~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 1: The Tower ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Fade to new outdoors scene, approximately four hundred miles outside the Grand Staff research station and factory center run by the Highlands of Wohl. The aerial view zooms in on several characters who are standing in a group outside a key location filled with glass mirrors in the Lost Odyssey series known as the Tower of Mirrors. A large, sturdy electric generator whirs loudly in the background and continues to hum as the devices near the open crevices begin coming online.*

A huge, ear drum thumping sound continues to resonate throughout the Hall of Mirrors. Just a few moments before this, Kaim Argonaur, Sarah Sisulart and Jansen Freidh had all stared on in amazement as Seth Balmore seemingly disappeared through a portal…vanishing without a trace n'er to be seen again. The turbine in the middle was beginning to spin extremely fast, creating a large vacuum of dust and air particles that continued to span all throughout the factory floor. Could this be what Gongora had wanted? Was Gongora truly defeated? And what were those large mechanisms, the giant gears that kept rotating seemingly in clockwise circles as you might see in a large clock tower.*

Jansen: "Kaim, come on you know….You know what I saw, don't you? She just….Seth you know, just disappeared without a trace. ….Yah. Does that mean, you will like, you know….vanish like poof now?"

Kaim Argonaur: (((Silence))) "Jansen, you're a good friend. Yet you know that you aren't one of us. I need to follow Seth back through, at least for now…to find out what truly happened to the Source generator."

Sarah: "But Kaim…I thought that all ended when the Grand Staff collapsed? The source generators are supposed to all be offline now….there can't be anything powering those glowing floors now..right?"

Sarah: "Come on Kaim, let Seth go….Take care of Mack, Cooke, me and Queen Ming. We all need you now with all the changes recently. What will happen if the Axis table comes online again?"

Kaim Argonaur: "I'm sorry Sarah, you know what I must do with the conduits…I have to go back now, and find Seth inside the Hall of Mirrors that leads to the other side of Novallis Secorum which is our home world. I can't stay here, not right now. There's too many questions left unanswered."

Just then, a large platform emerges in the center of the room. A "Pip" Master animal pops straight out of the ground and makes several unintelligible chirping sounds. It seems to be glancing, and aiming its gaze over at the center chamber. It now seems to be pointing towards a large elevator that goes directly straight down into the sanctum of the Tower of Mirrors…..Something is not right.*

The Grand Staff was destroyed….Surely none of those Source Generators can be running? All the polymers are offline. What in the world would run these generators, given the 1000 years of dreams Kaim had experienced and history of this Magic filled revolutionary place? Slowly, he then realized there was a key that arose in the center chamber where the Master Pip stood. Something was very wrong…..Seth had been gone too long, and she was supposed to be celebrating with all of them. But she had fallen back into the World of Mirrors….back through the portal…and Gongora's essence lingered.*

Mack: "Come on Cooke, I'll race you!"

Cooke: "I don't think we should do anything right now. Jansen, this isn't the time to bug Kaim! I think he knows what needs to be done, the Grand Staff thingy is still….glowing with all this pulsating energy."

Kaim Argonaur: "Kids, I need you to watch after Sarah…your newly inherited mother now. I have to leave I'm afraid. This means I have to go back through the Hall of Mirrors, because something is wrong…..something Gongora left behind is causing the Source fillers to fill to the top….it just doesn't add up….Seth should not have disappeared after defeating him."

Sed: "Mom! I take it you know what to do, to find her right Kaim? Eh? Eh? Go back after her Kaim….get me back my mother and I will give you a healthy reward…worthy of a master magician."

Sed: "Be careful! I heard the Tower of Mirrors is alive now…..thanks to the Nexus vials…It can transport someone back through different realities, even through time..that's what they say."

Kaim: "Don't be ridiculous, those were rumors. I would know if it could actually change the fabric of our reality….No, the Mirrors are an actual gateway…A door you can enter from both directions, whether it be to travel back to Novallis Secorum or forwards through time to Avento Palace inside the Royal City of Gohtza. That means with the right maneuvers….you could travel directly through time."

Ming Numara: "Time!? Are you serious? I thought it could only travel one way….back to Novallis, but not both directions….If it can actually shift the fabric of time, this is a whole shocking reveal of news to me. I'm queen. I should know whether it could.."

Jansen: "Ming is right….Besides…she is an immortal, and that should help me out somewhere….Maybe I can join you guys if I make the right moves, right Kaim?"

Kaim: "This isn't any type of thing to joke over, Jansen….I have no choice except to go back through the portal. I am going to grab the Master Pip, bring up all of my key elemental gear and travel directly through the Mirrors soon. You have to stay steady and stand by….watch my back to ensure no one…not Tolten nor anyone else….Follows me through the portal."

Kaim: "Something has disturbed our world…..Something opened in the rift….Something tied directly to Gongora and Kingslaive Benedict….as in an ancient evil that lies directly behind them."

Sarah: "But why….Why now Kaim?"

Kaim: "The answer must be found, Sarah….and the answer must be translated, Ming. Only we have those answers….I recommend you follow after me Ming if for any reason I don't reappear very soon."

Sed: "You go for it Kaim, don't let anyone slow you down! We need to coordinate from our key team players. All together we will do this."

Tolten: "Kaim…Just one question here. If I was to join you and go back through, would I survive the trip? I mean….by stepping back through the Mirrors is what I meant."

Kaim: " (((Silence))) ….It's possible, Tolten….yet you will need to stay very close to me. Our Home world near Novallis is nothing like this Earthly place. It is a realm of mystery, ancient time codes and portals to many different divergent roads. It has an incredible atmosphere…."

Kaim: "It also has its own staffs, which we call the Eternal Engine Staff. And each of those separate out into four other conduits, which power their own individual staffs. Since you are a human here, in the Mirror world of Novallis….You will literally appear like silhouette of your human form. Then you will become solid…But the longer stay in Novallis, the more your body will bond itself to this dimension."

Sarah: "…And in the process it may be impossible for you to return here, if you stay too long Tolten. This is very dangerous, and it's why Kaim is imploring you not to follow him through without thinking about this much more carefully! Humans do not ever enter the Mirror realm….this time it might be ok."

Kaim: "Sarah, please. Let him follow me….Our first trip through shouldn't take too long. I can speak to our friend Margarie again and gain further insights on the Eternal Engine Staff. Remember, the problem is Seth disappeared without a trace. I have to get to the bottom of this, or any future we have together will be lost….and the same is true for our family. You must trust me, Sarah, please….Ming will come too."

Ming: "I will? Well I suppose, yet for now I am staying right here. I need to watch over Numara and my new husband Jansen also."

Jansen: "Oh you are too much, Queen! Maybe you should follow him through?!"

The group of them destroy an Arbiter-Deluxus and chuckle together as they watch an old recording of Gongora. The mansion belonging to Gongora still has problems…an evil energy field linked to the Kingsglaive is taking up residence there. Kaim knows this is the start of the journey….he knows he has to return to the world of Mirrors. He has to find out once and for all what caused the distortions.*

Kaim: "Tolten, follow me….The rest of you, take care of yourselves! I will be back and I will have Seth with me once I return. Trust me on this, the key secrets of the Staff in this world are linked to the Eternal Engine anomalies in the other world as well. I have to get to the bottom of it, and return to our old house that Ming lived at in Novus Crystarum. In the meantime…."

Kaim glances at Sed, Mack and Cookie.*

Tolten: "In the meantime, you all need to take care of Ming and the others. Do it for both of us. I am no king of this land if it's a land filled with deception still…."

Kaim: "Sarah, farewell. Tolten….the portal is opening. Get ready to cross into the rift….We have to move now, there's no time left. Goodbye Mack, Cooke and Sed."

Sed: "Bye! Return here soon, we're counting on all of you."

Cooke and Mack: "Bye Kaim, please return to us soon!"

Sarah: "Kaim! I can't lose you again…. Please find out what's happening and return soon!"

And with that, both Kaim and Tolten picked up the Golden sword and quietly transferred themselves through the mirror. It was a world of light, color and giant golden suns blazing down from the sky above. Kaim emerged through a hall of thirteen mirrors into an energy corridor.*

They fought two excelsior polymer giants, and three Aurochs. Then the energy corridor spanned outward into a long, extremely complex golden road of pure electric waves. There was pulsating waves that went across this dimension in all directions, as both Kaim and King Tolten entered into Novallis Secorum through the large golden-bronze gate. As they entered, the blue energy filled world began to beam into both of them from all directions. They entered the sanctuary, and met an all too familiar face that was here before time began.*

Margarie, Keeper of the Sanctuary: "Kaim! How wonderful to see you again…."

Kaim: "Not now, Margarie. Seth is missing….Have you seen any sign of her of recent times?"

Margarie: "No Kaim I have not at all. But Jerome is here to see you. He knew you would come." *she clutches a long, golden bronze locket*

Margarie: "There's been strange events…things happening around the four Eternal Engine conduits in our world. It all started three days ago after Gongora was destroyed. Something is…wrong."

Margarie: "The only way I know of to enter the Sacred Corridors and discover what triggered the anomalies, is with the Master Pip and the Pip's guidebook."

Kaim: "((((Silence)))) I understand, margarie…I have Pip's guidebook. But I need a few more key elements….I also need Pip's original energy shell too."

Kaim: "Margarie…Where is Seth? Did she travel into the Unknown void rooms…."

Tolten: "Margarie, please listen to him. He is my leader and it is critical we find where Seth has gone…"

Margarie: "I cannot tell you anymore right now….if you stay at the sanctuary, come find me in 3 hours."

Meanwhile, more than 30 miles from the heart of Novallis Secorum. Seth Balmore covered in a blue silhouette suddenly appears in this realm on her own pirate ship. She is phasing in and out of reality…..as something is clearly very wrong with the Grand Staffs and Eternal Staffs.*

Seth: "Wow….It's like I never left the ship! My ship is amazing here….Ryiiadia, is that you?"

Ryiiadia: "Seth! It's you, my gawd it's been AGES! I am so pleased to meet you here again. You are my sister after all. How was your trip on Earth?"

Seth: "…Well it was going great, until this Sorcerer Gongora followed us….who came out of Novallis here….I was curious Ryiiadia, there's a lot of stories to catch up on…" ((she curled her lip))

Seth: "And many that I would, literally love to share with you right now….But right now is not the time. Have you seen Gongora anywhere? I mean, any hints….anything that might indicate he's still alive or his servants are still here in our home world of Secorum."

Ryiiadia: "No, I've seen no sign of him….the universal prophet says he is dead. But I can tell you this, the Kingsglaive did show up…yesterday. Asking for Ming Numara too….traveling to different areas of the blue light islands. You know, since there's no water here….Your ship the Matador just travels in the blue energy currents thanks to the Eternal Staff cores. The water we have now is soaked in from the air."

Seth: "….What!? Dear Sister, you must tell me more. Tell me more of the full truth. Where is Pip…"

Ryiiadia: "If you come on my ship here, and we sail off for a few nights I can tell you everything. Just the other night the Kingsglaive that is connected to Gongora's mansion did show up here in our world. I was so shocked I screamed and told the Regent of Novallis. He has no idea what to do….with the anomaly."

Seth: "Well we don't have all the time in the world….So let's get to the Palace, and start working backwards through everything that happened. I'm not leaving my friends behind."

/Fade to a glowing tundra as the rest of the landscape begins to beam large swirls of golden light. Novallis Secorum is one of the most incredible displays at night, and now it is under siege./
