious and constantly checked his sense field to ensure that nothing even came close to his family and home.
Regardless of the small stray problem, today was a good day. He got to live a normal college student's life with no worries, got to tease his little sister, spent some time with his family, and even got to meet an angel.
She was different than what he expected. He expected the angels to be more hostile. Not in the sense of simple prejudice and hatred, but rather for the sake of security and peace.
Most unknowns make humans wary, genuine beings of unknown power and origin would cause anyone to react negatively. Who knows? It might just be that Gabriel was different, or that angels in general were like that.
Oh well.
Moving a trace amount of power to his brain, Eric cast a technique.
"Sleep."
LINEBREAK
"A-Ano… Eric-nii..."
Instantly shooting up, Eric was ready to throw hands.
The moment he heard his sister's tone, he knew something was wrong. If his sister wasn't there at that exact moment, he would've flattened everything in the room by simply exerting his power just because something might be wrong with her.
Eyes instantly sliding over her figure, which was peaking through his slightly open door, he observed her for any injuries. Finding none, he looked into her eyes. They were wide in slight fear.
"Imouto? What's wrong? Are you okay? Did something happen?" Eric rushed, standing up quickly and pulling her into his room, shutting the door. Sitting her down on his bed, he wrapped her up in a comforting hug.
"N-No, I'm okay… I just had a nightmare, that's all." Itsuri said, morosely, looking down and twiddling her thumbs.
Eric sighed softly in relief, glad that she wasn't hurt. He might still feel some tension from sensing the stray earlier.
"What happened? What did you dream about?"
"It was the dog again..." Itsuri said, softly and slightly embarrassed.
Even though she was 18, Itsuri's emotions ruled her mental state. While mature in understanding concepts, she had trouble regulating her emotions and thus, it was harder to make logical decisions.
That's why everyone treated her the way they did.
The world would always be there to hurt someone unprepared, so family is the one place where you can be safe no matter what. Sure, it may be coddling, but ensuring that his sister was safe and happy at least somewhere?
It was a small price to pay.
"It's okay 'Suri, it can't hurt you anymore. Remember? I took care of it."
Itsuri nodded softly, "I know Eric-nii… It's just scary to think about what could've happened, you know? If you weren't there that day or I hadn't asked you to come with me outside. It would've been just me. I think that scares me more than anything."
Eric tilted her head up to look at him, "Never – in your entire life – will you ever be alone. When times get hard, which they will because that's life, you will always have me in your corner. Dad and mom as well. We love you – I love you. Never forget that my dear sister."
Itsuri leaned into his hand, pressing herself closer to her brother, desperately seeking the comfort and safety that he's always provided for her.
"I love you, Eric-nii."
"I love you too, Suri-hime."
Itsuri blushed heavily, her eyes widening at the nickname he gave her when they were kids.
She would always want to be the princess from the stories, and made her brother be the knight in shining armor. After making him play with her for hours doing that, he nicknamed her Suri-hime, making her blush much like how she's doing right now.
It never failed to make sure blush and tinge in pleasure.
Pushing her head into Eric's chest, Itsuri mumbled unintelligibly.
Eric smiled amusedly, "what was that imouto?"
Itsuri lifted her head, their faces inches apart, her eyes darting between his eyes and lips, "I said that isn't fair onii-chan."
Eric could feel her breath getting heavier and could smell her arousal. He felt conflicted. Logically, he knew he wasn't really her brother. Yes, the world and everyone else knew that they were related as they came out of the same woman, but genetically? They weren't the same.
He loved her, hands down. He would move heaven and earth for her. But the decision to take it further lingered in his mind. He knew that in the supernatural world it wouldn't even matter. No one would blink an eye. However, in the mortal realm? It was taboo.
"Onii-chan…" her voice was laced with need, desperate to do something, anything. Her face was flushed, and her eyes were lidded. Her body was pressed against his by this point. Her chest was pressed against his, and her arms laced around his neck.
"Suri-hime… what are you doing to me?" Eric whispered, voice tinged with need and love. His arms slowly slinking around her waist, dragging her on top of him as he laid down.
Itsuri's eyes widened, hearing the affection and hunger in his tone. Something she dreamed of, but never thought would happen. Her entire being flushed with happiness. She also realized the position they were in.
She was straddling him, legs on either side and curled beneath her knees. Her crotch on his, and her chest pressed against the fabric of his shirt, spilling out of her nightdress.
"Fuck… Onii-chan~, mmm~" Itsuri moaned, throwing her head back and staring into his eyes with heated desire.
Eric swore he could see pink hearts in her eyes as she stared at him.
"God Eric-nii," she said, breathlessly, "I-I want you to so badly right now. Ah!~"
"Mmm, fuck 'Suri… You feel so good like that, baby." She moaned at the name.
Fuck it, Eric thought. He went to grab the side of her face, smashing their lips together in a heated exchange.
She moaned so loudly that he feared their parents would come barging in. He honestly couldn't find it within himself to care at the moment.
He could feel her devouring his mouth with her hot lips, clumsily but filled with need that made anywhere she kissed irrelevant. Their movements filled with passion and need, an over encompassing feeling of love and lust coursed through them.
"A-ah~ Onii-chan…" Itsuri whimpered quietly, moaning softly.
The two of them simply laid there for a few minutes. Eric's hands trailing up and down her back in a cherishing caress, and Itsuri's hands idly running through his hair.
"Ano, Eric-nii?" Itsuri mumbled out softly.
"Yeah, hime? Are you okay?" Eric murmured, just as softly and caringly.
"Yeah… I'm okay. You know I love you, right?" Itsuri said, resting her chin on his chest in order to look at him.
Eric smiled softly at her, pecking her lips gently, "I know imouto. You know I love you too, right?"
"Yeah," Itsuri said, smiling beautifully, "I know."
"I know you've had feelings for me for a long time," Eric said, causing Itsuri's eyes to widen slightly, "I've also felt similar things with you. That's why I've never really had a serious girlfriend. Seeing you grow up and become the person that you are – there has been no one else for me."
Itsuri almost started crying in joy at his words. For so long she's been holding back her feelings for her brother. She knew it was wrong, knew that the world wouldn't accept them as they are.
… but…
Hearing him say those words to her… She stopped caring. They didn't know how amazing and loving her brother was. They didn't know how much she loved him from the deepest depths of her soul. How being away from him feels like her entire being is being split from its home.
"Even if the world starts burning tomorrow," Itsuri started, staring deeply into Eric's eyes, resolution tinging her tone, "I'd dance on top of the ashes as long as you're with me."
Eric's eyes widened at her words. Flashes of his past flew in his mind - how his parents were negligent and abusive, how no one was ever there for him, how easy it was to give up his original universe without looking back… All of it flew by in his mind.
Until it cleared and all that was left in his vision was his sister staring at him with such love in his eyes that his breath hitched. Even with a body incapable of failure, without fault, operating at 100% perfection…
He could still feel it skip a beat.
Smashing their lips together, Eric flipped them over, spreading her legs with his knees, lips still interlocked.
Itsuri yelped in surprise and joy as Eric flipped them, moaning as she felt his knees push her legs apart, and his mouth devour hers.
Eric pulled back and looked at his sister. Her hair wildly tangled in his bed sheets, her eyes lidded in desire, and her lips swollen from his own.
"Perfection."
Itsuri blushed heavily, swallowing thickly at the intense look in Eric's eyes.
"W-What are you going to do to me… Onii-chan~" Itsuri said, saying his designation seductively and lowly.
Eric's eyes lit up, almost glowing steel in the darkened room. It mesmerized Itsuri immediately. She was incapable of looking away.
"I-" Eric started, slowly leaning down, "am going to-"
BANGBANGBANG!
Eric stood up so fast that Itsuri thought he teleported.
Before she could feel the sting of rejection that he might be embarrassed about being together, Eric grabbed her hand and protectively stood in front of her and more banging sounded out from the door, filling her with love as his first priority was making sure she was safe and protected.
"Open this door. Right. NOW!" Miki's voice sounded out, sounding angrier than either of them have ever heard. Eric relaxed, it was just their mom. Eric looked over at Itsuri, smiling softly at her panicked look. Kissing her softly on the lips, he whispered to her:
"No matter what, we will always be together. I love you so very much imouto."
Even though panic was coursing through her and every instinct told her to hide or run from the wrath of their mother, Itsuri smiled beautifully at Eric.
"I know onii-chan. Always. I love you."
