Chapter 47

Mirio's gasping sound filled the air, causing despair and anxiety. His body was slow and unresponsive, lacking the energy he needed. Even his hand couldn't dodge attacks quickly enough. It felt like he was carrying a heavy burden, making him the target of multiple attacks. The fact that if he wasn't as good at using his quirk as he was, Mirio would've been killed not too long ago.

"What's happening to my body?!" Mirio muttered as he was able to dodge the attack by a few mere seconds. Then, he quickly used whatever was left in him to strike vital points on the body of those Yakuzas, who, thankfully, were not expecting him to attack back at all.

"It must be a quirk from them," Mirio gasped loudly as he fell down on his knees, with barely any strength left in him. "He must have been hiding all this time; we didn't see him."

Mirio believed that the Yakuza was the culprit behind draining his energy, and it was understandable why he would think that way. Neither he nor anyone else could see Solution lurking in the shadows, observing them with a disdainful gaze that left one to question the depth of her animosity. Solution fulfilled her duty by sapping a portion of Mirio's energy, impeding his progress just enough for her lady's triumphant entrance. However, Solution couldn't help but harbour resentment towards her lady's excessive interaction with beings she deemed inferior.

Solution knew she wasn't the only one who thought in such a way. Many in Nazarick thought the same.

Why is our lady so infatuated with them? Solution thought bitterly, yet she refrained from ever speaking out loud in such a manner. Yuri already chastised her, and Solution knew that her thoughts would never comprehend her lady, but that feeling of jealousy remained.

I did my job. Hopefully, he'll die before my lady arrives. Solution hissed as she quickly vanished; she had other duties to attend to. But she gave a good look to the small girl in the arms of that Yakuza. Mm, that's the girl. I wonder what my lady is expecting from such a little worm?

Solution thought before vanishing away, leaving Mirio and the Yakuza alone for the time being as Galadriel was getting closer.

"I commend you, hero. Despite your current condition, you still possess the ability to fight back," Chisaki remarked, eliciting a hiss from Mirio. Mirio desperately attempted to rise to his feet but found no success. Chisaki was unaware of what had transpired. One moment, it seemed as though Mirio was poised to overpower them with his strength, but then he suddenly dropped to his knees, breathing heavily, his muscles quivering, and his forehead drenched in sweat. Chisaki wondered if it was a result of Mirio's quirk. However, in the grand scheme of things, it didn't truly matter.

Chisaki made a quick decision to turn around and leave in haste. He couldn't afford to waste time on a fight with Mirio. However, Mirio was determined not to allow him to escape so easily. In this critical moment, Mirio couldn't let everyone down. Taking a deep breath, he resolved to push his body beyond its limits. After all, that's the essence of being a hero—surpassing one's own abilities. Mirio always emphasised this, constantly pushing himself to the limit.

More! More power! Power! Mirio's mind echoed with his desperate plea, his face contorting with the weight of his inner turmoil. And then, in an instant, he tapped into the depths of his quirk. Mirio could sense it; deep within, he had only one shot left. With all his energy, he approached Chisaki, who was surprised to see him so close to him.

Chisaki swiftly reacted and skilfully dodged the attack, while Mirio let out a loud hiss as his body gradually weakened. An angry growl escaped Chisaki; he despised the determined expression on Mirio's face that all heroes seemed to wear. It greatly irritated him. However, witnessing Mirio's strength rapidly fading away, he made up his mind to finish him off without delay.

"I'll end you now," Chisaki hissed furiously.

Mirio could only glare at him, frustration evident in his eyes, as he desperately attempted to move his legs, only to find them unresponsive. His gaze shifted to Chisaki, watching in dread as his hand inched closer. Unable to bear the impending horror, the poor girl tightly shut her eyes, wishing to shield herself from what was to come. However, much to their relief, their fears were swiftly dispelled. A girl with white hair suddenly emerged, forcefully pushing Mirio aside and reaching out to Chisaki, cradling her protectively in her arms.

"Galadriel!" Mirio exclaimed, watching how Galadriel was able to push Chisaki, much to the Yakuza's anger.

"You… dammed heroes!" Chisaki hissed furiously.

"Sorry for taking too long, Mirio; I got caught up in something," Galadriel smiled as she looked at the girl in her arms. "Hello there, don't worry, I am here."

Eri, the girl's lips, began to tremble as she stared at those golden eyes of Galadriel. "Y—you should leave! You're going to get hurt!" Eri exclaimed, causing Galadriel to glance at the poor, traumatised girl.

Galadriel, on her part, comprehended the fear and the feeling of freedom that seemed within reach yet shrouded in uncertainty. It was a sentiment that Galadriel herself was intimately familiar with, and it made her feel a sense of empathy towards Eri. Observing the worry in Eri's eyes, Galadriel simply smiled at her and tenderly embraced her.

"Don't worry, I am getting you out of here," Galadriel smiled. "I am your angel, after all."

Eri was simply stunned by Galadriel's words, her gaze fixed upon her. Yet, deep within her heart, there was a flicker of belief, as if she was on the verge of finally escaping the prison that had confined her for so long.

My angel…? Eri thought as she then quickly saw Chisaki attacking yet again. "Careful!" Eri yelled, as Galadriel, without any problem, was able to evade the attack and push Mirio back.

"You…!" Chisaki hissed angrily.

"Mirio, how are you holding up?" Galadriel asked, already aware of the reason behind Mirio's sorry state. Wow, Solution, did you really use [Death of Stamina] on him? That's quite extreme. Galadriel thought, observing Mirio struggling to stand on his own.

"Yeah, just my strength… it's just gone," Mirio whispered.

"Mm, could it be a Yakuza's quirk or something?" Galadriel asked, faking concern.

"I don't know," Mirio replied, as he started to move his legs but could barely do so.

As long as he doesn't intervene, it should be alright. Galadriel thought before looking at Chisaki before her, whose face appeared to hold deep hatred towards her.

"Eri, come here. It's dangerous for you," Chisaki whispered, trying to manipulate the poor girl, who could only clutch Galadriel's clothes harder. "Or do you wish them to be killed because of you?"

Chisaki's words instilled fear in Eri's heart, as she was well aware of the consequences he was capable of inflicting on anyone who dared to take her away. The memories of Chisaki tearing bodies apart filled her with despair. Galadriel, on the other hand, was unsettled by Chisaki's tone of voice and his manipulation of Eri's trauma to control her.

"Don't make me repeat myself, Eri. Do you not understand? You were born with the purpose to take lives," Chisaki's words caused Eri's body to tense up in Galadriel's embrace. That made Galadriel's anger flare up, as the thought of manipulating a child in such a manner almost brought up the demon inside her.

"I—I don't…"

"She will never return to you," Galadriel whispered, her cold expression piercing Eri as she looked up at her. "I will ensure the annihilation of everything you have built. All that is dear to you, for every year that you have inflicted misery upon Eri. You shall endure a hundred years of torment in the depths of hell."

Mirio gazed at Galadriel, studying her face intently. He noticed that the usual smirk was absent, and the sassy tone of her voice, which he often heard when she spoke to others, seemed to have vanished as well. This made Mirio ponder the point at which the Angel of Justice transitioned into the Angel of Vengeance.

Chisaki seemed to dismiss the threat with a scoff, yet his anger remained unwavering. Without further delay, he removed his gloves and forcefully slammed both hands onto the floor, resulting in the complete destruction of the ground. Subsequently, enormous spikes emerged, forming beneath Galadriel and Mirio, who swiftly evaded the impending assault. Mirio couldn't help but express his frustration at Chisaki's apparent disregard for Eri.

"Eri is still here!" Mirio yelled at Chisaki, who glared back at them.

"It doesn't matter if I destroy her body with this. I'll just return it to its original state; she knows this; I've done it before," Chisaki stated.

Galadriel's anger intensified, prompting her to swiftly distance herself from Chisaki while taking Mirio along. With utmost care, she placed Eri in Mirio's embrace, making every effort to remain composed. Galadriel was determined not to cause Eri any more distress or to instil fear in her. The poor girl already had enough traumas as it was, and Galadriel refused to give her another one.

"Here, be a strong girl, okay?" Galadriel smiled as Eri looked at her. "Mirio, how are you feeling?"

"A bit better," Mirio said. "I can stand now."

"Alright, let's be quick," Galadriel said as she now glared at Chisaki. "You're going to pay for this."

Chisaki only stared at the girl before him, knowing that he would've to do something about her. But what? He had an idea. After all, he knew how strong she was.

Midoriya, Aizawa, and Sir Nighteye were racing against time, determined to catch up with Chisaki. The echoes of a fierce battle ahead reached their ears, fuelling their urgency. However, their pursuit came to an abrupt halt when a red-haired girl suddenly appeared before them. Lupusregina's wide smirk reflected her delight at seeing the shock on their faces. At that moment, Aizawa and Sir Nighteye realised that the situation was about to become considerably more complex.

"You!" Midoriya whispered, still recalling the memories of that night and what happened to Staint. "Regina, the Red Killer."

"My~ It seems my nicknames have become quite popular!" Lupusregina smirked happily.

"Midoriya, we need to be cautious," Aizawa whispered, stealing a quick glance at Sir Nighteye, whose face had become tense and worrisome. He hadn't anticipated encountering someone like her here.

"You're not moving from this place~," Lupusregina smiled. "I'll make sure of it."

Lupusregina's body crouched down like a hungry predator, swiftly and in an instant, launching an attack on the group. Midoriya was taken aback by the incredible speed and, more significantly, the immense strength behind Lupusregina's strikes—or rather, her slashes, as the red-haired woman employed her nails as deadly daggers.

Aizawa became the initial target of her attacks, and the teacher swiftly realised that his power was ineffective against her. It was evident that her Quirk fell under the mutant-type category, posing a challenge for him to utilise his skill. However, he found alternative methods to protect himself by employing his cloth to halt the red-haired woman. Unfortunately, Lupusregina effortlessly tore apart his cloth, rendering his defence useless.

"Dammit!" Aizawa whispered, as Sir Nighteye attacked in order to give Aizawa time to prepare again.

Sir Nighteye snarled as he deftly dodged the relentless onslaught of the deranged woman. Thankfully, he was no novice when it came to facing villains. However, he couldn't deny that Regina was truly unique. Her ferocious attacks, astonishing agility, and, most notably, the twisted pleasure evident on her face made it clear that she derived immense satisfaction from inflicting pain.

Lupusregina aimed at Sir Nighteye's head, but he was able to evade it and disengage, much to Lupusregina's disappointment.

"Eh? No fighting?" Lupusregina exclaimed, her voice filled with teasing as she playfully engaged with them. Although her lady had instructed her not to kill them, it didn't mean she couldn't inflict some pain. She couldn't help but notice the boy with green hair, his cheeks adorned with freckles. If she were being honest, he looked cute, like a vulnerable deer in an open field, innocent and untainted, just waiting to be hunted. Perhaps that's what she had in mind as she targeted him, eager to witness that expression of fear on his face.

Midoriya swiftly reacted and managed to dodge a few of Lupusregina's attacks. Her maniacal laughter filled him with despair, as he couldn't help but notice the stark difference between her laughter and Toga's. While Toga's laughter was playful and menacing, Regina's laughter was cruel, giving Midoriya the unsettling feeling that she would kill him without a second thought if she ever grew bored of him.

"Midoriya!" Aizawa shouted, swiftly attempting to employ his metal cloth once more. However, this time, he had a backup in the form of Sir Nighteye, who unleashed a barrage of high-density seals on the woman. "Move!" Aizawa urgently cried out, prompting Midoriya to instinctively dodge out of harm's way using his own speed.

Lupusregina found herself draped in that metallic fabric, and before long, those powerful seals of Sir Nighteye targeted her directly in the head. The resonating sound reverberated through the lengthy corridor, resembling the collision of steel against flesh. Midoriya couldn't help but dread the possibility of witnessing Regina's brain splattered against the wall. However, that gruesome outcome failed to materialise. The blow, which had previously incapacitated a Yakuza member larger than any of them, seemed insufficient for Regina. She casually inclined her head and feigned injury.

"That hurt!" she smirked, and before long, she managed to break free from her restraints. With an abnormal speed, she swiftly struck Midoriya in the stomach, followed by a blow to his face. The poor boy let out a pained sound as the air rushed out of his lungs. "Did I hurt you, Lettuce-boy?"

Midoriya could not even respond, as his body was still lying on the floor, and he was still not able to breathe properly again.

"Midoriya!" hissed Sir Nighteye, but soon after, Lupusregina struck him with the same speed she used against Midoriya. The pain coursed through his body as Lupusregina's fist plunged into his gut. The force made him ponder what kind of Quirk she possessed to not only be swift and powerful but also remarkably resilient and resistant to harm.

Then, feeling unsatisfied with the results, Lupusregina proceeded to grab him by the head and forcefully hurl him away, treating him as though he were as insignificant as a bag of potatoes, ultimately slamming him against a distant wall.

"Now you!" Lupusregina smirked as she grabbed Aizawa by his throat and slammed him on the wall, shattering the teacher's shoulder and causing him to groan in pain. Lupusregina's hand squeezed his throat slowly, smiling viciously as Aizawa could barely move. "I'll destroy your throat. Cut you limb by limb, and take your eyes out! Doesn't it sound fun?~"

Aizawa hissed in pain as he could feel his throat being slowly crushed by this woman.

"Professor!" Midoriya exclaimed, determined to move, even if it meant activating Full Cowl. However, his actions were abruptly halted by a commanding voice that not only captured Lupusregina's attention but also drew the focus of Aizawa and Sir Nighteye, who were gradually getting back onto his feet.

"I have found you, Lup—Regina!"

"Oh, who may you be?" Lupusregina asked with a smirk as she noticed how Narberal almost called her by her name. A fun little thing, if she could admit it, but she had to keep up an image.

"Narberal Ga-Nazarick," Narberal stated, stuttering at first, her gaze shifting to the group in front of her. Aizawa and Sir Nighteye were taken aback by her presence, and their surprise was evident. Yet, what truly stood out was the stark contrast between her icy expression and Galadriel's usually cheerful and sassy demeanour. "I'll be the one in charge of your defeat."

"Nazarick, huh?" Lupusregina murmured as she let go of Aizawa. "I've heard so much about your family. It's an impressive name. A powerful lineage. The very best, I must say. I have a feeling you're just as strong as that amazing, strong, and intelligent girl."

"Yes, my sister is truly beautiful," Narberal exclaimed. "She is simply the best, absolutely amazing, and truly one-of-a-kind. No one will ever be able to match her." Aizawa, Sir Nighteye, and Midoriya were momentarily puzzled by the sudden change in tone and the unexpected focus on Galadriel.

"Let's fight. Hard," Lupusregina said.

"Yes… hard."

Out of the blue, the two "enemies" unexpectedly engaged in combat, a clash that would ultimately shape the outcome of the operation. Though, to be honest, the fight didn't actually hold that much significance.
