Arriving at the door, A Chariot, one that is similar to the one our squad had faced before, floats in the middle of the room with its hands raised to its face, blocking the majority of lasers hitting it.

I look around, seeing squad V.I, their hairs, an assortment of black, light-orange, and flaxen color, standing out from the huge black and gray room, along with their bodysuits that complement well with them making it easy for me to notice them, encircling it while keeping a distance from the beast, the textbook way of dealing with the normal variant.

Ah, this is their first assignment and already having to deal with a Chariot… With no support… Such a disgrace on us as their seniors.

Although, I don't see Kiana or Bronya anywhere nearby. Most likely there were more enemies than expected in the other -

"We could really use the help, Mei!"

I blink, hearing the words screaming from one of them, erm, Yui I believe was her name, calling my name, "Ah -" I was about to jump in, yet a sudden explosion right beside stops me in my tracks with the door flying right at the beast.

"Don't get cocky you greenhorns!"

Oh dear, Kiana please stop picking a fight with the… Newbies? I think that's what she called them before.

I let out a sigh, my face twitching as I see her kicking the beast with her… Big cat paw thingy that comes out from her por - oh dear, there she goes flying off.

…Hachiman. Don't you thumbs up at the beast.

I shake my head then jump into the fray by launching myself at the beast, katana poised to stab it.

*POIPOIPOI*

Third Person POV

"Isshiki! Don't move back or else the encirclement will be broken!" Mei yells as she sticks her katana, with purple electric sparking underneath her, into the beast and twists it, sending the beast into a frenzy of slashes while roaring. Without even a single glance, she quickly jumps away to avoid a swipe coming for her then lands at the left side of a female with flaxen hair with her katana radiating purple lightning.

A female with shoulder-length flaxen hair that has bangs hanging on the left side, wearing a light yellow armor/body suit that leaves her upper shoulder to side breast and side legs uncovered, black combat boots, and holding a simple looking laser rifle, flinches as she hastily stops herself from taking a step back.

"S-sorry!" Isshiki glances at Mei, with her eyes briefly meeting red eyes, and her eyes twitches, though she quickly focus her attention back at the beast and widens her eyes, due to it facing her now, "Sh -"

The beast disappears from her sight in a beam of white and crashes against the wall to her right, prompting her to look left and see Bronya, palm facing at the beast, and the mech behind her.

Bronya glances at her then nods with a blank face, "Subject Isshiki, further practice awareness." She turns her attention back at the beast while hovering closer to it then fires off another beam from her mech, careful to not hit Mei and Kiana on top of it.

Isshiki awkwardly nods before flinching as she hears a loud roar from her right, almost rupturing her eardrums if it weren't for her earpiece muffling the sound, "Isshiki dodge!" She instinctively jumps back, barely dodging the beast's charge.

"Thanks Yukino!" Isshiki yells as she aims her rifle at the beast in front of her now, who in response tries to lift its hand, yet falters due to the numerous wounds taking a toll on it, "Just die already!"

Her rifle lights up in a brilliant dark yellow glow and fires off a light yellow beam that pierces one of the black spots of the beast's front, prompting it to freeze up then falls down to the ground, still as if it had never moved.

Isshiki hyperventilates as she stares at the beast then falls down to her knees, "A-a… Chariot…" She absently mutters with her face twitching.

Yukino, wearing a black skin-tight suit that has blue-glowing metal bits covering all of her important parts, a belt on her waist, black metallic gloves and combat boots, and holding simple looking black laser pistols in both hands, slowly walks to Isshiki while holding her right arm, "Indeed… We were unlucky to encounter a Chariot…" She grimaces as she stands beside her.

Yui, wearing a light pink metal suit, with a black skin-tight cloth underneath, that leaves her shoulder, upper breast, and joints area uncovered as to allow flexibility, a belt on her waist with a few empty holsters, silver metallic gloves and combat boots, and holding a black mace in her right hand while a laser pistol in her left, let out a sigh as she rubs her back, "Y-yeah… Like what's up with our luck…"

Mei comes up to them from behind, prompting all of them to look at her, "All of you did well for your first mission," She pauses then wryly smiles, "Except for your attire…"

All 3 of them sport various tears in their suits, with some blood gushing out of them, though Yui has the most tears. At the mention of attire, all of them try their best to cover themselves up with their hands and the latter awkwardly chuckles, "Ahaha… We… Kinda ran into more enemies than expected…"

Mei blinks but smiles at them, "Oh, I see…" Then instantly snaps her head at Kiana, who was walking towards them from the wall that the beast had thrown her into, "Kiana~"

Kiana, almost reaching them, freezes in place as she sees Mei serenely smiling at her then awkwardly smiles, "Yes?"

"No food for you for three days."

Kiana's eyes go wide open while she runs up to Mei and slides to grab her knees, "Nooooooo! Look I made a mistake but they're the top team for a reason right? So I thought -"

Mei tilts her head, still serenely smiling, "In practice, Kiana." She raises her right arm when she sees Kiana opening her mouth, "They don't have two Herrschers, a mercenary, and a high quality captain like us, so do not bring up our first mission."

Kiana merely wails as she presses her face against Mei's legs, though she does try to grope a feel, yet a hand is there to smack her attempt.

Squad V.I merely watch their seniors antic with various level of awkwardness in their face while Bronya lets out a long deep sigh, "This Bronya will remind subject Idiotka that we still have a mission and sexual harassment is not acceptable."

Kiana instantly snaps her head at Bronya with a grimace, "Oh shut up midget. It's not you that is getting her food revoked!"

"Subject Idioka has brought it upon herself for abandoning your duty of escorting Squad V.I."

"But -"

"Kiana, do you want it to be five days?"

Kiana instantly shuts up, though it's obvious how unwillingly she does it, prompting Mei to sigh while her left hand pats the former on the head, "Alright, alright, come on get up Kiana. You're showing a bad example to your juniors."

"...Not like I care…" Kiana silently mutters while slowly getting up.

"Hmm?"

"Nothing!"

Yui taps on Yukino's shoulder, prompting the latter to glance at her, "...What is going on, Yukino?" She silently asks while glancing at her seniors.

"...Just ignore it, Yui." Yukino shrugs then glances at Bronya near her now, "Erm… Miss Bronya -"

"Subject Yukino may refer this Bronya as Bronya."

Yukino blinks then slowly nods, "Then… Bronya, what should we do?"

Bronya merely points at the far end of the room, which lies a rectangular table with a large transparent screen on it, "Turn the control back on and either bring the ship back to base or sink it as last resort." She doesn't bother to hear a reply before floating over to the table.

Isshiki overhears Bronya and quickly rises up to her feet, "U-um, do you need help, Bronya?" She asks while quickly walking next to her.

Bronya opens her mouth but closes it back then opens it back up, "Subject Isshiki may oversee the procedure as reference."

Isshiki blinks, not expecting for Bronya to accept, then rapidly nods, "Y-yes!"

The duo come upon the table and Bronya fiddles around with it, until the screen brightens up with commands in them. She nods to herself then quickly taps on the screen, until the screen shows a lock.

Bronya slightly frowns, "...Troublesome." She opens up her metal wrist, showing a small and long cable inside that she quickly takes out to connect it into the machine.

Isshiki glances down at her wrist, "Erm, what are you doing?"

Bronya takes a quick glance at her, "This Bronya is locked out of the system and required to hack into it to bypass the block."

"Um, that won't harm you in any way, right?"

"Negative…" Bronya trails off as she glances at the wire and the screen, "Unless a virus is in there that will attack any attempt to bypass."

Isshiki frowns, "Isn't that bad then?"

"Indeed. But now that I am aware of such possibility, there is no fear of the virus." She nods at her then sticks the wire into a port underneath the screen.

Few minutes go by, with Isshiki looking at the screen and the others, who are also now looking at them, then the screen turns back into the original screen before the lock.

Bronya lightly smiles and nods, "Success." She taps on the screen, a command with the name 'Start', and the whole room brightens up, with the back of her being the brightest.

Isshiki glances back, only to see buildings of all sorts on the right side while the left side is the ocean, though the view is slanted down a bit, "Woah…"

"Indeed." Bronya also glances back after hearing Isshiki's woah, "Ship is now under control and heading back to base."
