Chapter 10: Masquerade
1939
Back in 1939 as Stolizo, Loona and Octavias automobile drives through the streets it stops behind an Automobile that stopped at a stop light long enough for them to see a couple a Goitia named Jewel and a Infestor named Rolando walking past. They see them stop in front of a window of a jewelry store to examine some Jewelry as they saw Rolando say something incoherent to Jewel before they both kiss.
The three remember the tale of how there Father kissed Andrephelus on the rooftop of the opera Popular the night of the performance of Ill Muto and the death of Husk.
Soon enough Jewel and Rolando finished kissing and walked off as the Automobile drove off as Stolas looked out the window as he felt Loona and Octavia touch his hand as they understand the feeling of the tale told.
1840
It was a grand special occasion that was taking place at the Opera Popular, what was it you may ask reader? A New Years celebration of course! Fire works fired all over in beautiful colors and glow to usher in a new year and what a grand way to celebrate then with a Masquerade party as automobiles drove up as many guests came to enjoy the party as Lucifer and Peter came in grinning at seeing each other "Ah Peter" said Lucifer wearing a snake mask "Lucifer!" Said Peter wearing a dove mask.
Lucifer: Dear Peter what a splendid party
Peter: the premier to a bright new year!
Lucifer: quite a night I'm impressed
Peter: well one does what's best
Lucifer and Peter: hers to us!
Peter: a toast to all the city
Lucifer *Smirking a knowing look* what a pity that the phantom cant be here!
Indeed it was a celebration as the opera imp was quiet and didnt cause any fuss and problems and it was a grand user for a new round of apluause of partying as inside the opera house there were various people wearing masks and costumes of various species dancing to the music.

With each name listed you can see such beautiful masks dancing as some you didnt expect spieces to wear a certain mask as a angel with a mask of a beast or a Ghoul or a simple imp dressed as a king or a goitia bird dressed as a fool as it was a cathony of diffrent faces and costumes all around

It was indeed a grand specitcal as Valatino dressed in a dine duke outfit with his moth wings spread with a butterfly mask on his face as Vox dressed as a emperor with a golden mask on his TV face joined up with Lucifer and Peter happy at the peace of not hearing from Blitzo and his problems as Bella, dressed in a fine gown of green and golds wearing a Fox mask and her son Ussop dressed as a pirate wearing a tengu mask joined the group
Valatino: what a night!
Vox: what a crowd
Peter: makes you glad
Lucifer: makes you proud all the crew de la creme
Valatino: watching us and watching them
Ussop: And all our fears are in the past
Lucifer: three months
Vox: of relief
Valatino: of delight
Peter: of elysian peace

Meanwhile Andre and Stolas were hiding in a hallway as Stolas examined his engagement ring, during the three months Andre managed to get Stolas to accept the engagement to him as a protection and even though Stolas didnt want to agree as his heart seem to be set on Blitzo he still accepted seeing it as a safety thing but he still couldent forget the imp as he looked at the ring which was a silver metal with a sapphire in the center with a darker blue saphire on the side as Stolas was dressed in a prince outfit of dark blues and gold and Andre a duke outfit of whites and blues with Stolas wearing a imp mask and Andre a white fox mask.
Stolas: think of it
A secret engagement *Small smile* look your future mate

Andre: But why is it secret? What have we to hide?
You promise me *Leans to kiss But Stolas stopped him*
Stolas: no Andre please dont they'll see
Andre: well let them see its an engagement not a crime, Stolas what are you afraid of?
Stolas: lets not argue *They soon came to the ballroom*
Andre: Lets not argue
Stolas: please pretend
Andre: I can only hope
Stolas/Andre: you/I will understand in time
With that the two went into the ballroom as they began to dance on occasion split to dance with other partners as Andre was worried but felt comfortable as Andre got back to dance with Stolas as nearby one of Valatinos attended eagerly handed out bottles of wine and Champagne to everyone as Drago came up to Ussop with Kaya as he shared some wine as he laughed as Andre and Stolas danced by Valatino who sneered at Stolas.
Backstage everyone all the technicians and stage hands were dancing to facetious dancing as after they were done they were messing around with each other backstage celebrating and having fun as with Andre and Stolas they soon stopped dancing and looked into each others eyes…as they then kissed each other passionately.

However at the end there were gasped and shocked silence as the room darkened as a chill swept through the room as the crowd saw a certain someone standing at the top of the stairs dressed as the red Masque the red death…Blitzo the phantom of the opera has returned!
The imp smirked as his tail twitched and shifted as the sound of his hooftsteps resonated on the steps, one by one as it echoed in the silence as everyone stared.
Blitzo: why so silent good people?
Did you think that I had left you for good? Have you missed me good People?
I have written you an opera *Pulls out a thick manuscript* here I bring the finished score
At that he tossed the manuscript showing in gold script "Don Juan Triumphant" as it fell to the feet of Peter and Lucifer in shock as he pulled out his sword.

His yellow gaze looked around as Andre growled as Stolas watched in concern as Andre left to get a weapon to take down this imp
A few instructions just before rehearsal starts *Looks at Valatino*
Valatino must be taught to act not his normal trick of strutting around the stage
Valatino cringes as Blitzo used his sword to play with the feather on his hat as Vox angery stepped forward to defend him but Blitzo stopped him pointing his sword at his stomach
Our Don Juan must gain a bit of weight its not healthy in a man of Vox's age *Gives a look to Lucifer and Peter*
And my managers must learn that there place is in a OFFICE not the arts
Peter gulped nervously as Blitzo pointed his sword at him as Blitzo turned and smirked at Stolas as he sheathed his sword as he gently stepped to the owl
And for our star
No doubt he'll do his best its true his voice is good
He knows though should he wish to excel
He still has much still to learn if pride will let him return to me

Both owl and imp stared at each other as they both approached each other just as Andre came with a sword as Blitzo looked at his neck and frowned as he saw the engagement ring to what he calls a charlatan and a strutting fool of a peacock as he ripped it off him

"You belong to me!" he growled as he walked up the stairs and disappeared through a trapdoor in a explosion of smoke as Stolas stood there stunned as Andre hurried up and jumped through the trapdoor before it closed as he landed in a room of moving mirrors as he hurried to try to find the imp but each time he thought he saw Blitzo and swung his sword only to just strike at thin air as Blitzo laughed cruely as it kept up until the Punjab lasso fell in the center of the room, a sign that Andrephelus time was up but Andre jumped feeling a hand as he turned and saw Bella who placed a hand on his shoulder "Come with me hurry" said Bella as she lead him out of the room.
