The time had come, Izuku's training would be put to the ultimate test, the Entrance Exam of UA High. He was now in his usual outfit as he texted Wendy and the others that they would be meeting in the auditorium.
"Deku."
Hearing a familiar growling tone, Izuku turned to see Katsuki there. The green-haired boy sighed, it seemed that eleven years was clearly not enough to curb the explosive blonde's attitude.
"I should've known you'd be here. Get out of my way before I kill you."
"Let's do our best, Kaachan." Izuku said, keeping a friendly face.
Katsuki just scoffed and walked past Izuku without another word. The green-haired Sage-in-training could only sigh.
"Well Kacchan is still as angry as ever, but that doesn't matter. What does is that this is my first step to being a Hero."He thought...and then immediately tripped."Or I'll just probably die."
But, when he thought he would hit the ground he heard a female voice.
"Are you okay?"
Izuku saw his face was inches from hitting the pavement, soon realizing that he was actually floating in mid-air. He turned to see that the culprit was a girl with brown hair, pink eyes, and rosy cheeks who had her hand above his back.
"W-Wow, thanks..."
"I used my Quirk on you. I'm sorry I didn't ask first, I figured you wouldn't mind me catching you." She said as she deactivated her Quirk and Izuku landed on his feet. "I'm Ochako Uraraka, nice to meet you."
"N-Nice to meet you too. I'm Izuku Midoriya." Izuku said, rubbing the back of his head bashfully.
"Isn't this just so nerve-racking?" She asked as Izuku nodded.
"Yeah, I-I'm so nervous. I f-feel like there's a beehive in m-my stomach."
"Well, I'll see you in there, Midoriya."
Izuku smiled as Ochako headed for the auditorium, straightening himself out before following after her.
FAIRY
Izuku soon made it to the auditorium and saw his friends waving him down. He managed to get a seat next to Wendy but unfortunately, he also found himself sitting next to Katsuki, to whom he paid no heed.
Soon a man with yellow hair slicked back, orange lens-colored glasses, and speakers around his neck was at the front of all the students. Izuku couldn't stop himself from geeking out as he recognized him as the Voice Hero: Present Mic.
What's up, UA Candidates?! Thanks for tuning in to the school DJ! Come on and let me hear ya!" The only thing he had was silence from the students, trying to pump them up. But he proceeded as usual. "Keeping it mellow, huh? That's fine I'll skip to the main show. Let's talk about how these practical exams would go down, okay? ARE YOU READY?!"
"YEAH, A REAL MAN NEVER BACKS DOWN!" Elfman cheered, pumping his fist high in the air.
"THANK YOU, EXAMINEE #5263!" Present Mic beamed, flashing Elfman a thumbs-up before continuing. "As your printout said, today, you rockin' boys and girls will be out there conducting two-minute mock battles in super urban cities!"
As Present Mic talked, the video screen behind him showed the Battle Center locations, marked by the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
"Cure your voice, my friends. After I drop the mic here, you'll be heading to your specified battle centers. Isn't that cool?"
"YEAH!" Elfman cheered, this time joined by Gajeel.
Everyone looked at their tickets to see they had different letters on them, indicating which battle center they were going to.
"So we're being split up so we can't help each other, but at the same time being grouped at random," Levy noted. "This is kinda weird."
"Okay, okay. Let's check our your targets." As Present Mic continues talking, the screen behind him shows a city. Surrounding it were silhouettes of different types of attack robots. "There are three types of rogue villains in every battle center. You'll get points, based on their level of difficulty so you better choose wisely. Your goal in this exam is to use your Quirks to raise your score by shredding these villains like a midsaw guitar solo! But checking, make sure you keep things heroic. Attacking other examinees is a big no-no, you dig?"
However, any explanation of this was cut off when one of the other examinees stood up to ask a question. Izuku noted that he had blue hair and glasses.
"Excuse me! The forms specifically state that there are four villain types, and you've only explained three! With all due respect, if this is a mistake on official UA material, it is shameful. We are exemplary students who expect more from the country's best program. So a mistake like this is unbecoming of an institution like UA!"
"Stick in the mud, much?" Natsu questioned, causing Lucy to nonchalantly roll her eyes with a slight smirk.
"Oh, that. The fourth type is really just an obstacle to get around, so there's no real point in fighting it." Present Mic explained.
"Ah yes, thank you!" The blue-haired teen nodded with a bow before turning to Izuku. "And you with the odd eyes–"
"Never call them odd again!" The Rinnegan bearer barked. He took pride in his eyes and what they did, not unlike how some people took pride in their Quirks, so he found himself being offended by remarks about them being odd.
"...Nevermind." The now spooked student uttered as he sat back down, the wind being taken from his sails.
"That's all I got for you, today. I'll sign off with a little present. A sample of our school motto." Present Mic said as he started to tell the hopeful new students. "As General Napoleon Bonaparte once laid down, 'a true hero is one to overcome life's misfortune.' Mmhmm. Now that's one tasty soundbite. You're ready to go beyond… let's hear a PLUS ULTRA!"
"PLUS ULTRA!" Izuku, Natsu, Elfman, and Gajeel shouted as everyone made their way to their assigned buses.

At the training ground known as Training Beta, or site B, the kids all gathered around in their respective exercise get-ups to wait for everything to get started.
"This is so nerve-racking, am I right?" Lucy asked as she, Izuku, Gray, and Juvia were together.
"Yeah, a-aren't you a little nervous, Juvia?" Izuku asked.
"Not really, the only thing that could make me excited is the sight of my beloved Gray." She said as she wrapped her arms around Gray.
"Would you please stop that Juvia?" He asked irritatingly as Izuku looked around to see Ochako standing in the crowd.
"It's that girl again, I should probably go and thank her again." He thought as he was about to walk to her… but an arm grabbed him, turning him around to see it was the boy with glasses from earlier.
"She looks like she's focusing on the trial ahead." He said as his attention returned to Izuku with a serious expression on his face. "What were you going to do? Distract her and ruin her chances to succeed?"
However, Gray calmly placed a hand on the boy's shoulder, emitting a chill that made him let go of Izuku and turn around.
"The hell is your problem, asshole? Do you just assume the worst in everyone?" He asked coldly. "Honestly, pieces of shit like you don't deserve to be Heroes."
"Yeah, you shouldn't butt into other people's business. Just focus on yourself." Lucy said with a glare of her own.
Properly chided, the boy moved away from Izuku, who gave his friends a grateful nod before making his way over to Ochako.
"Hey." Izuku nodded in greeting, getting the brunette's attention. "Nervous about the exam?"
"Yeah. This is gonna be a chore to deal with," Ochako replied, rubbing the back of her neck nervously.
"I'm sure it'll be fine," Izuku told her as the two took their positions. "Good luck."
"Alright applicants… GO!" Present Mic shouted as the doors opened.
With no other incentive, the applicants all burst through the door of their respective training grounds. Izuku was running next to Juvia and Gray, soon coming across an intersection.
"Okay, I'll go right," Gray said as Juvia pouted a little at the fact that she wanted to go with Gray. Izuku, on the other hand, nodded in acceptance.
"Alright then, I'll take the left path," Izuku said, leaving Juvia to go forward.
"Good luck you guys," Juvia said as they split up for the time being, Izuku kept running until he encountered his first target, a one-pointer, coming from around the corner.
Harnessing theAsura Path, the back of Izuku's arms opened up like machines to reveal mechanical mantis-like blades which he fittingly dubbed theMantis Blades, using them to slice the robot into ribbons.
"Got it, now gotta keep going."He thought as he kept running.
Along the way, he switched to theDeva Path, using theAlmighty Pushto blast apart a couple of two-pointers before using theUniversal Pullto drag a three-pointer toward him, which he obliterated by switching back to theAsura Pathand blasting it with a laser created by a cannon he pulled from his detached left arm.
"Alright, that should be 10 points. I'm already on a roll!"

At Training Ground E, Wendy had already racked up 35 points as she used her Quirk,Heaven's Sky, which allowed her to manifest the power of sky dragons from ages past and turn their power into attacks or enchantments for herself or others around her, but the drawback was serious motion sickness.
"SKY DRAGON WIND ATTACK!"She shouted as cyan-colored wind emerged from her hands and struck the three-pointer in front of her.
"And that makes 38!" She chirped. "I wonder how Izuku and the others are doing."
She then turned to see a blonde boy with a belt who shot lasers struggling with some one-pointers that were surrounding him. Deciding to lend a hand, Wendy thrust her hand out toward him.
"ARMS!"
The boy was surrounded by a cyan aura as his laser gained more power, allowing him to wipe out all the robots surrounding him. He turned to give Wendy a grateful look, flashing a sparkling wink.
"Merci, we make a good team, you and I!" He then dashed off. "Adieu!"

In Training Ground C, Lisanna had already racked up 29 points, while Eflman was ten points ahead at 39, thanks to their Quirks.
"Whew, so far so good. I'll be there soon Mira." Mirajane said as she changed into a Cheetah-Human Hybrid with her Quirk,Animal Soul, which allowed her to change any part of her body to that of any animal or go full-on animal if she wanted.
"A real man never lets anyone show them up!" Elfman preached as he kept moving, turning his arms into those of a gorilla with his Quirk,Beast Soul, which allowed him to change any part of his body into that of a beast from mythology or go full-on beast mode whenever he wanted.
FAIRY
In the viewing room, the teachers of UA were the ones judging the event saying that the examinees had no idea where the other bots were or how many weren't destroyed.
"This year's batch looks promising." An intelligent voice noted as he looked over the monitors. "They have no idea how many enemies there are and must cover a vast area. Some use information gathering."
This was punctuated by a tall young man with multiple arms scouting from a roof while Izuku used theAnimal Pathto summon a giant Crane to fly to a heavily robot-filled area the beast spotted beforehand.
"Others keep cool under pressure." Another noted as the blonde boy Wendy helped out blasted a robot apart with a laser while Gajeel's body was covered in iron scales as he smashed through several robots at once.
"Others still use cunning and skill." Another voice continued as Levy wrote 'Boom' in the air with her finger, the letters manifesting before exploding like an actual explosive.
"And others are raw power." A western-sounding voice continued, looking at Katsuki as he blew bot after bot into scrap.
"And some are a bit bizarre but no less effective." A feminine voice said as Elfman transformed into a Weretiger to increase his strength and speed.
"The best students use a combination of all these skills to succeed." The intellectual voice nodded.
FAIRY
Back with Izuku, he was catching his breath after he destroyed a couple of two-pointers that tried to sneak up on him by blasting them with a pair of machine guns that sprouted from his shoulders using theAsura Path.
"Alright, I guess I have somewhere around 71 points now. That's gotta be a passing score."He thought to himself.
Suddenly, everyone in the area felt a powerful tremor, they looked to see a robot that was about the size of the Wayside building. Some of the applicants started to panic and run from the behemoth while Izuku just stared up in disbelief.
"Okay...that's a big robot."
"Help! I'm stuck!" Ochako cried from under a pile of rubble, getting Izuku's attention.
At that moment, Izuku didn't think, he just acted. Biting his thumb hard enough to draw blood, he slammed his palm into the ground.
"SUMMONING JUTSU!"He shouted and in a massive puff of smoke, a giant buffalo the size of the zero-pointer appeared with Izuku standing on it."ANIMAL PATH SUMMON #2: STORMING OX!"
Nearby, Gray and Juvia, who were helping any examinees who tripped and got stuck, looked up to see Izuku's summon as the former grinned.
"Oh hell yeah, show 'em who's boss, Izuku!"
FAIRY
Back in the viewing room, the teachers were all left falling over each other in shock when they saw what Izuku did.
"What the?! Is that a giant buffalo?!" The western voice shouted in shock.
"The legendary Storming Ox." The intellectual voice gasped in realization. "One of the twenty or so summons that are granted by theAnimal Path."
"Wait, does that mean...?!" The woman in the room gasped in realization.
"The Rinnegan is on UA grounds."
FAIRY
Izuku's summon bellowed loudly as it clashed with the giant robot and started pushing it backward. The giant hunk of metal tried to resist by grabbing the ox's horns and pushing back but to no avail.
Gray and Juvia quickly made their way over and helped Ochako out of the rubble he was pinned under. Gray then channeled his Quirk,Demon's Ice, which allowed him to harness his darker emotions to manifest the powers of ice demons from ages past, meaning he could manipulate and even shape ice however he chose.
"Hold on, I'm gonna try and apply some ice to that wound."
"T-Thanks..." Ochako winced.
Back with Izuku, Storming Ox bellowed as he pushed the robot back even further before getting his head underneath the robot and launching it into the air by several feet. Izuku then channeled all he had and then thrust both arms upward toward the zero-pointer.
"ALMIGHTY PUSH!"
A massive gravitational shockwave exploded out from Izuku, striking the zero-pointer and sending it flying far into the sky. Eventually, it soon left orbit entirely, floating into the deep dredges of outer space itself.
"And time's up!" Present Mic yelled as the exam ended.
Izuku panted heavily as he felt his energy reserves depleted greatly with that last attack. Storming Ox then disappeared in a puff of smoke as Izuku began falling from the sky, making Juvia cry out in alarm as Gray and Ochako noticed.
"ICE MAKE: RAMP!"
Gray quickly created a ramp of blue ice with the end about ten seconds before Izuku collided with the pavement. Ochako then ran up the ramp, jumped, activated her Quirk to keep her in the air, caught Izuku, and landed.
"R-Release...!" Ochako said as she deactivated her Quirk and set Izuku down before covering her mouth, a nauseous look crossing her face before she turned and puked her guts up.
"Better not let Erza see that or she'll be jealous." Gray joked as he helped Izuku to his feet.
"T-Thanks, Gray..."
FAIRY
A week later, Izuku was at home eating dinner with his Inko and Wendy. He would've been nervous about his chances of getting accepted, but he was confident in the score he'd gotten.
"Honey, aren't you nervous about your test results?" Inko questioned, wondering what was going through her son's head.
"No, I'm pretty confident in the score I got." The boy told her. "But thanks for asking anyway."
"I think I did pretty well too!" Wendy said.
A couple of hours later, Izuku was going over a couple of notes while lifting a dumbbell when Inko rushed in with a letter.
"Izuku, your test results! They're here!"
"And mine too!" Wendy said. "It's addressed to both of us!"
Izuku jumped to his feet as he and Wendy opened their letter, first pulling out a note from the school explaining that their results were on an enclosed holodisk inside the same envelope, along with their test results.
[Izuku Midoriya: Written exam: 88%. Practical Exam: HP: 71/RP: 60. Total: 131.]
[Wendy Marvell: Written Exam: 86%. Practical Exam: HP: 42/RP: 60. Total: 102.]
"Awesome! We made it!" Wendy cheered as she and her older cousin high-fived.
"Let's see what's on the holodisk." Izuku said as he took out the disk, which quickly played its message.
"Booyah! I am here as a projection now!"The apparent recording of All-Might exclaimed upon the disc's activation.
"What the?!" Izuku gasped, nearly falling out of his chair. "All Might? But–no way, does this mean?"
"If you're wondering what's going on, then the answer to that is: You're looking at the newest UA faculty member!"The #1 Hero exclaimed with a giant grin, much to Izuku's surprise."Now then, you did get an amazing score, yes, but I'm sure you also noticed the rescue points that were also mentioned. You see, rescue points were rewarded based on how much you aided and inspired others. Here, a video for you viewing pleasure on this matter!"
A recording showed Ochako approaching Present Mic after the exam was over..
"Excuse me, do you have a moment?"
"Yeah. Need something, little listener?"
"You know that teen that summoned the giant Ox… Buffalo… Creature?"Ochako asked, unable to figure out what the Storming Ox was, something that actually got a chuckle out of Izuku."I was wondering. C-Could you give him some of my points? It's just, he risked not getting as many points as the rest of us because he was helping me. I don't want to be the reason he didn't pass."
Izuku couldn't help but feel his heart tighten at this. Wendy snickered, wondering just how Erza would feel if she saw this.
"No need to go that far. He did just fine in the exam."Present Mic told her with a pat on her shoulder. This made the girl smile as she let out a sigh of relief as the video ended.
"You see? You inspired her with your selfless actions! This is what UA searches for in its applicants! And so, final score: 71 villain points and 60 rescue points for 131 points!"All Might declared enthusiastically."This score has guaranteed your place in UA's Hero Course! Welcome to your hero academia!"
"Haha! Alright!" Izuku cheered, glad to finally be going to the academy of his dreams.
"We're going to UA together, Izuku!" Wendy beamed as she hugged her cousin while looking at the Top 20 rankings of the exam.

The very next night, the entire Fairy Tail Guild got together at Lucy's mansion to celebrate all of them making it into UA. While the kids partied, Inko, Layla and Mitsuki (Katsuki may not have been allowed, but Layla could never forget her closest friends) got a wee bit drunk and sobbed as they realized their babies where now on their way to becoming heroes.
Juvia, Lucy and Levy had enjoyed regailing of their adventures, especially when Natsu and Gajeel tensed, fumed and vowed to 'have words' with some of the 'flirters'. Gray sadly did not seem to care, but to be fair, Juvia was on him for telling Erza about Izuku saving Ochacko…without her!
Erza had simply patted Izuku on the head for saving his new friend and vowed to meet her and thank her for saving him…or trying at least. A sentiment that was shared by Lucy, who then suggested to her father that they look into Uraraka construction for the building of the next branch of the Heart Kruez corperation.
Mirajane had hugged Elfman and Lisana tightly, proud of her baby siblings. Laxus bid the Thunder Legion a tearful goodbye, as they were off to Shinketsu. Despite this, they vowed to stay in touch and get stronger.
Soon, Izuku raised his glass filled with Coca-Cola.
"Listen, you all are probably the greatest friends a guy like me could ask for, so… To becoming heroes!" He said as they all raised their glasses as well.
"TO BECOMING HEROES!"
And with a clink of their mugs, the downing of copious amounts of soda pop, some good food and laughs, the legend of Fairy Tail's most legendary alumnai began.
