The gray weather matches my mood, but Ladybug is one of those bright sparks, sending hope to my heart.

We meet at our usual spot, and she gives me a small smile. "How are you today?" she asks, as I sit down next to her. Though we don't know much about each other's lives, she knows I'm hurting.

"Actually, I could really use a hug right now," I whisper, and I see the faint glimmer of tears in her eyes as she smiles at me. "You know what?" she rubs her eyes. "So could I."

I gather her in my arms, resting my head against her shoulder, breathing in her soft smells of lavender and peaches, and it quiets my hurting heart. "Its good to hold someone when you feel numb," she tells me, and I close my eyes, rocking her gently back and forth.

A gust of wind blows up, promising coming rain, and the sky is thick with gray clouds, like a soft blanket.

We sit up, head resting on each other's. "Even on a gray day, Paris is beautiful," Ladybug murmurs. "The view is pretty," I whisper into her hair. "It is."

Pressing a kiss into her hair, we stand up to leave as the rain begins to fall. We say our goodbyes, knowing will see each other soon, and I head to Marinette's, where warmth, comfort, and dry socks beckon.

I smile as I walk up to the warm bakery lights, seeing Marinette smile from inside. "Did you know I was coming?" I ask, as she opens the door for me. She shakes her head, taking my hand.

"Adrien, I'll always keep a light on and in my heart for you."
