A few days after escaping from the mall, the Rats were out at sea with their boat rocking around by the waves.
"How long till we make landfall?" asked Amber to Zak.
"Tomorrow evening we'll reach a port that's far enough away from the mall and surrounding area so it should be safe for now," said Zak.
"It doesn't matter if it's safe or not, Baby Jay and Brady aren't doing good," said Trudy while looking at the kids who were flushed and looking tired. Amber used a towel to wipe their foreheads of sweat.
"I hope there's someone with medical skills where we land," said Bray. They all then got ready to sleep as the sun began to set in the distance.
"What the?!" asked Ebony who was awoken hours later by water splashing her.
"This storm came out of nowhere!" said Zak as the boat was violently rocked by waves.
"Hold on to something!" said Slade before another wave hit. This time the boat capsized, sending everyone into the water.
"Amber, Jay!" yelled Bray as his head bobbed in the waves.
"Over here!" said Amber while waving one of her arms and holding the baby in the other as he cried.
"Try to stay together!" said Lex.
"Wha… what is that?!" asked Sammy as he noticed a bright light coming from the sky.
"Oh crud!" said Ram before a bolt of lighting shot down at them.
"You have to be kidding me," thought Amber as they all sunk into the waters.
"After everything we have been through, we end up dying to a storm at sea?" she thought while everything around her went black. The last thing she saw was another light that this time came from the water under her.
