Chapter Twelve: The Baboon Brothers Strike Back
Out in the Pride Lands, chaos erupted as Janja and his hyenas chased a panicked herd of zebras.
Thurston: "Panic and run! Panic and run!" He shouted, his voice brimming with hysteria as he led the zebras in a disorganized stampede.
Janja: "It's time to feast on these zebras!" He declared, his eyes gleaming with hunger.
Cheezi: "Mmm, mmm, mmm, I love zebras." He said, licking his chops.
Chungu: "Me too!" He added, drooling at the thought.
But Janja's enthusiasm waned when he glanced back and saw the Lion Guard charging toward them, with Bobo riding on Fuli's back.
Janja: "Oh great, the Lion Guard's here." He groaned, rolling his eyes.
Kion: "Fuli, Bobo, lead the zebras away from the hyenas." His voice rang out, commanding and clear.
Bobo: "You've got it, Kion." He replied, his tone full of determination.
Fuli: "Huwezi!" She shouted as she sped off, quickly catching up to the herd. "Zebras, follow me!" She called out, running alongside the zebras.
Bobo leaped off Fuli's back, landing skillfully on one of the zebras.
Bobo: "That's right, zebras! Follow the cheetah!" He shouted, guiding the herd with energy and focus.
With Fuli leading the way and Bobo keeping the zebras in line, they safely steered the herd away from danger.
Janja: "Aww, the Lion Guard always ruins our fun!" He growled in frustration.
Once the zebras were out of harm's way, Bobo jumped from one zebra to another, trying to catch up with Fuli. He spotted a gap between himself and her, and he hesitated, eyes wide with uncertainty.
Bobo: "Oh, boy. That's a big jump." He muttered nervously.
Fuli: "Bobo, jump!" She urged him, running alongside the zebra Bobo was riding.
Bobo: "You can make it... you can make it." He steeled himself
Then, with a leap of faith, he launched himself off the zebra. His hands just managed to grab onto Fuli's tail.
Fuli: "I got you." She said with a reassuring smile.
Bobo: "Thanks, Fuli." He said, climbing up her tail and settling onto her back.
Together, they regrouped with the rest of the Lion Guard. Bobo hopped off Fuli's back as they faced Janja and his hyenas.
Fuli: "The zebras are safe, Kion." She reported, her tone steady and confident.
Kion: "Great job." He said, nodding before turning to Janja and his pack. "Janja, I'm giving you one last warning—stay out of the Pride Lands!" His expression hardened.
Janja: "How can we, Kion? We were just having fun... especially after we heard that Bongo has lost his memory." He replied mockingly.
Fuli: *snarls* Her ears flattened as she snarled.
Bobo: "Hey! Don't you dare talk about my brother, Janja!" He shouted, stepping forward.
Janja: "That's tough coming from you, Bobo. But Bongo doesn't remember a thing. And he ain't even here." He smirked.
Bongo: "That's what you think, Janja!" His voice rang out, determined.
The Lion Guard and Bobo spun around to see Bongo standing there, his eyes blazing with resolve.
Kion, Bunga, Fuli, Ono, and Beshte: "Bongo?" They exclaimed in unison, surprised.
Bobo: "Bongo, I thought we told you to stay put." He looked at his twin in shock.
Bongo: "Bobo, I'm fine, I promise. In fact, I've never felt better." He met his brother's gaze with a confident smile.
Fuli: "What if you get hurt again?" She stepped closer, concern flickering in her eyes.
Bongo: "I'll be a lot more careful this time, Fuli." His expression softened.
Fuli: "I'm glad you're here." She smiled warmly and leaned down to nuzzle him.
Bobo: "Come here, little bro." He grinned, pulling his brother into a playful hug and giving him a noogie.
Bongo: "Hehehe." He giggled, squirming but laughing at the gesture.
Janja: "How did you get your memories back?" His eyes narrowed.
Bongo: "I got them back because I was reminded of love, friends, and family." He stood tall, his voice filled with conviction.
The Lion Guard and Bobo all smiled proudly at his response.
Janja: "Doesn't matter. We're still going to take you, your brother, and the Lion Guard down!" He sneered.
A fierce battle erupted with the Lion Guard, the baboon twins against the hyenas.
Bunga: "Zuka Zama!" He leapt into action, shouting, as he tackled one of the hyenas.
Ono swooped down, pecking Nne and Tano with precision.
Beshte: "Twende Kiboko!" He bellowed, charging forward and sending the two hyenas flying.
Meanwhile, Fuli darted around Cheezi and Chungu, using her speed to create an opening.
Fuli: "Bongo, Bobo, now!" She shouted.
Bongo and Bobo: "Double Baboon Kick!" They yelled, holding hands as they charged at Chungu.
They leaped into the air and landed a powerful flying side kick, sending him tumbling.
Cheezi: *growls* He growled in frustration.
The twins exchanged a quick nod and executed the Tail Swinging Punch. As Cheezi tried to tackle Bongo, the young baboon slid under him, grabbed his tail, and swung him toward Bobo, who delivered a solid punch.
Nearby, Janja managed to pin Kion to the ground.
Janja: "Ha! I've got you now, Kion!" He gloated.
Bongo: "Bobo, let's do the Spinning Launch Kick." He spotted Kion in trouble and turned to Bobo.
Bobo: "Bongo, are you sure?" He hesitated for a moment, recalling their earlier failure.
Bongo: "We can get it right this time." He nodded with confidence.
Bobo: "Alright, let's do it." He grinned.
The twins clasped hands and began spinning around, gathering momentum.
Bobo: "Ready?" He called.
Bongo: "Ready!" He confirmed.
With one final spin, Bobo released Bongo, launching him forward. This time, the move worked perfectly. Bongo landed the kick directly on Janja, knocking him off Kion, sending the hyena tumbling backward.
Janja: "I hate those baboons!" He snarled as he staggered to his feet.
He looked around at his defeated pack and the Lion Guard standing tall with the baboon twins.
Janja: "Alright, boys, let's get out of here!" He barked.
Cheezi and Chungu: "Wait for us, Janja!" They cried, scrambling after him.
The Lion Guard and the baboon twins stood victorious as the hyenas retreated back to the Outlands.
