Goren chuckled into his beer at Eames' attempt at revenge over her little brother. He bent close to her ear and said, "Remind me not make you mad."

"Oh you be best not to, Bobby."

"Noted. They aren't too bad.," he said gesturing towards her family," I don't know what you were so worried about."

"They like you but don't let that fool you."

Goren's hands cradled his beer nervously, "So you never bring people here?"

"See, they are already talking too much."

"I am the f-first," Goren had a big smile on his face.

"Don't get too big head Goren."

"Alexandra, dear, can you help me put the food on the table?" Eames' mother called out from the kitchen.

"Saved by your mother."

"Yeah, well, stop with that smile."

Eames retreated to the kitchen and began bringing out several dishes lining them up in the middle of the table.

"So any good cases recently?" Johnny sr. asked

"Johnny no shop talk at the table," Mary, Eames' mother stopped him immediately.

"What else are we supposed to talk about?"

"Oh, I'm sure you'll find something else, sweetie."

"Have you been seeing anyone new, Alex?"

Mary stared at him. "What?"

"Well...have you?" Liz added suddenly interested in the conversation.

Goren became nervous fiddling with his fork and knife very interested in the conversation but trying to look busy and unaware of the conversation at hand.

"I went on a date but it's not going to work out. He was just a little too interested in my being a detective. It was weird all around."

"There is someone out there for you don't you give up." Mary tried to assure her daughter.

"Okay enough about my tragic lack of a love life. Someone else please talk."

"Mom, Alex says you have a tape I need to see something about a birthday."

Liz spit out her food across the table and both her and Alex burst out laughing. While her mother and Johnny stood confused

"Birthday...?" Suddenly Mary's face flushed and began turning red. "Okay that's enough of that. If you can't have a mature conversation, I guess you should just eat," Mary said embarrassed.

Goren nudged Eames under the table smiling at her briefly and then spoke, "Well this food is amazing. You really outdone yourself on this."

"Thank you and thanks for your help earlier."

"Happy to help. So, tell me about how Eames uh Alex was as a child."

"Oh no we don't," Eames rejected the idea.

"Why afraid of what I'd find out, partner?"

"Fine. I was an adorable child."

"Sure she was."

"You have something to say Liz."

"You bit me when you were two. I picked you up and you bit me."

"I was a baby."

"Still. Not adorable behavior."

They broke out in laughter and Eames playfully stuck her tongue out at her.

"Ooh, maybe I should bring the photo album out."

"Well, now you done did it, Bobby!" Eames playfully pushed Goren's arm against his body.

"Watch it now, I know your secrets now and I know you bite," Goren playfully chomped his teeth in the air.
