"Thanks, Rosie, I wasn't sure what I'd do with this many bodies."

"No problem, darling. Anything for you and my sweet cannibal baby," Rosie said in a hearty voice, bobbing a finger at Charlie's nose, then glanced at her demons, clearing most of everything, not just the corpses but also the debris.

A sheepish smile cracked from Charlie as she lightly stroked her nose, still feeling the aftertouch while appreciating Rosie's help from before and after extermination day. Thankful as she may be, there's a mixture of sadness. More than a quarter of citizens, maybe half, from Cannibal Town lost their lives, and there's a sense of responsibility Charlie felt she held accountable. The guilt written all over her face was then immediately caught by Rosie.

"What's with the long face? Is something bothering you?" Rosie asked, bringing Charlie's full attention towards her and then averting from looking.

Nervous sweat forms around Charlie's hands, uncertain where to begin, so she takes a deep breath and replies with a question rather than an answer, "What will happen to the bodies? Not the angels."

"Simple, we'll feast on them like it's a festivity."

"Oh. Right." Of course, they'll eat them, which wasn't surprising for Charlie to hear that response. However, she couldn't help and rambled, "I was just curious because…I'm curious. Those who fell must have loved ones they knew and felt…some regret. Remorseful, maybe. And the one who lived must also share the same. So, like, to ease their grief, a ceremony should be held to remember them. It's…uh… They must be—"

"Will you do the honor, then, princess? Others definitely will appreciate the thoughtfulness and generosity you're putting in, if you do," Rosie offered, which set Charlie back on how to proceed until there's a heartwarming feeling tugged on her chest. The kind suggestion lightened her mood, and a slight smile spread across her face. Seeing her like this brought Rosie with joy.

Unable to resist herself, she grabbed and wrapped around Charlie's arms. Without leaving an inch between them, Rosie chipper away excitedly, "Now, that's out of the way. Tell me, how's the hotel holding up to you so far? Any plans after this whole incident. Alastor never tells, so I want a little spice. If you don't mind sharing."

"Getting more sinners to redeem, that's the goal. But I hope they will come," Charlie said worryingly, knowing it would be difficult, but now she had someone adding to the staff. "My dad is also here, so I'm not too worried."

"Sounds wonderful. Father and daughter bonding in business, like I did with mine, but…end up in a tragedy," she muttered the last few words in a grimace, then continued, "You'll love it, especially your father. He's such a funny, silly man. Let me tell you." That piqued Charlie's interest in hearing what others had to say about her dad and paying full attention to Rosie. "When things are small or big, he'll go all out on his appearances and decorations. Like it's a competition. He also loves conversation that'll lead to nowhere, blabbering nonstop that it's hard for one to excuse oneself."

Charlie laughed, then agreed, "That does sound like dad. I didn't think you knew him. You are an Overlord, so you two could have known each other. But, Alastor," she muttered in confusion. "He doesn't. Weird."

"Darling, he always forgets. Or, more precisely, choose to forget. That's how your father is, but I never take it personally because that's the fun part. It's great to be a stranger for once." Rosie paused as her eyes caught two figures leaving the hotel and walking down the stairs as she giddy away from Charlie. "Look at who we have here. Husker!"

Hearing that detestable name, Husk turned toward whoever was calling to him, then panicked when he recognized Rosie running toward him with two arms wide open. He stood still and prepared for the impact as she hugged him, snuggling on the cheek. The person who was accompanying him, Angel Dust, gave a surprised look with questions. Same as to Charlie. They watched Rosie caress under Husk's chin with a tiny scratch, which nearly made him purr, but he instantly caught himself from doing it.

"Husker, dear, it's been a while. How've you been after stepping down? I missed seeing you," Rosie cooed, continuing scratching, making it worse as Husk groin annoyingly while attempting to escape.

The grip was so tight that Husk managed to fight to be released further from her grasp and hurriedly hid behind Angel Dust with his head poking out. Agitated and breathed in a struggle as he fumbled under his chin, then the rest above the shoulder, trying to get rid of this touchy, uncomfortable feeling. Goosebumps trail all over Husk's body as the rest of his furs followed, standing up, a shiver of disgust.

Husk growled and glared, pointing his finger at Rosie. "Keep your mangy hands to yourself!"

"Mangy?" Rosie gasped, acting shocked, then smiling happily. "Is that any way to speak to an old friend? Where have your manners gone to?"

"Buried deep in hell like every goddamn motherfucker here."

Angel Dust whistled impressively and leaned backward, whispering, "I didn't know you could purr."

"I don't!" Husk yelled embarrassedly.

"Sweety, you do, and there's nothing to be ashamed. Like you and me, we had our own issues, and it's hard to keep them hidden forever." Anger fumes over Husk at how dismissive Rosie was at the antic she has done, so he was about to open his mouth to protest but got shoved aside. Stumbling backward and seeing her fond over Angel Dust, then leaned close to the taller sinner while giving a toothy grin and asking, "And who is this fellow friend of yours?"

"Angel Dust," he introduced himself, returning with an awkward smile. "Nice to meet cha."

"Charming…" Rosie said enthusiastically, backing away and turning to Husk with a humph, putting her hands on her hips. "Geeze, Husker, we really do need to catch up like the old days. Your taste in friends has changed significantly. Less…naggy. As I put it."

Husk's anger slowly defused to annoyance, then a sigh of defeat as exhaustion overwhelmed him, massaging his forehead before glancing at Charlie, standing there nervously with two palms clenching together. Any minute or second, Husk's mind will burst due to the insanity and various emotions Rosie putting him through. She really knows how to rile him up, on purpose or not. One thing Husk will comment on is that she is sweet, very sweet that it's hard to stray away.

He shook his head, hand still covering his face, and was unwilling to look at Rosie, passing by her to where Angel Dust stood. Without turning his back knowingly, she didn't take her eyes off him throughout. Husk let out another sigh, but longer and grumbled as he pulled and stretched his face down like a sense of misery, then released.

"Let's make this quick," he muttered tiredly with irritation, having Angel Dust blinked surprisingly at the state he was in. A hand up, shooing without looking at Rosie as Husk speaks, "Mind your own damn self, Rosie. We ain't close, and my business is my business."

"Come on, now. A little conversation won't hurt, right?"

Dead eyes, that's all Husk's reaction can put. Stubborn as he should be, he scoffed at Rosie's remarks but eventually warmed up to her advances by catching a glimpse over the shoulder.

"Five minutes," he muttered, almost a shout, which overjoyed Rosie at the failed contempt. "That's all I'll give you because I need to get supplies."

Rosie nodded and said, "After you disappeared and your gambling house closed, with your powers as well, we assumed the worst. Many were questioning your whereabouts or if you truly were gone. Now, seeing that you're here, I already got my answer." Hearing that makes Husk's stomach rumble with discomfort about wanting to leave and not continue listening. "You're one of our strongest and best Overlords among our peers, Husk."

"Can't help it, can I? Lost too many cards to become what I've become. It's a part of my nature that's hard to get rid of," Husk said, holding back his dejected voice.

"Quite understandable. Never thought I imagined you'd be working here alongside with Alastor." Husk froze after hearing that name, immediately turning, then saw Rosie's expression perplexed. "You two never have a genuine conversation once, but coincidence does happen."

Husk nervously laughed, "Yeah, a coincidence."

"Well, you're not the first or last Overlord outside the circle he crossed."
