Naruto lay on the roof of his small apartment, staring up at the night sky. The moon hung high, casting a pale light over the village of Konoha. His mind was anything but still. After weeks of studying under Ryuu, the Genjutsu master, and experimenting with the eye on his chest, Naruto felt a shift within himself. The sensation was subtle but undeniable.
He had done something no other shinobi could—a feat of both chakra control and perception. He had learned to bend reality, at least in the eyes of his enemies. But something inside him hungered for more. His thoughts weren't just about becoming stronger anymore. They were about mastery. Mastery over everything.
And yet, as Naruto pondered the endless possibilities, two voices echoed through his mind—two voices that had always been with him, shaping him.
Naruto was suddenly plunged into darkness, but it wasn't the usual emptiness of his mind. This was different. This time, the space felt cold, distant, as if he were standing in the middle of a vast, empty void. The only source of light came from the glowing symbol on his chest—the same symbol that housed the eye of Boros, his strange, otherworldly power.
His fingers twitched as his chakra thrummed beneath his skin. This power... it was unlike anything he had ever felt before. It wasn't just the chakra of a human—it was alien, boundless, terrifying in its potential. And the more he accessed it, the more he felt like he was becoming something... other.
As he took a step forward, a low growl vibrated through the air.
"Brat..." Kurama's voice rumbled, low and dangerous, "I know what you're doing. You think this Genjutsu nonsense is a path to power, but it's just a crutch. It's weak. You're better than this."
Naruto didn't flinch. He knew Kurama would be angry. The fox had never liked the idea of using tricks to win battles. But there was something else in Kurama's words now—something that felt... worried.
"Shut up, Kurama," Naruto muttered, his eyes glowing faintly in the darkness. "I've got this under control. This is just another tool—another weapon. I don't need your lectures."
A snarl of frustration came from the fox. "You're digging yourself into a hole, kid. You're not the same as you were before—this power of yours, it's changing you. Don't forget where you came from."
Naruto clenched his fists, feeling the power of the eye surge within him. "I know what I'm doing," he said firmly, his voice echoing with cold confidence. "I'm becoming something more."
Suddenly, the air shifted again, and Naruto's surroundings began to warp and distort. The void around him shifted, and a massive throne appeared out of nowhere, sitting at the far end of the darkness. From the shadows, a figure emerged—a tall, imposing silhouette dressed in golden armor, his presence exuding power.
It was Boros.
Naruto's heart skipped a beat, but he didn't move. The being in front of him—his other half—was the source of his newfound strength. He felt that power growing inside of him every day, like an uncontrollable storm that threatened to consume him whole.
Boros sat on his throne, one knee crossed over the other, leaning lazily on his arm. His single eye—glowing with an eerie golden light—watched Naruto with an expression of faint amusement.
"You're using the eye," Boros said, his voice calm and deep, but with an undertone of something else—something darker. "I see you've decided to embrace deception, to bend reality to your will. I'm... impressed."
Naruto's gaze narrowed, his chest swelling with pride. "I can feel it, Boros. This power... it's like nothing I've ever experienced. When I use the Genjutsu through the eye, I can make my enemies see what I want them to see. It's... beautiful."
Boros' smile widened, but it was the smile of someone who had tasted far too much power. "Yes... it is. But this is just the beginning. The ability to manipulate the minds of others... the ability to create worlds of your own making... there is no limit to what you can do. Do you understand now? This is the true essence of domination."
Naruto's fists tightened, and for the first time, the weight of Boros's words hit him. "Control," he whispered, almost to himself. "I can control them. All of them. I can break them without ever touching them."
Boros laughed softly, a sound that sent a shiver down Naruto's spine. "You're starting to see the picture, Naruto. Power alone doesn't win wars. Control does. And with this, you can control everything."
