As everyone stood around in their barriers, Plague had started to laugh.
"What's so funny?" asked Amber.
"You all may be protected from me, but what about everyone else in this world?!" asked Plague with a crazed expression. The mist then began to spread further out into the forest, in the same direction that they had come from.
"It's after everyone back at the school!" said Apple.
"And once I have your friends, nothing can stop me from destroying this world," said Plague before vanishing from sight by merging into the mist that was moving away from the teens.
"We have to get back now," said Cerise.
"I can teleport us there but this thing is moving so fast that we should be prepared for anything when we arrive," said Raven.
"Right," said everyone. In a flash of purple light they then disappeared only to reappear outside the school which was already covered in the mist as far as they could see which was not far.
"You were right, Raven, it's already here," said Apple while everyone stood back to back in order to keep watch out around them.
"The school's barrier is up, inside should be safe," said Briar as she noticed a faint blue glow that was making its way through the mist.
"Ah!" they heard a scream coming from the mist which caused them to worry.
"But out here's not," said Brady.
"Let's move!" said Kay after a sword was thrown by her head, landing somewhere behind the group. Once inside the school, Raven made sure to seal the door with her magic.
"Just a little extra insurance," said Raven.
"You're okay," said Cedar who rushed to hug Cerise after running down the hallway from a classroom.
"And so are you," said Cerise.
"That was definitely Darling's sword earlier so we know that she has been infected already," said Apple as she looked at the door.
"She's one of the five who didn't make it inside in time," said Cerise.
"Who else is out there?" asked Salene.
"Duchess, Poppy, Hunter, and Faybelle were all outside when the mist appeared around the school," said Cedar.
"Faybelle?" asked Briar with a horrified expression.
