Deeks wasn't doing a lot of anything, which normally wasn't a problem but considering that he was in the gym meant that it was. You didn't exactly go to the gym to take a nap after all. But it wasn't like he didn't want to work out. He did. That's why he was at the gym after all. It's just that...he got distracted. Very distracted. And it wasn't his fault! Okay, maybe it was a little. Or a lot. Anyway. It wasn't like he could focus on his own exercises when that was happening right in front him!

That being Kensi going through her stretches. Slowly. And oh, so confidently. Had he mentioned just how flexible his partner was? And the fact that her clothes, despite covering everything left absolutely nothing to the imagination. Nothing.

Yes, he was staring - no, gawping - at his partner. Something that she didn't seem to particularly mind, keeping in mind that she was currently shooting him an upside-down smirk. She even purposefully twisted her body just so in a manner that made him give her both an appreciative look and a groan. That was teasing and it wasn't fair! She damn well knew the effect she had on him!

She was very much using that to her advantage right now. She even dared to scotch a little bit closer to him, somehow without breaking position.

"Aren't you going to work out?" Kensi asked innocently.

"I need to work something out," Deeks muttered under his breath.

Yes, he needed to work out just how much he could get away with right now. Or rather, how much Kensi would let him get away with. They were at work, after all. They did have rules. But, hey, rules were made to be broken, weren't they? That's what he was going with, anyway. Now just to get his partner to see things that way...

"Do you need any help with your stretching?" he asked, his eyes roving over the taut muscles of her stomach as she did a back bend.

She didn't answer him, focused on holding her pose. He came closer and she gave him a warning look that he promptly ignored. What could she do from the position she was currently in? Even Kensi wasn't that flexible. Be hoped anyway.

Oh well, fortune favours the bold and you only live once and all that. And Deeks was bold. Bold and possibly stupid but that never stopped him.

Which meant that be was perfectly free to do this.

"Babe?"

"Yes, my love?" Deeks asked innocently.

"Why is your hand on my stomach?"

"Oh?"

Deeks looked down at his hand in mock surprise, as if he was just realising where it was.

"Yes. Why?"

"Well, it's a good resting place."

"It's really not."

"No, see, it is," Deeks told her. "Because I can do this-" his hand drifted towards her ribs.

"Don't you dare."

Okay, even if she technically couldn't do something didn't mean that he had completely lost his senses. Deeks removed his hands from her ribs and instead traced a line down to her bellybutton.

"Or I can do this," he said in a low tone.

"Don't start something you can't finish."

"Oh, I can finish," he leered.

"We're at work."

"And?"

"Deeks."

His hands flew off her and he grinned at her flushed face. That was now scowling at him. It kind of lost its effect when she was straining to hold the position.

"I hate you," she grumbled as she struggled to adjust her stance now that her support (aka him) was gone.

"Love you too, Princess."

He settled back on his own mat to continue what he was doing before. That was, staring at his partner. Ahem. He meant admiring how flexible she was. Because there was an awful lot to admire there.

"I do believe actually doing the required stretches yourself instead of watching someone do them is far more beneficial."

Deeks let out what had to be the most embarrassingly high-pitched yelp he'd ever made as he fell forwards in shock. You tended to do that when your boss' voice was suddenly heard an inch from you ear.

"Everything okay there?" Kensi asked, unfolding herself from whatever strange yoga pose she had manipulated herself into. "Oh, hi, Hetty. Is there a case?"

That was far too innocent a tone and there was no way Kensi thought that she was actually going to get away with it.

"No. No case. Just wondering if half my team were getting any mischief."

The raised eyebrow she shot at both of them implied that she thought they had been.

"Nope, no mischief here," Deeks said quickly.

Their boss just stared at him. Which never got any less unnerving, by the way. Was that a disapproving look or an amused look? Could you do both at once?

"Because you 'helping' Miss Blye was not you trying to get into mischief?"

And there went the raised eyebrow. She had to practice that. It was so smoothly done.

"How did you-?"

She definitely hadn't been in the gym when he had done that (he wouldn't have dared). He stopped that train of thought because this was Hetty they were talking about after all. Of course, she knew.

"Never mind."

"Hmm."

Both of them shuffled in front of her like they were naughty schoolchildren. How did she have that effect on them?

"Please keep things appropriate. This is a federal building, after all."

Deeks was about to say something along the lines of how he was always appropriate but Kensi shut him up with a sharp nudge. Probably for the best.

"Of course, Hetty," Kensi replied, giving him a pointed look.

Yes, because he was the problem here. It took two to tango! Well, okay, he had technically started it... and done most of it... You know what? It was still both of their faults. That's what he was sticking with.

"Continue," Hetty dismissed them. "Oh, and Miss Blye? Make sure Mr Deeks lifts you up from your lower back. Not mid. Much better for your muscles."
