96. Grounded
His mother finds out he's in the hospital and she's pissed.
Not necessarily at him, at the doctors for not calling and saying he was in a coma. More at the police for not telling her about the possibility of foul play.
She takes the first safe flight back to Japan and nurses him. It's weird. Not surprising, as she's always been this way. She'd stay if she could, but because of dad, she really can't. He can't be mad at her for it. Maybe her next project will be closer to home.
But for now she's helping him walk (which he needs), keeping him grounded (present, focused, there, alive in his body it was so close), making sure he can hold things. Everything.
When Kamishiro Enterprises gives her a hefty check before she can sue, she sues anyway.
His friends adore her. She adopts them.
Takumi… really needs more sleep to process any of this.
But he's happy everyone else is happy.
