On the other side of the world, at the crack of dawn, the Temple of Blood began to shake as though an earthquake was taking place. Inside, a furious Mother Mayhem was throwing a tantrum on the open rooftop, her dark magic wreaking havoc and destroying a number of her armored henchmen in the process.

"THAT ARROGANT FOOL!" she screamed, her voice echoing through the temple.

As Mother Mayhem continued her rampage, Shino, Kiba, Akamaru, and a masked girl in robes entered, casually walking through the chaos. Henchmen were being flung off the ledge, and Kiba couldn't help but feel a mix of fear from Mother Mayhem's wrath and empathy for the poor henchmen being brutally murdered just because their master was upset.

The obviously brainwashed Team 8 knelt before Mother Mayhem. She turned her attention to them after effortlessly flinging another henchman off the ledge, this time with just her bare hands.

"Sebastian has failed," she spat, her eyes blazing with fury. "The fool had only ONE JOB, and now the Lord's plans have been delayed."

Kiba sneered. "What a moron. I knew we should've backed him up. I've been waiting for years to get my rematch with that knucklehead. Right, Akamaru?"

Akamaru growled in agreement. "Absolutely… How I have LONGED to take my revenge on that brat for turning you against me."

Mother Mayhem let out a slight chuckle, startling Team 8.

"Mother?" Kiba asked, concerned.

Mother Mayhem gathered herself and sat down on the nearest chair. "I am alright, my furry child. Your response has some unintentional humor behind it."

Shino stepped forward. "What shall we do now, Mother? Brother Blood was our strongest, and we have yet to hear from the others."

Kiba's eyes gleamed with a dangerous yet comical light. "I say we just storm the tower or wherever they're keeping Naruto and just take him. I took down one of those Titans without breaking a sweat, so if they're that weak, we shouldn't have a problem going in packs."

Mother Mayhem shook her head. "While I do admire your initiative, Kiba, the fact remains that they were still able to defeat Sebastian along with his strongest demons…"

With the odds pretty much against them, Mother Mayhem took a moment to think before standing up and walking past Team 8. "I must consult with Lord Trigon. He will hate my report, but I can only pray to him that a solution will arise… IF he allows me to live."

She turned to the masked girl. "Hinata, come with me. The rest of you will stay put until we return. Understood?"

"Yes, Mother," Shino, Akamaru, and Kiba chorused.

Mother Mayhem and Hinata headed back inside the temple, making their way downstairs. With the coast now clear, Kiba couldn't help but express his anger by kicking one of the dead henchmen lying on the floor.

"Damn it!" Kiba vented, his frustration boiling over.

As Kiba raged, Shino began to walk off until Kiba shouted after him. "HEY, you're supposed to ask me what's wrong!"

Shino didn't even turn around. "I really don't care."

Kiba's eyes narrowed. "Well, you should. I bet you're feeling the same way as I am right now."

Shino's voice dripped with sarcasm. "Yeah, I'm so angry, I feel like taking it out on a lifeless husk as well."

Shino turned to face Kiba, who now had his full attention. "Look, whatever issues you're having right now, either take it up with our mother or wait for further instruction like you were told. Simple as that."

Kiba's face twisted with anger. "That BITCH is not my mothe—"

He stopped himself short, disbelief washing over him at what he was about to say. Even Shino was surprised, glaring back at Kiba with his eyes glowing red through his black sunglasses.

"What did you just say?" Shino asked, his voice dangerously low.

Kiba stammered, "I… I don't know, that came out of nowhere—"

With great speed and strength, Shino grabbed Kiba by the neck and forced his body back against the wall, leaving a small crack. Kiba struggled to break loose as Akamaru began to bark.

"Cicada, calm yourself!" Akamaru commanded sternly.

Shino dropped Kiba to the floor, who began to cough and gasp for air. "Speak ill of your mother in vain again, and I will have my parasites devour every nerve in your body," Shino said icily.

Shino finally took his leave, flying down to the lower levels of the temple with his hands in his pockets. Struggling to get back up after being strangled, Kiba was helped by Akamaru, who used his large head to support his owner.

"Are you alright?" Akamaru asked, concern in his voice.

"Yeah…" Kiba replied weakly, rubbing his throat. His mind was still stuck on the fact that he had spoken ill of his own mother, almost as though he were acting as a completely different person.

Elsewhere…

After making a semi-full recovery, Naruto, now wearing scrubs, wandered around the tower. Raven had left to give the Justice League an update on the night's events. As he passed by a few named superheroes such as Captain Atom, Photon Girl, Atom Smasher, Juwanna Beast, Plastic Man, and Stargirl, the latter gave him a shy blush and wave. Naruto simply waved back, his mind racing with emotions as he continued walking.

Entering another long hallway, he looked to the side and saw a window, offering a beautiful view of planet Earth. His eyes widened in amazement.

"Whoa…" he breathed, awestruck.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" came a voice from behind him.

Naruto turned his head and spotted Superman walking over to him. "Yeah, I used to learn about what Earth looked like in outer space when we studied astrology in the academy. But the pictures don't do it any justice."

Superman nodded. "Exactly my thoughts when I first learned how to fly and wanted to see a good view of the world my parents sent me to."

Naruto looked at Superman with a slight shock. "You're not from here either?"

Superman shook his head. "For the longest time, I thought I was until my parents told me I was an alien from another planet."

Naruto's eyes widened further. "Oh, so you're Tamaronian too?"

Superman raised a brow. "A what?"

"You're like Starfire, right?" Naruto clarified.

"Oh, Tamaranian…" Superman laughed softly. "Yes, but no. I'm a Kryptonian. It's completely different from Starfire's race. The only similarities we have aside from super strength and flight are that we get our powers from the sun."

Superman's expression turned serious. "Raven told us what happened. Thankfully, we're one step closer to bringing down the Church of Blood. Sebastian has been detained and is powerless to the point where he won't hurt anyone again."

Naruto sighed in relief. "That's a relief. I can even feel a little bit of my power returning."

Superman nodded. "Good, but Raven said it'll take some time. In the meantime, I've set up a doctor's appointment for you."

Naruto looked confused. "But I'm not sick, and I'm all healed up."

Superman smiled. "A different doctor, one who can help send you back home."

Naruto's eyes lit up with excitement. "REALLY!?"

Superman chuckled. "Yep, it won't be easy, but he can definitely do it."

Though excited, Naruto calmed down and started to get serious, thinking about the promise he had made. "When does the appointment start?"

"In four weeks," Superman replied. "I wanted it to be sooner, but he's a very busy man, so try and bear with us just a little while longer—"

"That's great!" Naruto interrupted, his excitement bubbling over.

Superman looked confused. "Hm?"

Naruto's expression turned determined. "As much as I wanna get back home, I made a promise to take Sebastian and his cult down. Raven told me what Trigun did to her world, and I won't let him have his way with this one or mine. So I'm going to do all I can to protect it."

Superman gave Naruto a soft smile, moved by the blonde ninja's words. "Plus, I owe you guys a lot for putting up with me. I can be really annoying sometimes," Naruto added with a light laugh.

Superman chuckled. "Hey, it's what we do…We managed to protect Amanda Bynes for a few months, only you're nowhere near annoying at all… But I need to ask you one thing…"

Superman's expression turned serious. "This world is big and made up of billions upon billions of people. Are you really willing to handle the pressure that comes with your promise?"

Naruto took a moment to think, his gaze drifting back to the breathtaking view of Earth outside the window. Without hesitation, he turned to Superman, his voice filled with determination.

"Of course! Did you forget everything I told you from my long story you wanted to hear? I saved my world once, and I'll do it again along with this one. Especially since I've got more help with you guys to back me up."

Superman smiled, clearly impressed. "Heh, great answer! And you're right, you're far from alone in this battle."

Naruto extended his fist for a fist bump, and Superman complied, the two orphans from different worlds sharing a silent promise to have each other's backs.

Their respectful and heartwarming moment was abruptly cut short when Martian Manhunter phased through the wall behind them.

"There you are, we've been looking for you—" Martian Manhunter began.

Startled, Naruto instinctively lashed out, hitting Martian Manhunter with a backfist to the face. "AGH!" Naruto shouted in pain, grabbing his hand after striking Martian Manhunter's near-invulnerable skin, which was comparable to Superman's.

Martian Manhunter remained unfazed. "My apologies, Naruto, I didn't mean to frighten you again."

Naruto, now on his knees, recognized Martian Manhunter from their previous encounter. "It's okay… but seriously, try using the door next time!" he said wryly, shaking his hand to alleviate the pain.

Meanwhile, back at the Kent Farmhouse…

In one of the bedrooms, someone was sitting on the bed, watching the news. The screen displayed clips of Naruto wearing superboy's black shirt while rescuing the people of Jump City, with the headline reading, "A new Superboy?"

Superboy sat up in bed, nearly speechless. He finally found his voice, a mix of confusion and surprise evident in his tone.

"Da FUCK did I just miss!?"
