In the dungeons, Lloyd was pulling hard on his vengestone chains trying to break free. After he, his sister and Harumi were taken back to the city, he and Lydie were placed in separate cells, as Hutchins was aware they worked better together.
Lloyd struggled to break free as he sighed. "Why is it everytime I get myself into these messes, I get tied up." He muttered. "You think I'm used to it by now. And now Harumi and Lydie got caught. Heh, Hutchins is clever, but when I get out of these chains he's gonna get it."
Lloyd looked up at the chains as he tried to use his powers, but nothing as he groaned. "Of course, Vengestone." He muttered as he sighed. "Seriously, I should've taken those lock-picking classes." He muttered as he gave a sigh. "I hope Rumi and Lydie are okay. I mean, I know they can handle themselves, but against something like this, I don't know." He said in concern.
Just then Lloyd heard someone coming as it gave a groan. "Do you always talk to yourself, Golden Ninja?" A familiar voice spoke up as Lloyd turned and saw Hutchins by the cell. "It's honestly annoying."
Lloyd then gave a glare towards Hutchins. "You won't get away with this Hutchins, the others will come for me, Lydie and Rumi and put a stop to your plans of bringing my father back."
"Tch, please. I've managed to stay two steps ahead of you Ninja, took all the masks right from under your noses. You will never stop me from returning your father to his proper glory," Hutchins scoffed, confident in his plan, "It must be so disheartening, knowing your people will bend before their new master as everyone you love perishes while you are left here, helpless to stop it."
"My friends are gonna stop you." Lloyd said with a glare. "They'll get back to the city and they will stop you!"
"And if they somehow manage to do that, then we'll be ready for them." Hutchins told him before looking Lloyd in the eye. "Although, the Sons of Garmadon could use another member, be honest with me boy, don't you want to see your father again, to be by his side once again?"
Lloyd kept glaring at him. "My father isn't evil. He was greater than you'll ever be!" He stated.
Hutchins gave a sigh and shook his head. "You are always such a naive boy, you don't know how much of a hero the real Lord Garmadon is." He said. "How he managed to save Ninjago from the Great Devourer, while you Ninja failed."
"We helped him! And he only did that to get the Golden Weapons to rule Ninjago." Lloyd said a glare. "Even though we're heroes there's always a catch, heroes can't always save everyone, and a lot of people have lost something during the Devourer's attack like Harumi."
"Like you." Lloyd added with a slight glare that softened a bit. "You lost your wife and daughter from the Devourer like you told us back at the Oni temple."
Hutchins growled as he then recomposed himself. "Indeed. The loss of the ones I cared for still haunts me to this day. And so, I vow to avenge their deaths by doing what I must do to protect Ninjago, by returning the one true Dark Lord back to its throne." He said with a low tone. "And I will make it my mission to see you fall into that same realm of helplessness and despair I did."
Lloyd glared at him. "No matter what you do to me, Hutchins, you'll never bring me down to your level." He spat.
Hutchins merely hummed, "Yes, nothing to you will make you break, Golden Ninja." He started before an evil smile came to him, "What of someone else instead? Someone, closer to your heart?"
He then snapped his fingers as the curtains behind him pulled away as Lloyd felt his blood run cold when he saw who was chained to the wall, in just her green bra and panties. "Rumi?" He whispered in horror.
"Lloyd!" Harumi called out as she had a slight blush and small tears falling from her eyes. "Don't listen to what he says! He's just trying to break you!" She yelled out.
"Quiet you!" Hutchins yelled as Harumi flinched as he turned to the Golden Ninja. "So, Golden Ninja, still think I can't break you?" He mocked with a smirk.
"Let Harumi go! Or you'll regret it!" Lloyd called out with a rageful look, pulling against the vengestone chains.
"Or what, Ninja?" Hutchins taunted. "You can't even use your powers in those. So you're in no position to threaten me." He said as he brought his chain whip and stalked towards the frightful Harumi, "Where as I on the other hand, can do so much more." He said as he then swung his chain whip at Harumi.
The chain whip struck Harumi on her bare skin as she tried to hold in her scream as she gave a whimper. Hutchins then struck again on her stomach as she then started to shriek painfully but kept trying to hold her screams in.
"Stop it!" Lloyd called out as he pulled against the vengestone chains harder.
"Sorry, but I now understand that to break one as strong as yourself, you must watch the one you cared deeply squirm while you're powerless to do anything." Hutchins said sinisterly as he swung his chain whip again.
"Aah! Lloyd, don't-Agh! Listen to him-Nahh! You are stronger than-AHH! He could never be-YYAHH!" Harumi said through her yells of pain.
Hutchins decided to turn Harumi around as he tightened her chains as her back remained unmarked as he gave a smirk. "Try and stop this now, Young Garmadon. If you want to save your princess, you must be able to use the power you ninja love to boast about so much." He taunted as he swung his chain whip again on Harumi's backside.
Harumi screamed louder as her back was being struck repeatedly as Hutchins decided to go lower to her rear end as Hutchins stopped and gave a smirk.
"Time for you to be disciplined, young lady, as your parents should have such a sorry excuse for a princess." Hutchins mocked as he raised his chain.
"No!" Harumi yelled out before Hutchin swung his whip again on Harumi's rear end. "AAAAHHH! STOP!" She yelled out as Hutchins repeated the strike on the same spot as Harumi kept screaming in pain.
Lloyd tugged on the chain harder as he was near his breaking point as tears started forming, "Stop it! Just stop it, please! Leave her alone!" He yelled out.
"Not until I see that power of yours, Golden Ninja!" Hutchins yelled as he struck Harumi again as she screamed louder. "So tell me boy, how does it feel to be powerless to protect that which you hold dear, to simply watch as everything you love suffers?"
Lloyd's eyes began to glow purple and he growled before he noticed the resilient look in Harumi's eyes, despite the pain of the whipping, the embarrassment of being so exposed and the sorrow that she was being used to break him, she still chose to keep fighting.
Lloyd then became calmer as he gave Hutchins a firm glare, "No. You're wrong. Even if I can't protect her, Harumi still believes in me, still finding the strength to fight on no matter what you do to her." He said, looking at Harumi as she smiled at him, "And as long as she fights, I will fight!"
Hutchins looked at Lloyd in shock before he growled and threw his chain away. "You really are harder to crack, boy." He growled as he then had a thought. "Though, how about I go to the very ones who took you in, your friends and family?" He questioned with a smirk as Lloyd and Harumi looked at him in shock.
Hutchins then snapped his fingers as Enaz and Ultra Violet walked in, "This commoner girl is of no further use to me." Hutchins said, pointing to Harumi, "Throw her out and let's see her try and find a way to prevent Lord Garmadon's return."
"Yes, Watcher." Ultra Violet said as she and Enaz unchained Harumi and grabbed her by the arms.
"Wait! At least let me hold Lloyd! Just for a few minutes!" Harumi pleaded.
"Ha! Do you think we're that stupid?" Ultra Violet said.
Hutchins shook his head, "Let her say her goodbyes, it will be the last time they ever see each other." He said, gesturing for them to let her go.
Ultra Violet and Enaz looked at Hutchin for a moment before they shrug and let Harumi go as she quickly ran to Lloyd as she hugged him tightly as Lloyd returned the gesture, careful not to hurt her since her body was still aching from the whipping she took.
"I am proud of you, Lloyd." Harumi whispered as tears of joy fell from her eyes. "You're the strongest boy I've ever met. Don't worry, I'll find the others and we'll save you and Lydie."
"I know you will, Rumi." Lloyd whispered with a small smile. "I'll be waiting. I'm sorry for what they did to you."
"Don't worry, from surviving the Great Devourer's attack and a collapsing building while also enduring many adventures we had like Primeval's Eye, I've taken worse hits." Harumi assured as the two broke the hug as they gave loving smiles at each other. "I'll be back, just stay strong and never lose hope, Lloyd." She said,
She leaned close to him to kiss him but was grabbed by the shoulders by Enaz and Ultra Violet.
"Okay, time's up. No more of that mushy lovey-dovey stuff." Ultra Violet said in a dull tone as she and Enaz dragged Harumi out. "Come on, Princess. You're out of here." She cackled.
"No, Lloyd! Lloyd!" Harumi cried out as she was dragged away as she tried to reach out for him.
"Rumi!" Lloyd called out as he reached for her as well before they dragged Harumi out of the room as the door closed.
Hutchins then gave a sinister smirk. "Well then, shall we continue with the ceremony of bringing your dear father back?" He taunted as Lloyd growled. "Don't worry, your little family shall be in for a wonderful reunion, well, wonderful for us but for you, I sincerely doubt that." He taunted as he grabbed Lloyd's chain and unlocked them from the walls as he dragged him out of the room.
Meanwhile, back in Ninjago City, everyone was going about their day as a man stopped as he waited for the street light to change before he turned to his right and saw the other light was red as he groaned. "Oh, come on." He groaned as he honked his horn as the light was still read.
The man gave an annoyed look as he was about to drive off, but then stopped when the crab creature walked by with the NInja onboard while Pixal flew her mech behind them as the man watched in shock.
Soon, the Ninja arrived at the police station as an officer turned and gasped in shock at what he saw. "Uh…" The officer muttered uneasily.
"Hey, is the police commissioner here?" Morro questioned the officer who just nodded as the Ninja dismounted from the crab creature, "Oh don't worry about Crabby, he's harmless," He assured with a smile.
"Yeah, beneath the hard shell, he's just a big old teddy bear," Jay said with a smile.
"The best way to defeat an enemy is to make them your friend." Demir added.
"Isn't that right, Crabby?" Rose asked as she petted Crabby.
"Crabby!" Toddler Wu cheered while Skylor held him as Crabby gave a roar as the Ninja entered the station.
"Hey, what am I supposed to do with him?" The officer questioned them.
"Take him to the zoo." Nya answered with a shrug.
"We don't have a zoo!" The officer stated as Crabby gave a growl, while the Officer flinched from that.
Inside the station, the Commissioner is humming while working on a model ship as he carefully uses his brush to paint it slowly. "We need the Commissioner!" Kai's voice spoke up, startling the Commissioner as he barely messed up his model.
"He's not taking any visitors." An officer spoke up from the doorway.
"What?! Hey, we got an emergency here!" Seliel shouted.
"It's important." Cole spoke up.
"All of his work is important." The officer said.
"Don't make me zap you!" Jay warned before electric sounds were heard, making the officer moan as the Ninja rushed in.
"Commissioner!" Kai exclaimed.
"Thank goodness!" Rose said.
"Good to see you." Pixal said.
"There's no time." Demir said.
"Sorry, but it's urgent!" Cole shouted.
"As in incoming disaster urgent!" Skylor told him.
"We have to vacate!" Zane called out.
"Weapons. Lots and lots and lots of weapons." Jay said to him.
"Crabby!" Toddle Wu cheered.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! One at a time." The Commissioner said as he stood up. "Just shoot it to me straight. What's gonna do me in?"
"Pardon?" Pixal asked in confusion. "Do you in?"
"Every time something bad happens to the city, the first thing they do is can the Police Commissioner." The Commissioner said while gesturing to the picture of the other Commissioners before him. "So what is it this time? Subterranean mutant insects? Indomitable flesh-eating zombies? A pirate genie?"
"Pirate Giene?" Skylor questioned with a brow as the Ninja looked at each other with smirks, since they've experienced Nadakhan and the Sky Pirates in an alternate timeline.
"Yes, why not?" The Commissioner questioned with a shrug. "Anything can happen in this crazy town."
"Ah, don't be ridiculous, it's the Sons of Garmadon." Jay spoke up to him.
"They have Lloyd, Lydie, and Harumi." Morro added.
"And the three Oni Masks." Zane added.
"The Watcher-" Kai said.
"Who is Hutchins-" Nya added.
"Who survived the Fire at the Palace of Secrets." Rose stated.
"Is gonna resurrect the evil side of Garmadon tonight, and-" Demir tried to say.
"Just stop!" The Commissioner said with his arms raised. "The Master at Arms is behind all this?"
"Which is why we need you behind us." Morro said to him seriously. "Along with everyone on your force."
"Well you don't have to worry about one of your friends," the Commissioner said before going to his intercom, "Bring her in," He requested.
The door opened and the ninja turned to see a female officer escorting Harumi, wrapped in a blanket, inside. "Harumi!" They all exclaimed.
"You're all alive." Harumi said in huge relief as the others got her in a group hug before they separated.
"Harumi, what happened?" Seliel asked in concern after they noticed Harumi's condition.
"Let's say that when they kidnapped me, Lydie, and Lloyd, they decided to give me some 'special' treatment," Harumi explained as she opened her blanket and showed the many slashes on her body.
"Oh my Goodness!" Nya exclaimed as she covered her mouth in shock and horror.
"Hutchins stripped me down, slashed and whipped me everywhere, and he made Lloyd watch." Harumi said as she began to shake. "He made him watch me cry and scream, all to make him feel weak, to break him." She said while tearing up.
"He did that?!" Jay exclaimed.
"Oh, that's just low!" Kai called with a glare.
"So twisted!" Demir added with a look.
"And very evil." Rose added as she and Nya went up to Harumi.
"He's going to go through with the ceremony tonight, he wants Lloyd and Lydie to watch as they turn their father into a monster," Harumi said with fearful tears for her boyfriend, "We have to help them!"
"We will, and when we do that one-eyed freak is going down!" Morro said with determination as he cracked his knuckles.
"But we don't have much time." Harumi said with a worried look. "The ceremony is tonight. I heard one of the guards talking about it. I was lucky to escape when I did while they were distracted."
"Then we must get going. I'm not ready to lose my city just yet." The Commissioner said as he went to the phone and dialed in a number. "Person on the other end of this phone, get me the mayor." He ordered as it spoke to him. "Yes, I'll hold." He said as they all waited.
Back where the Garma-Twins and the Sons of Garmadon are, the Sons of Garmadon are guiding Lydie and Lloyd up while Hutchins took the lead as they climbed up the flight of stairs from the dungeon.
"He actually tortured Harumi?" Lydie asked her brother with a look of repulse.
"Yes. It was sick. But she was strong, like I was strong for her." Lloyd said with a glare towards Huchtins.
"Watch your tone, Ninjas." Hutchins said firmly. "The fight's all but over."
"Just where are you taking us?" Lydie questioned firmly.
"Working within the Palace of Secrets for some time, given me the chance to make a few alterations, you could say." Hutchins said with a smirk as they continued up. "The Palace may have been destroyed, but I was careful not to damage the Temple of Resurrection."
The Garma-Twins looked at each other before they entered and saw that they were in the Palace of Secrets, what's left of it as they were in the temple that was still intact with the Sons of Garmadon around doing the final preparations.
"The Ninja have survived, Watcher." Ultra Violet reported as she approached Hutchins. "They are in the City, and what's more, the princess is with them."
"That's my girl," Lloyd said proudly.
"I'm sorry, what was that you said about the fight being over?" Lydie mocked with a smirk.
"Let them come!" Hutchins shouted as he glared at the Garma-Twins. "If anyone tries to stop me, I always have my insurance policy." He said with a smirk as he gestured behind them and saw Misako being pushed by a biker into a cage.
"Mom!" The Garma-Twins exclaimed in shock and worry.
"Kids!" Misako exclaimed before her cage was lifted up. "He's crazy! He wants to bring back your father!"
"I've been so looking to this little family reunion." Hutchins said with a smirk.
"You let her go!" Lloyd shouted as he and Lydie struggled to break free.
"This is between us, Hutchins!" Lydie added with a glare.
"No, I wanted to make you all suffer." Hutchins said with a smirk as he turn to them. "We found her after she tracked down Young Wu. Helpful of her." He added as Misako and the Garma-Twins stood quiet. "Prepare the ceremony. We begin at nightfall." He ordered as he walked off.
"We won't let you get away with this!" Lydie shouted as Hutchins walked off calmly as Ultra Violet turned to them with a laugh.
"Or what? You'll both cry?" Ultra Violet taunted as she gave a mocking sad look.
Lydie then turned to her glowing purple eyes and angry snarl, "Do I look like I'm crying?" She said in a low tone that sent a chill down Ultra Violet's spine.
Soon, it was nightfall as a bunch of Sons of Garmadon were all over as the people ran away in fear to get away from them as Kai watched from the rooftop with a gasp. "We were right. The streets are teeming with S.O.G." He whispered to the comchannel as a boon was pushing an innocent guy away with a laugh. "They don't want anyone getting close to the palace."
"Then we know that's where the Ceremony is taking place," Morro said over the comms as Kai turned to the palace where the Sons of Garmadon guarding it. "Operation Undercover is a go."
"Copy that." Kai nodded as he then walked off.
Back at the palace, the Garmadon Family are in cages, while Lydie was in the center between her brother and Mother while she was chain down from the cage machine where her mother and brother are while Enaz stood guard before Ultra Violet and Hutchins came in with Hutchin carrying a bow. "What do you want?" Lydie questioned.
"The three Oni Masks alone won't bring back your father, for the ritual to succeed I also need a hair from the daughter." Hutchins then took a piece of Lydie's hair before turning to Lloyd. "The son." He said before taking a piece of Lloyd's hair. "And the wife." He said as Enaz lowered the cage as Hutchins walked up to Misako.
"Don't touch her!" Lloyd yelled before Hutchins plucked a hair out of Misako's head, who gasped.
"You!" Misako growled in venom with a glare.
"And I already collected one from the brother, dear little Wu." Hutchins said with a smirk. "So are we all ready to begin?"
"Don't worry, Mom. Our friends will stop this." Lyie said to their mother.
"And if they try, they'll have to make a choice." Hutchins said with a smirk.
"A choice? What choice?" Lydie asked as Hutchins went up to the lever and pulled it, causing Misako to be lowered down close to the water.
"No! The Garma-Twins called out as Misako was lowered closer before Enaz pulled the lever, stopping the cage just above the water as Misako gasped as some hungry fishes were in the water.
"Save your mother, or their beloved Golden Ninja." Hutchins said with a smirk.
"You Snake!" Lydie snarled at him as she pulled on her chains. "When I get my hands on you I'm gonna break you apart!"
"Whatever happens, that man he wants to bring back is not your father!" Misako called out to her kids. "You two must not let it happen!" She called out as the Garma-Twins struggled to break free.
Meanwhile at the Palace's gates, the three generals and some of the biker goons are standing guard. "Does the Watcher need the masks?" Killow asked Ultra Violet.
"Not yet." Ultra Violet answered. "Any sign of the Ninja?"
"There's been no sight of them." Killow answered, which made Ultra Violet turn to him.
"Remember, they're Ninja. They don't like to be seen." Ultra Violet reminded him, which Killow nodded. "Be ready." She advised as Killow brought out the Mask of Deception.
"I am." Killow said with a smirk before siren sounds can be heard.
"NCPD on route to our position." Enaz informed them while pointing ahead.
On the streets, a bunch of police cars are driving up from the road to the palace. "All units! Approach with caution!" The Commissioner through his radio. "I don't want any heroes out there." He advised as the police went up to the palace as they stopped at the front gate while everyone argued while trying to get out.
The Commissioner then opened the door and grabbed a megaphone from another cop. "Okay, we don't want any trouble, we can resolve this peacefully!" He said through the megaphone.
"Oh, where's the fun in that?" Ultra Violet asked with a smirk while Killow already had his mask on.
"We have reason to believe you have trespassed onto these premises, and are about to engage in some pretty illegal activity." The Commissioner stated. "But if everyone comes out with their hands up…" He was cut off when Killow raised a hand, causing the megaphone to float out of his hand. "Alright, uh, my megaphone is floating." He said uneasily as Killow moved the megaphone over the water with a laugh as he dropped it in the water. "I guess we can't resolve this peacefully. Light em' up!"
The police then pulled out their guns and armed them up. "And arrest them!" The Commissioner yelled as he pointed forward as the police officers all gave a battle cry as they charged in and they started fighting the Sons of Garmadon while gunshots were firing as the Commissioner pulled out his radio. "You wanted a distraction, you got one."
"Now save the city, Ninja." The Commissioner said while Kai was in a sub vehicle, riding below water.
"Thanks, Commissioner. We got it from here." Kai assured as he spoke through another channel. "Pixal, get me to the palace."
Back at the police station, Pixal was monitoring Kai's position with Harumi and Toddle Wu beside her while Harumi held Toddler Wu as he giggled. "You're going to make the first left, then a right." Pixal informed.
"Copy that." Kai said as he moved to said direction.
Back at the palace, the Sons of Garmadon and Officers were still fighting each other before Ultra Violet steps in and puts on the Mask of Hatred as she turns invincible. "Don't move!" An officer called as two officers fired their guns at her, but they deflected out of her armor as she gave a crackle and then crushed the two guns with her bare hands as she pulled out her sais as the officers ran off with Ultra Violet behind them.
Kai kept moving before he stopped when he saw a net cage blocking his way. "Uh… Pix. I got a fishing net in the way." Kai said to her. "This path is blocked."
"I can reroute you." Pixal said while in the comms.
"There's no time. Hold on." Kai said as he pressed a button, firing his two harpoons onto the net, cutting it open as Kai drove through the hole.
"Did you tell yourself to, hold on?" Pixal questioned Kai with a brow.
"It felt like the moment needed it." Kai said in embarrassment. "I'm picking up the others now."
Back on the fight, the police force was being overwhelmed as Killow laughed and levitated a police car and piled it on the others.
At the fishing area of Ninjago City, the rest of the Ninja were in scuba gear as they waited and then Kai came up from below as they all jumped down into the water. "Hold on." Kai said to them as they held onto the side of his sub. "And for the record, I was telling that to the others, not myself." He quickly said to Pixal as they drove off in the water.
The Commissioner looked down to the water below and saw them going below. "Go, Ninja, go." He whispered.
The Ninja then went to one of the tunnels that lead into the palace. "You got us to the palace. Thanks, Pix." Kai said with a smile
"Do take precaution." Pixal said before Harumi appeared behind her.
"Bring Lloyd home, Ninja," Harumi pleaded to them.
"And Lydie too," Morro said in a teasing tone.
"O-Of course, that goes without saying," Harumi said in embarrassment.
"We will." Kai assured her with a determined smile. "And you two take care of little Master Wu. See you two on the other side."
Back at the Palace of Resurrection, the three generals walked back with the three Oni Masks as Hutchins turned to them. "Good, you've brought the masks." Hutchins said to them. "Any trouble?"
"Nothing the others can't handle." Killow assured with a smirk.
"Then the ceremony is ready." Hutchins told them before turning around, "However, there's just one, just one more thing we require," He said, looking directly at Lydie, "You. You are the last piece of the puzzle." He said, walking up to the girl.
"Me?" Lydie said in confusion. "What do you need me for?"
"Don't you know?" Hutchins asked with a smirk. "The power of Lord Garmadon flows through your veins, while the Oni Masks are the keys to bringing him back, your power is the hand to turn them." He explained as he looked at Lydie. "Once the spell begins your power of Darkness will activate the masks and pull Lord Garmadon back into our realm."
"You wouldn't dare." Lydie said with a glare. "I won't help you."
"Oh, but you would." Hutchins said with a smirk as Killow and Ultra Violet grabbed Lydie and pulled her and chained her down to the center of the area. "Whether you like it or not."
"You won't get away with this Hutchins!" Lloyd called out to the S.O.G. leader. "Our friends are coming for us, and they will stop you!"
The Sons of Garmadon then all gave an amusing laugh. "Hear that? They'll stop you." Ultra Violet said in amusement.
"You put too much faith in your friends, boy." Hutchins said with a look.
"And you put too little." Misako taunted.
"Only thinking about yourself. Which is just sad." Lydie added with a smirk as Hutchins gave her a glare before turning to his generals
"Place the masks in position." Hutchins ordered as the three generals then formed a triangle around Hutchins and Lydie as he then stood by the pillar with Lydie in front of him. "Clotho-venge.. Clotho-decer…" He started off as the platforms began to move. "Clotho-ha-eed!" He called as the Oni Masks began to float and stood in positions as the generals moved back as the platforms began to form a position.
"Kids! It's starting. Where are the Ninja?" Misako asked desperately as Lloyd gave a concerned look as Lydie struggled to break free as her hands lit up with her powers.
"Urgh, W-What's happening?!" Lydie strained.
"Clotho-venge… Clotho-decer… Clotho-ha-eed!" Hutchins called as the three Oni Masks lit in purple flames as they shot beams together as the platform glowed around Hutchins and Lydie as she struggled to break out while feeling her powers out of her control as the beams hit her as she yelled in pain.
"Lydie!" Misako cried out in concern.
"Clotho-venge! Clotho-decer! Clotho-ha-eed!" Hutchins called as Lydie kept groaning as Misako and Lloyd watched in concern and worry.
By the bridge of the river near the palace, a biker saw the scuba gear as he rushed up and inspected it as he was about to make a call, but Nya covered his mouth and quickly pulled him out of sight.
"I can't believe we're stuck on foot patrol duty." Mohawk complained with his partner as Nya made a hand gesture. "We're missing all the good stuff."
"Tell me about it." Luke said as Jay rushed off before he was spotted. "I hear he's opening…" He was cut off when Kai flipped over the stairs. "...vortexes and stuff." He said as Cole was above a roof.
"Ah, man, someone better take pictures." Mohawk complained as the Ninja all stood together as they climbed up to the rooftops.
"Clotho-venge… Clotho-decer…" Hutchins continued his recitation as everyone was being filled on camera. "Clotho-ha-eed!" He yelled as the beams spun around. "Rip the fabric between realms! Oni, I call upon you… connect me to… the departed realm!" He yelled as the platforms stopped as three of the Oni Masks symbols formed and glowed on the floor as the beams then shot down and hit Lydie, which made her scream in pain from the hit before the beam shot up and opened a portal above them.
Hutchins was surprised by this as he gave a smirk. "Yes." He said as the wind blew around as the beam stopped as Lydie sighed in relief as the flames went out and it circled around Lydie and Hutchins.
"Kids!" Misako cried out as Lloyd tried to break free while Lydie groaned from the power she was forced to open the portal as the wind grew stronger as the camera was blown away as Hutchins gave a maniacal laughter.
"So…" Luke started.
"So what?" Mohawk questioned.
"I know we're supposed to watch for Ninja, but I feel like all the cool stuff is happening behind us." Luke said to his partner. "Should we look?"
"I'll look if you look." Mohawk said before they turned and saw Hutchins laughing while the rift was opening up as the Ninja sneakingly rushed up the stairs. "Wow… That's awesome." He said before the two turned and saw the Ninja in front of them.
"What's awesome?" Cole questioned before the two were taken down as the Ninja saw what was happening.
"I call upon thee, lord of many names." Hutchins said while looking at the rift. "Lord of Destruction! King of Shadows… Lord Garmadon!" He announced. "Garmadon!"
"Who… calls me?!" Lord Garmadon's voice spoke up from the rift, which shocked the Garma Twins while Hutchins gave a smirk.
"Father." Lydie whispered in shock.
"Leave our father alone!" Lloyd shouted while gripping the bars, but Hutchins ignored them as he kept his eyes on the rift.
"W-What was that?!" Rose asked nervously.
"That sounded like Lord Garmadon." Cole said worriedly.
"That was Garmadon?!" Demir exclaimed in shock. "He sounds way different than last."
"Trust us, that's only his evil side." Kai said to them.
"Well I don't wish to see his evil side, we need to stop this." Rose whispered in fear. "Quickly."
"Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's go!" Morro yelled as they drew their weapons and charged in as the other Sons of Garmadon tried to fight them off, but the Ninja were easily knocking them back.
Hutchins turned and saw this. "The Ninja!" He yelled.
"Guys! Wait!" Lydie shouted.
"It's a trap!" Lloyd shouted, which made the Ninja turn to them in confusion.
"What?" Kai asked in confusion.
"Start the wheel!" Hutchins ordered as the three generals pulled the lever and Lloyd was lowered down to the water.
"Lloyd!" Lydie cried out.
"Help him!" Misako pleaded to the others.
The others looked down and saw Lloyd being lowered. "You have to stop the ceremony!" Lloyd shouted as he was put below water as the fishes growled while trying to bite him as Lloyd held his breath.
"Stop the ceremony or save Lloyd," Skylor said in concern.
"Yeah, that's a tougher." Seliel muttered as Jay quickly did Spinjitzu as Kai joined in and knocked the three generals back.
"Follow my voice!" Hutchin yelled out. "Feel my presence! Join me, Lord Garmadon!"
"Who…. Are…. You?" Lord Garmadon asked.
Lydie grunted as she looked up. "Father! Don't listen to him! Stay where you are and be at peace!" She yelled out to the rift as Hutchins glared at her.
"We have to stop him!" Kai shouted.
"Or maybe we should save our friend from drowning!" Demir countered.
Zane drew his arrow and shot it, but Enaz blocked the arrow with his sword "Termination mode activated." Enaz as the Ninja fought him back as Lloyd was still drowning as the piranhas tried to bite him.
"I can't get to Hutchins!" Kai shouted out as he pushed against the wind.
"Morro! Can't you do something?!" Seliel asked.
Morro tried to use his powers to break the wind away, "I'm trying! The wind won't respond!" He shouted as he couldn't control the wind.
"Who's gonna save Lloyd?!" Nya questioned as she kicked back a biker.
"On it!" Cole called as he charged at Killow and Ultra Violet as he swung his hammer, pulling the switch the other way as Misako yelped as she was pulled down while Lloyd got up as he took his breath.
"Lloyd!" Misako cried out as she held her breath before she went under as Cole knocked Killow back.
"Let's get you out of here!" Cole said to Lloyd.
"Don't help me, help her!" Lloyd gestured to his mother as Cole looked down.
"Oh, yeah. Coming, Mrs. G!" Cole called as he pulled the lever again, but Ultra Violet grabbed the lever as well.
"Hm, hello again." Ultra Violet said with a smirk as the two two kept pulling the lever side to side.
"A… little… help!" Cole grunted as Kai did Spinjitzu towards them and cut the lever with his sword, which made him realize what he did.
"Oops." Kai said sheepishly as Lloyd was lowered down as Misako was pulled up.
"Lord Garmadon… follow my voice! Follow the shadow!" Hutchins yelled out as Enaz charged at his duplicate, which Zane blocked his sword as he knocked him back, which Enaz's sword fell into the water as Zane kept his arrow aimed at his duplicate.
"Yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi!" Ultra Violet screamed as he charged at Seilel and Skylor, who double kicked her back as Ultra Violet knocked her down.
"Someone get him out of the water!" Misako cried out while looking at where Lloyd was.
"Nya, you are the Water Ninja!" Jay called out as Nya picked up her weapon.
"You don't need to be a Water Ninja to do this." Nya said as she threw her spear where Misako's cage change was at, keeping it in place.
"Cole, get Lloyd up! Use your lava arms!" Misako called out as Cole summoned his Earth Punch and then pulled the gears and got Lloyd up as he took a deep breath as Cole used his powers to bend the bars open.
"Thanks. You okay?" Lloyd asked his mother, who nodded.
"Stop him and help your sister, son." Misako encouraged him as they turned to Hutchins with Lydie, while the former laughed as Lloyd tried to get to them, but he was blown back.
"It's too fast!" Skylor called out.
"Maybe you can use Spinjitzu to get inside." Demir suggested as Lloyd stood up as Lord Garmadon laughed mechanically.
"That doesn't good." Kai said as he took off his mask, as did the others.
"Not good at all." Morro said in dread.
"What's happening?" Zane asked.
"You're a Nindroid! You give answers, not questions!" Jay exclaimed in panic.
"It's him." Lloyd started.
"It's father." Lydie added as the temple then sparked up as it began to crumble as it formed a face with purple eyes as Garmadon groaned.
"I hear you. Feel you. Come… be mortal once again!" Hutchins yelled out. "Your children want to stop you, but I want to make you stronger!" He called as the wind grew stronger as the others held on while Garmadon groaned louder. "It is I, Hutchins! Come to me, follow my voice!"
"Hut…chins?" Garmadon repeated.
"Your time is now!" Hutchins yelled.
"No! Father! Don't listen to him! You don't need to come back!" Lydie cried out as she looked up to the rift. "It's me, father! It's Lydie! Your daughter! Please stay in the Departed Realm and preserve your legacy as Ninjago's greatest Elemental Master!"
"L-Ly….die?" Garmadon repeated in a strain voice.
"You shut up, Purple Ninja!" Hutchins yelled out. "Do not listen to your daughter! She doesn't care about you!" He called out to Garmadon.
Lloyd gave a yell as he pushed through the wind as he and Lydie glared at Hutchins. "Neither of you can stop it! The end is near!" Hutchins exclaimed.
"Not when we stand in your way!" Lydie yelled as she turned to her brother. "Now, Lloyd!" He called out as Lloyd then did Spinjitzu, but he was being pushed back as everyone else did Spinjitzu to give Lloyd a push while Seliel and Skylor watched as the Ninja all screamed.
"Jay!" Kai shouted to the Lightning Ninja.
"On it!" Jay called as he was about to do Spinjitzu, but Killow caught his arm as he gave a laugh before Jay shocked him, setting him free as the Ninja pushed Lloyd forward as he used his powers to cut Lydie's chains free as the Garma-Twins then knocked Hutchins out, breaking the ritual.
They looked up at the rift as Garmadon gave a scream as Hutchins watched in horror. "No…" He muttered as he watched the rift closed. "NOOOO!" He screamed as he desperately reached out to the rift as it completely closed as the Oni Masks fell as Hutchins looked up as he panted in defeat and laid on the pillar.
"Father." Lloyd started.
"We're sorry." Lydie muttered as she and Lloyd looked up at where the rift was as they lowered their heads in silence as they held onto one another in comfort.
"Come on, boys, let's clean house." The Commissioner said as he and the officers rushed in and cheered to the NInja as they then arrested the remaining Sons of Garmadon before Simon and Tommy walked up to Hutchins, who turned to them.
"Sir, you are under arrest." Simon said firmly.
"No!" Hutchins yelled as the two cops grabbed him. "Don't you dare touch me!" He demanded as he was dragged away.
"We got him! We got him! We got him!" Seliel and Cole shouted as they pinned Killow down with a cop.
"Did we… Did we actually do it?" Rose asked in wonder.
"We did." Kai said with a smile as everyone cheered for the Ninja as the Garma-Twins helped their mother out.
"We're-We're sorry." Lloyd started.
"We're sorry we dragged you into this, mom." Lydie apologized solemnly.
Misako sighed. "You two didn't drag me into anything. This isn't either of your fault." She assured them.
"We should've known." Lloyd said. "We should've known it was Hutchins sooner."
"We could've stopped all this sooner." Lydie added.
"Both your only mistakes are that you two are trusting, good, and see the best in people." Misako assured as Lydie and Lloyd turned to each other with small smiles at their mother's words, knowing that is true of them.
Soon, they are at the front gates of the ruins of the royal palace as they see the Sons of Garmadon being taken away as the cops turn to their heroes and cheer for them as the Ninja all waved to them with smiles.
Pixal, Harumi and Toddler Wu soon arrived, "Lloyd!" Harumi exclaimed as she handed Toddler Wu to Pixal and rushed over to her boyfriend.
Lloyd turned and saw Harumi rushing towards him. "Rumi!" He said with a smile as Harumi jumped into his arms as Lloyd gave a surprised yelp as he returned the gesture with a laugh and spun her around.
"I see you all have succeeded." Pixal said with a smile.
"Crabby!" Toddle Wu cheered with a laugh.
"And I see you found out about Wu." Misako said with a chuckle.
"We managed to stop the ceremony." Skylor said with a smirk.
"Though, while seeing it, it was a shock." Seliel added as Lloyd and Harumi broke the hug.
"It's finally over, Rumi. The Sons of Garmadon are finished." Lloyd said as Harumi smiled.
"And your father can rest in peace." Harumi said as she looked at the cops before she frowned when she saw Hutchins being taken to an empty truck alone. "Now to settle the score." She growled as Harumi stormed towards where Hutchins was at.
"Uh, Rumi?" Lloyd asked.
Hutchins sat alone but before the door closed, Harumi stepped up to him, "You come after my home. Come after my family. Come after my people. Come after my best friend," She said before grabbing Hutchins by the throat, "Now you deal with me!" She said in anger.
"P-P-Princess, let's just talk about this…" Hutchins groaned as he felt the tight grip from Harumi by the throat.
"I find that actions speak louder than words!" Harumi growled as she tightened her grip.
"Harumi!" Lydie shouted, which made Harumi turn and saw her and the other Ninja looking at her in worry. "Don't do it."
"This Snake tortured me to hurt Lloyd, killed my parents, terrorized our people all to disgrace your father's legacy! You're telling me he deserves to live?!" Harumi demanded. "Frankly Lydie, I'm surprised you're not doing the same thing I'm doing right now!"
"Trust me, I've been feeling the urge to do so since we found out about this guy." Lydie said while gesturing to Hutchins. "But you shouldn't be doing this. This isn't justice, nor will this bring your parents back." She told her as Harumi felt conflicted. "Remember what we told you: holding onto hate…."
"...is like trying to throw a hot rock." Harumi said before looking at The Ninja again before sighing and glared at Hutchins. "Only you get burned." She finished before letting go of his throat. "You have officially beaten Pythor as my Number 1 on my hate list. Don't ever show your face around me again."
"N-Noted." Hutchins said with his breath returning as he glared at the Ninja. "But be advised, I'll be back with vengeance." He growled with a glare.
"Don't you worry princess, whatever this crook keeps in that head of his about the Emperor And Empress, you'll be the first to know," the Commissioner promised.
"Good, make sure he never gets out." Harumi warned as the Commissioner nodded as he closed the door as Hutchins gave a yell of fury as he was driven away from them as Harumi sighed as Lloyd placed a hand on his shoulder.
"The Past is the Past," Lloyd told her with a proud smile.
"And the Future is the Future." Harumi finished with a smile. "Thank you for always being there for me, Hero Boy."
"And thanks for being by my side, Princess." Lloyd said as the two shared warm smiles right before Harumi grabbed Lloyd's face and brought him into a kiss.
The two broke away and continued to smile before a high pitch squeak caught their attention and turned to the others, who were giving surprise looks while the girls gave a high pitch squeals as they all then shared small smirks.
"Knew it." Lydie said with a smug smirk.
"About time." Kai said with a smirk with his arms crossed.
"You two crazy kids finally got hitched," Morro added, smirking as well.
"And it only took about, hmmm, since they've been turned into teenagers." Jay joked with a chuckle.
"It was so cute!" Rose, Nya, Skylor, and Seliel squealed with their hands together.
"Most excellent," Zane said with a simple smile.
"And so the Princess has found her prince," Pixal said with a grin.
"Heheh, congrats you two." Cole said with a smirk.
"Way to go!" Demir cheered as the others kept chatting while Lloyd and Harumi gave embarrassed blushes.
"Maybe we should've hugged or did a fistbump." Lloyd said sheepishly as Harumi gave a giggle.
"It's alright. They were gonna find out eventually. But, at least this whole Oni Masks and Sons of Garmadon are finally over." Harumi said in acceptance.
Misako then approached the two with a proud and motherly smile, as she held their hands, "Congratulations, my son," She started, looking at Lloyd before turning to Harumi, "And I would say, welcome to our family, Harumi, but you are already part of it," she said as Harumi smiled back as the others gathered around offering their own words of congratulations to the new couple as they glad that they stopped the ceremony and took down Hutchins and the Sons of Garmadon before they could succeed.
But back at the Temple of Resurrection, all was quiet before at the center of the pillar, everything lit up in purple flames before the arm of Garmadon, Lord Garmadon, popped out of the pillar, the Ninja were too late to stop the ceremony, and now…
Lord Garmadon has returned.
