"The city of Mistral," said Qrow.
"Ugh, It's about TIME!" complained Nora.
"Well I think that trip went smoothly," said Seth sarcastically.
"Oh yeah," said Jaune, "Except loosing the map, splitting up, running into Tyrian, you almost dying, us almost killed by that Grimm..."
"Jaune," said Seth, "I was being sarcastic."
"Whose idea was it to walk again?" asked Nora.
"Well, we did face many obstacles on the way here," said Ren.
"Broken airships, destroyed settlements," said Pyrrha.
"Yes," said Ren, "It was a bit of a nightmare to get here. How much farther until we get to Haven Academy?"
"Almost there," said Qrow, "I thought I'd take you kids on the scenic route."
Qrow opened the doors, and they saw the city.
"THIS... IS... AWESOME!" yelled Ruby.
"Well, it's certainly something," said Qrow.
"OH MY GOSH, look at all the weapons!"
"Of course that's what you find the coolest, no surprise there," said Seth.
"Venders here will sell you just about anything," continued Qrow, "weather they should or not."
"They really made the most out of these mountains," said Jaune.
"Every inch. And stay away from the lower levels. But the higher up you go, the nicer it gets."
"And we are going up!" said Nora.
The team climbed up to the top, and arrived at Haven Academy.
"We made it," said Ruby, "we actually made it."
Ren stopped, and looked around.
"It's quiet," he said, "Too quiet."
"Something's not right here," said Qrow.
Qrow lead the way to the Headmaster's office, and all along the way, it was empty. No students, no teachers, not even a janitor. Soon, they arrived at the office, and Qrow opened the doors, to reveal... a man with a beard. They all, except Qrow, let out a shocked scream.
"Uh, Professor Lionheart?" asked Ruby.
Lionheart then gasped, "QROW! For crying out loud, you nearly scared me half to death!"
"Me?" asked Qrow, "Why weren't you at the entrance?"
The professor then looked at the time and said, "Oh, sorry, I guess time slipped away from me."
"You're kidding, right?" asked Qrow.
"Where is everybody?" asked Pyrrha. "Ah, you must be the students that Qrow mentioned."
"Yes sir, Ruby Rose."
"Jaune Arc."
"Pyrrha Nikos."
"Nora Valkyrie."
"Lie Ren."
"Seth Eaton. And this is Eva."
"Eh-voi!"
Eva did a cute wave.
"A pleasure to meet you all," said Lionheart, "Leonardo Lionheart, at your service. I'm afraid that most of my staff is currently away until classes resume, but-"
Qrow was getting impatient.
"Enough professor, what is the status of the relic?"
Lionheart was taken back. "Qrow, not in front of the children!"
"Sir, we already know," said Seth.
"Wait, you know about the relics?"
"Ozpin told us everything," said Seth, "Now the whole Team knows... well most of them do. But enough about us, what's been happening here?"
So, Seth explained everything, from how he arrived, to Beacon, and their journey here.
Lionheart then said, "I must say Qrow, this is very reckless, even for you."
"No," said Qrow, "Reckless is leaving one of the relics unguarded, it's not checking in with Oz for ages."
"There was nothing to check in about, before the Fall of Beacon, but since that day, Mistral has been in chaos! Vale wasn't the only kingdom to suffer that night. Everyone was watching. Every house in every kingdom saw that poor girl ripped to pieces, saw monsters crawling all over the city, Atlesian Knights attacking citizens and then nothing. You could feel the dread in the air."
Lionheart then paused, "With all that negativity, you can imagine what it was like when the Grimm came for us. Mistral's control territory is the widest reaching in the world, you know, and that makes it harder to protect. We lost so many great Huntsmen, teachers from this institution. And it's only gotten worse."
"What do you mean?" asked Ruby.
Lionheart answered, "We may have delt with the Grimm, but the Mistral Council is still at odds with it's representatives from Atlas. First it was the Dust embargo, now it's the closing of the borders. I'm not sure what happened to James in Vale, but it only seems to have worsened our intendancies. On top of that, we still don't know where the Spring Maiden is."
"All the more reason we need the Huntsmen and Huntresses here!" said Qrow.
"If only the Spring Maiden was here," said Lionheart.
"Why is that?" asked Ruby.
"The maidens are the only ones who can open the vaults where the relics are," said Qrow, "Winter for Creation, Summer for Destruction, Fall for Choice, and Spring for Knowledge. Considering that Alice is the lost Maiden, she could open all four vaults by herself, theoretically. Spring is the problem though."
"What happened to her?" asked Ren.
"She was determined at first," said Lionheart, "when she inherited her powers, but the weight of responsibility proved to be too much for the child. She ran, abandoned her training, everyone. That was over a decade ago. There's no telling where she could be now."
"How old was she?" asked Seth.
"Excuse me?" asked Lionheart.
"How old was she when she inherited the powers?" asked Seth.
Lionheart, and even Qrow, looked a bit uneasy, as Lionheart said, "Twelve years old."
Seth's eyes went wide, until he said, "WHAT THE F*K?! TWELVE?! HOW!?"
"Her mother died defending her home from Grimm," said Lionheart, "The last person she thought of was her daughter."
"I know," said Qrow, "At least, we have an idea of where, and it's not good. We believe she was picked up by the Branwen tribe."
"Raven," said Lionheart.
"Yang's mom?" asked Jaune.
"That's right," said Qrow.
The team walked out of the academy, and Nora asked, "What do we do now?"
"You all head back to the house," said Qrow, "I need a drink."
Qrow then walked off to a bar.
It was late, and he heard a voice say, "Um, excuse me."
Qrow turned to see a young boy walking up to him.
"You know I don't think they allow kids in here pipsqueak," said Qrow.
"Um," said the boy, "I'm supposed to say I would like my cane back."
Qrow then stood up and held the cane.
He then tossed it to boy and said, "It's good to see you again Oz."
The boy caught the cane, and it expanded into it's full glory.
At the house, the team heard a knock. Seth then opened the door, and looked down to see the boy from the bar.
"Can I help you?" asked Seth.
"Um, Is Ruby Rose here?"
Everyone then got tense, and Pyrrha asked, "Why?" "I found her Uncle!"
"I DID IT!" said Qrow, drunk, "I FOUND HIM!"
Qrow then fell on a couch, laughing. "Someone had fun," said Nora. "What is going ON out there!?" cried Ruby, "CAN'T A GIRL HER COMICS IN PEACE!?"
Qrow then burped, and Ruby asked, "Qrow, did you get drunk again?" "Maybe," said Qrow.
The boy looked at Ruby, saying, "Um, you have, silver eyes."
"Who are you?" asked Jaune.
"Well," said Oscar, "My name is Oscar Pine. But you probably know me as Professor Ozpin."
Everyone except Qrow gasped.
Qrow laughed and said, "I DID IT!" He then fell on the floor and passed out. "We need to put a collar on him," said Seth.
