Chapter 9 "The Cat & The Jackal"
Emmalise came to and felt her forehead where blood coated her fingers. "Uhhhh," She moaned as she sat back in the seat of the car feeling as if she had her ass kicked harder than ever. "It looks promising, let's go check it out." Nephele said as she changed direction and began heading west to the jungle's edge.

"Foxes," Nephele said back to Courtney who crouched behind her. "We could follow them back to their camp, perhaps that is where the twin's are being held."

"At first when you said incestuous sisters I thought you meant miss Lucy and miss Ellie Courtney." Emmalise said, there was a rumor in school that they were dirty like that.
"Lucy and her sister? Whoa I didn't get that vibe." Eva said.
"It was a rumor, but it reminded me of them." Emmalise said.
"That's who we were sent here to rescue, it just happens we found you first." Nephele said.
"Well we are glad you did find us. This wandering in the woods is so not for us. I want to be back in Veronica's warm bed with Carl, riding him all night." Eva said.
"There will be no warm bed's for a while, girls." Nephele said. "Not until we complete our mission and find the others that is and in our drained state we can't afford another fight without a recharge from The Creed."
"Yeah, I mean how did those sisters wield flux?" Courtney asked.
"What concerns me more was how they drew it from nature it's self. It was nothing I've ever seen. Going up against an enemy we don't understand isn't wise." Nephele said.
The four of them huddled around the fire that night, finding warmth in each other's company as Hoyden cuddled up to Emmalise as much as she could.
