Can they solve the mystery of where everyone else has gone? Can they even survive in a barren wasteland that looks like a city? Rated M for the cold creeping terror of the unknown. Jaune loved his adoptive big sister, he really did. He just wished she could be a little less…well... evil. Still, Cinder saved him from their cruel adoptive mother and swore to look after him, so he can't abandon her. Maybe in between this whole "destroying the world" stuff, he can convince her to be a good person. She saved him so it's his brotherly duty to save her in return.

He thought he understood the differences between their species but he was about to undergo a crash course lesson, and all he can do is go along for the ride. Not that he is complaining about it. AU.

Jaune Arc, when he was a child, was taken in by the Rusted Knight, becoming his squire and training diligently in the Everafter for many years. Under the Rusted Knight's guidance, Jaune honed his skills and ideals.
